Not a great experience. We were looking for a dessert place still open at midnight this past Saturday night, within walking distance from the Bell Centre, after a concert. We should have just taken an Uber to a nicer place instead. The place is a joint desserts and taco place?! Weird. The whole place smelled strongly of Pinesol floor detergent. Very overwhelming. An area at the back had construction items that could have been covered up better (see photo). The smell of tacos and nachos from the other tables was a bit much. Seatings for about 20 ppl inside. Food: we ordered eclairs (chocolate and praline) and brownie. All were edible. Eclairs were frozen then thawed it seems. Pricing was at par (about $4-5). I ordered a latte and they forgot all about it until I had to remind them. Came in a disposable cup vs a real mug. Disappointing since it was clear that we were eating in. Pls have the servers with longer hair to wear a hairnet. Definitely won’t be back. Sorry.

I arrived at the store during their online posted opening hours. The store was closed. There were two people inside who didn’t respond to my gentle knocking and simply continued making coffee and moving cakes.I don’t think I look particularly scary. I went back a half hour later to try to get a cake for my daughter’s birthday. Again, the door was locked and no one responded. I tried calling into the store to find out what time they actually opened ( I did not want to leave if they were opening in five minutes, and there are no posted hours on the door ). Again, no one responded. Our workplace uses this bakery relatively often and I have found the quality variable. Variable quality plus poor customer service equals not a place I will be eager to return to. Bottom line: do not trust the opening hours that are posted and be careful if you are going out of your way.

I literally called beforehand to ask if they had a chocolate flavoured birthday cake since its a long drive. They said yes. I arrived and asked multiple times in store if they’re sure its chocolate. They say yes. At the party later turns out its vanilla. Completely vanilla. So i call the next day, the cashier rude and sarcastic, mocks and pretends not to hear then hangs up. Like just say you dont have chocolate instead its really that simple. Especially if ive asked so many times if its chocolate! WORST experience ever !!!! I dont understand why would you sell the cake saying its chocolate if its vanilla. Chocolate and vanilla are 2 completely different flavours. Then proceed to charge so much and ignore the fact they made the mistake or even reply to the email.

I felt very embarrassed when my friend was cutting the cake, it was VERY HARD LIKE A PIECE OF HARD METAL that it was not able to cut with the knife, I know it was very busy day for them as it was a Christmas Eve. But it is not appropriate to make a cake with poor quality, when I enquired about the cake, the staff said that the cake was not had enough sugar syrup. I WAS VERY FRUSTRATED bacause they already knew about it, still did not recommended to choose the other though they charged me more than what it used to be on regular days. I would strongly recommend NOT TO BUY HERE!! It is not worth giving a 1star review..!! I REGRET GOING HERE instead I would have not bought it. I HOPE THE MANAGEMENT WOULD READ THIS AND IMPROVE THEIR QUALITY

I had an awful experience when I went to buy a red velvet cake last week. It was for a friend’s birthday and when he tried to cut the cake with a steel knife too, it felt like a piece of rock and was too embarrassing for me. When I enquired the next day, the person at the store said that the cake was set at a different temperature and the ones at normal temperature were out of stock. But I was not informed about this when I looking to buy the cake. She even said that the other employees may not be aware of this fact and hence sold a frozen cake to me. The worst of all is that the cake did not melt even when we kept it outside for an hour and microwaved it for a minute. I was really disappointed!

Weird place but pretty good desserts. The food was better than expected: light cakes, taste good, good portion, not expensive. The service was good overall. I asked for a tea latte which is not on their menu and they made one anyway, which is highly appreciated. Now the bad: the mug wasn’t fully clean, some residues from the dishwasher were not manually cleaned. The atmosphere is somewhat weird, I did not want to stay any longer than eating my cake. I would probably go back if there is nothing else I wanna get, but Juliette & Chocolat being close to them, I’d rather go there first ;)

Today I finally had my sit down at cafe desserts mtc and I will say that since I've been in Montreal this cheesecake and desert place has been my home the deserts are made just right not to sweet at all and made just right. And the bonus is the tacos so you can have a full meal and some fresh home made baked goods. And the staff are amazing they are interactive always busy but polite and well mannered and most importantly there customer service is great even if they are new employees they seem to handle the flow of traffic well good job to the management and good job to the workers

Where do I begin? From my 18th birthday, to my sisters wedding cake, to now my sisters baby shower cake. We have never been let down by desserts etc. The time, dedication and precision she puts into these cakes is astonishing. When I first sent her the image of the baby shower cake she wasn’t sure if she could do it. But I knew if anyone can pull it off it would be her. Guess what? She came through. I’m still in awe of her work. Besides the her art skills her baking skills are as top notch, because the cake was devoured within minutes. My forever go to cake and dessert shop.

Made an order on uber at 1am for some cupcakes and cake for my girlfriends birthday to suprise her as she got off late and have a long day at work. I a put a message on the order hoping for some little details. The staff went above and beyond. The order came in a gift bag and they had her name written on the cake in icing wishing her a happy birthday. There were also decorations and candles on the cupcakes. Everthing was delicious and helped make an amazing suprise. Thank you so much it was delicious. To the staff that night I really appreciate it

Best service ever!! I had ordered custom made Sherlock Holmes cupcakes for my boyfriend's birthday in February with another bakery and due to covid they cancelled on me. Café Desserts Etc came through for me after I spoke to them two weeks ago. They made me the most beautiful custom made cupcakes in vanilla and candied bacon flavour with fondant toppers. Delivered them to me while maintaining distances. I'm so touched by their amazing service and for making his birthday fabulous during confinement . Will continue to order from them for sure!

Tried a lot of things here, and most of them definitely made me happy. I am a fan of red velvet, and they have a really knew good one. They have lots of options like macaroons, sundaes, Cheesecakes, cake bars, cupcakes both large and mini, cannoli and soo much more to offer. They make custom cakes as well. They have beverages and breads like croissant and biscuits. Usually, it's my morning ritual to pick up some yummy croissants on the way with some mocha. The service is pretty decent and has a good spacing if you want to enjoy your treat.

I ordered cake for my fiancé through Uber eats from Toronto. They did really good job everything is so perfect.I put details in notes for order and they followed it exactly whenever I came to Montreal I will definitely come to try other things cupcakes presentation was so pretty . Well there should be option to give negative stars to the girl (short hair) working at front. Bro its not just you working at front desk lot of people in universe are working at same place (even at more better position than you) you should have manners how to talk a customer… really disappointed with girl attitude.. i visited 2 times both times the girl show attitude like she is queen there… will never recommend any one to visit because of that girl… she should learn to respect customers… even though other male staff is good..

Good food but the decor might put you off. Came for dessert here mid-evening based solely on the Google reviews. The desserts were tasty -- which I guess is the main thing. We were served by what seemed to be a rookie server. She was a little scattered but she was friendly and clearly trying to go a good job. The restaurant decor is a little dated and somewhat crowded, given that it is trying to be a Mexican/pastry joint. Still, if you are looking to satisfy a sweet tooth, then this is one of the better spots downtown.

Jack of all trades dessert place. Want a cake at 11am? 3pm? 2am? Just order a cake from Uber Eats and bam it’s at your doorstep in 30 minutes. Their red velvet cake is great, honestly the first time I ordered from them they sent me a red velvet instead of Oreo. I was sad and annoyed until I took a bite. It was for my girlfriends birthday, and we actually ate the entire cake in 30 minutes and ordered another one. Been ordering ever since. I needed a cake in Montreal even tho i was still Vancouver a custom cake within one day. Desserts ETC offers a wide range of desserts and savory sandwiches, from cakes ,muffins and tarts to sorbets, cake pops and macarons . Prices to quality ratio is over the top .The prices are very affordable , the quality and sizes are very respectables , and one of the most important details is that Desserts ETC opens from 9 am till 2.30 am everyday . Must try sweets : brownies , lemon squares , macarons ( specially mango and pistachio ) and not forgetting the coconut macaroons for the coconut lovers.

Worst worst customer service. The cashier girl that gave us the desert we ordered was totally poor in serving the customers what they want. I ordered strawberry cheesecake, but she gave us chocolate which we found only after we returned home. She was very rude in dealing with us at the store as well. This is really a very bad example of customer service even after waiting for someone to attend us after entering the store, she was with her phone at a table without attending us. Will never visit again.

Worst place to order from. 2+ hours late with few pastries I ordered, I called the store and the guy on the phone was super rude and sarcastic, didn’t care to tell me why so late with delivery, then another guy comes on the phone and tells me my delivery is on the way and should get it in 10mins, yet as per Uber Eats my order is not out, literally took them 2 hours to send 5 pastries and I legit live 7mins away from them. 0 Customer service and they lie to your face.

Best place to order any kind of cakes. They have a lot of varieties. You can choose any one you like. Best thing i love about this place is that they are open even after midnight also. Recently, i have to order a birthday cake for my friend in the COVID-19 situation. And it was already 7:00 pm. Every store was closed. The bakery seriously needs to review their opening hours. Not sure how they expect to run a business that serves coffee and breakfast yet are not even open or prepared until 10 am when their opening hours state 9 or 9:30... Myself and many others who work in the area would gladly spend our money here but half the time we walk in they aren't ready. I have simply stopped going because it's a waste of time to see if they will happen to be open or ready to serve.

try the slice of the cake, it's almost $5, but it taste really bad, the cake itself I don't know why it's watery, it's a little bit wet, like the cake holder is wet while they put the cake on it. So the bottom of the cake is watery. The cream is sweet, taste cheap. I will not try anymore cake from them. But the service lady there is really nice. I hope they will improve their quality. I bought a cake for someone's birthday and was sold an old dry cake that looked fine but was hard around the sides. The cake was put in a box at the store so I was unaware of the issue. I and everyone else got the big surprise that I bought old dry garbage. This place is disgusting and has no shame. NEVER buying anything from here again! My friend and I passed by this place this morning on our hunt to find freshly baked goods to bring to a friend, boy are we glad we did! The service was great and everything seemed really freshly baked. They have a wide assortment of cakes, small and big cupcakes, cake pops and other desserts. We were pleasantly surprised with all the options and choices, as well as the super fair prices! We'll be back :)

I asked for a custom cake and they perfectly designed it to what I wanted. I also travelled with the cake and nothing melted. Every decoration stayed in place as it was even though it was a long drive home. Their red velvet cake is delicious!! My friends loved it too. I would recommend this place to everyone. Hi. I don’t recommend at all this place. On 03.07.21, saturday I bought some cakes and when I got home and unpacked them I found out that everything was expired and the smell was like mold. The strawberris from inside the box were rotten as you can see in this photos that means the cake were not fresh. Garbage bin was the perfect place for them. I will not buy ever from this place.

Best cake ordering experience I ever had. The owners are so accommodating, they were super busy but still accommodated my last minute cake request. I've gotten custom cakes made twice now; once for my own business's 30th anniversary, and once for a Gilmore Girls party where I had specialty Logan/Jess cupcakes...both were amazing. I think both were almond-flavoured; the cupcakes had buttercream frosting and the Le Taj anniversary cake was done with a marzipan outer layer. I 100% recommend this place for desserts.

Ordered birthday cake for my son via Uber eats. Called prior placing an order to make sure they can put down ‘happy BD’ note on the cake. I was assured this is not a problem. Once order arrived the note was WRITTEN ON THE BOX. The cake just had a regular decor. We were so shocked and couldn’t stop laughing. Seriously!!! Happy Birthday on the BOX!!!!! Way to go!!!!

It was a fabulous, moist, tasty and beautiful red velvet cake! I also bought small cupcakes and cake pops. All of them were wonderful and saved the day! THE BEST!! I ordered a birthday package for my friend in Montreal. The packaging was just perfect. Their service was way too good. They were extremely responsive and Mr.Inpan went out of his way to deliver the package to my friend I am extremely happy with the order. My friend loved the desserts. Dessert was pretty food. I took a fruit pie and I can't complain. The cupcakes were good and fluffy even at the end of the day. The price didn't shock me, so I would say it's definitely a good place to get dessert, especially for a midnight snack! I wouldn't recommend the ice cream cup as it's not pretty fresh and ia difficult to eat.

There's a lot of choice of restaurants for desserts in the neighborhood, but I always end up eating a tasty cheesecake at Desserts ETC. They also do birthday cakes. From my experience, they were ready on time, and really good.

I have requested the custom birthday cake creation for my roommate recently and I couldn't have been more satisfied with the results. I got a red velvet cake for my brother's 30th birthday and the cake was moist and fluffy! I showed them a picture of a piano cake and they replicated it beautifully. It looked better than the original version. I definitely recommend this place the pastry chef is kind and fair with her prices.

Honestly the lady is nice and all but dont trust her with you custom cakes... she will mess it up. I asked for a specific message and she literally only wrote half of it... it was for a very special occasion too so yeah... cake had a good taste atleast but it messed up the whole party vibe

The prices for the cakes are on the below average around the area, the cheesecake was good. I guess that's why the decor is sub par. If you want to come with a date, its not gonna look nice. As someone else mentioned, they serve actual food as well. The place is not very clean.

couldn't decide whether to put 3 or 2 stars, I called the business on the phone to ask if the cupcakes were made out of buttercream. The woman on the phone replied yes and that they were all buttercream. Definitely not a rich real buttercream icing which was unfortunate.

Desserts were good but there was limited choice and the service was not good. We were made to feel as though we were wasting the server’s time. The place was not clean. Tables were dirty and we had to clean these ourselves. I would not recommend it to any of my friends.

I like the deserts for the most part, pretty hit or miss for me. My favorite is the confetti cake. But I really, really don't recommend ordering coffee from here. It's easily the worse coffee I've ever had. The latte was awful and even smelled awful yuk.

The decor was very off putting given that this dessert place is shared with a taco restaurant. You find yourself enjoying cake with the people beside you munching on a burrito. The desserts were on the good side and the customer service is good.

I got those desserts from them via uber eats. They are very tasty and value for money with the quality compared to some other resto which are so expensive Cupcakes were soft and moist. Only the nanaimo cream to much butter with strong taste.

First time eating cake here. Ordered an Oreo cake. The Oreos are no longer crunchy. The cake base was moist and yummy but the cream taste very fatty and thick, taste like they used imitation whipping cream. Overall it tastes about average.

Kitcat Cheese Cake is the reason for high review it was not bad! Very cheesy but moist and fluffy inside. Oreo cake pop was basically flavourless and stuck really hard on to the paper holding it. The smoothie doesn't taste that great.

I bought a burrito but it was dry even though I asked for extra sauce, the guy doesn't even have the tomato sace for tacos, it was all lettuce and meat. He also refused to heat it up after so it was disgustingly flavorless and cold.

The 4 stars is for the food. I tried the Tres Leches and it was delicious. The place needs some renovations, cleaning and lighting changes though. It's a bit confusing when you walk in.

Tried the raspberry flavoured cream puff pastry today as well as the coffee cake, both were an absolute delight! Will definitely be coming back and bringing some friends next time.

I buy cakes from here 2 times in a year. Cake taste is very good. Customer service is good. One suggestion: can you redesign your cakes. As from 1 year I saw same design cakes.

This place have serious hygiene problems. They run late night cafe but i pass the coffee after saw the machine. Just 2 stars for the younger cashier who packed my food nicely.

When we don't wish to order Choc cake, we always go for Red Velvet Cake. It's always the best. In addition to that we ordered mango, Lemon, choc muffins which are good too.

Ordered the red velvet cake via doordash. Disappointed by the taste and texture, it tasted old and dry. Looks like it have been outside for way too long. quality is meh

Food was fairly priced with so-so quality, and the ambiance wasn't great. Cake was dry, chou was good, and they lowkey just popped my cinnamon roll in the microwave.

We came for desserts after food, desserts were good, must try are the cake-pops. The staff managed us smooth like butter in the rush time. I will come back for sure.

Their cannoli is a joke. Other stuff like fruit tarte has old, not fresh fruits without any taste but water. Chocolate eclair not edible. Disappointed

I have ordered gift packing item on Uber ears in which they say a candle,ribbon and brown craft bag included but I didn’t get anything .

Nice cosy place to have a dessert and treats, they also have simple yet delicious Mexican food for a great price and friendly service.
