I just wanted to make a formal complaint about a gentleman that was working on the Hornsby Kmart Customer Service Deck at approx. 5:10pm on 01/06 - His name was Gagan. I selected some photos to be printed the early morning of 1/6, paid for them with a lovely young lady who helped me with this process of using the Kiosk machines. After I paid I asked her when they would be ready , she said as I didnt pay for Priority printing no later then tomorrow, however, to pop back after 5 pm to see if they were done if not come back the next day. As I work in Westfield only a few shops away I though this was a great idea so when I finished work at 5 pm when to the Customer Service Desk to see if they had been completed. Gagan served me, and I mentioned that I hadn't paid for priority however the young ladyI spoke to this morning said to pop back and check as they may be it just wasn't 100% as they could get busy during the day and there was no harm in asking. Without even looking through the photo's Gagan said "No there not ready come back tomorrow", I questioned him as to how he would know this with out even looking for my photo's and asked again "Can you please have a look for me". In a huff, he walked off to check through the pile of photos on the back desk behind him and my photo's were in fact ready! Without even saying "Hey, you photos are ready" Gagan responded with "Well I'm going to charge you the priority service fee because you collecting them early". I questions Gagan as to why he would charge me extra for collecting photo's I had already paid for that were completed early. In no way did I insist they needed to be done it was merely as stop in as suggested by another staff member that helped me earlier that day. He repeatedly argued that it was Kmarts policy to charge customer's the priority service fee if collecting early, regardless of whether they were ready or not. Absolutely disgusted with the way he carried himself and the way he spoke to me I asked to speak to a manager on duty for the afternoon and he responded, "Well this time you can have them, but next time I will make sure you get charged the Priority service fee". This is a disgusting representation of the Hornsby Kmart's "Customer Service Deck" as there was absolutely no Customer Service offered at all. Gagan carried himself in such a re-vaulting manor in which he should not represent Kmart on there Customer Service Deck should you take pride the the Customer Service aspect of your business. I will make sure I do my shopping online or at other stores from now on as this is just appalling. Regards,

Went to print a few photos. The kiosk was rubbish and couldn't read quite a few photos. I asked the staff for a cable (it's an option for load pictures) since the wifi option was not properly working. he told me they don't like using them because it's a hassle or something for them. The guy was quite rude and dismissive- I asked him 3 questions at different times and he was unhelpful and made me feel stupid when it was the machines fault and never offered to help. I spent literally 40 minutes trying to load the photos multiple times - photos which I already had downloaded and ready in a folder on my phone. To finally checkout and when the order processed finally and I received my receipt he asked me if I was sure I did everything correctly which I did and he said it never came up on the screen for him to print. He was so rude and unhelpful and I never got my photos. Which is fine, technical issues happen but I wasted 40 mintues of my time to try and print stuff out which was wasted and not even cared for and the guy was rude. Just go to an actual printing shop or office works. (i was there around 5pm and the store was quiet - I was pretty much the only one in the printing area) and hire staff who will be helpful and nice.

In a time where sanitation and cleanliness are paramount, it is disheartening to witness a lack of attention to these fundamental aspects within the store.

Unbelievable! I bought a coffee grinder on line - it didn't work and a shopping bag on wheels that had a part missing when they both arrived. I rang customer service - the guy obviously did not care about my faulty products and was so disinterested he told me to go to the store and that was it. I bought on line because I don't want to go into the store, but that is what I had to do to get the faulty goods exchanged. Not only that but I had to have a refund that takes 5 days to reappear in my bank account and I had to find the replacements myself and pay for them!!!! I do not know why I couldn't just exchange them!!! Online shopping isn't killing Aussie retailers - Retailers are killing retail stores with bad service delivered by staff that just don't care and are not interested! If they were paid based on performance maybe that would change their attitudes - just shocking!!!

However the woman at the front (who checks receipts) occasionally targets people and demands to see receipts (I have been targeted and I have seen other people such as school students, and young adults) and it is very embarrassing! There are definitely nicer ways to go about this especially as many people don’t remember to grab their receipt! She made me walk all the way back to the middle of the store to ask a worker if I had left me receipt on my register. Not fun at all :(

Very very disappointed with Kmart today ...phoned last night to enquire about purchasing a hard cat carrier from Hornsby - was told there was no stock. Online it showed North Rocks store as having stock. Drove there today and was told by customer support there were 2-11 on their system. After my husband and I had looked for a considerable amount of time I returned to customer support who then contacted his Manager and was told...oh sorry this happens. We seem to have no stock. I did question the effectiveness of this system and was then advised to try online. Not willing to be given yet further run around I ended up purchasing from Big W. Not happy with 2 hrs lost out of my day for inaccurate information provided by “the systems”. No ticks or stars today Kmart!

Due to my Shopping Experiences lately I would not rate Kmart too highly!! The other day I was in Kmart & for the 2nd time, there is a Man who enters the Store riding an Electric Scooter!! I was standing looking at something & he shot straight past me going fast making a "Beeline" for the back of the Store! Is there ever any Staff around?? This is really dangerous & he should not be allowed to ride this "Scooter" in the Store! There should be a "Door-Person" from the time that the Store opens who will prevent People like this coming into the Store who could actually cause a very bad Injury to someone if they are run into!! Also , please get more Staff on to serve Customers. We all do not want to use the "Self-Serve" check-outs.

Been going to this Kmart since the 80’s. Back when it used to have a Cafe and sold guns. YES GUNS Today’s version of the store is like a mega $2 with always something interesting to find. It really has some super low prices and is a far better experience Vs the Target in Hornsby Westfield. This is where I buy my $5 Rubber Chickens that are usedin my YouTube videosOver the years I have come across some great staff and store managers. Sometimes the Thomas toy stock can suffer from empty peg syndrome but that shows me these little toys sell well. There used to be a time when the Thomas toys had a complete aisle but sadly that’s all history now

If your in Hornsby and you need to find a Kmart your in luck, it has a very general selection in products, although you may not find what you saw at another Kmart and the selection isn't full range. The Hornsby Kmart is more general stock and if your not looking for a specific item that is available for a short time, rather just anything in general then they do well there, plenty of fishing stuff, clothes are of a basic range but toys are ok if you have young kids, find some of em alright but again not any but still alright range. This isn't a large Kmart per say explaining why so don't think it's bad, it's just not a large one that's all.

Your typical large Kmart, with a large variety of kitchenware, cloths toys etc. , mostly "good value" - tending towards the inexpensive price range, while maintaining reasonable quality. We have recently needed to restock our kitchenware (due to an apartment move) and this store was a godsend. I also love the self-checkout (lots of terminals & staff on standby to help). Two points for improvement: first, keep an eye during the self checkout, because sometimes it might miss a sale (the staff usually refunded me with no problem). Second point, it's hard to find staff members who know where to locate items around the store.

We’re at Kmart Westfield Hornsby last Sunday looking for a rug which the website says available in-store but not. But instead of two, I’m giving you guys a four star because of the two staffs who helped us. The friendly lady who I wasn’t able to see the name and Jesse who she called to help us. The rug we want is nowhere to be found. But, Jesse showed us the other stores where we could possibly find it and told us to call the store first and confirm it’s there. He set expectations. I appreciate his effort, kindness and helpfulness. I also appreciate how the staffs are now starting to smile more often.

I always enjoy shopping at this store. It’s always tidy and has a lot of stock (unless there’s a global pandemic shortage…one one escapes!). A big shout out to Kels at customer service. He’s helped me on two separate occasions and both times has been incredibly kind, friendly and knowledgable. Whilst waiting in the customer service line, I’ve seen a lot of overly rude customers interact with Kels (e.g. returning clothes with no tags or receipts……!), he doesn’t let their rudeness phase him and continues doing a brilliant professional job. He is a total asset to the team.

Its Kmart... The staff is friendly enough, and always helpful when you're there. Products advertised are there. Bit annoying that some items confirmed abaikable in store, aren't available for click and collect. I also hate the registers being in the middle of the store. Its annoying and obstructive to the flow of your shop. Copious amounts of their workers flood the clearly marked "no smoking" areas outside the Westfield doors to spark up...like, cross the street at least, eh? Overall, its Kmart. Pretty unremarkable store. Few issues, but its alright.

2nd or 3rd time I've been here and typically the store is tidy and organised. Weird layout but ok once you find your way around, the only annoying thing is this check out system in the middle which requires double handling of goods or receipts at the door. Seriously, how can anyone come up with this concept for a non boutique or speciality store. Kmart would almost be a Fast moving consumer goods store. It's certainly no Myer or David Jones and should stop pretending or trying to be.

Whenever I go to Kmart with my daughter. Asian lady who is always at the door is very rude to us. Always wants to check my hand bag and my daughter's school bag. But she lets everyone else walk out. This is school kids from Barker who have huge school bags n she lets people with prams go and trolleys with out checking there things. She told my few times to empty my bag. This women needs to be put off or needs training in customer service. Very rude person she is.

Excellent place to go to lose one's will to live. Excellent selection of rubbish-quality bins for rubbish that were all broken and dented on the salesfloor. Perhaps Kmart is selling performance art instead of rubbish bins. Then I would give them maybe 2 stars. Firing all the clerks, putting the checkout in the stupidest possible place, having atrocious quality and atrocious inventory policies. It is certainly living up the Kameapart name.

Look it's a modern Kmart. It used to be incredible, as one of those open 24 hour locations, but since the reshuffle the oddly located registers (why in the MIDDLE of the store for heaven's sake?) And while I understand that is not feasible to stay open non stop, it was really the only differentiator to other Kmarts. There's nothing much unusual it different, but the day the registers are at the entrance again can't come too soon

Do not use click and collect. Awful experience and zero customer service. They changed the size of the clothes I had bought online, didn't bother replying to my request to revise the order to the actual sizes I had ordered. Can't get through to a call centre rep. Pathetic and useless. Never will I order anything. It's not rocket science, just a few freaking tshirts. How could anyone get this wrong!?

The new layout of the shop is an utter disaster. If at the checkout (which is in the middle of the shop) is scanned incorrectly, you then have to go to the extreme back of the shop to get anything done about it. Gone are the days where you could run in and out quickly. Also gone are the days you could find anything, so many lines have been discontinued and the quality of merchandise is very poor.

There was an older indian descent lady checking vaccination status. She made everyone wait in the line to check. I had mine ready to flash it at her. She got angry because I was too quick for her. The way she did it was totally inefficient. People are on their lunch breaks. They don't have time for you to fluff around. If you can't keep up with a fast paced environment, don't work in retail

Came in today . Guy named Brendan was so rude to me think he was having a bad day . Don't take it out on yiur customers mate. I still said to him are you having a bad day mate cheer up. This is pretty much your stock, standard KMart. Having said that, that's the reason I go there. When I need cheap stuff that works without being over-priced, it's just fine. Good home-maker section for crockery, cutlery etc and a decent clothes sections for cheap, casual dressing - easy for socks and jocks etc. Cheap prices and easy parking here most of the time. What's not to like?

Went to Kmart Hornsby at around 1:30pm and the checkout machine wasnt working. An indian appearance supervior came and fix the issue. No talking, no smiling. She just fixed and went away. Since when Kmart changed like this? She needs to get some serious training how to greet customers and not being no facial expression as if they are doing some kind of favour for customers.

I came into Kmart Hornsby wanting to buy a Set of Lego Ninjago for my younger brother . The item was not in stock online and was not to be seen on the shelf in the Lego section. I approached Samdro the Department Manager who was so lovely and kindly went out the back to get me the Lego set. I will continue to shop at this store as I appreciate this young man’s service.

While I don't expect much from Kmart I was still thoroughly disappointed by the experience my wife and I shared shopping here. The lady in the fitting rooms Kay something was a snarky unpleasant, unhelpful woman. She grimaced when my wife asked her a question, didn't answer it and complained about her job to us. I can't recall more disgusting service in a fitting room.

Employee called Gagan accused me of attempting to steal, just for trying to claim flybuys on a previous transaction. I already paid for my goods a few days before. Humiliating me in front of other customers was definitely unnecessary. Could've just told me to do it online/call flybuys directly and leave it at that. Other staff are normally friendly.

Big store, lots of options from party stuff, clothes, photos, gardening. Pretty well laid out, gets busy but the checkout moves fast. Could do with more floor staff to help find things and answer questions. Easy parking in Westfield, but look for the entrance marked for Kmart otherwise it can be a bit of a walk! No more Covid restrictions on entry!

Great place for a quick shopping visit to pick up some essential item that you need. I am not sure whether the Hornsby store is larger than Chatswood store but it is certainly well stocked. That is the reason why we went to the Hornsby store; to get something that Chatswood had run out of. Other than that it is a regular Kmart store.

Bought a couple of glass cups and when I went home, I dropped one on the carpet. BROKEN! Even though the utensils were inferior I obviously found the toys pleasing. I liked this shop because many of the products were cheap. Anyway, my son pleaded me to buy him an enormous set of LEGO but I got it for less than $80! This shop is OK.

Looking for 2 Xlarge dog beds, they were on the website so checked in store information and yes both said in stock inshore at hornsby. Drove up and could only find one of them in store. So one out of 2 not great but got to be happy with that. Still have to find another one when all other stores close say sold out or low stock.

I received an incorrect item via delivery. I was told I'd have to come into replace it, they refused to do a refund. I'd also have to request that the store closest to me get it in stock myself. Incompetent, unwilling to fix their mistakes and unhelpful with rectifying it. Genuinely useless. PSA, just don't order online.

Shopped here for the first time in ages for clothes. It always puzzles me why they have the spot to pay in the middle of the shop. The clothes were exceptional value and will do be for another 3+ years. Not back for under $150. Got two pairs of chinos, 6 x V-Neck T-Shirts, Shoes and Underwear. Very good value.

No staff from what I could see over 16. I tried calling the store 6 times in 1 hour no answer . No stock half the shelf are bare . I spoke with the young girl at the checkouts , when I gave her my feedback about my disappointment she rolled her eyes .Save yourself the time don't go especially at night time .

If you're on a tight budget (first time home owner or similar), it's a great place to get bits and pieces. The quality is usually good for the money and there's not much they don't sell, plus it's open ridiculously long hours (10pm every night), so if you need something urgent it's really handy.

I really loathe having the checkout in the centre of the store. What's the point? When I depart through the exit, even with a shopping trolley full of unbagged shopping, whenever the staff standing there asks to check receipt I always respond without slowing down "no thanks". Same at JBHiFi.

8/10 times the stock is low, there is at tops 1 person serving and I've even witnessed a 5 minute period at the checkout where there was no staff at all and people had self serve errors and had to wait. Just get it online, no reason to enter this trash heap.

Honestly taking away dvds and not habing much in your arts section isnt what i call a great Kmart. Also the lack of Halloween gear and lack of easter things disappoints me. However majority of the staff at the checkouts and layby area are wonderful

Affordable with a wide range of good products like homewares, clothing, stationery, snacks & lollies. However i don't really like the new layout with the checkout in the middle. The change rooms are nice and spacious and have doors without gaps.

The store is really good. With a vide variety. The elderly lady who is in charge of the changing room is VERY bitter and unwelcoming. We always try to avoid going to the changing room and because of her we don't buy much clothes from this store

It is one of the larger stores and is well stocked. It is also very popular so you cannot always create social distances and they have the standard mask and log-in procedures so you should be safe and the staff are courteous and helpful.

Shot out to an employee who packed this magnetic board without its pen. Actually wasting his time, store time, courier time and buyer time to go back and replace the item. The pen is so easily visible so surely it was done on purpose.

Great Kmart with helpful staff and reasonable price. After scanning a Lego and paying for it, the old gentleman came and took it away then unlocked the item for me, I don't have to ask for it. He s a really good staff.

Hornsby Kmart is an excellent place to go for cheap cookery, appliances, bedding, furniture, and clothing. While you may find better quality elsewhere, Kmart makes up for it in price and selection.

I always enjoy going to Kmart, this store is not the largest Kmart though and some items may sell out fast. However it still has a large variety of items and are generally kept very tidy and neat.

Rude staff at front entrance. Schoolies staff on the front door, no welcome from them. Clearly had no idea what they were doing but they badly need some customer service training & some manners.

Kmart Hornsby is good but I find it can sometimes struggle for stock of items a bit, I have found it necessary to visit other Kmarts to find specific items at times. Otherwise very good though.

Good Kmart with full range and wide open aisles. Late hours if you need something desperate. Toy range pretty solid (large girls range)although often experience sell outs of "hot" items.

Well stocked Kmart catering to Hornsby and surrounding areas. Can be crowded at times. A little bit of planning as to when to visit Kmart can make the shopping experience smooth.

Wide range of products. There are a lot of counters available so there's not much queuing. Love their sports and shoe range which is good for just everyday use.
