As an Ohioian I absolutely loved and appreciated the variety of birds. I had no idea there were so many different sizes of owls out there and this was probably one of my favorite places of the aviary. They also do a good job of displaying very realistic habitats. After discovering the Aviary last year, was so impressed with the facility that my fiancee and I decided to get a year membership! The birds are as varied as they are beautiful, and the staff takes great care to ensure they are well looked after and provided with lots of enrichment and appropriate accommodations. We had such an amazing time here! The bird show was great, you can tell that the staff are so passionate about the birds and are extremely knowledgable about them. We loved walking around, and it was a great winter activity because some of the exhibits are inside so we could warm up. Would definitely recommend! More

Great place to spend a few hours. Definitely get to the bird show - see their website for timings and note that they won't let you in after the show has started. And do the lorikeet feeding - there are also specific times for that and it costs a few extra bucks but it's a fun experience, especially for kids! More

We are here visiting our son and his girlfriend. He suggested a visit to the aviary. We had a very enjoyable experience! Beautifully maintained grounds and we enjoyed all the birds and animals! Really glad I went! Was better then I was expecting. The best kea enclosure I've seen I was so happy to see they had them! Quite a few baby birds including a few baby flamingos. Also a nice mix of different types of viewing areas, indoor spaces and walk in amongst the birds. Would highly recommend! More

Went to see the Christmas lights, very pretty walk around the Aviary. Hot chocolate was great, and had a good selection of traditional Christmas music. The cute Kias were out asking for attention. The light maze was kind of lame, even the little kids were not confused at all. More

It had been a few years since I was last here. It had really been added to. There are lots of birds to see, several interactive play areas for the kids and fun water features. It is a great place to visit because it is well shaded and doesn't get as hot as out in the open. More

I came a few years ago but it really stuck with me how great this place is! Definitely very good for kids but also adults too. I went for a few hours and would recommend the scheduled learning portions in the amphitheater area. Definitely a great day here! More

Beautiful botanical garden and aviary! I had not been before but it was quite enjoyable. It was on a Sunday and not very crowded at all. There were no bird shows or activities going on and I didn't see staff around much to ask questions

Wife and I got there on Sunday, June 4th, at around 9 AM (right when they opened) to help her mom celebrate her 75th birthday. It paid off, because we got to see Andy the Andean Condor sunning his feathers before the crowd got there.

Presently the light show is available till 9 pm and it was indeed a pleasant experience to visit the aviary during night time. Lighting with various colours is done and illuminated trees / maze and others were a treat to watch.
