I dont think ive ever written a bad review for somewhere so i’ll try to be as informative as possible. I went here for waxing(brazilian wax to be more specific). This was not my first waxing and wont be my last, but it will certainly be my last at synergy. The woman who did this used no spcial technique for brazilian and tender regions but just used wax and strips. Most places use a combo of hard wax and strips depending in the area and hair. But Fine that was her preference. She had to go over the same area several times leaving my skin irritated, she did not hold the skin firm to ensure she got the hair which left me with many patches i had to shave when i got home and many purple(yes purple) hicky like bruises all along the bikini line from the pulling. So in conclusion i was left with very angry skin which i still needed to shave(approx 50% of the hair) and not wear shorts because i had hiddeous marks for days. This has never happended in the years of waxing and therefore i will not be returning.

I cannot say enough bad things about this place. AVOID. I wish I could give no stars, and I am a very understanding person. I give businesses a few tries before giving up. I smile at grumpy staff. I tip well. This place is such a joke. Very dirty and the girls are always running behind. No consideration for the customer, as appointments are constantly rescheduled. Prices change from visit to visit. Manicures are so below standard: polish that chips, French mani that looks like a child did it, and I was cut on one occasion. I have watched people come in to complain and the manager be nowhere around. I have watched people stand and wait at the front counter. I have heard the girls openly discuss their tips. Like I said, gave this place three tries: two manicures and one facial. The facial was nothing like its description, and there are just so many spas out there....go anywhere else.

Oh my gosh, they had their own staff write reviews to boost their score!! When I first checked out this salon, their score was much lower. Guess they are more concerned with appearances than actual quality. I wanted to give this place a chance as it is in a great location. It seems more like a clinic than a spa. Very stark and bright. Generic music. The manicure station is right out in the open near the cash. Manicure 1: the tech cuts my finger, apologizes, cleans it, and finishes. Manicure 2: I choose pink. The lady comes back with purple and argues with me that it is the colour I chose... Manicure 3: (A different tech from manicure 1) CUTS MY FINGER. Continues with the manicure with the blood in my polish... After all that, each polish was cheap and chipped within 2 days. Not worth the price, there are plenty of other places.

I am client since Synergy Spa opened in 2002. I used to go there for haircuts and massages but now mostly for facials, eyebrow waxing, microdermabrasion and pedicures. At first excellent Aveda products and a high professional standard kept me going there. Then it changed owner. The products used were substandard but yet the prices remained high. Then it changed owner again. Unfortunately, the staff is unprofessional, rude even and unwelcoming. Especially the staff at the front desk. The prices have gone up while the overall service has significantly gone down . This month was my last visit. Time to move on.

Most disappointing experience. The staff was fantastic, however the furniture for my pedicure was unacceptable. The spa has replaced the larger pedicure chair to a small, low to the ground and nonadjustable chair. As a 5ft10in person I was completely uncomfortable the entire time as the ergonomics were terrible. My knees, legs and hips needed to be positioned in very difficult ways for the staff to do their job. I will not be returning because of the furniture, even thought the staff did a great job. Very disappointed by this poor downgrade in furniture.

I was a new client just prior to the latest lockdown. Had booked the next appointment but it was obviously cancelled by the lockdown. As lockdown lifted, stylist was on social media indicating they would be re-scheduling clients the weekend prior to opening, to be near our phones, and be patient. Two weeks later, no phone call, so I called the salon and left a message. The VM message asked that clients be patient, and to only leave one message. It has been a full month, no calls from anyone. Took my business elsewhere. Very disappointed.

I had such a wonderful experience at the Synergy Spa. The estheticians and the hostess were absolutely wonderful. They were very welcoming and made me feel right at home. Even with the pandemic going on, you get the full experience and ambience of going to the spa. They have adapted very well to the pandemic in order to keep everyone safe and in order for everyone to feel comfortable and at ease. The services were above and beyond as usual. They do such a wonderful job and were very friendly and fun to be around. 10/10 would recommend.

It is unfortunate that the quality of the service did not match the personal service I received at synergy spa. While everyone I met there was extremely polite and accommodating the quality of service was lacking. My manicure lasted less an 24 hours before it chipped. The pedicure was not adequate and it seems I am already due for another one, in less than 1 week. Not to mention the prices are outlandish for the lack of quality. I do not recommend this establishment, it is over priced for the quality of the service.

I have used Synergy Spa many times. This week I had a mani/pedi. The pedicure was okay but the manicure was terrible. I just wanted the nails cut, cleaned up and clear nail polish. It was a rush job and not well done. A cuticle was nicked. Also, I have been trying to find a hairdresser who can work with my fine hair so a while back I tried a cut from a woman at Blades. Worst cut I ever had. My husband usually buys me gift cards from Synergy but I may have to point him in another direction. Very disappointing!

since Caroline sold the place....The peolpe at the reception are not the same employee. They always makes mistake when booking an appointment, with the type of service booking. Your trying to book an appoinment and the girls on the phone is talking with the other employees. I've been going there for over 12 years but now I find another place to have my services and to buy the product. very poor service at the front desk. The esthetician we use to see is very good and the quality of the facail were excellent!

I have visited Synergy Salon and Spa for pedicures four times now since under new ownership. All four times have been a wonderful experience. The spa is clean, quiet and a peaceful place to visit. And my time with Laura is always delightful. The new owners of Synergy, Amanda and Marilyn, have an obvious love for their new venture and it shows in the cleanliness of the salon & spa and the feeling of warmth and happiness from everyone when I visit.

I am huge fan of Setare!!! She works at Synergy and always makes me feel at ease and I leave feeling my best. She has worked with me as I have learned how to embrace my hair texture and we always laugh and have so much fun. Synergy as a spa had amazing COVID safety protocols and I definitely recommend Setare to friends who are looking for a colourist and hairdresser and Synergy for a spa that takes care of its clientele.

My hairstylist recently changed from synergy to another salon, so i had gone with another stylist (Mavish). i was a little worried as it was someone different doing my hair but, wow!! she blew all my worries and expectations away!! i went for a balayage and cut, and she made my hair look stunning! Mavish truly listens to what you want in your hair/haircut and brings it to life! Definitely coming back again, thank you!!

My daughter had her hair done by Mavish and it was the best experience . She made my daughter feel so welcome and special during her appointment. Both my partner and I have been customers of Blades for many years. They are welcoming, polite and highly professional. The reception is always with a smile , the washing is very relaxing , and the styling and cutting are of the highest quality. The floor, counters and bathroom are kept very clean.The prices are also very reasonable. We award them the highest of recommendations.

Synergy Spa delivers a warm welcome the moment you walk in. The ambiance is inviting and super clean. I've only ever been serviced by Laura and Camille. They are both great at what they do and extremely friendly. Conveniently located across Place D'Orleans is a great opportunity to pamper yourself after some therapeutic shopping. I love Synergy Spa! The owner and staff are really nice. I see Kate for my hair and I never loved my hair as much as I do since I started going there. Nathalie is my esthetician and she is a sweetheart. Marie-Claire is the best massage therapist EVER. I've seen many and no one even comes close to her. Try the Spa and you will not be disappointed!

I use to go to Ambrida Salon, in place d’Orleans and was moved to this salon. I can say I really loved it. It’s a really warm and friendly atmosphere. I had Mavish to cut my hair and I absolutely enjoyed my experience . Very knowledgeable in her profession and very fun to talk to! Definitely will be going back to her and recommending her! ☺️

I've been seeing Setare for almost 2 years now to get my hair done and she is AMAZING! She really makes sure to understand exactly what you want and always sets realistic expectations. She is by far the best hair stylist I have ever been too! I always get excited to go see her and have my hair done, best part of my day!

Always excellent service (salon used to be at the mall -Ambrida- however now with synergy spa). Amal has been styling my hair for years and she is amazing & a colour specialist (colour is always perfect!) , other stylists are great too. Love the spa as well, been there several times and never disappointed!

Been going to synergy for years to get my hair done. New renovations look absolutely incredible and the atmosphere inside is amazing. This has become my go to hair salon for balayage and toning services. I've booked primarily with Setare who is a great stylist and blond specialist who really takes the time to listen to your vision and hair goals. Highly recommend her for general cut/styling and blonde colouring services.

I visited this spa for the first time and had the pleasure of working with Becca as she came highly recommended. I ended up getting highlights (balayage style) as well as a cut. I love the color of my hair and the way it looks. It was a very pleasant experience with an amazing atmosphere.

I went to get my hair done there and I liked the result. However when I called to set an appointment, the girl at the reception told me to wait a moment. She put me on hold. fifteen minutes later I was still on hold. That's terrible customer service right there.

After having seen more than a dozen massage therapists I can easily say that Marie-Claire has been the best massage therapist I have seen yet. Overall body condition and health is important to Marie-Claire and you leave feeling revived and refreshed.

Wasted my money on this place. I can apply my own nail polish better than "someone who was trained"! Who puts polish below the cuticle and beside the nail? Besides that the polish was chipping within 4 hours. Go somewhere else.
