I'm so grateful to have found this clinic. After calling dozens of vets around the island, none of whom were accepting new patients, we found Clinique vétérinaire Liesse who was able to see our older cat within a few days. First of all, the office staff are AMAZING. They return calls so quickly, they're incredibly kind, clear, professional, and helpful. I sent an email one time and they replied in TWO MINUTES. I've never seen any type of office (vet, dentist, doctor) with that level of service. When we brought our cat in, Dr. Raffoul and the nurse were so good with him. Dr. Raffoul clearly explained everything she was doing every step of the way, and when there were options she explained the pros and cons of each choice (including the costs) so we could make an educated decision. When the test results came back, she personally called us right away to discuss what it meant and what we needed to do. She delivered the difficult news of a cancer diagnosis with compassion and clarity, and again laid out our options to allow us to make the decision that was right for us and our cat, and was able to schedule his surgery for just a few days from now. We'll definitely continue to bring both our cats to this clinic, as well as any future pets we may have. We have full confidence in the team here and would recommend them to any other pet owners without hesitation.

I brought my princess Cirilla to get fixed here (kitten 10months) After the consultation it was time to get Cirilla fixed After her surgery I noticed her limping for 3 days post op and she was sleeping all day I ended up calling them back on the fifth day because she hasnt recovered I brought her in and was told she had an infection and was recommended to keep her over night to see how she was Woke up the next day waiting for a phone call. Had to call them back myself though. They told me it was time to pick her up so I did They told me they would call me in two days to see how she was doing. They did not So I ended up bringing her to another vet. Turns out she had a sprain on her back paw The owner is a sweet heart but her staff needs an overhaul I was charged $120 for her to stay the night The receptionists sucks too. When I was worried about her I was on hold for 20 minutes to only be hung up on. All in all I'm very great full the owner is doing her best to be on top of things It can be hard dealing with the circumstances Even before covid vetenarians are short staffed I do recommend this vet. Its not often you get the owner trying their best to keep everyone happy. She did truly do her best.

We live in Kuujjuaq and our first experience with the clinic was through sending our dog down by himself to get much needed dental work and a complete exam done last year. Their staff picked him up from the airport, took care of him over several days, and returned him back to the airport so he could come home safely. Everyone I communicated with, from reception to vet assistant to the vet was very helpful and caring. Last week was our first time going to the clinic in person, and again I have nothing but positive things to say. They obtained consent in advance for work to be performed with our pet and what to do if an emergency situation arises, the vet called us personally after examining him to report what she's found, made recommendations, called again once his surgery was finished, and provided thorough instructions for aftercare. I also respect the COVID protocols they have put in place (e.g call when you arrive to ensure the lobby is clear to bring your pet in, or a staff member will come outside to collect your pet). Dr Langill and his staff are exceptional. I have taken my dog to his clinic several times over the last year. On several occasions , for minor things (like irritated eyes or little warts) he has sent me away with the diagnosis of "It's nothing and will go away" and it always did. He could have written prescriptions or run expensive tests on every single occasion and charged us for it if he wanted to but didn't. For more serious issues, he takes as much time as needed to properly diagnose the problem. I also had to put our family cat to sleep at this clinic and received a sympathy card from them a week later, which I thought really went above and beyond. He is extremely competent, knowledgeable, friendly and above all, honest and trustworthy. I was overcharged by several other veterinarians in the Laval and Montreal area over the years before finding this clinic. I feel blessed to have found this clinic upon a referral from a friend and hope that we are able to have him as our veterinarian for many years to come. A very rare find!

A friend of mine suggested I call Dr Langill's office for an appointment to get a second opinion on my mother in law's dog. Well, we were not disappointed! When I made the appointment on her behalf, the receptionist seemed very attentive and concerned with the dog's health which I found very nice. A couple of days later, the vet quoted my mother in law 500$ (which was about 2500$ less than her original quote) for the dog's surgery. The dog also got his teeth cleaned and an overnight stay as well! Also, they found an underlying allergy issue that had been missed. I really felt that they did what was necessary to make sure the dog was healthy, comfortable but did not add needless interventions or tests to extend the costs unnecessarily. The dog's procedure went really well. The dog looks great now, seems really happy and my mother in law is very pleased. Thank you for not gouging my mother-in-law! Side note: I am surprised the reviews here are so bad. Funny enough, the place the was overcharging has 5 stars!

The new set up of them taking the animal in alone is not ideal. The technician told me how sensitive and scared and fearful my dog was alone, while the visit was happening.. So obviously, I was concerned. Then there is a laundry list of non essential tests that I do not feel comfortable approving because in my 25 years of having dogs, these tests weren't the norm. And then they make you feel like horrible people for not approving tests you are unsure of. It's just not the same caring or quality of service since the change of veterinarians. I was literally in tears giving my credit card number to the receptionist. I'm disappointed because I've been going to this clinic for 7 years and now I will be looking for another clinic. This has always been my go to vet clinic to refer but I will go to the Pierrefonds Animal hospital instead. I don't go there regularly but the experiences I have had there were not traumatic.

I'm always so grateful for this fantastic team's medical care and advice. The negative reviews don't reflect a single one of my experiences I've had here. You can tell as soon as you hand off your pet that they are in good, caring hands. They've welcomed my dog and bunny with open arms and just overall excitement for every other animal I see coming in for a checkup. I never feel rushed, judged or dismissed. They listen to your concerns and genuinely want what's best for your pet (plus, they are more than reasonable with vet fees). I don't usually write reviews but after reading the unreasonable comments some other people left, I knew I had to share my experiences and hopefully increase credibility for other potential clients. I trust this clinic with my pets lives and I've never been disappointed with Vet Liesse's service. I highly recommend going here!

From the moment I called crying and desperately looking for help to stop my dog Fozzy’s suffering, the receptionist Maria, the technician and the vet Dr. Gomes, were compassionate and wonderful. They treated my boy with so much respect and tenderness, and confirmed with compassion that I was making the right decision for him. During the procedure they made sure he didn’t suffer, even lowered the lights and layed him on a soft blanket on the floor in which I could lay beside him until his last breath. I didn’t feel rushed, I was even given the option to keep him there until I had enough funds to cremate him. Even if I was devastated, I left there feeling understood and cared for. I noticed that other patients were happy to bring their pets there too. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vet clinic. Thank you all for your big hearts!

Dr. Langill is a wonderful "no nonsense" vet who will not charge you an arm and a leg for tests or x-rays your animal does not need. I used to have a wonderful vet like him before in Ville St-Laurent but when he sold his business when he retired, his replacement kept charging me for tests I had never approved. Then arguing that my cat needed it so I really had no choice in the matter. I was so happy when I discovered Clinique Vétérinaire Liesse! Dr. Langill and his staff are ethical, compassionate, will give you their advice and then let you decide what the best care will be for your animal without judging you. Plus their prices are really reasonable. The only snag is that this veterinarian is so popular, you might have to wait over 30 min passed your scheduled appointment. But it's worth it!

This is the BEST vet in Montreal! Dr. Langill is old-school, and the clinic is shabby and a bit run-down (not to mention located in the middle of nowhere), but my 14 year old cat got terrific care here. I was astounded that my final bill was not out of this world. My cat stayed here for a solid week because she was so sick. My jaw dropped when the vet said he stopped billing at a certain point. Anywhere else the bill would have kept accumulating and accumulating. But he's obviously not in it for the money. He actually cares about your pet. It was at this point that I knew that this place was a rare gem. Do yourself (and your pets) a favour and make the trek out here. You will not find this kind of vet anywhere else. Great vet, great staff. WONDERFUL SERVICE. I cannot thank them all enough.

My family members have been taking pets to this clinic since the 1980s. It’s a 45 minute drive for me now but the caring staff, great service and especially the fair and reasonable pricing keep us coming back. It’s an odd location, yes - the West Island grew and changed around it since 1950. But it can’t be beat. I really appreciate that the new owners have managed to retain what made this place so warm, special and affordable. The fact that Dr Langill’s name plate is still on one of the doors shows that the wonderful women who bought it completely get the history of true, pure, heartfelt care and service that he and his father provided and I’m happy to say they are cut from the same cloth - that’s what makes this clinic one of a kind.

I rarely write reviews but today I was getting some medications for my dog from the clinic. I was outside in the parking and I got a phone call, apparently I stayed too long over the phone, in the parking. One of the staff came knocking aggressively on the window and she was quite rude telling me that I should not be staying that long in the parking, even though the parking was almost empty. The phone call was a business meeting and it was quite embarrassing that my client heard the whole conversation since the call was on the car speakers. If this what your staff do if a client of yours stays too long in the parking, I wonder what would they do if my dog stays overnight and barks a bit too much. I won't be going back.

I have received excellent care for my cat for the last few years. She developed kidney disease and they helped me manage it for a few years. Unfortunately this June she was about 15 years old and her time had come to stop her living on special diet and pain pills, arthritis etc. So with the care of staff and the vet that gently, helped her out of her pain. They were very compassionate, respectful, and patient and I am grateful for their care managing her disease and old age. I was never pushed to do expensive tests and was always informed and consulted every step. I was touched when the vet asked me if I wanted some of her fur to bring home and to take as long as I needed with her.

I had a visit here because of an urgent situation. The visit overall was fine, but I may not choose here again because I feel the vet didn't really care about my cat. I did't want to leave my cat there overnight as the vet suggested, then she did not want to give any other suggestion at all on how to help my baby a little bit at home...just by telling me that she may die. Also, for the same treatment the price was much higher than my usual clinic. In comparison, the clinic I used to go was always offering a lot of advices even though some of them are not related to the purpose of the visit, they always call back to get follow up but the prices are really lower somehow.

Years ago, a friend recommended we bring our 2 dogs here, and we were won over by the warm and honest approach of the former owner, Dr. Bob Langille. Then came the transition to the new owners, with whom we have received the same high quality care and immense kindness. I am writing to thank them for yesterday, when we put our sweet boy to sleep. Thank you for carrying out the procedure OUTSIDE, so that we could all be with our dog. It would have broken our hearts to choose which one of us could go in and which had to stay out (because of COVID rules). Your clinic is the only one I would ever recommend. All the best to you. At this clinic, the staff made a mistake and gave my cat the wrong vaccine, about which we’ve never asked. They’ve been keeping my cat hostage for an hour until I agreed to pay EXTRA money for the wrong vaccine she DIDN’T need. Disgusting customer service and incompetent work. A stressful situation was created for me and my pet by the clinic workers themselves. The right name of the vaccine has been shown to staff several times, but they made no effort to look carefully at the text and understand what we really needed. The question was only about 20$! However, the clinic staff refused to admit their fault. I had to pay $20 to save my cat.

Their kindness, expertise and attention to detail is why our first experience at this clinic was extraordinary. Dean, my Shih tzu, had a +-2 lb lipoma on his underbelly that needed immediate removal after growing out of control during the early Covid-19 restrictions and lockdowns. Glad to say that within 3 days of our first consultation and 75 stitches later, the mass was removed and he was on his way to a full recovery. Thank you to Dr. Gomez and her wonderful team. You are truly professionals. I will highly recommend you. Actually I already did! You will be seeing my barbers giant schnauzer Jackson in March for neutering.

UPDATE: Lowering by one star because last time we went they took our dog without us, due to COVID-19, which is understandable. But after taking our dog they came out several minutes later and asked if our dog was the one being put down..He was in for a check up, but being asked that after they took our dog was pretty insane, they could have simply asked for our dog's name to match with appointments. That aside generally everyone who works here is very friendly and understanding, and their pricing is so good! They even showed us a couple tricks for keeping our dogs under control for giving medications, which is so helpful.

We had a problem with our dog and the first vet we met told us it would be a minimum of 1200 $ for the operation. Since we couldn't afford it, we postponned the operation. How I would have like to know before this clinic would do it for only 580$ (everything included, night stays and all). Also, they offer the option to pay by installement which make a big difference for a lot of people out there. I have no words to say how GRATEFUL we are. Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you !

Having not visited a vet before, it was hard for me to find a willing Vet to accept my dog as a new client as I called 5 vets prior & all stated that they are not accepting new clients. After contacting Veterinaire Liesse, they accepted me with open arms. Within 2 days I got a appointment for a checkup & exam for my dog.They answered all my questions & concerns & could not have done a better job. The staff was really helpful,generous, & had positive vibes. Will definitely be returning here in the future. Cannot recommend enough. Huge thanks to the staff.

This vet was able to see my dog very quickly as a new patient while traveling on vacation. I'm so thankful they could see us and save us a visit to the emergency vet. The clinic was calm and all the staff were great. Dr. Ma was an amazing communicator and gave a really thorough exam. She did not dismiss my concerns (even though the symptoms were no longer present, of course!). She offered several possible conditions to rule out, candidly shared her impressions, answered all of my questions, and was reasonable about next steps.

Very surprised.. today I've tried to get an appointment for pigeon ...that I believe was hit by a car, just as general check...it's a small soul... When I told them that is a pigeon, they said no... I answer that I am willing to pay for everything...then they said to wait on hold why not. In the end they refuse it because it is a wild bird...really?? How you can name yourself a veterinarian when you refuse to help a poor bird...because you don't make more money as if you will do after a dog???

Fee increase by 59% We've been extremely happy with Dr Langill for 7 years but they now have 2 additional vets and the tooth cleaning fees have gone up by 59% and they don't tell you untill it's time to pick-up your pet. They claim it has been the same price for years. Well I have my receipt from January 2017 and the exact same procedure cost us 59% less. We didn't ask what the cost was because we get our dogs teeth cleaned yearly and it had been the same price since day one. We're not happy.

Absolutely wonderful service!!! Called this morning for an appointment for my cat and they gave me one in the same day! The veterinary and assistants are amazing, they are very knowledgeable, kind and take the time to answer any questions that you have. They were so gentle and kind with my cat, you can tell they love their job and the animals! The prices are great for the services they provide! My cat needs surgery and they were able to give me a date within 10 days!!! Highly recommend!!!

They are exceptional and above board. I brought my cat to them yesterday because he needed immediate attention and I could not get an appointment at my regular clinic until next week. They took such good care of him and were very kind to me and understanding of my fears. it was probably a good clinic before, at least when we went there the first time, but since it opened up to other young vets the quality and competence have taken a hard hit. We brought our dog Rita for a simple teeth cleaning, she almost died and never really recovered. For two weeks after cleaning, she still had difficulty breathing and coughed frequently. No, I no longer recommend this clinic which seems to have taken the voice of profit.

Our dog recently suffered from an unknown infection which made her very, very I’ll. Over the course of a few days, she went from being an active senior dog to a very ill animal unable to do much at all. Dr. Gomes and her team took such good care of her that against all hope, she recovered. We are forever grateful for all the kindness shown to us and to our dog. Love this clinic. A proper continuation of Dr. Langill’s philosophy of care.

Love this vet, I have been going here for maybe 10 years. New owners now, young team but super professional and kind. Prices are reasonable compared to most. Very old building, nothing to speak of, but clean and functional. Dr. Gomez is amazing, along with her technicians, secretaries are always courteous and helpful. All in all, my 3 yorkies are in great shape and don't seem to mind visiting the vet. I give them 5 on 5!! ❤️

My Dad had gone here and was happy with the service. My experience was not good. I had a appointment at 9:45. It was 11AM and was still waiting. I went to the desk and the person at the desk went to see the dr. but from what I heard he didn't seem care. She tried to get some else but it was too late. I had enough. It's to bad they don't know the word sorry as it goes a long way. Very disappointing.

I love this clinic it's the best one yet even though I had to put my cat down today there they were understanding and very patient for us and I'm going again in maybe a few days because me and my family have decided that it would be best to get a kitten to help us get over the death and to bring joy in the house again. They take the time to ask you all the questions, they listen when you talk and they always offer multiple solutions (when there are choices) for the problems you have. They talk candidly about how much things cost so you can make an informed decision about the services you need. I just love them.

I cannot recommend this vet clinic enough. I travelled from Ottawa for my dogs' dental surgery and it was well worth the drive. Dr. Skoulikas is truly such an angel. She’s so kind to my dogs, and so patient and understanding. She never makes you feel rushed, and really takes the time to make sure you feel comfortable with a care plan. She is clearly such an animal lover, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the excellent care she provides for my babies.

Fantastic service from the entire staff. They take amazing care of our 14yo minpins and our new Chinese crested puppy Milo. We drive in from Cornwall Ontario for them to treat our dogs as we trust them implicitly. Pricing is very affordable and they won't overcharge for miscellaneous. Thanks a lot for the care! :)

I was nervous as it had been a very very long time since he had an appointment anywhere and with the added bonus of not being allowed in due to covid. Absolutely one of the best. Been going there for 5 years. They took care of my prior senior dog and now my current dog. The receptionist is so sweet and very calm all the time. Very experienced vet and friendly staff, took good care of our dog, but not as modern or well equipped as some fancy places in the area. For basic care, vaccinations or procedures you probably don't need more, also no upsell pressure or unnecessary recommendations, "old school" practice.

No issue with vet, was very understanding and felt empathy when we spoke. Could not go inside because of Covid however cannot say the same about receptionist, very rude which is very bad because it could reflect on the clinic and it wouldn’t be fair.

Dr Gomez is a great vet with an excellent team behind her. Very knowledgeable and works with customers to find solutions that fit their budget without over prescribing or over testing. Location is a little difficult to get to, but totally worth it!

An efficient, compassionate vet that stayed open and safe throughout the pandemic. Although not fully accessible, they have disabled parking and offer assistance and accommodation at every visit. They have taken good care of my cats.

Well,I have been coming here since Dr Bob Langel’s father began the veterinarian service. I see the patients are much better treated now. I had to put my make Sealyham terrier to sleep last November Dr. Gomes is a saint.

I would like to thank Dr. Raffoul and Dr. Gomes and the team. Although Chicki Pea had to leave this world, they made me feel that my cat was in the best hands. Very compassionate. I would recommend this Vet hands down.

Our new vet. Although the outside is not something to write home about.. All the love is on the inside. This is a classic example of don't rate a book by its cover. The staff was professional, the care was perfect.

Dr Gomes and the team are so incredibly dedicated to their profession and went out of their way to add a heartfelt human touch to what was for us, a very sad and difficult experience. So appreciated their kindness.

My senior cat is being treated very well at this clinic. The staff is always kind and smiling. The vets I talked to are always reassuring and making sure my cat gets the right treatment for her conditions.

They listen and respect the pet owners wishes, their prices are amazing comparing to other Veterinarians. Their treatment of your pet is amazing and they will never push you to have unnecessary procedures.

We brought our Daisy to the clinic for some dental work and cleaning. Dr Gomes had to extract 18 teeth along with stitches. We couldn't be happier with the results and Daisy is fine.. Thank you Dr. Gomes.

The staff there are so nice. It was my first time with my dog and they gave me a tour of the hospital so that I know what is going on there and I really appreciate it. They really care about the animals.

Dr. Ma is nice - Turns out they have two emails, one of which wasn't being monitored (hence the first review). They were proactive in getting back after the review, which worked as intended.

Though the building is unassuming, the staff are very friendly and patient :) the vets here really listen and never appear rushed. So glad I switched from my other vet to come here!

Dr Langill was amazing and everything that you expect from your vet. Since he retired I don't feel the same connection with this clinic.

My dog Jake was euthanized there .. I found out 1 week later.. cried for a week .. he's in doggy heaven now ..
