If I could give 0 stars I would! This Practice is disorganised, lack empathy, care, is unprofessional and is a complete disaster! My mum passed away suddenly last month after being a patient for 45 years at this practice. She had seen a Dr at the practice 1 week beforehand. The doctors refused to sign a death certificate despite Police requests and pressure applied by them for the Practice to do so. They decided to put it onto the Coroner but also failed to lodge any paperwork. 4 days after mums death the Coroner had nothing from them and it took me 3 distraught phone calls to get a response from them which was "We have done everything we need to and the doctor had to wait 45 minutes to talk to the coroner to confirm this." (I had waited 25 minutes just to talk to receptionist the first phone call, 4 hours later I phoned them back to find out what they were doing and was reassured that someone would phone me back in an hour, yet I phoned them back again to try to get a response!!!) The Police referred to the Practice as 'obstinate' and of no help whatsoever, the Coroners department were dumfounded by Walton Bridge's unprofessional attitude and lack of care towards mum and her family and the long running and well known funeral home had NEVER come across anything like this before from a Doctors Surgery! My sister(also a patient there - but has since moved to a new Practice) and I were in complete shock and were extremely saddened after our mother's passing however what we had to go through because of Walton Bridge Medical Centre made the whole process of losing mum so much more distressing!

Very disappointed with this clinic. Have been going for years to see Dr Sondegeld, our family doctor. But I had moved away from the area and haven't been back for a few years. My kids still see Dr Sondegeld. I drove a long way today in school pickup traffic about 55 minutes driving. Yes I was 10 minutes late. Never been late ever before because I used to live local. I needed urgent advice about my heart condition and was really looking forward to consulting with my old family doctor. But no, they decided after only 10 minutes late that I was considered a no show and fine me $20 and cancelled My appointment. I had to leave and drive back 55+ minutes. Many times I have arrived early at this clinic and waited 10, 15, and sometimes 20 minutes for the doctor to be ready. Very disappointed with this clinics money grabbing attitude! I Will never go back here ever.

Very good medical Centre. If you can’t get an appointment with your normal GP, they will do their best to get you another Dr, to look after you! We highly recommend Walton Bridge Medical centre. The reception staff are very good as well, they are always very helpful, and have been to my husband and I for years. Dr Norris is our GP and my husband and I are very lucky to have had him look after us for years now. Over the years the visits have gone up, just like everything else has, but it does make me think twice about making an appointment as the Medicare rebate is not much really! My wife and I needed to have our ‘over75’ medical certificates completed and our usual doctor was not available within the necessary timeframe. Hence, we were assigned to Dr Miranda Coleman’s list of appointments and we are really pleased this occurred. Miranda was very thorough in taking the steps required for this task. Added to this, Miranda treated us in a most pleasant manner. We are really glad we have had the opportunity to meet her. Her interpersonal skills are excellent. Ross MacDonald

Receptionists are attrocious, taking forever to answer calls & attend to patients. I have had many lost pieces of correspondence - referrals not sent, and correspondence from specialists not forwarded to my GP. I book online and take copies of all correspondence myself as assume it will probably be lost. Also they rarely bulk bill, despite being eligible. Doctor's medical skills seem good, and accepts guidance on paperwork that I need.

My family and I have attended WBMC for the last 10 years and have generally found the GPs to be excellent. Of course, there have been some not so great experiences but at the time of writing this post, I’m very happy with this centre. The reception staff are friendly, the nurses are lovely and we will continue our family’s care at WBMC. (One star off for the couple of un-helpful doctors we have seen across the years)

Dr Siobhan Lingard is amazing. I couldn't get into our regular GP practice at a time that I needed to make a decision on whether to put my Mum with comorbidities into palliative care. I booked the only GP appointment I could get. Dr Siobhan took the time we needed and was kind, thoughtful and gave us super advice both medical and advance care considerations. I was very impressed with the depth of her knowledge.

Needed to organise a phone consultation for my mother but, there were none available for today. However the receptionist was very friendly and helpful and said she'd let me know if there were any cancellations. Later, she called me back with a cancellation and my mother was able to speak with her doctor and organise what she needed. Many thanks to the receptionist and Dr Shane Sondergeld. Much appreciated.

My husband and I have had a wonderful relationship with Walton Bridge Medical Center for 56 years. After shifting from The Gap to Keperra and after my husband's death, I still maintain that relationship. The doctors, nurses and receptionist staff have always treated me with great respect and excellent professionalism. I am deeply grateful for their caring and kindness. Estelle Goldburg.

Is give zero but can’t! It is impossible to get an appointment I’ve been trying since Wednesday! Yesterday I was told to call first thing.. between 8 and 8:10 I got a message saying the center was closed.. checked website and said they opened at 8:30.. called at 8:30 and all todays appointments are gone! What a disgraceful service. Long time resident and frustrated register patient!

Dr Julia Szabo is an excellent GP. I travel to the practice to remain a patient under her care. The practice is well run and I like the online booking system. There are good alternative GPs on the rare occasion that I require such. Thoroughly recommend this practice.

Since Smartclinics have taken over this practice the admin has become appalling. Getting through on the phone is as bad as trying to contact centrelink. A firm appointment made a week ago is half an hour wait beyond time - a phone call would have been nice.

Very impressed with this medical centre. Having recently moved from interstate I was nervous about finding a new doctor. All the reception staff made me feel special and suggested a doctor who was able to look after me. Very professional and caring

This supposed to be a family clinic for the The Gap residents. With many young families with new born babies. It is pathetic that the greedy doctors who practice here chose not to offer bulk billing when treating new born babies and toddlers.

I was given no confidence to even make an appointment with how little care or knowledge of any of the doctors was offered by receptionist. For a private paying clinic; that is totally disappointing even if the doctors might be good.

Amazing! The wait times for scheduling appointments and right before the appointment in the waiting room are very good. The service was good. Dr Sondergeld was excellent and patient extracting wax from the ears of little kids.

The doctors here are fantastic. However, the service from reception staff is well below average. They never answer the phone and I have had several experiences with the reception staff making very inconvenient mistakes.

Walton Bridge Medical Centre is now called SmartClinics Walton Bridge Medical Centres have been serving the people of The Gap, Ashgrove, Ferny Grove, Ferny Hills and the surrounding suburbs for the last 50 years.

Impossible to get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time, let alone with your preferred doctor. If you are ill or have a condition that needs to be seen within 2-3 weeks, look elsewhere for medical care.

So glad you have rebranded back to the good old Walton Bridge Medical Centre. I have been attending for 50+ years now and I love that the GP’s have been there forever. Obviously a great surgery to work at!

Walton Bridge Medical is a great GP! All of the Dr's I've seen have been excellent and they provide useful information about how to minimise the use of antibiotics. This practice doesn't over prescribe!!

Really disappointed. My friend has been going to this doctors centre since 1973.she is now in her 70's. We waited 33 minutes to try to speak to a receptionist and ended up hanging up. What's going on?

Always a comfortable atmosphere, welcoming staff at reception who are pleasant and helpful. Doctors come out and call you by name and escort you to their office. A highly recommended practice.

Reception staff are very helpful and friendly. There is a full range of clinical care and services. The Doctors are friendly and professional. Generally no wait for an appointment.
