"Some staff are rude and I feel like I am gonna get stabbed it just feels like a hostile inviroment in the air"
"Useful but expensive £10"
"4 stars because this is one of the closest places to home where I can get TFL into London"
"First my car got hit by someone and NcP said they had no CCTV footage of me going in the car park, despite that I park everyday at Upminster and I had my ticket dispplayed as I commute to London and despite the 10 cameras around the car park"
"I don't miss this place one bit! Endured the £10 per day parking charge for too many years, for a car park riddled with pot holes and speed bumps"
Some staff are rude and I feel like I am gonna get stabbed it just feels like a hostile inviroment in the air. ( If you get what I mean) When the WeAreFSVL I recomend taking the bus to Upminster bridge, west ham or barking so you can accually get into the station LOL. The only upside of the station is that you have 3 lines and most stations don’t have more than 1 (Exclueding LONDON TERMINALS, waterloo east) The 3 lines are C2C the station operator. London underground, district line and national rail line (Yes national rail) Overground.
Useful but expensive £10.30 if you are staying more than 4hrs for a car park far from central London. However good payment choices between RingGo App or a machine (white) at start of car park where yiu can pay directly for your stay. CCTV everywhere so hopefully your vehicle should be safe. P.s.: Don't park in staff area (written on the floor) or disable badge bays (if you are not entitled to it). You can top up your oyster card inside the station or buy an expensive day travel card.
4 stars because this is one of the closest places to home where I can get TFL into London. Car park seems to be OK however I have little confidence in its security. Parking bays are narrow and close together. I wouldn't take a car you are dear to here. One of the car parks where the whole keeping everything and the kitchen sink in the boot probably pays off. Anpr car park so keep an eye on your time allocation and be wary of train travel time back.
First my car got hit by someone and NcP said they had no CCTV footage of me going in the car park, despite that I park everyday at Upminster and I had my ticket dispplayed as I commute to London and despite the 10 cameras around the car park. I guess the cameras are for decoration. Second today they closed half of the parking without notice and there was no space, but they still allow you to buy a weekly ticket!!!
I don't miss this place one bit! Endured the £10 per day parking charge for too many years, for a car park riddled with pot holes and speed bumps. It has recently had ANPR installed and will fine you in a flash. Off-peak / overnight parking is cheaper I believe. Use it if you need it. It's like a ghost town these days, with plenty of empty space to avoid car doors opening into each other.
It's a convenient, if expensive, car park at the East end of the District line (& C2C). There was some construction work taking up spaces during Aug/Sept - this restricted access and meant that the car park was full shortly after 8am. It was possible to park in most side streets after 9.30am but restrictions have changed and beware that you don't get caught out and red the time plates.
Only one machine out of six working and the process if buying the ticket was so overly complicated that I had to give up after 5 attempts. Using the phone system was even worse, asking for car park codes and using a voice recognition system that was probably developed in the 18th century. Absolute dire service but captive customer base so they don't care anymore. Appalling.
What a farce how hard is it to pay no machines and a ridiculous app when your trying to get a train this world is messed up with unusable unfriendly technology needed to pay twice rip off Britain at its best I,d like to speak to the person who organised this ....fest because of the app then saying you can only park for 3 hours
Do not park here. No spaces and the ticket machine does not work correctly. I paid at the ticket machine and 5 weeks later get a letter claiming no payment and demanding £60. This happened twice. They have such a good photo of my car enterning and exiting that they must have me on camera paying at the machine.
Huge car park which is only £2.50 off peak for the days parking. IdeaI for day trips into London. I'm 1 stop away from Upminster and often drive here to park as it's also more than £4 cheaper by train for a day travel, using my contactless card which replaces the need to get an oyster card.
If you are parking off-peak, the prices are reasonable. However, the spaces are very very tight. They are obviously thinking about the number of cars they can fit in a small space as opposed to the service they are providing. I would hate to think how a wide car would fix in there.
>Small spaces. >Check prices as peak times are daylight robbery. >Often full but you don't find that out until you drive around for 5 minutes. >Upminster is very busy at peak times so allow extra time. >To the five star local reviewers.. have you ever been there?
Since all Upminster car park charges are operated by RingGo, I generally use the app but beware - this will cost you extra in the station car park. Also, the off peak rate doesn't come into effect until 10am by which time there may not be any spaces ☹️
I like Parking here from home when I’m heading in to London, the parking rate is perfect and easy access to the station, often difficult to find a parking spot and I worry my car will get scratched but it hasn’t happened and enjoy parking here
Couldn't get in the car park on a Saturday .. full up...West Ham playing...be prepared to have to find a space and walk a long distance back to the station. Overpriced like all station car parks. £3 off peak..30% rise over 3 years ...£8 peak!
What has happened to all the spaces? Construction equipment, a fenced off Covid testing area (still!) means number of places reduced considerably. RingGo parking works OK though....better than the old cash machines which always broke down.
C2C staff are not at all friendly. This is not one time experience that I am sharing. This has happened on multiple occasions when my c2c smart card was not detected at upminister train station. C2C customer service is so unprofessional
Spacious car park to assist commuters who drive to Upminister station to continue their journey into London. It is just few meters away from the station. Payment made easy by the payment machine put in place.
Such a good find to get into london, with a reasonably priced car park (where you can pay by machine or app) knowledgeable staff and a greggs near by! What more could you need!
Never a space, lots of work going on atm so very tight and again takes up all space, Parking in Upminster on a whole is painful, this seems to be the cheaper parking.
I enjoyed my dining experience at Cosmos. The ambience was great, and the interior decor, classy. I was in a large group, and we all gave Cosmos a big thumbs up.
A huge car park with very reasonable off-peak charges. The peak time parking is a lot more expensive (but in line with many other outer London stations).
The area is clean, easy access, there is also a shop which can accommodate your need. There is also a toilet which is maintained to be always clean.
Parking at reasonable cost but needs more spaces. No options in the area if car park full which it often is so have ended up driving into London.
Terrible place to park and go not user friendly at all had to use because of train not available at laindon Station which is much nicer …
Great alternative to Newbury Park and the Central line. Interesting to note the difference in spending on the two areas because of 2012...
parked for half an hour but had tp pay £4.50 for all day despite it being in the evening - daylight or in the case night time robbery!
Dive, very tight spaces when you can find one.VERY EXPENSIVE,if you have no option to use, take plenty of loose change or a credit card
What a shocking experience as a disabled driver. Not enough disabled bases (8 out of over 400). They often seem filled with vans!
Despite living in Clacton, if I need or want to go to London, we go via Upminster. As Ian Drury said I am an Upminster Kid.
Seems clear most days, spaces are sectioned and some are only available to season ticket holders. Pay machine easy to use.
Why does no ome manage the guys waiting picking up on double lines Causes issues every day yet nothing Blocks everything
Can go for a quick bite at Gregg's, WHSmith on site and a coffee shop in the platform. Few takeaways in the vicinity.
Lovely station, parking very close and good price, close to station have a pub, called junction good as well
Ideal and safe carpark to use whilst jumping on the c2c into London. Paying by phone can be a hassle.
This is one of the best train station car parks I've visited. Spacious and with reasonable prices.
Its a train station orher than its clean, over priced and has delays there is nothing else to say
Run by a company of thieves and cheats. Car park a staff issuing parking charges inappropriately
Close to the station, don't pay in advance, as I did, you may find there are no parking spaces.
Great parking for easy access to central London by underground without breaking the bank.
Reasonable priced and plenty of spaces. Easy to pay and top up via the app if needed.
Very expensive, 10 pounds a day for parking, only using when we get the train strikes
Parked here and went to London use the train. 3 quid all day Saturday well worth it
Sorry, but in my opinion, the Upminster (railway) station requires redevelopment.
The station is like every other station no exceptions. Small and easy to follow.
Ideal location to catch the train/underground in London. Reasonabley priced.
Helpful staff and suitable for the less abled and people with prams (lifts).
Bog standard station. Parking in the car park can be a bit of a nightmare
It could do with an upgrade, lots of potholes and lines need repainting.
Convenient location and my car was safe for 3 days. Usually quite busy.
Fantastic place to visit if your looking for somewhere to park a car.
Huge car park. Frequent trains to London. Also underground. Toilets!
Lots of spaces, saw a fox in the evening. Pay by phone or machine.
Very convenient for getting into London and not too expensive
Great prices after rush hour, and speedy into London
Used frequently - always plenty of available spaces.
Nice service and very good staff member Nice Station
Convenient and not too expensive. Seems secure too.
Rude staff, C2C has had it now with the new owners
Car park a pain as no one reads the road markings
Clean, spacious, although Loud mouthy families
Parking can be awkward but at least it has one
Typical railway station for overland and tubes
IT’s safe and have got plenty parking places.
Caught a train from a clean and tidy station
The staff are nice & friendly …
It's a train station not much else to say .
Gets full hard to read cash points at night
Easy to park and pay. Reasonable charges.
Last understand station of district line
Was issued wrong tickets and mosinformed
Busy, obviously a good shopping centre.
No where to park safely to pick up ....
