I have had really great experiences with Enterprise in past, this location seems to have some challenges. First, when booking online, through their website I had the opportunity for only $8. to upgrade to the next class of vehicle. So I did the upgrade. I was picking up just before a long weekend. I was given a Kia Soul which did not seem like an upgrade from economy. To no fault of the rental company the Soul has skwiggiley defrost lines in the windshield, that made it very hard at times to see out of. Besides that the Soul was a fun little car to drive. Because I had the car for a week rental I decided after the long weekend to see if the could give me another car, as the defrost lines were an issue for me. They did no problem. Unfortunately, both times at the location I had to wait in very long line ups. I would agree that the location is understaffed as some of the other reviews mention. I also think they are handling other rentals and many drop-offs from other locations. It's a busy location and perhaps have taken too much on? I did appreciate them serving those renting or dropping off with Enterprise ahead of others waiting. Felt super bad for one family who waited a very long time just to pick up a bag they had left in the rental that was in the back. They should have spoken up, they have much more patience than me. So the second vehicle they gave me a VW Jetta, was a nice ride. It was low on washer fluid, change oil light warning was not reset at the last oil change and most bothersome were windshield chips, 3 of them right in the drivers line of sight. This experience is unlike other rentals I've gotten with Enterprise from Midnapore (AB), Comox and Victoria (BC) where all the cars have been impeccable and like new. Before signing on the line for the rental I was also told no dogs, but I have a dog and have never been told this by Enterprise before. Representative I had was new and he asked the manager who said it was okay just so long as there wasn't a lot of hair. Hmmm... Also, because I came unannounced and they offered me the Jetta the representative himself cleaned it out prior to signing it over to me. No offense I don't think he's the best at that, although you gotta give him credit for the effort and for getting me into another car. Honestly, next rental I may just train to Midnapore and rent from there. It's right off the Fish Creek ctrain station and their vehicles are gorgeous. If I give 17 Ave a chance again I hope they can do better. Perhaps set pick-up times to be staggered so that customers aren't stacked? And perhaps get better vehicle choices on lot that are in better condition?

I had driven down in a truck with no mask and had forgotten mine. The business beside the repair shop was good enough to give us one from their stock. I have never been so disappointed in a customer service experience as I was today. Karissa from the word go was one of the most inhospitable people to represent this corporation and was seemingly not happy to be picking anyone up and we had inconvenienced her day, I wrote the review as she sped through downtown weaving in and out of traffic and I completely understand that the mask issue is on me but we figured it out she has ZERO customer service skills and has no concept of how to solve a problem. Rude short curt and abrasive is how I would sum up the experience. When we got ( my son in law ) the mask figured out And we got in the vehicle Karissa indicated that Enterprise has already received 100k in fines for missing masks. Two suggestions Enterprise. 1) Have your shuttles equipped with masks for forgetful clients. 2) Retrain your staff on what it means to be in customer service, and I would strongly recommend providing your CSR shuttle reps take some form of a driving course annually. Conduct appalling driving experience worse. I will update this review during the drop off for that portion of the experience yet to come.

Honestly they have terrible customer service. I had renewed my license so I didn’t have photo ID but I have always been accommodated in other ways from other locations. It was just bad timing I didn’t have my license and unfortunately got into an accident and needed a rental. Told me they’d be with me in a minute waited for over 15 minutes until I had to approach the desk asking if anyone was going to help me. While they sat making calls behind the desk. Branch manager gave an insincere apology and that was that. Called another enterprise location and got a rental booked for pick up within a few hours without an issue after explaining the situation to them. Had a secondary driver on the policy but I would rather be the primary driver. I would prefer to take my business elsewhere anyways after the way I was ignored because “I assumed you were on the phone”. Terrible experience. Update: the wonderful people at the enterprise location in crowfoot gladly accommodated me with getting a rental this afternoon. No photo ID needed just a letter with my address, my temporary license, a credit card and even offered to look at my AHS ID for photo proof (I’m a nurse and don’t have time to waste on situations like this). The fact that this location wouldn’t even consider taking 2 non-photo IDs when the airport would baffles me. The owners need to work on their customer service skills with staff you guys are going to lose business ‍♀️

I can’t say enough about Taran. His professionalism, customer care and helpfulness are second to none! Taran also demonstrated empathy, kindness and a willingness to ensure that I was taken care of - particularly in response to my profoundly devastating and serious medical situation which required me to acquire and renew my rental. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without Taran’s help and willingness to go way above and beyond to ensure I not only could renew/extend my the rental but did so in a way that made this completely stress free during an already high stress situation. I have had the pleasure of renting vehicles previously when Taran was at the Fish Creek location and appreciated his exceptional customer service. I also want to thank JD, the manager, at this location for his part in ensuring I was well looked after. Thank you Enterprise for providing such amazing staff members!!! It’s also because of individuals like these that keep me returning and never even thinking of renting from other companies! I am profoundly grateful for Taran helps well as JD’s. Car rental companies do not have to show compassion, kindness empathy let alone a willingness to way above and beyond but these two gentleman did which is why I was inspired to write this review. They made an exceedingly stressful, difficult and tragic situation less difficult by making this stress free and possible for me to extend my rental seamless!

I can't say enough good things about this particular Enterprise. We lost our rental car keys while on a hike in Glacier National Park. You can imagine our surprise after hiking 5 hours when we went to open our car and the keys were nowhere in sight. We called Enterprise in a panic and their employee, Stephen, helped us over a two hour period. There was no cell service, so one of the hotels by the trailhead let us use their phone and Stephen and I called each other multiple times. Stephen had to arrange for a towing service to come the next day and other arrangements had to be made to get another car and to get into the original car :-( He was so very calm and efficient - he made our lives that much better after doing something so stupid. This would have been an extremely costly mistake (upwards of $1,500) but when I was on the phone with him around the two hour mark, lo and behold - some really good samaritan found the keys at Iceberg Lake and returned them to the ranger station! (Unfortunately he/she didn't leave his/her name for us to reward him/her). After two hours of spending his time on our problem, Stephen was happy that the keys were found (not upset that he wasted so much of his time). Thank you Stephen for being so kind and thank you Enterprise for employing Stephen!

Would love to give this location 0 if only there is an option... Been renting with Enterprise it was this location that I got disappointed. I was on queue 15 mins before my pick up time, was checked in and was told to wait for the other guy to see what they got for me. Then couple customers came in got assisted and drove away with their cars, this place does not have an organized queue system. Followed up with one of the employees because I am already 10 mins past the original pick up time and was told that the car is still being cleaned. Finally they got the keys, walked me to the car, and as soon as I sat in to check mileage and gas, the scent of cigarette smoke is all over the car and agent had the audacity to tell me "no smoking in the car" when the whole time I was struggling smelling that scent. They should atleast used a deodorizer before handing out the car to another customer specially that they made me wait. 2 days past after I returned the car, deposit is not yet returned, the rental amount plus deposit is still on pending on my card. People here are working really slow.

This morning, I waited upwards of an hour and a half for a rental vehicle. I had a reservation. It was an hour and fifteen past my reservation time. Apparently, someone with my same name who came in after me took the vehicle I was meant to get. I guess they don’t confirm customer names when they give the vehicles out. Regardless, the vehicle is pretty disgusting. It is not clean, and as this is an insurance claim, it is not the same “like kind and quality” as my own vehicle. I normally operate a Mini, and they’ve loaned me a Chevrolet Spark. Not really equivalent except in size, but really it’s quite a downgrade. The rental agent told me, “if you don’t like it, just come back this afternoon and I can change it for you”. As I’ve already spent an hour and a half waiting at Enterprise today, I honestly don’t think it’s worth it, but thanks anyway. I’ll be staying far away from this location in future. The only reason I went here to begin with is because it was forced by Enterprise as the body shop isn’t serviced by another location. The whole, beggars can’t be choosers thing.

I regularly rent cars as it is a requirement of my job while I travel bI feel that I am somewhat qualified to review a rental car company on service and quality. My experience with this location of Enterprise was atrocious. First of all, I arrived at their facility and 3 customers were ahead of me waiting to get service and 4 people behind me. We were all waiting to get a car based on our reservation. This isn’t including all the people that are already checked in waiting for their car to be brought to the front. This was first thing in the morning and they are 1 person working the counter. It took 15 min before I got checked in and even longer for the people behind me. After I finally received a car, the interior was disgusting. The seats had mud on it, coffee stains on the console and a half eaten apple on the floor of the backseat. That’s almost as bad as getting a dirty hotel room. Pathetic.

Worst location to rent a car. We had a booking at 2:00 pm from this location on Saturday while when we reached there On the door it says they are closed at 12:00 pm and online it says they closed at 2:00 pm. There was one representative working there when we ask about our reservation which was made a week ago, he rudely reply “I don’t have any car and I am closing in 5 min so I don’t have anything to look at up for you, you can come tomorrow and get the car.” Is this a answer they are giving to the customer. When we need car on the specific day that’s why I made a reservation. If you don’t have any car kindly say “No”. But don’t talk to your customers like that. Please teach some manners to your employee how to deal with the customer. You guys don’t even deserve single star how you guys have 4 stars based on this kind of worst and not acceptable customer service isn’t it funny though.

Extremely disappointing experience. We received the wrong location over email and more over, when we asked for a car be sent for pick up, we were told to wait for a few minutes. We ended up waiting for half an hour and when we called back, they mentioned that the car was sent but they couldn’t see us. No call, no contact while we were there the whole time. We took an uber to reach the right location, at which there was no acknowledgement of this screw up and the person disregarded admitting that any car was requested to be sent. His colleague, guy in black spectacle, black hair- was the person we spoke to as we could make out by his way of talking- he didn’t apologize or even acknowledge the time and money he made us waste. Utterly irresponsible. messing up is alright but not having the courage to admit it, is plain disgusting. Never coming back here again

I live fairly far from this enterprise but I rather rent from them than other locations. Staff there is extremely polite and engaging. I always have good convos and laughs when waiting for the car inspection or to sign the paperwork. Also, I understand that it would be tough for them to pick me up or drop me at home before and after the rental, but they do it all the time! The drivers, like Hassan, always have good energy and are great to chat with. There was one time that they were really busy, I asked for a ride home and they didn't have anyone who could do it. Then Carissa stepped out of her office and asked if she could ride me home. I was very very impressed by the initiative. All the staff there aimed to make me happy. Thanks so much guys.

My truck is in the shop getting repairs due to a accident. My insurance set me up with this location for a rental. They were great picking me up from the shop and getting me in a 2017 Silverado. I was called on Thursday Dec 28 and informed I had to return the vehicle by Dec 31 as per my insurance even though my vehicle wasnt ready and i had not hit my rental limit. (Not enterprises fault just a little annoying) when i returned the vehicle and informed them truck is getting terrible mileage i had to fill up 3 times at $100 per fill (i the same truck justa few years older and $300 would get me atleast 2000km)for under 1000km. They kind of shrugged it off. Ill try and find another rental in the mid term until my truck is finished

I had an amazing experience last time I rented in January. However with new management and staff the profit are all they seem to care about and horrible service. I was dismissed and forgotten about. When I called back I was given no thought or apology and was not even given the option to speak to a manager after the location refused to rent to me as they had a few months before. Rates go up and down that was not an issue. The complete lack of effort in service was astonishing. The new management clearly has no care for customer satisfaction. They have ruined there reputation with myself and my partner. For all that obnoxious "we care about you" on the hold loop and website, the staff here clearly have no care for you at all.

The worst service ever. I strongly recommand to use another branch if you consider this location. The staffs did not mentioned about extra insurance plan which is extra payment and even said your insurance will cover everything. They did not give us chance to read the contract and condition and just breifly mentioned the condition and asked us to sign on the tablet outside in cold weather. After I recognized about the payment they accept their mistake of miscommunicatiom but can just reduce half of the price. And aftet they gave the handout paper to us, the staff said "this is the best i can do" and did her own work. Seems to ignore us. Way Unfair service location future customers. Go another one!

Simply terrible service. If you do need to use Enterprise, go to another location. I was directed as part of an insurance claim. The manager mistakenly charged my card for a horrendous amount of money. I tried to sort it out, but the arrogance was second to none. The insurance company and auto body shop ensured the situation was corrected. I have rented vehicles in Europe, Africa, Australia, Asia, South Pacific and here in North America. Enterprise 17th Ave Calgary was by far the worst place I have ever been. If there is a complication, Enterprise 17th Ave will just use your card to sort out the problem. I have never seen this before. Go somewhere else. There are many options.

My gf and I met Terren, the manager of this location, through mutual friends. When talking about renting a car, she let us know about Enterprise. We usually use Budget as it’s next to our apartment. Terren let us know about the price and pick-up service and we gave them a shot. Not only is the price better, but the single level of insurance (~$24) covers everything and takes the worry out of things. The 3-tier Insuance option at Budget (~$9-26)was nice to keep the price low at times, but you aren’t covered for everything. Service at the location is great too, coffee, washroom before starting your trip, quick and professional walk through before getting on the road.

This dealer did not honour my reservation. I made a reservation 5 days before my expected pickup. The day before the pickup I called the dealer, but they told me that they didn't have a reservation for me, despite the fact that I had a confirmation email. Then they tried blaming the hailstorm that happened weeks before, and accused me of booking through a 3rd party side. I booked through the Enterprise corporate site. I have had good experiences with Enterprise before, so I was extremely surprised at their poor customer service. In the end I used Avis which I was pleased with.

While their customer service/front counter staff are friendly; the provided vehicle was well below expectations in form, function, and quality. My brand new 4Runner is in the body shop and the rental is paid by the insurance company. I was told that I would receive a comparable vehicle, though received a bare-bones VW Tiguan (for perspective, not even power seats). It is upsetting to tolerate this substantial decrease in the quality and function of a vehicle. Point where they're due; they picked me up from the body shop, and the inside of the VW was clean.

There is a fantastic crew working at Enterprise on 17th! I recently had 3 of their vehicles over the span of 2 weeks, while my personal car was being repaired due to someone running into it. The team were very accommodating with my requests, assisted me with my swap in and out of vehicles, so that I could head to the mountains in a truck for the weekend. Every vehicle that it got into was clean, well-maintained and worked flawlessly. This is not an experience that I can say I've had with every rental agency... I highly recommend this Enterprise location.

This Enterprise location has been my favorite of all the agencies in the City - Enterprise and others. All of the staff has been very attentive, great to deal with, super about picking me up and dropping me off and are fair with the pricing. I am an Enterprise Platinum member, so a little biased, but compare these guys with your favorite rental agency and you will be back, like I have. You guys keep up the good work and thanks especially to Sheryar and Mustafa for your bright attitudes and helpfulness. It is so appreciated.

Primarily drawn by the convenience, I started renting from this location when it opened. Still content to rent rather than own, I now book through these guys exclusively. The staff are friendly, courteous, and efficient. The prices are very affordable (and often unbelievable) and Enterprise's walk-around inspection is respectfully tolerant and reasonable. Sure, be patient--there can be hiccups. There always is in this industry particularly when booking is so flexible. I'm exceedingly pleased with these guys.

Rented a car with them and everything was great until I deposited the check with a refund they gave me from deposit difference and the check bounced back. I’ve called to resolve the issue, staff said he would talk with accounting and get back to me... being over a week and haven’t heard back from anyone. I might be wrong but I don’t feel such a serious issue should require more than one call from me. I would imagine a business that prioritize customer would have a sense of urgency to solve this issue.

I already rented cars in different places in the world (Brazil, USA, Canada, Spain, Germany) and I must say the quality of service [both customer service and the cars itself] you gonna find here is unique. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They pay attention to your needs and wishes, and try to find the better options that fits in your case. The cars are always new, clean and well maintained. You won't find the same level of satisfaction in another place. Definitely recommend it!

Jitesh is an excellent ambassador of the values that Enterprise represents. Due to a shortage of cars with no fault to Jitesh, he expertly navigated my partner and I, from ruining our trip through the Rockies. Jitesh went out of his way to ensure our trip's disruptions were minimized. He managed to wrangle us a car out of the blue. Got a parking ticket while renting and Enterprise just paid the ticket before I could appeal. Additionally, they charged me an $18 Admin fee for "paying the ticket". What an unethical way to make money. Not renting from these money grabbers again. Edit: In the below message, they ask me to contact them only to tell me that they're not the department to receive my complain, instead I should contact the same department that mishandled my case in the first place. These company is a joke.

I am really impressed with the service at this location! I had to get a rental due to the hail damage so I knew that options were limited with the rentals. They didn't have the vehicle I was expecting so the manager went above and beyond to get me a vehicle that better suited my preference. Even while they were short staffed they did not use that as an excuse to deliver customer care. The staff who completed the courtesy pick up for me were so friendly and a pleasure to meet as well!

Although the location was super busy, the team was friendly and professional. I got a reminder call the evening before about the reservation. There was a limited number of cars available due to the long weekend so they downgraded the type of car but I was offered a fair discount for that inconvenience. I was overall impressed with the customer service, and will definitely seek out this location again next time I need to rent a car in Calgary. Thank you for the amazing experience!

I have rented from Enterprise before but Karlee Racine was exceptional this time around. I was dealing with a tricky situation and she remained calm, friendly, and professional. This woman understands "customer service" and she was extremely knowledgeable about their policies. I would highly recommend all my friends who need to rent a car toward Enterprise from now on. You have no idea how helpful you were Karlee; you went above and beyond for us.

I'm not sure how much the guy at the reception is been paid, but he should have a raise because he really was the best. A one-man-army guy. He managed all alone the rush hour like a boss. Incoming cars, outgoing cars, complaints, calls, special request, and had a special and efficent treatement for every customers, all of this keeping his big smile. Had to wait a while for my car, but this employee really managed everything like a pro.

We were having really tough time getting the cars that we booked well in advance. I would say no fault of the staff though as they had literally no cars available on the day coz of busy tourist season. But Mohammad Ayaz did exceptionally well and did everything to accommodate us by fulfilling our expectations. We ended up getting 3 cars we needed. Keep up the good work Mohammad. Shout out to Enterprise for sending us all over the city of Calgary because you can’t hold a reservation. Went to three locations before they found our booking (THEY kept changing the location) and spent over $100 in Uber just to get the car. Also, thanks to the asshat behind the counter with a smug smile whose response to THEIR mistake was “there’s no cars”. That’s not a solution or customer service. Nope, never again.

Had a great experience dealing with the staff at this location. After dealing with the Enterprise at Fish Creek I thought I was in for a poor experience. The staff here were very quick in getting me into a 7 seater before my trip to Kelowna and gave me the exact car and service I expected. Car was very clean and had all the bells and whistles for a nice road trip. Definitely will be back if I ever need a rental again!

I rent car. from different locations and different car rentals. I rent car for two days from this location. Very friendly very professional customer service. The person who rent me a car she was female I don't remember the name but her customer service was great. I was very happy with the service the person drop me home. I definitely recommend to rent car from this location.Great people .

Stephen and the rest of the staff at this Enterprise are fantastic. It was our first time in Alberta and British Colombia and they made sure we had the right vehicle for our journey to the mountains. Other agencies weren't as upfront about it. Enterprise picked us up at our airport hotel, which saved us the cost of getting a bus or cab into town. All around, a great customer experience.

Customer service from each staff member deserves 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As well , the fleet is new, clean, well maintained. I would highly recommend contacting them if you are in need of renting a vehicle.

We rented a car for a weekend to travel to Lake Louise, and decided to go with Enterprise on 17th Ave. From the moment we arrived, Becky and Terren were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. Becky even gave us a free upgrade to an SUV to help us navigate the snowy roads. The service was excellent, and we'll definitely be renting from here again the next time we are in Calgary. 5*

We rented a SUV from this company for a week. The customer service was fantastic. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It was great value for money. We were not forced to pay the company's insurance. The vehicle was good. This is the best experience I have had with a rental car company. I've had some mixed experience where I should have rated 6 stars in some cases and, 2.5 stars in others. Overall a handy location, but could use more computers for National Emerald Club executive members. Maybe it's Enterprise and national that need to figure out how to handle shared locations better. No complaints on the people that work there.

They are different from other Enterprise locations. Best service ever, manager gave me her business card just in case of any issues during my travel. One of my best rental car experiences! I reserved a car for 11am and got there unexpectedly at 8:30am. The agent, who said he was originally from Nigeria, somehow got us our premium car almost immediately, by working with another location. And we really appreciated it because we wanted to get on the road to Banff and, because of him, we did.

Not only did they not have the vehicle we reserved over a month ahead of time.. there was a stone chip on the windshield and when we turned the heat on it cracked horizontally across the windshield. They charged us 300$ extra to repair the windshield that was previously damaged!! I would only rent something here if you want to be ripped off.

THE WORST customer service. We made a reservation today but when we reached at the location on time they said we are closing in 5 mins and I don’t have any car to give you!! Seriously?? Great place to rent a vehicle. Great staff. They go out of their way to answer any questions. If you have an issue, just let them know and they will fix it asap. I called around last minute looking for a rental, this location had the vehicle I wanted and in a really quick time frame. When I arrived at the Enterprise lot the attendant was waiting for me. I think I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. The overall service was great and the truck I rented was very clean and ready to drive.

June 2021 Since there are lots of other enterprise locations - Don't choose this one (17 Ave)! The first indication was when the manager said my husband would need to come in with his drivers licence. Older car, higher price, overcharged, zero communication... In the hundreds of car rentals i've had, this ranks as the worst.

This rental location sucks! Store manager sucks! He tried to teach me when I complained about their customer service. He told me that my complain regarding their customer service means no respect to him. He was also very condescending when he was talking to me. If I am the business owner at this location, I would fire him.

Do not rent car if you do not want to wait couple hours for a car. We booked a car, came to the place and were waiting more more than an hour. Then gave up and cancelled that reservation. People that were waiting told us they were waiting for a car 2 hrs. The rental costa are not that bad but that place do not have cars

Wonderful experience. The lady that manages this location was kind enough to drive me to my truck so I didn't have to wait, and every person I dealt with for the 3.5 weeks I had the Jeep was nothing short of fantastic. Honestly one of the worst experiences I've had when renting a car. The front desk associates were very rude. They literally gave me the wrong address to pick up the car. Upon returning the car they tried to over charge me, I ended up having to sit in the parking lot and call customer service to get my issue resolved.

Since they didn’t have it in stock when we picked up our rental, she made sure to help us when one came in, she also made it very easy to change vehicles. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Best place to rent a car in Calgary, no comparison. The staff and service you get is honestly the best I've ever had, and I rent very often for work in different cities. And it doesn't hurt that I usually also end up getting a better deal with enterprise vs the rest. Definitely recommend it to everybody I know.

Don't trust these guys. I did an online reservation, came there, make me wait for 10min, just to tell me that they didn't have any car on the class I reserved (why was the reservation for, then?) and that we can get no car because we arrived 5min late. They were VERY rude and I don't plan on come back again.

Nice Toyota rental car. They run out of cars to rent so very over-priced. No pick up or drop offs. I had to take a cab to and from this location $$$...not convenient unless you're staying downtown Calgary. Staff was adequate.
