"One of my favourite parks in the downtown core! Great for all ages! The water feature is a fabulous splash area for babies all the way up to school aged and is often not busy at all! The gardens are well maintained and there is a public washroom, restaurant and library on the site"
"A real charmer of a city park"
"This park is beautiful, and I wish that I could spend more time here but there is a problem with homeless population here"
"Beautiful park used as a Victorian garden then turned the oldest library in Alberta , I believe in 1823"
"Very beautiful park (particularly now that the protests no longer seem to happen here on Saturdays)"

A real charmer of a city park. Beautifully preserved with its Victorian characteristics intact. A very interesting and slightly unusual War memorial, and a huge impressive mounted statue for the Boar War. A lovely setting for a break while exploring downtown.
This park is beautiful, and I wish that I could spend more time here but there is a problem with homeless population here. I was here last week around 6 pm and I had to carry my dog out of the park because there was so much broken glass all over the pathways.
Beautiful park used as a Victorian garden then turned the oldest library in Alberta , I believe in 1823. Alexander Calhoun was the head librarian for 36 years. A new library was built on 14th St SW near River Park and was named after him
Very beautiful park (particularly now that the protests no longer seem to happen here on Saturdays). Sometimes they throw a stage up just behind the library and have concerts! Was very cool to watch my friend and colleague Deborah Nyack
Freedom rally, tons of fun, great to see people enjoying themselves and seeing full faces instead of just a pair of eyeballs!! Great fun, nice park and neighborhood with lots of random and rare store fronts...
A gem in downtown Calgary. This is a great place to unwind and relax specially if your office is within walking distance. Took a quick walk after work and was pleased to see a market during summer.
Lovely flowers, paths and monuments. So much to see. Well designed. Trees, squirrels, birds to enjoy in their surroundings. Worth taking a stroll thru. Plus there is the library.
A very well maintained park right in downtown. Beautiful flowers, fountains, and light fixtures right by the historic library. An excellent summer destination spot
It’s a lovely park, but being in inner city and across from Sheldon Shumir it will always have some homeless population in the area. Still beautiful though.
Love this park and the library. Innercity could use more of that.. the grounds keepers do a marvelous job keeping the grounds clean and vibrant.
Central Memorial Park is a beautiful piece of landscaped park offering a sunny walk with landmarks and accrediting plaques of local history.
Great library with a real music element to it. Photo from a workshop featuring JUNO winning guitarist Mike Rub and pianist David Restivo
Central Memorial Park is truly beautiful and a warm reminder of those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom.
A nice place to sit on a weekend. Best during summer and fall. A good sized park enveloped in the downtown area.
Nice park to walk around. Especially pretty during the summer with all the flowers and the fountains.
What a great experience to attend a Baroque Concert is such beautiful building
