I have been a member for over 12 years and am disappointed with the new direction. I like the new flooring, some arrangements and the open space of the turf area but I do notice management seems unapproachable and a sense of disregard is given to valid concerns as we all undergo adjustments. There are some changes that do not benefit lifters' needs and safety. To be specific, the DB equipment and chest machines are awkwardly placed, resembling more of an obstacle course than an ease of loading weights on bars and equipment. Even more oddly, other spots have weirdly open spaces that are not necessary. I am not sure the layout has been fully thought through to benefit the lifters. It presents a careless and thoughtless feel to the members creating a very negative experience. The remodel trash in the corner is confusing too as that space can be used to alleviate the obstacle course feel. The temporary DL set up forces lifters to use improper form. The placement of the weights and bar are higher than the placement of the feet. Right now, the feet stand 1 1/2 inches below the bottom of the weight plate which is not a DL and forces the lifter to miss out on full ROM. The small platform used for a deficit DL is also missing and the original platform is sitting in the trash pile instead of being used while the new ones arrive. There is still room for the DL loader but it is inconsiderately gone as well. The shorter bar which can aid in Hip Thrusts is also gone. The Bench Press with safeties has not been placed back. This is a bench with a bench height that specifically aids shorter individuals and women specifically due to the safety bar option. No other bench press has this safety feature which helps when increasing weight on the bar. Membership prices increased but equipment before the increase has now disappeared. If there is a membership increase, the options should remain the same or improve. Instead we have some improvements and missing options we have had for over 10 years. That seems unbalanced. The Smith machines do not have a mirror for proper set up to align shoulders on the bar. The machines are facing the opposite direction to have a mirror if one would be added to the wall. I do not feel as safe as I have in the past. I am paying more and receiving less. I have not been considered as an important part to the configuration and items offered. I anticipated uncomfortable adjustments and have overlooked a lot, embracing the change. A few of the changes borderline inconsideration and unsafe options for ALL members involved. I have to add that the staff is extremely helpful and keeps everything positive but I do not see or hear where valid concerns are making their way to the proper channels.

I didn't want to have to leave this review. We were members of the The Fitness Project for 1 year. We really liked the kids area and the teachers. We decided to freeze our account at our 1 year mark while we decided what we wanted to do for the next year. After a couple months we decided to cancel. I called and spoke with someone at the front desk. They acted like it would be taken care of (no one told me to come in and sign a cancelation form). A few months roll by and we are still being charged a monthly membership fee. So I called and spoke to a young man. He said he would talk with the manager Neill and have Neill call me back. Neill never called me back. Fast forward to today, I called FP again (trying to do my due diligence) and finally spoke with Neill. I explained that no one at the front desk told me to come in person. He essentially said that's not true because all the staff know the cancelation procedure. When I asked why he didn't call me back when I called a few months ago, Neill said he wasn't told about our situation (by the two people I spoke with over mutiple times I called). I asked that if he wasn't told about our situation even though I called, is it possible his staff didn't tell me about my next steps? Clearly there ARE some communication issues going on if two people never communicated to Neill that someone had an important question about membership and payments, and by Neill's own admission he was never told I called. He buckled down and said his staff all know the cancelation procedure and would have told me. Neill also said he has no authority to reimburse any funds because we didn't come in person to sign the cancelation document, despite the fact that his staff never communicated that to me (I live right down the road and would have come in). We are out hundreds of dollars (6 months worth of memberships between myself and my husband and our 4 kids) and we recognize we won't get it back. It seems to me the issue is lack of communication within the office staff. .

The employees will tell you that it is $10 bi weekly and cancel at any time without any fees and no other hidden fees. Turns out that there is a $100 fee to cancel early or in a span of 30 days you have to go in 10 times, get shown around, do a body scan or get a letter from a fitness clinic to be able to cancel and there is also an annual "maintenance fee" that you have to pay that they do not mention. They will lie to you to saying you are signing to verify your information without letting you know or see that it is actually a contract they try to lock you into get you then once you are signed up it turns into "Well you signed up sorry". My wife called and spoke to what seems to be the owner and he told her to "Just pay the $100" to be able to get out of the contract. I was also told by whom is apparently the owner that I was not allowed to deadlift in the area I was deadlifting in even though I was deadlifting immediately after another person had done. So I moved to another area after another gym goer was done deadlifting and the owner came back to let me know that I was not allowed to deadlift there neither even though he never stopped either person. Apparently he was on a zoom call and heard me deadlifting so he came out to stop me. If you like to powerlift I highly recommend you avoid this gym. Some of the employees are polite but not all are. The gym is too small for the amount of members it has, the rules do not seem to apply evenly to all gym goers, and they will lie to you about the membership and its cancellation policy in order to get you to sign up. If you are looking for a professional gym that is honest about their charges and has a decent amount of professionalism keep looking. I would give this gym a negative star if I could.

I read a lot of reviews before going into the newly branded Gold’s Gym - “Fitness Project” and decided to use their “7 day pass” to try it out. One of the biggest appeals was the kids place. So, I walk in with my two kiddos and immediately we are greeted and welcomed by two friendly face, who I now know as Miguel and Julie. Miguel explained everything in detail and gave me a tour of the gym. Being a prior member of gold gym a long time ago, I was interested to see the improvements. I was blown away at how they utilized every inch of the gym to accommodate everyone’s personal fitness goals. The ladies fitness area is somewhat secluded and I wish it was a tad bigger and more closed off but it has everything you need. The tour to the kids place was fantastic. My kids saw the playground and immediately ran into the playroom without even waving goodbye. The playroom teachers were kind and caring. I give them much kudos for taking care and playing with all those kiddos! I was able to try out a circuit training class with a fabulous fitness coach, Carolyn. She was accommodating, motivating, and suggested different workouts that may work better with my fitness strengths since I just under gone surgery. After just the second day of working out, my kids loved it so much that I decided to sign up. Miguel and Michelle walked me through the details of my membership and helped me understand all the perks to utilize my membership to the fullest. The staff there, Miguel, Michelle, Julie, Carolyn and the two young ladies in the kids playroom (I’m sorry I forgot their names) have exceeded my expectations and glad we took the opportunity to try out our neighborhood gym.

My journey at Fitness Project Kingwood has been quite the rollercoaster – with moments of pure satisfaction and a few bumps along the way. While the gym offers a wide array of equipment, it's not immune to the occasional overcrowding issue. And let's dive into the billing and cancellation saga – it's been a bit of a maze to navigate. I made sure to give a solid 60-day notice before my exit, but their requirement for an in-person cancellation, even though I'm not in the state, has left me scratching my head. I still have not received a resolution to the additional charges. But here's the gem in the rough (The only reason I gave this review 2 stars) – Faith, the superstar at the front desk. Amidst the confusion, she's been a constant source of warmth and attentiveness. It's as if she's on a first-name basis with every member. Kudos to Faith for elevating the experience. Speaking of the gym itself, there's definitely no shortage of workout options. The flip side? When it's packed, you might find yourself waiting for that coveted treadmill. All in all, Fitness Project Kingwood presents a mixed bag. The equipment variety is fantastic, but the crowds during peak hours can put a damper on the fun. As for the billing and cancellation process, it could use some fine-tuning for a more seamless experience. And amidst all this, Faith shines brightly, making the journey a bit more enjoyable. Here's to hoping the management irons out the wrinkles, so we can all reap the benefits with a bit more ease.

I planned to go to this gym because it is close to my house, but after talking two 2 staffs here over the phone, I decide this is not the one I want to go to. They are not being honest to me about the price. I told them I already visit the gym and go over price, but I want to know one more time, they told me to go to the website , so what is the point of me talking to them then ?! If it is too difficult to deal with at the beginning, I predict at the end will be no good. Plus, I told them I claimed for 30 days free pass, they said it is not free, it is 30 days money back whatever. I am out. You can say you are proud of your staffs all you want but at the end of the day you train them to play mind game and be dishonest; really bad management for business. Why should I talk to them in person while I talk to them on the phone and they tell me to go to the website. Waste of time just to fix one simple issue. I don’t want to waste more time and money here because I don’t like how staffs and manager handle and run the business. Not everyone has time to run in because you want them too, we do not live in the 80s, the phone can do the job of communicating. Good thing that I did not sign up. Good luck

Cons: Almost none of the equipment is bolted down so they move a lot during workouts and migrate across the floor constantly. The sauna works about half the time and if it’s not on you have to go up to the front desk to ask them to turn it on, it’s not worth the effort. The equipment is constantly breaking and usually stays out of commission for a month or more before it’s fixed. They push you to get the most expensive membership and say you can change it in the first month without canceling but they never once got back to me about changing my membership so I had to pay an insane amount due to them not answering emails or the phone for half a month after I injured my knee and couldn’t come in. They require you to come in to cancel a membership which can be hard if you move and need to cancel. There are also hidden fees and they say that adding a bank account instead of a card will take away extra fees but it doesn’t. Pros: Amazing staff that are very helpful and kind, very clean everywhere especially the locker rooms, they have amazing janitorial staff that’s always on top of everything, and the classes are lots of fun with great trainers.

EDIT: the sauna works now, and there are 2 new squat racks, so they are improving which is good to see. Kind of an L gym. I'll start out with the positives. The staff is nice. There is a decent variety of equipment. Its not too expensive. The problem is, It feels like they will improve anything besides the actual equipment (alot of which is broken all the time). They would rather put money into new zumba classes and cosmetics than adding/replacing equipment. There are only one of several important machines (leg extension, hack squat, etc) and there are more smith machines than squat racks. The machines themselves are nothing special. There is a sauna that hasn't worked for months. The floors are currently being replaced so there are machines everywhere, and people are being kicked off of equipment that is clearly safe to use, like the cable machines because of "liability issues", which should have already been covered in the waver you sign when you sign up. This place isn't bad if you're new to working out, but if not I'd reccomend going some place else.

The gym was small and always crowded at the times when I would actually go in. I didn’t really use my membership for this reason. After waiting for my term to end (to avoid a $100 cancellation fee) I went to cancel and was shocked to find that I wasn’t actually canceling but was putting in a “30 day request to cancel” like what?! This isn’t an apartment why do I need to give you 30 days to cancel other than you wanting to continue to collect my money for a gym that is way too small for how many people are signed up. Given the recent reviews it’s clear that I am not the only person very confused by this policy. Given it is in the contract, I think some additional training of sales staff needs to be done in order to really communicate the ridiculous hoops patrons have to go through in order to cancel a membership. If I get charged an annual fee while in my 30 days cancellation period I will take legal action.

I went in this week to try out the gym. CJ was one of the rudest people I've come across in a long time. Next level rude. I handed over the free one-day trial certificate I had, and he couldn't be bothered to read a sentence on the paper. Instead, he was extremely rude and demanded I tell him what it was. He eventually went in the back and got a woman to help me. While I was waiting, another employee who had just ended his shift was waiting by the desk and asked if he could help since he could tell I was distressed. That's when the woman came out to help. It really appeared the woman and the off duty employee were aware of how rude CJ is and were trying to make up for it. They both were very nice and are why this review is not just one star. CJ should not be on the front desk and interacting with new customers at all. Bad impression. The person running the gym needs to be aware CJ is bad for business.

In 20 years of going to the the gym and currently holding 3-4 other gym memberships, this is one of the worst ran gyms I’ve ever been to. Things are always broken, the sauna is never in service, and 50% of the staff are neither helpful, nice, or have a clue! Management has made the critical error of doing improvements to the gym during standard peak gym hours instead of after hours. I’ve never seen a gym shut down 60-70% of the gym during normal gym times. This is just poor management and very dumb. You’ve taken away gym time from loyal customers who overpay for a poorly outfitted gym and still charge them as if the gym is fully operational and that’s just shady. Kingwood is finally getting a real gym soon and I hope most of the good folks at this one leave for something better ran and better equipped! I would not recommend this overpriced tiny gym to anyone!

Our boys (4 and 2) are in the Fitness Project Child Care almost daily, and the employees are amazing with them. I was very hesitant at first because of previous experiences at other gyms, but they exceeded my expectations. They remembered the boys by name after the first visit, and they’re very patient with our rambunctious 2 year old. I feel very comfortable leaving them there for an hour while I get a good workout in, and it takes a lot for me to trust people with my kids. The gym itself is very clean and has plenty of workout equipment, even during peak hours. I appreciate the steps they’re taking to keep the gym a safe place to workout during these questionable times, and their price is amazing for the services offered. I highly recommend this gym to everyone in the area.

Avg Gym with a limited # of core equipment. In short: AM workouts - It's a great gym! PM workouts - Expect wait times & have alternative routines planned. Pro's: + It has the right equipment. + The staff is friendly, + It is kept clean. + Multi-use/"athletic" space /area Con's: It has very limited "Core" equipment ( Two Squat racks, 4-5 benches. - Given the limited # of equipment, I have found the gym to be very busy in the evening (7:30- 10:00 pm) So I have to improvise on workouts. - Gym etiquette /Culture is avg. Lots of folks are on phones for extended periods on equipment. Example: Using the squat rack for over 30 min for 3x10 or using one of the two squat racks for curls. NOTE: I have found the situation to be better in the AM (5:00 am- 7:00 am)

I went to your location to cancel my membership on April 18, 2023. I was told that I needed to pay 100 dollars that day. I did as I was told. I also was told that I would be charged for the month of May, up until May 10th and I understood. I don’t know or remember who talked to me that day. But I didn’t know that I was supposed to sign another form in order for it to come into effect. They neglected to tell me that. So I was charged $27.06 on May 24 and June 7th. I don’t believe this is my fault, I don’t know the process of canceling because I don’t work there like you all do. I don’t know the procedures. I don’t think it’s fair that I got charged extra for your neglect... I have emailed twice on this issue already and NO RESPONSE!

I’ve been looking for a gym, since I have gotten back into fitness, that was completely comfortable without any intimidation or judgment. When I went to try the gym out, I was met by Drew who was very friendly and informative. He treated me with respect and answered any questions I had about memberships and the gym. After workout out that night, I knew this was the place to call my home gym. Every time I come here to workout, I am able to get my workout in without any delays. The equipment is in great shape, and the staff is always friendly. The trainer, Jonathan, was very helpful to answer any questions I had and encouraged me on my fitness journey. I don’t feel out of place or judged here. Thank you for making me feel at home.

  • Kimberly Garcia

I got the 7 day pass to try the gym on the second day that I went the manager Neil basically was forcing me to sign up to the gym because we couldn’t just do the 7 day pass that they promote all over their website and business cards.. I explained to him that I wasn’t sure if I wanted to sign up and he kept pressuring me and telling me that I needed to sign up because there’s a 30 day money back guarantee!!! “With no commitment “ After reading the reviews I’m glad I didn’t sign up because looks like they just say that to get you to sign up and like the reviews said the machines are down. I went twice and couldn’t do my usual work outs. Reminded me why I stopped going to golds gym in the first place. Definitely don’t recommend.

I had the pleasure of visiting Fitness Project Kingwood a couple months ago and had a tour by Sam Garcia. To be honest, at the time, I was not interested in joining a gym as we had a fitness room in the community in which I lived. Sam was so gracious to show me all the benefits of Fitness Project, explained the classes, showed me equipment and I was sold! Ever since, I have been going at least twice a week and can't imagine my life without this place now lol. Sam is the best! Her smile, her energy, her thoroughness and patience with explaining all the things FP has to offer was amazing. I am truly thankful for Sam and for FP with giving me my wellness back. So far, I see amazing results and I owe this all to Sam!

The cleaning lady is always in the men’s locker room, she walks in without saying anything and she doesn’t care if there are people in the shower or coming out of it or changing without knowing she’s now there and she’ll see you naked, we can’t use the urinals since she’s always there, front desk people say it takes 10-15 min, so, do we have to wait in the shower that time and also guess that she’s now around? Not being able to pee or change for 10-15min? every time she’s cleaning which is several times in the morning, it’s frustrating that we can’t use the locker rooms comfortably, this need to be better organized without forgetting about customers. Also, rap o trap music is not for a gym or a workout music.

  • Erica crosno

I moved to this gym a little over a year ago. I was coming from a very small facility and was mildly overwhelmed. Everyone was very kind and exceptionally helpful with getting me used to the gym and where everything was. For there being a lot of people around, it never feels over crowded. They keep it pretty clean as well. The kids zone is dang epic. My son genuinely loves it there. When I tell him we aren’t going to the gym, he gets so bummed out. All the front staff are rocking with their big smiles and friendly banter. I can’t remember everyone’s names up there, but ALL of you… ROCK. Skarleth is always a breath of fresh air with her smile and happy demeanor. Thank you guys for having a great facility.

Great gym for bodybuilders to people that just want to feel better about themselves. They offer all kinds of classes for members and for bodybuilding there's pretty much everything one needs. The prices are cheap! It is obviously the best gym in town when you show up during rush hours times you will realize that but that's great. I use to train at golds gym in another state to a private owned gym just like this one but a huge building. I'm sure soon enough one will see another location opening here in kingwood and for the negative reviews about a machine or two broke down that is normal at any gym and the sauna has been working for the last 4 weeks I've been part of this great gym. Great gym!

  • Santiago Panama

Beware of these gym. They only want your money. I was a member for years, for years I was paying every month. I had to relocate to Alexandria in Louisiana, where they don't have a gym, and the crooks from the gym are sending me to a collection company after I provided proof that I was relocating to a place where they don't have a gym. Moreover, I was with them for years. You will make a better investment if you buy an exercise machine and work out at home rather than in a gym that is waiting to squeeze every penny possible out of their members, regardless if they have to play dirty. Don't make the same mistake I made. Don't waste your money in this place which is ran by crooks.

  • Riley Sony

This establishment has poor management. The staff have no ability to regulate space with customers and it is constantly under maintenance or some sort of construction. On top of that I've been a member for three or four years and have decided to cancel my membership because I no longer can go to the gym. It was the most difficult process to cancel my membership. They were requesting me to come in to sign documents or to sign a resignation letter as if I was an employee... I ended up having to cancel my cards and report them stolen so that I would get new card information that fitness project could not access. I hope this business has the misfortune/my fortune of going bankrupt.

  • Nick Augustin

Seth, Jade, and Miguel are a the dream team here! Every time I'm there they always remember my name, they are constantly working around the gym to ensure that everyone is taken care of and the equipment is being properly handled! Ive been working out here for a while now and i love it here. The sauna is always clean, lockers are always clean, and the equipment is cleaned regularly by the gym goers that are there or the staff. I highly recommend this gym to anyone and everyone! Fun fact! Everyone that works there is a normal gym goer as well, and they give great advice when they are on and off the clock. I hope someone reads this, because this place is dope!

  • Brandon LeMay

I will have to agree with many of the bad reviews. Do yourself a huge favor and find another gym. DO NOT sign a contract here. The managers are worthless and dont even think about complaining.....they will say it is your fault or blame corporate (they are overly nice though when you are putting your signature on a contract). Be careful with your cards as well. I had 4 memberships and due to the repeat charges, my discover kept frauding. Instead of an email or phone call, ABC just kept trying to charge my card over and over then stacked on multiple fees. They do not care and will refuse to assist you in any way. Place is a headache. You have been warned!

  • Macie Pledger

Didn’t love the gym atmosphere. So didn’t go. Decided to cancel my membership because I was just wasting money. Spent $200 for mine and husbands membership to be done. Spoke to 3 different employees, one being general manager. They stated that if I paid the buy out fee, We would not be charged anything else. They make you give a 30 day notice because calling and canceling then paying to get out membership isn't notice enough. And this month got charged again. All they could say was, “sorry you were misinformed.” They are just trying to take your money. After paying any buy out fee in my opinion that should be it. Lost respect for the gym.

  • Tray Bridgewater

I've been coming here for nearly a year. Great gym. The staff is wonderful: lots of appreciation for Faith, Jade, Caleb and Natalie. It's nice to get an excited wave after a really gruelling workout. The equipment is solid, and they even have some stuff that's harder to find at a lot of gyms (prowlers, a trap bar). My single complaint is that I wish they had bumper plates for the olympic lifts, but that's niche enough that I can't fault them. Just canceled my membership because I'm moving. Process was easy. Going to miss all my friends here!

  • Sammy John

This used to be one of my favorite gyms. However since their recent renovations has become one of my least favorite. While 90% of the gym was closed they allowed my friend to spend $35 on a week pass and did not inform us about the construction. When we asked for a refund we were told no and we could go to another location (which is roughly 30 extras minutes away from this location). They never formally told all their meme bets rather it was shared to Instagram instead of an email or message being sent. It is extremely unprofessional.

  • Lanie Green

Fitness Project is a really great gym and I enjoy my time there every time I come in. The employees are very helpful and kind when you walk in the door and while you are working out. Ms. Jade is one employee that I encounter often when I come in and I believe she is very knowledgeable and helpful when I ask for advice on form and using the equipment that I haven’t used before. She’s got a great attitude and you can tell she’s enthusiastic about her job. She encourages fitness and you can tell she makes her work environment positive.

  • john doe

I love this gym, it feels like more than a gym. I don’t write reviews often but everyone here is so friendly. They answer all the questions you have even the managers at the front come out and talk to you to help or greet you. The girls at the play area for my son are a breath of fresh air. Very friendly they greet and interact with my son. He would cry so much at first and now he doesn’t want to leave, he absolutely loves the pregnant teacher. Bathrooms are clean and sauna is a plus always. I recommend this gym for our community.

  • Miguel F

JUST AVOID THIS GYM. Its not the same it use to be. I have been going to this GYM for a whole year and this July decided it was time to take my business somewhere else. It truly saddens me because I’ve made great relationships with other members here. It use to be such a welcoming and empowering place. Now it’s just like any other business and it’s ran by individuals who are there for a check and not to impact those members who are seeking a motivating change in their lifestyle.

  • Logan Hicks

I’ve been working out at this gym for over a year now and it is overall a great gym. The staff here are always friendly and the overall environment of all the members here are great! My only complaint is I’m not sure why the gym closes at 10 PM on Fridays and 6 PM on Saturdays when it should be like Monday through Thursdays as those days they close at 12 AM. It kind of makes it inconvenient for those who can only work out late in the evening on Fridays & Saturday’s.

  • The Mordeo

Gym seems fine and workers are pretty chill. But sadly I have to give the gym 2 stars, takes them about over a month to fix gym equipment, the guys shower smells like sewage, the water from the fountains taste so bad I rather drink from hose. Spa room has been broken as of rn about 2 months. Oh and the floor in some places is defenetly uneven. I'm talking REAL uneven especially where you sit down and do over head press. After my contracts done I'm moving gym

  • Brian

Corporate does their best to avoid angry customers. Managers at their locations do not have any desire to rectify any situation. Managers talk down to customers. Blame any issues on corporate. Managers refuse to cancel month to month memberships. All in all stay away. Go somewhere where you will be treared with respect. Effective immediately the month to month membership is cancelled and Project Fitness is no longer authorized to debit the bank account.

  • Brandon Broussard

This place has way too many gym goers for such a small facility. The gym managers got greedy and now there is barely any equipment available even during hours when the gym should be rather empty. They attempt to remodel but there is only so much you can do with such little space. I give it a 3 because they do have good equipment and they keep the facility clean. I would recommend Fitness Project expand with another facility

  • pamela gardner

If there was another gym I would go there. For one thing I don’t like the type of music played and it is way too loud. I don’t like rap music let alone the videos played. It makes for an unpleasant workout atmosphere. And then I know they can’t help the next item that I get disgusted with, it is the half necked women that attend there, honestly I feel like I am working out in a nightclub. It has changed not for the better.

  • Vicious Virg????o

I am currently a member at Fitness Project and ever since I’ve re signed up to this location it’s been nothing but good vibes from the members going there all the way to the staff. There is an employee there name CJ at the front desk who always makes me and other members of the gym feel very very welcomed like if it was family and is also extremely helpful. Awesome environment to be around. No complaints whatsoever.

I joined up to the gym to grow, make myself better, and stronger. But, this gym has constant broken machines. Staff the micro-manage workouts. When they themselves don’t workout or know what they’re talking about. Sewage was backed up into facility. Overall, just a really watered down crunch. But, this place has become a planet fitness. If you’re joining the gym to be a better you this place isn’t the place to do it

The staff is very friendly and the kids Play is great. My kids look forward to going to play because of the wonderful staff and activities available to them. Now, I really have no excuse not to workout. Great job to all at Project Fitness for making the experience great. A special acknowledgment should go to the ladies in Play who do a great job with my kids. I wouldn’t be able to come workout without your support.

  • Rachel Aranza

I’ve been coming since the gym was golds and I absolutely love this gym, the layout, the amenities and most importantly the employees. The second we walk in we’re greeted with a smile and when we leave, with a goodbye. My 16 month old twins love going to the play and letting all their energy out! Sarah, Katherine,Jasmine and Kristen are amazing with the kids and we couldn’t ask for better people around our babies!

  • Abogado Sal

Small yet very clean gym. Staff is always friendly and the environment feels like family. The play area we have been to in different locations but prefer it here. The ladies have fun and always call my boys by name. It was hard for my wife to trust anyone with our kids but the girls here are so living the boys just gravitate to them.Favorite gym around, New machines were needed and love them.

  • Bailen Collins

If you want to go to a gym to become a better, stronger you. This is not the gym for you. The staff micromanages your workouts and has rules that don't make sense. Equipment stays broken as well as the bathrooms staying flooding. The sauna stays broken and they have hidden charges. Most importantly they are more concerned with selling memberships rather than fitness or personal growth.

  • Henry Blair

Project Fitness is absitively-posolutely the best gym in the world. Nice people, nice equipment, nice classes and above all: wonderful atmosphere. I totally recommend this gym. I encourage everyone to come here and you won’t be disappointed. This is a wonderful gym. I encourage everyone here to show the same care and devotion as to every aspect of their lives. My compliments.

  • George Brookover

Great location. HUGE facility. Adequate equipment for several workout types/styles. Mid-afternoon was NOT crowded 6/24...several upgrade projects underway. 9/26/2022...upgrade of space & equipment still underway December 2022...WOW! Lot's of new machines and weightlifting equipment. Awesome...! The new equipment continues to impress. 3 rowing machines is great!!!

  • Garth Howard

First, Never apologize for making your Mental and Physical health your top priority! Recently, this was the topic of discussion with FP staff members Madison, Faith, and CJ. I was thoroughly impressed that they each see FP as more than just a gym. It's more about building positive and sustainable relationships while being a support system for the community.

  • Janachia Hopkins

Absolutely fell in love with this gym! Upon entry you’re met with warm smiles every time. Sam was the sweet soul that listened to my goals and signed me up for the most beneficial package. Neil is one of the greatest motivators I have ever seen manage a gym! This gym has tons of classes that fits all needs! Highly affordable and I highly recommend!

  • rachel crippen

Great gym, always clean! Love that they have a sauna and clean locker rooms as well (locker rooms are pretty nice!). They have an easy to use app where you can track your progress and enter different challenges, along with access to at home or in gym workouts too! Would definitely recommend this gym. Wish they had a location in Houston too!

  • Kiesha Rose

All brand new everything! Huge thanks to the owner for making this investment in your loyal existing and new members. It will pay off! I was proud to workout at the gym this morning and the staff looked so proud to be a part of a thriving business with beautiful, modern equipment. See you all bright and early every morning. Well done!

  • Fernando Esquivel

Staff doesn't care about safety concerns. Gym layouts are awkward, machines always down n facilities poorly maintained even after remodeling, overpriced and when cancelation is asked for it's made difficult and not a guarantee it will actually get cancelled and keep charging you. Super bad experience worst place I've ever been too.

  • ulrick gutierrez

Honestly best gym to be if you wanna workout alone and also front desk people are amazing wonderful people who really care about the gym community- the one who was helpful was Madison honestly best worker out there!! Getting my membership through Madison was the easiest thing in the world!! Would come and work out here more!

  • brandon peveto

Gym is nice environment! Love the manager Neil really cool dude to get along with. Play are here in Kingwood location is my favorite, not only are the girls friendly but they are moms too and love what they do. Equipment is always clean and working properly. New equipment recently was a plus. The gym you need to be at.

  • Ricardo Mercado Jr

Con gym that uses a hidden contract to sue you if you fail to pay. Very Small gym. Shared broken sauna. Wife and I signed up the same day, they made it look like we came in and signed up a week apart. Bi weekly payments for double the late fees. Go ahead and find another gym beware of this place at all cost …

  • Vince

I recently moved to Kingwood and this gym was one of the first places I stopped by. I became instant friends with the staff. Faith, Caleb, and Madison always greet me with a welcoming hello and goodbye. They had a really fun fall festival, and also get the local community involved. Great place with great people.

  • mnm seglo

Staff is very friendly even at 4am. The cleaning crew is there in the morning. Carrie and crew keep the gym going with positive vibes. I joined back in 4/2012. Its still by far the best buck for your money. All walks of life with people who have their daily routines. FP promotes better living through exercise.

  • Patrick DeFoe

This gym is top shelf. The owners/manager have completely remodeled the gym the past 6 months. A large open area and new equipment across the board have been provided to enhance workouts. The manager is a cool head with a great deal of insight and common sense. The staff are helpful and polite.

  • Briam Herrera

Very crowded and small gym, bags on the floor all over the place, no one takes the plates off machines, staff does not say anything to enforce the rules, people do whatever they want. They always play rap music which is annoying and inappropriate for working out. The manager is so unfriendly.

  • Nick B

Great gym. The staff is amazing and management cares. They just received a bunch of new equipment and the gym itself was update just a little while ago. Any issues, and management is quick to respond. Plus the members are amazing people. Overall a great gym to be a part of. Highly recommend.

  • Darryl Sanders

Samantha Garcia was cheerful, informative and thorough. Explored several membership options then recommended the best fit for me instead of overselling. I highly recommend Project fitness Kingwood because of my positive experience with her and the environment of a well maintained facility.

  • Brittany Franks

I have been at Fitness Project for several years and have never had any issues with their Kids Club. The Kids Club Staff are always smiling and happy to see my kids. They make the environment fun and friendly for my kiddos and they love coming to play at the gym. I highly recommend! …

  • austin avery

Would highly recommend this gym, they have a wide variety of new equipment, and other gymgoers are polite. When I typically go the staff at the front desk Faith, Maddie, and CJ are always welcoming and pleasant. They go out of their way to remember your name and greet you as you enter.

  • Eunice Murungi

It almost 2 years since I started Zumba at Kingwood. I was stiff, heavy and uncoordinated. Latoya made me love zumba. She gave me the confidence I needed to tone my body, dance and introduced me to Latin music among others. Thanks Latoya. Shout out to Ashley, Carmen and Tiffany.

  • Christen Stewart

Love this gym but most of all the PLAY AREA!! Ms. Sara and her team are amazing. They love my child and are genuinely excited to see us when we walk through the door. There’s nothing better for a mom than to know your kids are well taken care of while you work out. Thank you!!!

  • Ayah Ayyad

Great gym with a variety of machines and a welcoming staff! The sauna is fantastic! The facility is kept immaculate at all times and the team at the child care center are super friendly. My children always leave there happy. They have a good time while I get a good workout.

  • Josh Ward

Be advised. Associates will tell you that ABC financial is not handling membership subscriptions like the Golds gym before it. This is not the case. Canceling the membership is an act of congress. If you plan to have it for the rest of your life this is the gym for you.

  • Elizabeth Weller

Great staff! Equipment is in the process of getting updated which this location needs. Regardless of the needed updates, the gym serves its purpose, its jever oveely busy, and the sauna us great! But honestly I'm giving a five rating purely because the staff is awesome!

  • Cory Rhyns

Fitness project has to be the best gym to workout no matter what fitness journey you are on, Samantha got me signed up quick and easy she was very sweet and also knowledgeable I was very impressed on how comfortable she made me feel about signing up…GREAT JOB SAMANTHA!

  • Jackie Zaborowski

This is a great gym and super affordable and clean. They have a lot of equipment, most of which is brand new. Sometimes it can be pretty busy but with so much equipment it's fine. The ladies that work in the daycare are awesome with my kids and they love going there!

  • Jeriah Steele

I love this gym I’ve been coming here for years now and I love the environment and the staff especially Madison at the front desk, she’s made my experience here great and she’s been very helpful. I love the equipment and the people. 10/10 would recommend this gym!

  • OpalSparks Krysal

I thought about getting a membership here to work out while visiting a loved one here, but after the way that rude employee Faith acted, I will just go get a membership somewhere else. I will not pay a dime to any company that keeps an entire bully employed.

  • Dani Moreland

This gym is great and everyone is friendly. Also shout out to the child care center! Manager Sarah is the best and goes above and beyond for us parents who just need to get our workouts in! My kids absolutely love going to the gym to go to the play center!

  • Marcus Vega

I've been coming to this gym for a few years and always feel welcomed by the staff. One of the employees especially, named Jade, always greets me with a warm smile and is very helpful with any questions I may have. Will continue to use this great gym !

  • Jacob Contreras

This gym is one of the best and cleanest out there. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Skar and Jade are the cutest front desk personnel and always help make your gym experience as smooth possible. Would rate 10/5 starts if possible …

I wanted to wait until I got a few workouts in before rating to give a detailed review so here goes: I’ve been looking for the perfect gym since moving to Houston 7 months ago. This gym offers great equipment, clean facilities, a dry sauna,

  • Jaxzel Paredes

DO NOT SIGN UP. I’ve been here for a year. If I could give this gym a zero I would. When I got there the sewer and literal feces we’re coming up from the ground and all over the floor and took forever to fix. The restrooms never work. The

I love this location! I've been going every week day for almost 2.5 years and I'm not sure how I'd live without it. Most of the week I am working out on the floor but have tried a few classes too and there's never been one I didn't like.

  • AP_AmericanPatriot

I was a little apprehensive about joining this gym at first because of the Google rating on the reviews. A buddy wanted to start going here since it was close to their house, and I’ve never had a membership at a gym before. We have it a

  • Matthew

Moved away months ago and they still won't let me cancel. This gym is a waste of money. If I still lived in kingwood I would go to lifetime on west lake Houston Pkwy as it's only $10 more a month and they have a indoor basketball court,

  • Samantha Garcia

LOVE THIS PLACE!! EVERYONE IS ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! From members to staff even the guests who come in w/ the members! Equipment is brand new and awesome! DEFF WILL BE REFERRING PEOPLE TO COME VISIT! Love Fitness Project in KINGWOOD!!!!

I love the gym, and all my people at 5am. We are like a little gym community. I always feel comfortable and the vibe Is positive and friendly. Only complaint the hand dryers in the womans restrooms are across the room from the sink.

  • Faith Lawrence

All around awesome. This has been a gym of mine for years. Equipment is new, the classes are great, and the staff is always super friendly....CJ is always so welcoming and warm. I love coming here for a great workout with family!

Samantha Garcia was very friendly and helpful. I have been really nervous about getting back in the gym she was really kind and helped to answer all the questions I had I would definitely recommend Fitness Project because of her.

  • S M

Things are always broken here. This is insane. Ive used many gyms in the past & have never been to a gym where things are constantly broken. This is a new piece of equipment. One of the 2 new leg press machines. Ridiculous.

  • nancy villarreal

Such a wonderful environment to be in! Everyone is so uplifting and inviting. Especially Cj, he’s always interacting with everyone, making it a comfortable space to be in. Overall, it’s been a great experience at this gym.

  • Dante Hicks

I visit this gym once a week and it’s always clean, never have I had any issues with staff or anything. They did remodel and move some things around so the space is tight now. Happy the sauna is back up and running
