So disappointed. The menu is too expensive for the location and the outdoor tables were disgustingly dirty. I had to ask the waitress to wipe it off because even my kids were grossed out. The meals were about $5 more than market price for Ahwatukee and my chicken sandwich was a half a chicken breast, cut vertically to hide the fact that I was getting half. It came on an appetizer plate with some fries for $17. Kids meals are also overpriced. Even the happy hour wine was clearly opened days ago, tasted bad, and overpriced. Finally, there was a questionable patron walking in and out of the restaurant and parking lot and lingering behind our table and several others (at 5:15 pm on a Monday). I wouldn’t have mentioned this but even my 10 year old son noticed, brought it up me, and was worried that the person was unstable. I rarely leave a review but I don’t want others dealing with this.

So this is hard for me because I really want the vine to succeed but in order for them to succeed they have to know exactly what people are thinking the food was good as expected the drinks however we're just extremely poor and we typically do mixed drinks like Manhattan's and a few others and it was just really really bad, AND this was the same over two different visits. I think this might be some of the growing pains with the new location and again I want them to succeed but if I don't tell the truth it'll hurt more than help. The wait staff needs to get some system on how they help tables, take orders, and also monitor those DRINKS "SIR WOULD YOU LIKE ANOTHER?" don't lose revenue, same goes for water glasses. The hostess was the absolute best. For us seated with special requests, right away, and let our server know we're were in a rush for some of our party who had to eat and leave. She was probably only 16 or 17 but did a great job!!! GO VINE!!! GO!!!

So overall the vine is really a good place to go the food is tasty we've always had really good service my complaint is with the high ceiling and everything exposed it's very loud even when the place is not very full... And it's really echoey. Plus the TVs are all around the perimeter and I think they should have some dropping down from the middle of the ceiling that would do two things it would quite the place up a little bit because you'd have sound buffers dropping down from the ceiling and also have everybody closer to a television. But on positive note we have had amazing service when we've gone there especially from a server named Madison she remembers what we drink even what our boys drink she'll recall what we had the time before and we are not regulars. Very friendly young lady and very very good at her job. The food is really good too!

Above average food, for a tavern... But portions are ridiculously small for the prices. Definitely not worth it. What sincerely bothers me is the amount of nickel & diming on an already overpriced menu. A couple of dollars here and there to make pretty simple requests like splitting sauces on wings, or making an order to-go. It's like the Spirit airlines of pub food. Beer is pretty overpriced too. Compared to all the other burger and wing places in Ahwatukee, I've never felt quite as ripped off as I have here. Probably not coming back, even though it's 2 minutes from my house.

Dangit! I used to love The Vine. I grew up at The Vine. And I really want to love this one closest to my neighborhood but man, what happened to the wings?! They're tiny! And super expensive. $16 for a dozen wings? Plus $1.39 for split wing flavors? Even the happy hour wings are almost a dollar each. And who cuts the celery into 1-inch bite size pieces? It was just so weird. $11 for tater tots? I was blown away. Happy hour drinks and daily specials aren't bad and we enjoyed talking to the people at the bar but man, I have to say I'm bummed about the food and prices.

They have dollar drink nights twice a week, which can't be beat. The staff are always pretty friendly; though on said dollar drink nights, the wait can be a bit long. If you're on the patio, you're definitely going to want to just go to the bar to get proper drink service. The music isn't the best - usually some sort of trashy hip-hop/top 40 mashup garbage, instead of proper party music, "MIX" it up, at least a bit more. The food is you're average fried bar food - the wings are the standout item on the menu for me. If you want wi-fi you're best bet is to walk to the nearest starbuck's, cause you're not getting any internets here.

My wife and I visited on 3/26 around 2pm. Nice, spacious, clean looking bar which was decidedly quiet for a lunchtime. Nobody really seemed interested in helping us and we had to go to the bar to ask if we should sit somewhere. When the waitress arrived, I asked her what she recommended. She told me, “We are known for our wings”. When they came out, they were the smallest wings I have ever seen in my life. Highly disappointing. We had to visit another restaurant afterward for more food. After paying $70 at Vine we were still hungry

If you are at ASU, then this is your go to dive bar. Way cheaper than Mill Ave. However, they are very good at spitting fakes, ones I wouldn't even be able to tell were fakes, so only try if you want to lose yours. Cheap beer, cheap Irish bar food, and a smoking patio. Specials, including dollar you call its, Monday and Wednesday, and Karaoke night Thursday, all of those can be loud and crowded. Tuesdays are dead, but perhaps that is what you seek. Irish stew to die for on St. Patty's Day, but not the rest of the year. Why, oh why. Would get that every time I came otherwise.

At the new Ahwatukee location. Don't know why it's not busier because the food is good and drunks are delicious. They also have a pretty amazing happy hour ($5 long island) and game day specials. Also!!---- if you pay in cash, it's cheaper!! I like it a lot and a great sports bar to add to the area.

Unique atmosphere you have to experience for yourself. Best drink specials in town on Wednesday night and even better wing deals on Tuesday. Best wings around, you can wash down the heat of the superhot wings with their house made apple pie shots. Their first location was in Iowa where I am from so this is a great place to catch a Hawkeye game!

Best staff ever!! We had a birthday party here and they killed it! We had so much help from the staff. They were extremely kind and helped with everything we needed. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quick bite with great atmosphere or someone who is looking to host an exquisite party/get together! Finally some place in tukee that is full of great vibes and friendly smiles! Definitely coming back for more!

I have just come from there to be honest with you i just parked my car for just 2 min to pick up food from the resturant around them and there is no warning signs there , i found a warning ticket on my drive window and i think i staff who work there put it in a way Intentionally to deforming the window glass, insted of doing that you can tell me with nice way i cant park in your own parking I will not recomend any body to go this place

  • Juan Hickman

The Vine is a sports bar with about a dozen, mostly none local beers, on tap. Menu has a good selection of appetizers and main dishes. Portions are large and fries were good, just like McDonald's. Most meals were about $12. The chicken wrap was good. The fish and chips were just OK. While there was a lot of fish, it was obviously not prepared on site. Service was excellent, on slow night. Decor was college bar.

  • Tye Thede

Long time fan of The Vine over the years. Our first time trying this new location in our neighborhood. Ordered a Monte Carlo Club sandwich to go (Turkey, ham, bacon, american, lettuce, tomato on sourdough). Got home, opened it up, 3 pieces of bacon, lettuce, tomato. That's it-for $17.00 Probably won't go back.

Ain't bad! This is a bar, or a tavern I should say, so expect tavern food. I got a sandwich from there, which was soggy, greasy, cheesy, and saucy. I am in no position to complain however... it's a bar! Maybe just eat before you go. Not much to say about the beer. The selection is good, and promotional prices are always welcome. I enjoy a pint or two of Guinness whenever I stop in.

  • Armed Burglar

Good place for drinks but the new locations food prices are ABSURD. Prepare to pay $17 for chicken tenders and fries… Also, a salad costs $18 and fried pickles cost you $11….. Go for drinks, avoid the food. Not sure what the owners were thinking other than trying to take advantage of the new neighborhood.

Lesson learned. The Reuben was AWFUL--like really bad--and it was on their website as a special for $11.99. They charged us $13.59 and argued about it. The menu is rather uninventive, especially in the burger area. The server was good and beer was a decent value, but there are SOOOO many other sports bars in the area with way better food and more interesting beer selection.

  • Bridget Graff

DO NOT GO TO THIS BAR!!!!!! My son went with friends and they had too much to drink so he left his car and took uber home- being responsible. The damn bar had his car towed!!! Cost him $180 to get it out of the impound!!! If a car is left behind clearly they couldn't drive! You should be thankful for having customers not driving after you served them too much!!!!

  • Jenifer Turtschanow

This is a legit college bar. When going to this location, you aim should be to spend time with others, not awesome food or a clean atmosphere. The tables and chairs were all wobbly... It took several tries to find a chair I wasn't afraid I was going to crash to the ground in! Food is average bar food. Drink specials are awesome though!!!

Over 20 beers on tap, tons of drink specials, food combos, just a tad on the pricey side, but the place is big with plenty of games and things to do so it's an excellent place for groups. The only thing that's keeping it from five stars was that the food, while good, is nothing to write home about. But, good enough to go back.

A very friendly College neighborhood bar. Great drinks and wonderful food at a modest price. I've been going to this bar for the last 25 plus years, I have always had a great time when I'm there. It's like a home away from home thanks to the staff for being warm and inviting, see you again real soon.

Had to go here for a work-related event. I don't drink at work, but they only card the people who are drinking and leave the rest of us alone. I had a really good lemonade here and the spicy wings/nuggets were frickin' awesome. Nice environment and a great place to hang out with co-workers.

Itty-bitty, teeny-weeny, microscopic chicken wings have got to go!! They tasted fine, but I have never seen tinier wings in my life. Tell your supplier to shape up and bring you some full-size wings! THIS LOCATION IS PERMANENTLY CLOSED AS OF 23 JULY 2022.

We enjoyed ourselves very much. Bar maid was very attentive. We had Fish and Chips and Onion Rings with sweet potatoes fries. Everything was great. Super selection of things on TVs to watch. Got the customers talking to each other. Everyone WAS Social Distancing. Thank you for that.

  • Renee C

It's cool until they try to tow their customer's cars for parking in their parking lot within an hour of being there. Had to spend 30 minutes peeling a sticker off my windshield, and a tow truck was towing away a car next to me when I came out. Not even in the place for a damn hour.

  • Aaron Redd

Absolute !!! I had not been to Vine since 1996- yeah I said it- 1996!!! And the wings are just the way I remembered them back then! The four of us went through 60 wings! Hahaha I would give it more stars if I could. I took the trip from Goodyear. I'll be back again very soon. …

  • Michael Aguilera

The Vine Tavern used to be a very cool place with tons of customers when they had courteous bartenders and staff about a year+ ago. I don't know if the Vine has new owners but this place is practically empty now even on the weekends since the staff is very rude now.

  • Dhayanesh Velusamy

If you want some peace along with booze on the weekends, this is the place to go. Their apple pie shot is something you should try. The food is average and I do not have a clear picture of their operating hours. They tend to close if no one is coming in for a while.

not really a place to dine in and have dinner, more like a place to drink and chomp down some wings while drinking. If you are looking for a more casual dining experience I would say hit up the one on elliot. Still great wings and great selection of brews

  • Stoph Cusick

Great bar with a wonderful atmosphere. Has good food and is a nice spot to meet up with friends. Only downside is being next to ASU and can attract the unwelcomed drunk students. But overall, a great establishment with a welcoming vibe. Very enjoyable.

  • Shannon McKinnon

I came in with a group on a Saturday around lunch. The place was quiet and staff acted as if we were an inconvenience to be there. We ordered a pitcher, played a few games and were out. Did not order any food as no one came to check on us.

  • Brandon Tucker

This place is an excellent stop if you're in the mood for good bar food and really cheap drinks. They also have some arcade games, billiards and darts. I've been coming here for years and it still is one of my favorite places to hang out.

Best wings I've found in AZ. Tuesday is when they have their wing special. Kind of light on the sauce so ask for extra if you like you wings fully coated. This place was recently renovated and looks a lot better than it did.

  • Jacob Teragouchi

Cool little dive bar right by ASU Tempe campus. Classic spot during the year gets pretty popular a few days a week. They have really good food here too and it's very reasonably priced. There are pool tables and lots of tvs.

  • Rick Singh

This place is a gem. Pub fare food which is always good. Weathered pub with lots of tvs. Under staffed on the night we were there but the girl did a great job managed the place by herself. Lots of tvs and friendly staff.

  • Mark Rowsey

Try the wings. Very friendly staff. I love the aesthetic, kind of like a winter brick house. They don't have dessert but the do have alcohol that tastes like apple pie so I think that's good. Would totally recommend.

  • Dina Demara

Cheap beer. Great variety of wings. Food is a good pub food. Typical college hangout type of place. Pool tables. Easy to move tables to accommodate a large group. Very good at handling separate checks. Great service.

  • Mark Fahrenthold

I owe the owners and staff a huge apology. It's a great establishment, the employees go out of their way to accommodate. It is a great place to enjoy an evening of fun and entertainment. Wish them the best. Thanks!

  • Jon Hanson

I really like the atmosphere and beer selections they have on tap. Didn't get a chance to try any food, but typically if you're willing to fry then grill your wings you have a great recipe for success in my book.

  • Griffin Wiebel

The bartenders here are friendly and quick. Good atmosphere, great drinks, and fun games all around. This attracts a college crowd, but, for the times I've been there, the crowds have been friendly and awesome.
