"One of Brisbane's best views tucked away behind Ascot"
"A quick visit with a storm brewing"

"i love to eat wheels and potatoes however when i was doing that at he hill I COULDN'T because there was a bunch of hooigans kissing in top of a tree and i had to climb down my the jack stalk from the magic beans and THN i dislocated my patella and no longer could clime the jack stalk"
"Went at night and thought it would be amazing as per the photos on Google"
One of Brisbane's best views tucked away behind Ascot. You can see Brisbane the river city from the northern side and its beautiful. Even better at night with some incredible reflections especially on a moonlight night. You feel so close to the city.. it is almost as if you can reach out and touch it. There are a few benches to sit and take in the view or have a quiet bite to eat. About 6 car parks next to Brisbane's water supply tanks makes it easy to stroll just 10 metres to the viewing point. One of Brisbane's best kept secrets... Well it was
A quick visit with a storm brewing. Waited out the 10 min storm to then be able to enjoy an awesome view of Brisbane northside including Albion Park raceway, section of Brisbane river where Breakfast Creek joins at Newstead Park. Thankfully since my last visit some smaller trees had been trimmed for a better view. You can even see the Storey Bridge. Must be due for a night time visit again :D
I walked up there from an easterly direction and found it to be a steep and steady climb. Everest is a speed bump compared to Bartleys Hill. A huge water reservoir calls it home, which is why the water pressure keeps blowin' the underground pipes in the local area. Gravitational forces downhill are incredible... X minus Y squared over 100 metres = Give me Blueberry Hill any time!!
i love to eat wheels and potatoes however when i was doing that at he hill I COULDN'T because there was a bunch of hooigans kissing in top of a tree and i had to climb down my the jack stalk from the magic beans and THN i dislocated my patella and no longer could clime the jack stalk. BUT IT LOOJED VERY VERY NICE - NICE VIEW, VERY ATTRCATIVE YOUNG HOOLIGANS.
Went at night and thought it would be amazing as per the photos on Google. They're a bit deceiving though as about 80% of the 'lookout' is pretty much blocked by trees. It's a road going over a slight hill basically. Two benches to sit on but can't see anything if you sit down due to the trees/fence blocking the view.
It's got a nice view of Brisbane through a small gap in the trees but there is absolutely nothing else to do up here. No park, no playground, no toilets. Two benches and a small parking area, that's it. Only worth the trip if you're trying to visit all the lookouts in Brisbane.
Don't visit in the evenings. Almost all cars had McDonalds wrappers littered around them. All parks were taken. It was not pleasant. This crowd was particularly rowdy for a Tuesday night.

This one of these secret places that only the locals know. This place is closer from the city and the views are just as good. There are three sitting benches and parking for about six cars. It's a nice place to relax and enjoy the scenery.
Great place to hang out and chill as the view is always great and the breeze is more often than not refreshing. Can be a bit hot during the day but nothing beats watching a thunderstorm over the city from Bartley's Hill lookout.
Pretty good spot to see an alternative view of Brisbane. Could be better though, trees obstruct the view quite a bit. There are a couple of bench seats and about 8 parking spots.
Unfortunately when you sit down on the benches you look straight into a fence rather than at the view. A pretty spot for a quick stop but not for relaxing and enjoying the view.
Me and my mothers group love it. We always drive our Maseratis around this area stop out for a picture and get back home to clean our marble kitchen in our Ascot home.
Always nice coming up here at night time and watch the city from another angle.

Not a bad spot to look over the city, however it tends to be full of youth hanging around at night and would recommend this spot to only be visited during the day
Such a unique hidden little gift, so close, yet once up there, the view is like it is so far away. A view encased in a native bush frame. Absolutely special.
Nice view, seems a lot of people go here at night! Good place to sneak to when you want to look over the city and eat ice cream with someone special
Great view of Brisbane City and Brisbane from this Lookout. Plenty of parking and bench seating to relax and take in the views and sea breeze.
The lookout at the top has very nice and close view of the city. The only down side is there isn't many seats and there is heaps if mosquitoes
Went up here for a photo shoot - was beautiful. Just a shame the trees are a little overgrown to spoil the otherwise lovely view of the city
Great views over the City out to My Cootha and close byBrisbane River to Tucked away so usually not too busy. Worth a visit at sunset.
A great hill to visit to see a good view of the Brisbane city, also a outstanding view point for any fireworks throughout the year
Its.cute but due.to fence and hedges if you sit down to enjoy the view it's more likely you will be looking at hedges.
There is only a small section of the lookout where you can look out to the city. Best to come at night it's open 24/7
We were told this was a good spot to view the Ekka fireworks.. we couldn't see them, but we could see the rides!
Very nice great view but it's really small car park and really busy spot great for city night light photo taken
Great to watch river fire

Pretty whilst waiting half hour after being rerouted from Sandgate Rd, a tree had fallen over the main road....
Had no idea this existed until recently. Much quieter vantage point to view Brisbane instead of Mt Coot Tha.
Love the view every time I come here.. saw some space debris burning in the atmosphere at the latest times.
Stopped here to admire to view. Lovely outlook but weather not great. Would be fabulous on a clear day.
Nice view of the city and surrounds. There are a few things that may get in the way for some photos.
Small area, clean and now has grass and a bin. Great for a quick 5 minute stop and view of the city.
Great little spot to look at the city and Newstead. Lots of steps to get the blood flowing!
Great view of the city You're able to watch storms work their way across if that's ya thing
Love to walk this place and see the sunset. Awesome try to visit here if you live close by
Much quieter than Mt Cootha lookout. Great views. Suggest avoiding dusk as many mosquitoes
Good for a nice evening/night ride from the CBD,catch some air and pretty good city view.
Nice view of the city, and good place to view the jets from on Riverfire and ANZAC day.
Just a small viewing point in Brisbane. Parking for only a few cars. Nice all the less.
Why are they cycling. It's 4am, nerds. Sun isn't up. Your ruining my last nights vibes.
Great view across Brisbane from this hidden gem. A coffee van would make it great.
Nice views of the city.... Slightly overgrown so the best bits no longer show :(
Good quiet spot to get views of the city. Just around the back of St Margaret's.
It's OK for a view of the city, but it is no more than a place to stop and look.
Nice little lookout in Brisbane, doesn't beat Mt Coot-ha but nice for a change.
Great view of the city even if it's obscured a bit by trees and the hedge
Been going there for 28 years, seeing the changes to our city is awesome
A secret spot with the best views of Brisbane CBD Try it at night.....
Great view, however lots of youths eating kfc and being generally loud
Really good view of the city, not a bad place to finish off a date
Chill view of the city and a great spot to pass on a morning walk.
Cool lookout. Three park seats where to can enjoy the view
View of the city. Slightly romantic in the evening lights.
not a great view. mount coot-tha is a much better option!
Nice view of city, only 1 tree in the way and very quiet
Great view but watch out for mosquitos from dusk to dawn
Nice lookout spot with views of the river and Newstead.
Secluded retreat overlooking Brisbane CBD and river.
Nice place for photos or to just sit and relax at.
Superb city skyline view almost hidden location
Good lookout, limited parking available though.
Lovely quiet place to enjoy the city view
Not much of a view, due to tree growth
Good views of the city and the river
Busy area with pretty good views
Great views not much parking
great view of Brisbane.
It's ok
