"Safe clean well marked and well lit parking for reasonable prices and in good location with access to high street and mall shops (overnight after hours pedestrian entrance on Thorold Road behind Wilko)"
"Doesn’t even deserve one star!!! Seriously what a joke! They installed a new system which is fine except the card machines stop working all the time and instead of acknowledging that this is their fault they make you go to the cash point to pay for it! Worst of all is that after 5"
"Prices start at £1"
"Parked on level 2"
I have been a regular visitor to the Exchange Mall in Ilford and have had a mixed bag of experiences. The mall boasts a variety of brand stores such as **H&M**, **Next**, **Sports Direct**, and **TK Maxx**, which is a definite plus. The availability of these popular brands makes it a one-stop-shop for all your shopping needs. However, there are areas where the mall could definitely improve. One of the main issues I've encountered is with the lifts. They seem to be out of order quite frequently, which can be a significant inconvenience, especially for those who have mobility issues or are shopping with small children. Cleanliness is another area that needs attention. A clean and tidy environment not only makes for a more pleasant shopping experience but also reflects on the overall image of the mall. Despite these issues, my overall experience has been satisfactory. I believe with some improvements in services, particularly in terms of maintenance and cleanliness, the Exchange Mall has the potential to offer an even better shopping experience. So far, so good. Here's hoping for positive changes in the future!
Safe clean well marked and well lit parking for reasonable prices and in good location with access to high street and mall shops (overnight after hours pedestrian entrance on Thorold Road behind Wilko). Would have given 5 stars but the payment kiosk machines were all moved inside the mall and not accessible after hours. Also they have changed from barricade/ticket billing to automated ANPR billing and unfortunately the network in the building is terrible and you struggle to scan and pay via the QR bar code or app. I managed to pay after many attempts and after 10 minutes of trying (autopay customers or those who call and pay by mobile may have had better experiences?!)
Doesn’t even deserve one star!!! Seriously what a joke! They installed a new system which is fine except the card machines stop working all the time and instead of acknowledging that this is their fault they make you go to the cash point to pay for it! Worst of all is that after 5.30pm, it’s free to go in but apparently you still need to go to the ticket machine to validate your card - which makes no sense, but they only inform you about this when you’re at the barriers ready to leave, they tell you to leave your car their and go 2 levels up to validate a FREE ticket!!! Bloody ridiculous
Prices start at £1.20 which is reasonable for a mall car park. Couple hours I believe is £2.40. They've adopted a new gateless system which is great. No more queuing for parking fee machines and searching for change. Payment can made in app or their website which is super as u don't frequent often and use the website. QR codes at entrance. Would be great if they plaster the payment QR code in more places all around the car park as a reminder and an easy way to pay.
Parked on level 2. Someone scratched my car from one side to another with a key/sharp object. I informed it to the security office and they told their camera does not cover some of the areas as the cameras are all fixed and somehow by the exit just outside the entrance (main building) door where I parked was not covered by their camera! This is 2nd time that it happened on Exchange car park! Reported it to the police but its a shame that the carpark is not secure!!
This car park is the car park I use for my gym. However. I was not told that the timings had changed so I only get an hour and half max with my gym membership! So I had to pay the fee regardless, not that deep to be honest. Otherwise a good car park with a lot of space. However, the ramps are quite cramped as in you can easily clip the yellow curbs whilst going up and down the car park. 3/5
I use this car park mainly for work purposes. The percentage of disability car parking spaces is quite high, often empty spaces can be seen even at peak shopping times and also over the the Xmas shopping period too. On the whole a great car park clean well maintained easy access. Very easy now to pay with the updated pay app, great idea.
Can't really fault the car park. Multi storey car park and very cheap. Lots of spaces. It's services the shopping centre so very useful. However my only issue is that it is very outdated and looks run down. It is also not helped by the fact that the high street itself is also very run down. However, as a car park it is generally good.
The new parking system is a trap. I paid for the parking, have proof of payment and keep receiving fines for not paying. I sent the proof many times and keep receiving autmated responses that I have not paid. This fine has escalated to £170! Avoid this car park, I won't be shopping in exchange purely for this reason going forward.
We used this car park in April 2023, and it was easy and convenient to use. No ticket is issued on entry, and payment has to be made with your car registration mark. I paid by card, and the whole process was efficient and quick. There was no queue at the payment point, which is at the exit from the shopping mall.
It's a car park for Ilford Mall (Exchange Mall). Family car space is very spacious but all others are much tighter for even medium sized cars. They've changed the parking payment system which as an idea is nice but the reception for mobile to make payments is a big zero. Another app to download and keep.
18 month's since I've being to ilford car park. At least paying to park has improved. Touch card payment access, outside, lighting is good.Opersite the station there's a side road which you will have to use when the main doors of the mall are closed. This gives you access to the ground floor of car park
They need to expand their family and children car spaces allotment to use to be more available. Only few given designated space availability. They have few floors only ground floor with child/family parking space. But there are people who just park their with no kids. Cameras around so car safe.
Shambolic car park. They opened the front gate to allow customers to go up the curved car ramp but have not opened the barrier which allows you to go into the actual car park. It's dangerous to reverse back out and the Exchange customer services do not pick up the phone. Absolutely pathetic
Very good but a bit cramp as you are coming up the different levels. Some lights need to be fixed. A parking lot should be brightly lit but some areas do not have the lights on. But you can find parking spaces here and the cost is not too expensive. For 2 hours I spent £1.50 only.
One exit barrier closed, not a great problem in itself except I was using My Parking Space which only had one keypad which was on the defective barrier. A rather garbled coversation took place over the intercom and eventually the working barrier was lifted to let me out.
Whenever I'm around Ilford during daytime, I usually park inside there as you know it's very hard to find parking spaces outside during these hours. Best thing I like about it is you don't need any ticket and the camera record your car registration number.
Obviously very convenient considering it's part of The Exchange. Family and disabled parking on the ground floor. Each floor has it's own access to the shopping mall with payment terminals nearby. Sunday rates are very good - £1.50 for the whole day.
Plenty of spaces, fairly tidy. Quiet but a mixture of being there early and all the quality shops closures. Shame, no department store or decent jewellers. Used to come here, if I needed to get gifts or clothes to go out. Now cheap but not cheerful!!
Great car park if you want to go to the Exchange mall or nearby like shopping on highroad Ilford. The car park is now using 'YourParkingSpace' which have made parking and paying for it much easier. Use the app or pay points in the mall to
The car park at this time is easy to use, less cars are using it. The main problem as far as I am concerned is finding a toilet open; either the top floor is closed, or the level 1 toilet is closed. It might be the cleansing is paramount.
Very good parking space with specious entrance and space, unlike many multi-storey car parks. You can pay on exit on the pay machine, pay by an app or scan a barcode. Very reasonably priced and Sunday all day for only £1.50!
Not many machines working. So by the time I queued my parking fee doubled. Press help button and they helped me. Queued again today, a big queue, people was arguing because person forgot his card. Other machines not working.
Best thing they have ever done ticketless machines finally drive right through cameras take pic of your car and once your done shopping or whatever you came for pay at the machines type your car reg pay and out you go.
Ample parking, affordable and convenient. I feel safe to park my car here for a while. The new payment method is pretty simple as you pay when you leave by entering your reg plate on the screen. £2 for a 2 hour stay!
Excellent place to park.. Right in the middle of everything... However.. Can be bit of a congestion problem when you need to leave in a hurry on a Saturday afternoon... But that's Ilford for you... …
The car park has existed for decades and originally charges were to cover the cost there is no reason to continue to charge, charges have also increased with the minimum charge £1.50. No free parking at all.
Always spaces available, with dedicated bays for disabled and parents. The mobility scooter service is a very important feature I could not do without. No toilets available. Easy access to the car park.
Would give it 5 but some of the first floor is taken up by the car wash. My opinion is on busy days those spaces with cones on them allocating the car wash could be used for the public to park.
Well set out mostly taped off . Upper parking . I went to Townhall, Ilford, for covid injection. Yippee very efficient and friendly atmosphere. . So get your injection, . Stay safe.x.
Family parking on ground floor, and 1a floor has valet, which I used first time. Left my car, 1hr 30misn later it was washed and hoovered for £20 guy was very nice and friendly.
No barriers or ticket system now, all recorded on your car reg number, drive in and pay when you leave at any one of the paypoints located at each floor of the shopping centre.
Always a pleasure to shop here, equally parking here is always easy...they also have a large designated parking area for disabled drivers which is a asset for many.
It was really difficult to find the entry for tje car parking on the busy rd in ilford .. not enough pannel show the parking way .. but in total charge fairly
Everyone always parks in the patent and child spaces (even though they don't have children). The shopping centre management don't do anything about this.
Easy access to shopping centre. 1 entrance closed so had to drive around in traffic to other entrance So not ideal at moment if dont know its closed
Ilford exchange car park is ideal for people to shop at the mall the tariff is reasonably and many places to have your shopping experience
Clean and tidy i use the car wash on level 1A on a regular basis great service. I feel happy my car will be safe parked at the exchange.
Lot of disable parking place and people park there without the pass.apply specially6mother with kids. They should park in proper place
Only issue is sometimes the contactless card payments has issues, and without my card or cash, im left stranded with my phone alone.
They have recently changed the payment system. Now you pay on exit by entering your vehicle registration with no need for a ticket.
Company must introduce new digital tarrif to improve customer satisfaction. Buy one hr get 30 mints free or something like that...
You can drive in, you can park, you can drive out. If you require anything more from a car park your standards are way too high...
The car park and the shopping mall do not work in collaboration. The car park will be open but pointless if the mall is close.
Easy to enter, park, and leave, and reasonable prices. Most importantly my vehicle was still there when I returned to it
Tried parking at Exchange car park today. App not working phone not working office shut left after 10 minutes of trying
A very affordable car park with about 6 levels. I like the new payment system which allows you to pay using a QR code.
Hi this place is good for shopping as its a big centre where you will find everything as well as its gota big car park
There's always space in here with a decent hand car wash-off required. The payment system is with cash or debit card.
Good prices. Warning. It is not 24 hours! If you don't come back in time your car could be locked in the car park.
Once parked I found it wasn't signed well to get into Ilford centre and wasn't child friendly with the roads.
As shopping centre car parks go, it's safe enough and reasonably priced compared to the newer ones going up!
You will always get a decent space here and it wont take long until you're parked and in the shopping centre
Cheap and very nice parking facility. Just that they are open for a very limited time until the mall is open
Very bright and clean. The only problem was on the ground floor; more family parking rather than disabled!
Busy and the ramp up and spaces are extremely narrow. Proceed with caution if you drive a large car...
Ilford Excgange car park is very handy place for parking. There is always a place on the disable bay
No more tickets to walk with. Camera records you. Pay before exit at machines when leaving the mall
It's a car park. I found a spot, parked my car and left, came back and drove away. Perfect. …
Best place for park in ilford High Street area, always availability and accessibility are higher
comfortable parking, a large range of shops of all kinds, it is a good place for your shopping
Very cheap. Has enough car park spaces even during busy periods during weekdays and weekends.
This car park needs updating tight parking spaces and the staircase smells like urine …
1.5£ to park on All day Sunday so it’s quite handy if you want to have a day out in London.
Was charged £2.50 for 14 minutes parking. Wait until 5.31pm for free parking. Con people
It has a family car park and car wash and some hours in the weekend are free for packing
I got stuck in a lift here and it took a whole hour for help to arrive …
It's annoying many many car park spaces are taken by car washing company. Ridiculous.
Easy to find the Disabled parking. There's a parking app, so no waiting for to pay.
Good parking , missing sign for Sunday parking that the centre is shut until 11am
There is Some non Disabled parking on the lower level, but it is Not signposted.
Get your parking ticket. Park car, shop, pay for ticket. Leave stress free …
Nice plasent shopping experience, small shopping center but meets all the needs
Not very high in price and accessible location to park in the heart of Ilford
Some time you cant always get a space but it keep yout car safe while shop
Rotten fined me for parking slightly out of the box....rubbish car park
I do like the new ticket less parking. One less thing to keep track of.
Park your car safely people will leave dings and scratches on your car
Afordable, Easy and convenient if you plan to spend your day in ilford
Lots of spaces very reasonable prices for parking clean lots of light
Very convenient car parking facility. Quite reasonable rates as well.
Best parking space in the area , secured safe and less expensive.
Big car park and always parking available and reasonably charged.
The most significant car parking place near Ilford town centre.
Clean and good place for park while shopping. It’s affordable.
Good place to park and have your car washed at the same time.
Well laid out and spacious enough to move the car around
Plenty of spaces. Reasonable price. Upto 1 hour for 1.5
Always space. Good tarriff for parking. Nice clean area
Always plenty of choice where to park reasonably priced
Plenty of car park spaces. Also has a car wash facility
Decent car park, little tight however it does the job.
VERY CHEAP PARKING FOR ILFORD EXCHANGE SHOPPING CENTRE
Not busy on Monday. Inexpensive and deems pretty safe.
It's pretty run of the mill a multi storey carpark
decent car park. cheaper than most shopping malls
Great car park. You can even park your car there!
Busy shopping centre. Good parking. Town centre.
Reasonable price and also can pay in cash …
Much better with the new parking payment system
