I have had numerous poor experiences with this pharmacy in the past several months, and this week was the last chance I feel I will give them. This past spring, my doctor submitted a script for an infection that required quick treatment. Despite numerous calls stressing the importance of this medication, the pharmacy first told me it would be ready the next day, then told me they had not received the script the next day (a Saturday), and asked me to call back Monday to see if the week day tech knew where the script was. I followed up with my doctor on Monday, and they assured me they had faxed the script the past Thursday following my appointment. They sent it along again, and it still took the pharmacy another two days to fill the prescription. I had numerous calls to the pharmacy over this period, stressing my condition and the need for these medications to very little avail. I eventually presented myself in store and asked if they would prepare it while I waited. Wildly, when I got home and checked the script, I did not recognize the drug name - I googled and found they had mistakingly given me another client's medication, including his drug history, address, phone # etc!! I was furious and called to address the problem. They admitted their wrong doing and promised they would be in touch with the other client to inform him of the mistake. Every time I have submitted a script since this spring, it has been a minimum 3 day wait for it to be filled. The "BeWell" app will tell me the expected pickup day time is for a couple hours from script submission, but then the status never changes from "in progress". My final straw is this week's experience. I am a shift worker and unfortunately have not had a chance to change pharmacies since the multitude of issues this spring/ summer. Following a virtual appointment, my doctor submitted a script for a medication dose change for me this past Monday. The medication is fairly simple (levothyroxine), and I hoped it may be ready by Tuesday. When the app still said "in progress" Tuesday morning, I called to check on it's status. I was placed on hold for 10 minutes, and then told it would be ready soon and they would text me. I did not receive the text until Wednesday at 9 pm, a full day and a half later! I stopped by at lunch Thursday to pick it up, and was told they could not find it, and I waited 5 minutes for them to fill it at that point. To my amazement, the bottle they gave me was a prefilled/ sealed package from the manufacturer, so they literally just had to print the label and process this script! No counting the pills or anything to really explain the 3 day wait! I will finally be putting time into finding a more reliable pharmacy at this point, and hope this review can help others avoid this wildy inefficient pharmacy

Having worked in customer service jobs for the majority of my adult life, I understand how hard it can be to work with the public every day, especially when people take their stresses out on you. I know it isn’t easy - and that is an understatement. That being said, I have had so many negative experiences with this pharmacy that I really can’t justify the lack of respect and decency towards customers. I can only speak for myself, but having read other reviews here I can see that this is a common experience for those who frequent this pharmacy. Not only is there a lack of follow through and communication (for instance, I am often told my prescription is ready only to go pick it up and find out it isn’t - or, the signs and voicemail message that say walk in booster/flu shots are available “any time any day” only to go there to find out you have to book an appointment and the only available times are Monday-Friday 1-3.. which is fine, but why not just say that) - but also, the attitude I have received, in particular from the female pharmacist has been deplorable at best. After yet another instance of being told my prescription was ready for pick up only to go there and find out it wasn’t, she argued with me telling me I was never told it was ready and that I was lying. This was so disrespectful and it was extremely hard for me to reason with her about this. It isn’t the end of the world but I have to travel quite a ways to get there and it’s confusing when I’m being told one thing only to find out it isn’t true. She treated me like I was a liar and was very short and dismissive with me. Another instance with her was just today when I had to pick up another prescription- I shared with her that the medication had been giving me some pretty severe side effects and asked if I could lower my dose. Her response was, “you just have to deal with it”. Anyway. I’m tired of leaving this pharmacy either wanting to cry from being gaslit or from being treated like a fricken lowlife plebeian. Lol. I’m changing pharmacies from now on, even if I’ll be required to travel further. Not worth it. And I want to also say, I have had some positive experiences with this pharmacist, she has showed me kindness in the past and I can tell she has a soul somewhere in there, but for the love of god - the bad experiences have outweighed the good, by a long shot. The fact that I feel anxious every time I have to pick up my medication says all you need to know about this place. Wouldn’t recommend it, at all.

Went to pick up my prescription 7 days after being notified it was ready. Got to the counter and a staff member is talking while checking out another staff member. Which is absolutely fine. What's not fine is that I got to the counter and the lady that just finished checking her fellow worker out looked at me, threw up her hands and walked away saying "I don't know anything back here" and walked off without saying anything to the only pharmacist who was off in the corner with her head down. So I stood there and waited for 10 minutes while she stood there on her cell phone. When she finally came over I asked for my prescription, told her my name and date of birth. She looks at me and says "you didn't pick your prescription up within 2 weeks of it being ready so it was canceled". I explained that I just came 1 week ago and was told they didn't have the prescription to come back and got the text a day later. I work shift work, I can't magically show up any time they want me to. So I waited until the end of this week. 7 days after receiving the text message saying the prescription was ready. I told her again I got the text saying it was ready 1 week ago. I need this medication, I can't just not take it and I've already been turned away once before for it. She literally stood there and fought with me for 5 minutes. Rolled her eyes and told me "fine I'll make it but next time come before it's canceled". I pulled out my phone and tried to show her I only received the text 7 days ago. Not 14 days later. I am not late. I am well within the time frame. Then she dropped the bag and told me "pay at the front" and moved onto the next customer without anything else. SO RUDE. Zero customer service skills. Zero care about her job. Not to mention the 9.99 fee they charge plus tax for 0 customer service and lack of guarantee of medications. This is the third time I have had an experience similar to this at this pharmacy in the 9 months I've lived in Ottawa. I will be switching pharmacies as soon as I can find another one nearby and have a day off.

The store itself is fine, staff are friendly, selection is small but OK. The pharmacy is terrible - slow and rude. The pharmacist seems to regard all customers as dummies or pill poppers, regardless of the prescription you go in for. He is unhelpful if you ask for a recommendation or information; I once asked him a question and he stared at me blankly and silently until I just left. But, the worst is this one woman. Even when she's ignoring you, she oozes attitude. I went in once with two prescriptions, including painkillers, for my boyfriend who had just gotten home from surgery. I had called on our way there but got no answer. When I arrived, I was the only customer at the pharmacy, and I stood by the counter for several minutes while she ignored me. She saw me and was standing right in front of me, but did not acknowledge my presence with anything other than a brief look of contempt, until someone else behind the counter noticed me waiting and said something. I gave her the prescription and briefly (and nicely!) explained that I needed it filled as soon as they could, knowing my boyfriend had about 40 minutes before his pain management from the hospital wore off. Hoo boy - if looks could kill! Reluctantly, she said they could manage that, but it was really inconvenient (sorry, is that not the purpose of a pharmacy, to fill prescriptions in a reasonable amount of time??) I returned several times over the course of two hours before finally, mercifully, getting the meds. At no time did they give me a reliable timeframe or offer to call when the prescription was filled, or suggest that I go elsewhere because they weren't able to fill it quickly enough, or apologize for the delay, or even just smile and be somewhat nice. BTW: If they spent as much time dealing with the ongoing issues in their store as they do copy-pasting replies to reviews written by customers who had bad experiences, they wouldn't HAVE any issues.

This is a review solely for the pharmacy section. It's commonly known that introducing foods to infants under six months can potentially help reduce their sensitivity (or allergy) to those foods, later in life. Yes, peanut butter is one of those foods. Laughing at the suggestion--when you claim to be a professional pharmacist--isn't quite the reaction or guidance we were hoping for as new parents. Our doctor told us introducing peanut butter at a younger age may help, so we came looking for the suggested Benadryl for kids, which is not recommended for kids under 2. However, good thing we have a competent and respectful doctor that will listen to our concerns and help us through this process. God forbid anyone who isn't in our lucky circumstance and needs to solely rely on an unprofessional pharmacist with poor manners. Especially in a neighbourhood with low-income, marginalized or at-risk parents. Simply pointing your finger at the appropriate Benadryl would have sufficed. Except now, this location has lost a customer. When a new parent comes to see you regarding allergy help, do you think it's wise to laugh at the new parent if they suggest their 6 month old consume peanut butter? I'm hoping you can assess how you should treat your clients/customers and how you would like to be treated yourself. Perhaps some sensitivity training or up-to-date guidance for new parents is in the future for this particular Rexall pharmacy. Perhaps not, but I'll gladly forgo this location until it catches up with the times.

My rating is not on rexall its self but the staff at this location. Very ill run. Today. Sunday. March 28th. 7:30pm. I went to get the rest of my sons medication; which I had to come back to pick up and they always say they dont have enough. Every single time. I thought while I was there i could ask them to fax my doctor for my medication which I have been without for 2 months due to their negligence. She also had my sons health card in possession. She didnt want to fax and says its not their problem. So I finish my stuff and left. I notice i didnt have my sons health card. I went back to ask for it. She right away said no and then proceeded to ask me STRAIGHT UP "did you take your medication today?" The audacity I tell you. After about 10 minutes of arguing and me empty my pockets. I yelled and said PLEASE will you look at the papers you have there. And bam. They were there. Rudest lady ever. Should not be working there. She should be fired as she has absolutely no respect for customer service. If i see her there i will not go to get my medication anymore. Making me now have to change everything just because this woman was not educated on respect. Please MANAGEMENT/ Owners please. Your loosing business over having super disrespectful staff. Whats the point of reviews if you dont listen. Like your average is 2.7 stars and thats saying something. I wouldn't give it that for sure. Ever seen a shoppers with less then 4 stars ? Think about how they are doing things and how you are not.

Most of the staff are okay but the lady pharmacist leaves a lot to be desired. I was there one day waiting to ask a question and behind an older gentleman waiting for his prescription, this was his 2nd time that day to come and get his meds and they were still not ready...he was naturally upset but was not rude as for the pharmacist she was extremly rude to this gentleman. She told him in no uncertain terms he would have to come back. He told her I live across town and had to take 2 buses to get there, she said that was not her problem. He left without his meds...and I told her she was very rude to him.She said if you don't like how I speak leave... she also made a comment about people having to still wear masks in the store but she was not wearing hers. I will not go to that drugstore again, even though I have to go further it is worth it. Went back to this pharmacy today for a covid and flu dhot again this si called new pharmesist she calls herself is one of the rudest people I had ever met she told me they don't do walkins for shots but when you walk into the store you hear the messages that walk in shots are available its to bad,no wonder they have such bad reviews ..note to phamesist if you hate your job do customers a favor and QUIT

I agree with many reviews here that the customer service from the pharmacy staff (specifically the older woman who seems to be in charge) is pretty horrible. There is always some issue whenever I go. Once, I asked for a refill on a prescription on a Monday. I was told it would take about an hour, but I couldn't wait around so I came back on the Tuesday. The woman said it still wasn't ready. I asked how long it would be, she said an hour. Again, I couldn't wait. The next day, I went back and was told it would be another hour. I told the pharmacist I had asked for the refill two days earlier, and asked if it would actually be ready when I came back in an hour (because I was obviously skeptical at that point). The woman rolled her eyes and condescendingly said, "Uh, yeah." To have to wait two days for a prescription when you were initially told it would be an hour, and then to have the pharmacist roll her eyes at you? Wow. Just awful. Some of the other pharmacy staff are quite nice, but this one woman is so nasty and mean-spirited whenever I interact with her. And I always try to be as nice as possible because I worked in customer service for 8 years and know how hard it is. There is just no excuse for her attitude.

  • Aquagirl2020

I only started going to this pharmacy because they are closest to me, however I am now going to go elsewhere to give my hard earned money. The customer service here is deplorable, the pharmacist, I believe she's also the manager has terrible, terrible people skills. For a profession that's supposed to be there to help people, she and her staff are doing a terrible job! Mt first experience with her, she literally yelled at me for coming to check on my prescription, which my doctor had sent over to them, before calling. I was not aware of this policy and was only coming to check and get information. I got yelled at for that, I was truly taken aback! If I find out how to file a complaint I will. There is no way such a person should be working in a health/ service profession. I'm definitely taking my money and service some place else. **update ** after some shopping around, have found another smaller pharmacy about 6 or 7 blocks down the street, and the service there is so much better..I feel so relieved to find a place I can be treated well and get my prescriptions in good time. I will never ever give my money to Rexall or Shopper's drugmart pharmacies!

Picking up a prescription, but my doctor still did not fax it after being asked multiple times and I was on my second day of not having medication and going through withdrawals. The fact my meds were not there still heightened the anxiety I was already having as a side effect of the withdrawals and started hyperventilating. The pharmacist proceeded to yell at me, telling me they won’t help me unless I stop crying and hyperventilating because they don’t need my stress. They continued to yell at me to calm down and threaten to not help me at all if I couldn’t stop, which obviously made it worse. I calmed myself down enough that the pharmacist gave me a dose of my medication. I will for sure be changing pharmacies as this was a horrible and dehumanizing situation. It was already very stressful and uncomfortable for me with my doctor not responding to faxes for medication I need and to have the pharmacist yell at me and draw the whole stores attention to me made it 10x worse. I strongly recommend never visiting this pharmacy or having prescriptions refilled here.

I agree with most of the opinions shared here. I will not return to this pharmacy. I stopped by to take advantage of their walk-in flu shot offer. There is/was a sign on the entrance door stating 'Walk-In Flu Shot 10AM - 3PM' (I was there ~ 1PM). I waited in line at the Pharmacy for ~10 minutes and when I got to the front of the line, I asked to get a flu shot. The pharmacist stated that they weren't giving them today but then also quoted different hours than posted (? 12 - 2PM?, and I'm still within those hours). I pointed out (politely, I think) that they have a sign on the door that says otherwise. She then responded with 'the sign doesn't know about availability'. Well, that's certainly true, but it doesn't take a ton of effort to pull the taped sign from the front door when it's completely wrong and results in a waste of time for anyone that thinks it reflects reality. Give me a break...

I don’t usually write negative reviews, but I felt like I had to after the way I was treated by the store manager during my evening visit. It was 7:00 pm and there was an empty parking lot. I had to run in quickly to get a drink, so I put my hazards on, and parked in front of the handicap for a few seconds. As I was paying, the store manager rudely yells at me, mocking me, and saying that she will not serve me. I told her there was nobody in the lot, and there were no lanes indicating it was a handicap except for the sign. And I was just going to be there for a second. Instead of listening to my concern, she rudely yelled at me in front of the other customers and started shaming me. Absolutely unacceptable service. I will never be returning to this location, and I will be calling corporate about this inconsiderate behavior.

I've held off writing a review. I've been going to this pharmacy for the last 7 years since I started working in the area. I've had issues in the past, but they were remedied easily and people make mistakes. But the service I got today was beyond awful. The pharmacist was extremely rude for no reason. He started snapping at me over something simple. I'm NEVER rude to people serving me so it was completely out of line. I bumped it up a star because the lady working the cash overheard us speaking and came to help me. She has been working there since I started going and has always been super kind and pleasant. I think it's time I jump ship and move to another pharmacy. Good luck to anyone that has to work or deal with that pharmacist.

  • Samantha Margaret

moved to the area from Centretown (where we loved our pharmacist at the Rexall location we went to) hoping this Rexall would be of the same quality. how wrong we were! I experienced long, long wait times to pick up prescriptions I had called in advance, and I witnessed pharmacists be rude to elderly customers on multiple occasions. During a peak pandemic period I watched one of the pharmacists take off her mask behind the counter and leave it off as she interacted with staff which was actually my turning point and I transferred my prescriptions to a much nicer, smaller Pharmasave. My partner would also try to fill his prescriptions and it seemed like the most daunting task for them. Please do not waste your time here!!

  • Ronald Trafford

Worst experience at a store ever!. Went in for lottery tickets. Floors were badly worn and very dirty. Girl at the counter was polite but had no interest in customer service. Gave her my lottery boards, they kept coming up with errors on the ticket, suggested the machine might be dirty. She refused to accept that and blamed the error on me. I voided the blank boards and it worked fine but didn't get one of my selection slips back. The girl said she doesn't have it and yet there was a ticket from that board. It's all minor in the grand scheme but she argued with me none the less...I felt like a ninth class citizen. I'm finding that some youth today have zero customer service, as if the customer is nothing.

  • Malcolm Montroy

Wow I thought I had a bad experience but there is a reason they sit comfortably at 2.5 stars. Really should have read the reviews before letting them fill a prescription I need for daily living. Brought a prescription in on Friday and was told it would be ready Saturday. Showed up Sunday to pick it up and was told they had no stock and it would be even later. Not having stock isn't a problem, the problem is not contacting the customer when the ETA of something has changed, especially when you have the customers number ON FILE. Oh and when I showed up today it also wasn't ready and they had no excuse this time. To top it off they want $12.99 for a service fee. More like a lack of service fee

  • Alexandra Ekstrom

Awful service at the pharmacy; called to have my Rx transferred there because I needed a refill last minute on a Sunday and they were open late enough for me to get here; got there and there was no Rx, the person at the counter was rude, found a note from the other pharmacist to give me a call tomorrow (instead of today? Why? If they'd called me that day to let me know they couldn't get my Rx when they said they would, I'd have gone to a walk-in). Went in the next day, more rude staff. Price was higher than any other place I've gone. They don't stock a lot of common behind-the-counter meds either. As for the rest of the shop, they have a poor selection and are frequently out of essentials.

  • David McBride

If I could leave 0 stars I would…this is the worst pharmacy I’ve ever dealt with!!! Prescriptions are rarely ready on time and they even lose prescriptions. The staff is not at all knowledgeable about what is going in their own operation on and have rude and blunt many times. They also use the excuse that medications are back ordered and then when I finally transferred my prescriptions to a reputable pharmacy I was informed by my new pharmacy that there is no problem fulfilling my prescription in a timely manner. I will never use any Rexall pharmacy EVER again and I personally recommend that everyone avoid Rexall (the Parkdale one specifically) like the plague!

  • C S.C.

Another 1 star review for the pharmacy - specifically, the two women who are rude, condescending and not helpful without an unnecessary amount of persistence. The other pharmacists and staff are fine but these two felt like they didn't like their jobs and took it out on the customers. If we weren't persistent and knew to not take things personally, we wouldn't have received our prescriptions or any other information. I can not imagine how they treat other people and how helpless others may feel. Lastly, it took them 30 minutes to process one order and acknowledge the next person in line. Many people of course left.

  • Antonietta Pietrangelo

Started going here a couple of years ago and they were absolutely fantastic, but within the past six months or so it's become terrible. Prescriptions take days to fill despite me needing them consistently over the course of months, and one of the pharmacists is incredibly condescending and rude. I gave her the benefit of the doubt the first couple of times (COVID times are stressful) but after multiple interactions there hasn't been a single one in which she hasn't snipped at me or scolded me for not filling a prescription a week in advance. I will be switching pharmacies with my next refill and not looking back.

  • Andy Hind

Just don’t bother going. The pharmacist is the nastiest person alive. He couldn’t be more miserable. He also gave me a vaccine without wearing gloves after I waited 10 minutes watching him drink coke and eat popcorn. It wasn’t until the cashier told him to help me he did anything. Time and time I go hoping it’ll be different. But I’ll never set foot in this store again. If they tear the building down for a condo I hope they don’t come back. Advice for management - do something. The reviews are all the same. The cashiers are the nicest and probably the least paid. Your pharmacist is a jerk.

  • Jordan Tobias

Extremely polite, and knowledgeable pharmacy staff(above the counter products as well). Also very fast to fill prescriptions with honest fill times. Wait times are to be expected when you are located on Wellington, though after the pre/post work rush it is very quick. Staff behind the counter always have a smile, and great customer service. I can walk past something 10x and they can find it in under 30seconds. The store is organized well I just have bad eyes(and small boxes don't mix) Store is always bright and clean and well stocked. Needs to sell ice cream though...

  • Vanessa Turpin

The store is fine, basic but has everything you need. Cashiers in the store seem nice and efficient! Pharmacy is awful though. Will not go back for prescriptions. Treated me as though I was an addict or abusing my own prescription. They messed up and gave me half my prescribed amount, then were completely rude when I tried to pick up the other half (their own mistake). Also I don’t think they entered my insurance properly. I had 100% coverage yet they always charged me. When I went to another pharmacy, I didn’t pay anything! I regret ever going to their pharmacy.

  • Keyvan Sepehr

I mistakenly chose this pharmacy as the one and for several years I had painful experience and headaches. They are very disorganized and unprofessional and the staff keep changing so promises on pickups and others mean nothing as today's pharmacist knows nothing about the promise made by yesterday's pharmacist. And worse the Pharma Plus management is aware of enormous issues with this place and so far they have done nothing. I am glad that eventually I transferred my file to another nearby pharmacy. Better late than never.

  • Lisa Glandon

Terrible pharmacy! I've had several problems here: telephone renewal system not working, prescriptions not ready even though I got a call saying it was ready, despondent/rude staff. The last straw was today when they gave me someone else's prescription! I was picking up two prescriptions and I checked that the right name was on one of the bags (I should have checked both). When I get home, I find that it's someone else's drugs, I have all their personal info and their drug history too! I will be switching pharmacies.

  • Marie-Pierre Lavigueur

There are definitely some lovely staff members, but overall the customer service at the pharmacy is severely lacking in kindness, and efficiency. My prescriptions are late, I'm told I'll get an update when it's ready but I always have to go back to ask a day or two later and am told it got "forgotten" or "lost" and I have to wait still. It's impossible to reach them by phone, etc. Do they just need extra staff? Who knows. It's enough for me to switch to a more efficient pharmacy for sure.

  • Gabriella Carrier

The customer service from this location’s pharmacist is unbelievably poor. I am writing this review after 4 different visits and observing the pharmacist treat myself, other customers, or her staff poorly. She is short with others and overall service is slow. I read the reviews to this Rexall after recently moving to the neighborhood when looking for a new pharmacy and hoped my experiences would be different. I was wrong and will be looking for a new place for personal care purchases.

  • Gerardo Suarez

Pharmacy is horribly disorganized.. Had two seperate chronic pain appts for injections, and each occasion I called pharmacy 3x to confirm all my stuff was in stock and ready to go. Day of appt, pharmacy calls me to say to cancel my appts because they didn't actually have everything after all Requested multiple times to transfer my scripts to another pharmacy and they refused. Manager would never return my calls. Had to call head office... Do not use!

  • Gillian Pritchard

Yikes. Poor customer service. You can wait at the pharmacy counter for minutes without anybody acknowledging your presence. Recently, Pharmacy staff were having a loud fight accusing one of their colleagues of misconduct. All the staff got involved, flinging accusations, screaming down the aisles. Totally unprofessional. I'll come here to pick up the odds and ends because it's convenient but I would never send my prescriptions here.

  • K Thompson

I have visited this pharmacy four times since they posted signs for flu shots and every single time I go, they simply tell me to come back tomorrow and walk away. I've spoken to the same man three times and one unprofessional-presenting staff member today. It would be helpful if they would at least tell me why I need to come back and cannot be vaccinated. Unhappy with the lack of service and communication they provide.

  • Rafael Wugalter

Although there are some good people working there, the overall customer service and reliability are not good enough for me to continue doing business with them. They subcontract pill pack preparation to some kind of centre, which can create delays. I think they are victims of their own heavy caseload. There is a bit of a blame-the-patient vibe, and this, despite the patient being quite diligent and communicative.

  • Mark Mancari

This has been my regular pharmacy for a few years now, even as I have moved farther from it. The customer service from the pharmacy staff declined significantly during the pandemic, which is not surprising. I think things have been improving in recent months. I am giving the benefit of the doubt to the owner and the staff there... I know serving clients isn't easy and that staff shortages are real.

  • Laura McKinley

The service here is abysmal. I can't get through on the phone and I've had problems getting my prescriptions. I made the mistake of transferring my prescriptions here. One was filled without telling me and then cancelled, so my insurance got billed and I never got the medication. And another was lost completely, so all of my refills are gone. I am now unable to get my medication thanks to them.

  • Louis B.

Like others have mentioned, Rude staff at the Pharmacy. Ran out of pills for my blood pressure and they gave me a weeks supply so I can renew my prescription. (Having issues with Doctor renewing) BUT the $1.00 a day pill became $2.78 a day pill because I was stuck and needed the med's. So I walked out. They charge me $90 for three months supply vs Pharmasave charges me $47 for 3 months supply.

  • Tracey Ward

The new pharmacist is rude, unaccomidating, dismissive, and severely lacks empathy especially in these trying times. I will personally move my prescriptions elsewhere, as I am a human being who deserves respect Saddly I have been a loyal customer for years till the new pharmacist appeared I was very happy, but I guess some people just don't have what it takes to be more tolerant

  • Chloe Fadel

I transferred my prescriptions over to another pharmacy. The staff at this pharmacy is rude and unhelpful when I ask questions. As many have mentioned in other comments, they often ignore you for several minutes while you stand at the counter. I don’t mind waiting, but the staff will purposely not make eye contact and pretend like I’m not there even though I know they saw me arrive.

  • Edward Harrison

Can I give this place 0 stars? The pharmacy is TERRIBLE. They staff are rude and stupid, and the pharmacist is very difficult to understand. I can't count the number of times I've CALLED IN ADVANCE to make sure they have a prescription and then, wham, when I get there... they messed up and I have to wait another day. Oh man.. this feels good to vent. They are terrible. The end.

  • Paul Leblanc

I've had no problem getting my drugs on time. However my daughter has only bad experiences with the staff. Asking her to take prescription to another Rexall as their to busy.. Hello Insurance info is registered at this pharmacy.. I've seen some professional decline over last 2 years in their service skills... Big Pharmacist staff turn over...hmmmm why?

Terrible. Was looking to get vaccines, they said they had it and to come by at 12:00, then they were training someone and said to come back at 3:00-4:00, so we came back and then they didn't have the vaccine they said that they had, then the person at the front desk said that vaccines weren't important. Just terrible customer service. 0 stars.

  • Danielle Duval

Tried to have my file transferred here. Each time I went in I was assured that my prescription would be filled next time I came in, and each time it wasn't. Now I'm having issues transferring my file elsewhere and getting my prescriptions, because they don't even answer their phone! They answer, put you on hold, and never pick up again.

  • Melanie Grimes

I had 2 prescriptions filled and they only gave me one, I called asking if the other one was there later and they said yes. When I went to pick it up they said they didn’t have it. It’s been about 5 or more days since I filled it. Very unorganized. There’s one woman who works there and she was extremely rude and not helpful at all.

  • Matt

Listen to the other reviews, this is honestly the worst pharmacy I've ever had the displeasure of using in my life. The pharmacy staff are surly, unhelpful, and downright rude. They take 5 days to do something the pharmacies down the road can do in 30 minutes. I transferred my prescriptions out and will never look back.

  • Stefania Alexis

There are some lovely pharmacists that work here. Unfortunately, those are never the ones that help me. Every single time i get a prescription filled, there's an issue (either lost prescription, not ready at the time they said it would be). Certain staff members are consistently rude. Definitely switching pharmacies

  • Ben Lavallee

The 2 new pharmacists are objectively rude and condescending. I'm sad that the old pharmacist left, he was always very kind and courteous. These 2 new pharmacists go out of their way to be rude. I'm honestly thinking of changing pharmacies. The non pharmacy staff of Rexall are very kind and helpful though.

  • Deborah Howe

There’s always a whole bunch of people behind the pharmacy desk but nobody is ever willing to help you. It’s our closest pharmacy otherwise we wouldn’t even bother as it’s so frustrating and when you do eventually get to speak to someone they are so rude it’s very off putting.

  • Tom Burns

This has got to be the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. Every time it's a fight with them to get prescriptions filled. They are never on the ball, often don't have things ready when needed, and often lose information about prescriptions. Seriously pick any other pharmacy.

  • Atef K

WORST pharmacy in all of OTTAWA, it is one thing to have bad customer service, but it is another thing to make patients suffer due to LACK of professionalism. And for some Pharmacists to make life hard for people seeking medication is the pinacle of unethical behavior.

  • Shannon Hoops-Ripley

They are overworked, understaffed and understandably grumpy. After asking me if I could wait until tomorrow (pretty sure everyone knows you can’t wait on an infection), she realized they hadn’t ordered any amoxicillin…one of the most standard antibiotics. Unbelievable.

  • Doug Tanner

No one at the pharmacy answers the phone, called 3 times on different days to see if they had the vaccine. Recorded message mentions walk-ins, but when I finally just walked over to ask in person they told me no walk-ins book on website. ANSWER YOUR PHONE.

  • Meghan Dailey

A year into the pandemic and the pharmacist isn't wearing her mask on her mouth or nose. Service was also shockingly terrible and unprofessional, but shouldn't a health "professional" know the rules and shouldn't the corporation be enforcing them??

  • Tibby Tiberius

Every single time I get a prescription filled the people behind the counter they ignore you even though they know you are there. I have had to actually say that I know they see me then they react. Customer service is non existent in the pharmacy.

  • Angela W

Extremely disorganized pharmacy. Prescriptions were wrong and I had to wait almost an hour for them to correct it. Usually questions are asked prior to filling, this was not the case. A second script now has to be requested from my doctor.

  • Roger Fire

The employees are not helpful , if you ask them for help they won't come and also I asked the pharmacy there to help me find a cream she answered me like I'm a doctor and I know everything in the store ...in the end they are so rude .

  • Latif Ahmed

The pharmacists and their assistants have provided excellent service to my uncle who was their client for over 25 years. I truly appreciate the care and compassion that they have shown to my elderly uncle over all these years.

  • Christina K

Stopped in to fill a prescription for a friend of mine and was impressed with the service I received, I waited no more than 10 minutes for the prescriptions and Diane(Dianna) was extremely helpful! Great customer service!

  • Andrea Emery

The rudest, most awful pharmacy experience of all time. Pharmacist filled the wrong prescription, argues with you, is short and rude, like he is doing you a favour. Horrible experience, go anywhere else but here.

  • Amanda Hartwick

The pharmacist was quiet rude towards me after I asked a simple question. This is not the first time I have had a bad experience with the pharmacy at this place. I find them to be very rude and unprofessional.

  • Anonymous

Why even have a cashier if she's going to roll her eyes and tell me there's a self checkout. When you have a long line, and the self checkout needs an associate to remove an item anyways, what's the point?

  • Denie Espina

Very rude pharmacy staff. I was asking a simple question to clarify some of my prescription information and the man on the phone sounded extremely agitated. Find another pharmacy and pass on this one.

  • Jordan Cere

Unreliable service, showed up for a booster appointment but they were gone, no notification. Prescription missing, to later be found (several days later), after a replacement was already called in.

  • Thaise Mota

Pharmacy customer service is very poor at this location. I called for simple questions about vaccine appointments and they were very rude and insulting. I'm not going back there ever again.

  • A- M-S

Very bad customer service. Rude, slow to take care of you, you place an order but never the item.... twice. Hopefully you don’t pay before getting your drug. Pass before having a nightmare.

  • Malvika Agarwal

Great customer service! The pharmacist was super helpful and nice and even made accommodations for my prescription. I felt very welcome at this pharmacy and would definitely go back again!

  • Shawn Levesque (StockSlave)

PHARMACY = 3 STAR OUT OF 5 The pharmacy really needs to remove all the items on that top shelf so they can --->ACTUALLY SEE THEIR CUSTOMERS WAITING<---, more than once they walk away to

  • Dave Weekes

Rude and condescending pharmacy staff. Was told that "every minute I spend with you pushes everything else back a minute" . Still waiting for blood pressure medication after 5 days.

  • Armaan Toor

The pharmacist here is very helpful. He provided excellent service, answered all my questions, and made the entire prescription process smooth and efficient. Highly recommended!

  • Stefan McKenna

This Rexall store at Wellington & Parkdale has acceptable stock , reasonable wait times and pleasant cashiers and no doubt the neighbourhood relies on its presence.

  • Emad Hamdan

Pharmacy has the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. Rude and derogatory staff. Never again coming back and I highly recommend you get your medication elsewhere.

  • Dave Wilson

People need medications and I show up two days later and it’s not ready. Then I show up 3 days later and it’s not ready. Please get stuff ready that people need!

  • Alis Rain

Had a really difficult time getting my medication. This place seems very unorganized. I feel for the staff who are trying their best. Needs better management.

  • Diana Erwin

Went into the pharmacy yesterday and the pharmacist was so nice and really friendly, I felt so welcomed! Definitely I will be going there all the time now.

  • Sonya Sehgal

I have been here twice when I was in the area and needed a quick something like water or a snack. The staff I dealt with were nice and efficient!

  • Charles Hoppner

Rude, unprofessional pharmacists who clearly hate working here, everything is overpriced. Worth the reduced hours to go literally anywhere else

  • Jesse Curuvija

Always Late, Rude staff, Do not recommend getting your prescriptions here. The front store itself is fine but the actual pharmacy is awful.

  • Alainna H

Pharmacists are rude and incompetent, they've frequently lost prescriptions that were faxed over. I'd recommend any pharmacy over this one

  • Mary Sarsfield

I love this place. The pharmacists are very caring and really take the time to explain everything. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

  • RL RL

Nothing wrong with this Rexall. Staff are super friendly. Pharmacy team are very helpful. It is just a tight shop with narrower aisles.

  • Taz Tancredi

Very rude and incompletent staff. I think I'm going to transfer to a other pharmacy as they cannot resolve my issue or take it serious.

  • Carlos Abasto

Excellent customer service. The staff is helpful and efficient. Sue the cashier was very friendly and professional. Great team work!!!

  • Ben Burchett

They are consistently late filling prescriptions, they “lose” prescriptions frequently and they tend to be unpleasant to deal with.

  • Dean Goodwin

Very disorganized... Waited on hold 20 minutes told Rx was ready for pm pickup...was not ready told to come back again next day....

  • Andrea Villeneuve

It takes forever to get prescriptions filled and the pharmacy staff are not helpful in putting things through on insurance.

  • Emily Gooding

Most of the staff are very helpful! Prices are high, but the pharmacy is conveniently located with lots of parking.

  • Tony Nguyen

Worst pharmacy I've dealt with. Called 3 times over the course of 2 months to get my prescription filled out.

  • Suzy Juneau

The staff, both at the front and especially in the pharmacy are knowledgeable, professional and very helpful.

  • Robbie and Kimberly

Everyone is awesome and friendly, always do their best to accommodate me which is getting rare nowadays!

  • Kaitlyn Kristy

A small place. Neat & clean. The staff is okay. But the service is awful. Need to improve a lot.

  • Keyvan

Ok for snacks and other little things, but I would suggest AVOIDING the pharmacy if you can.

  • Marie-France Denis

Horrible customer service. Cashiers are rude and don't care. Don't bother going there.

  • Sara Rose

The staff are all very nice but they frequently make mistakes with my prescriptions.

  • Eric Dodds

Convenient and great hours for satisfying that late night craving for chocolate

  • Romeo Graham

Handy, friendly, and well-staffed local pharmacy. Small aisles make it cosy!

  • Jackie

I like Rexall better than Shoppers, especially this one in the neighborhood

  • L “Layla” G

1 star for the pharmacist who prefers to talk on her phone then help people

  • Mirna

Bad and unprofessional service at the cash (the store not the pharmacy)!

  • Jon F

Typical neighbourhood pharmacy. Carries most of your daily essentials.

  • Kasey Ferguson

The front cashiers are great but the pharmacy is beyond brutal.

  • Fam account

Okay for shopping but the pharmacy has too much to keep up on!

  • Hennessa F

Rude pharmacy, rather drive 10 mins than walk 1 mins there.

  • Lauren Whitten

Small space but good for what I needed to get. Great staff.
