I ordered a cake for delivery on December 12th, 2020. I saw that Three Brothers Bakery had Build-A-Cake Birthday cakes for $49.99. A little expensive, I thought, but I assumed it would taste really good for the price. The smallest cake they offer feeds 8-10 people, so it would be a lot of cake for my single cousin. Still, I wasn’t in Houston, I was in Louisville, and figured for $49.99, my cousin would receive a special treat since he was alone during Covid on his Birthday. Since it was a Christmas Birthday, I sent a picture of a cake decorated with some Christmas ornaments, phoned the shop and asked did they have any decorating options like the picture? I was told yes. I ordered the Build-A-Birthday Cake for $49.99, nothing fancy—a round white cake with white buttercream icing. I was not quoted a price, nor was I told there was a delivery fee. I received an email verifying my order, but in the rush of the holidays, was glad that task had been taken care of, and didn’t open it to read it. If I had I would have cancelled my order. When I received my Visa bill, I saw a charge for $150. I called and was told that since the cake was ordered with custom decorations, it was $100, and that the delivery fee was $50. I surely would’ve paid for delivery without complaint—but I was thinking like a Doordash amount of $10? My cousin lives less than two miles from the bakery! When I called, I asked for a discount but was told nothing could be done. I take full responsibility for assuming the cake would cost $49.99, and full responsibility for not opening the email from Three Brothers, to verify the order. I will admit I’m naïve at times, and far too trusting. And people take advantage of that, so I paid the price. I’m putting this warning out there for other trusting people, because this bakery will take advantage of you if they’re given the opportunity.

Another Update: They are celebrating their 70th year and decorated accordingly. I received great service again! I love coming here! Update: I visited this location again today. The cashier Madison gave great service and gave me permission to take pictures; I remembered to take pictures of the bakery and of my purchases this time! I tried a free sample of the snickerdoodle; it was quite nice. I ordered a 1.5lb Challah loaf, a blueberry danish, a snickerdoodle, and a chocolate raspberry pound cake. This was my first time at a 3BB. I have a dairy allergy and saw that this bakery had dairy-free options. I initially tried to visit on Easter, but I didn't check their holiday hours. I visited again later that week. I asked if there was any Challah left, since I knew that was dairy-free; I ordered a 1.5lb loaf. The cashier Noah asked if I wanted it sliced; I didn't know that was an option. While he sliced the bread, I looked at the display for a pastry to try. There were so many non-dairy items that I couldn't stop smiling. I ordered a strawberry Hamantaschen, and ate it in my car. I was so excited that I forgot to take more pictures of the bakery and any of my purchases. I devoured the Challah over several days. I plan to visit a 3BB in the near future! Thank you.

Custom cake ordering process is terrible. I ordered a cake through email and quickly received a message stating I had to pay by Sunday 12/10 at 5pm. I saw this email a bit before noon on Saturday, I called in to ask if what payment methods were accepted since I would not be able to make it to the bakery that day. I was told I could pay over the phone. I return the call at 4pm with my credit card in hand only to find out, after a 15 minute conversation that I was supposed to pay the day before by 2pm. Apparently, they sent another email after the initial email giving me less than 3 hours to pay or my order was not guaranteed. The cake was for a family member that just came out of recovery, this was my only task for the event. I'll have to get a grocery store cake which is very unfortunate. If someone is ordering a custom cake, there is a special event that they are planning for. If they are doing it online, they are probably pressed for time. Optimizing this experience and making the information on your website clearer in this digital age is paramount. The negative reviews are all centered around a lack of, or unclear communication. The cakes are delicious, but this bakery cannot be counted on.

Times change, bought a cake for our wedding in 1988 it was a wonderful cake, continued to patronize until covid . It was a going away party, a cake was ordered from TBB and low and behold and not until now these words would ever be used when describing a TBB product. In short, old, chemistry, a fall apart mess, one would be much better off learning to make desserts themselves. What happened over there ? Was it inside sabotage ? Who knows ? On the plus side maybe someone with with people sense will see this horrible review and be the NEW BAKERY on the street ? Personally, I hope this is looked into and they find out what caused this. If I said nothing how would that help ? DO SOMETHING Well after reading others with complaints I will add this, complaints were so similar for the last 5+ years this bakery may not be in this business to make anyone happy, others may be just settling ? HOUSTONIANS DO DESERVE BETTER as do our guests that come thru HOURTOWN, TX..MANAGEMENT save your time asking for a return call and maybe shut down and look in the mirror and ask," am I the problem " or " our my customers correct ? be honest

I finally dragged myself away from work to go grab coffee and decided to also drop by Three Brothers Bakery for the first time to see if I could find something cake-like. I was not disappointed! There were so many cupcakes and cakes and other baked goods. I ended up choosing a slice of carrot cake and a slice of German chocolate cake. It was so hard limiting myself to only two things haha. The workers and the other customers were super friendly, and it was altogether a very welcoming environment. At the register, I mentioned that it was my first time visiting, and the employee checking me out gave me a free gingerbread man ❤️ Another customer told me how she hasn’t found gingerbread cookies as good as the ones from Three Brothers. I’m usually pretty iffy about gingerbread, but I tried it when I got home and it’s so good! I’m excited to try the cakes now. I got the carrot cake for a friend who’s bday is tomorrow, but I’ll definitely be digging into the chocolate cake later today. I’m sure it tastes as good as it looks! I’ll definitely be visiting this bakery again during my next coffee run.

I ordered my wedding cake from Three Brothers Bakery for October 2017. The staff was friendly and professional throughout the entire process. My husband and I met with a staff member to try their wedding cake flavors (3 cakes and icings, 6 fillings) and design our cake. We picked out a standard white cake, white icing, and raspberry filling. The raspberry filling is delicious!! Our cake was simple, so I cannot speak much for how well they do with intricate designs. However, our 4 tier cake was simple, clean, beautiful, and made it through the wedding without any structural issues (i.e. toppling over) so I would say a design win! The cake was absolutely delicious, and still is after 7 months! We had a bunch left over, which has been sitting in the freezer. I defrosted some this week and though the cake density is a little different, it still tastes exactly the same. As per tradition, we saved the top tier for our 1st anniversary. I'm so happy my husband and I will be able to enjoy it when the time comes.

If the order is important, go someplace else. Do not trust this company to do what they promise. I trusted them with the cake for my big 75th birthday party. I ordered the cake topper online and hand delivered it to them when I paid over $900 for the cake. They wouldn't deliver to me. So the morning of my party I had to send someone to pick up the cake. When it arrived, there was no cake topper. I told Three Brothers to get someone to drive it to me. They refused, but said they'd give me $30 off which was ridiculous and shows that they were not taking this responsibility seriously. I told them to hire a courier and hurry because it was only an hour until my party. They told me to hire Uber package delivery. I did. The Uber driver picked up the cake topper but later decided he didn't want the job so he took it back to Three Brothers. This was THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. And, as already disclosed, that's saying something because I've been around for a while.

Let me start off by saying I usually visit the memorial location but I was closer to this location and went in to try the pecan praline filled king cake and of course my monthly cake fixes . While everything at this place is usually good and I thought the king cakes have to be good too RIGHT ? WRONG. I’m from New Orleans and everything about this king cake is why some people don’t eat it ! It was EXTREMELY DRY, the inside of the cake seems like they just CHOPPED PECANS AND ADDED IT . The cake falls apart while cutting and even when I warm it up the icing crumbles like dried sugar cookies. I can’t believe I spent $30 on this . I was going to get a slice but the lady at the counter told me no get the full cake its worth it and omg was she WRONG. This cake was made weeks ago and left out on the shelf for me to almost choke on. I’m gonna try to make bread pudding out of it and maybe add a little moisture and flavor.

Let's start with the good things, all their baking is done in house therefore is always fresh, they have a nice and friendly service. My comment is I wish they'd invest in a good quality chocolate for their desserts. If you know about good chocolate stay away from their chocolate desserts or pastry. My biggest complaint is that recently (I mean months now) they added at the of transaction a request for a tip starting with 18%, I find that a bit upsetting to say the least. When was the last time you tipped the person at the bakery counter at the most expensive grocery store. Also, when was the last time you tipped the servers at the deli counter. It just doesn't feel fair towards other people working in the same position in other stores. To end on a positive note, they have tasty European desserts and cakes. Enjoy!

I’ve been to this location maybe 5 times. Previously i had an issue when I got home and my cupcakes were very dry and not good. I called the store and asked how old the cupcakes were they told me they could be up to 5 days old. I asked for fresh cupcakes and made a trip back to exchange the cupcakes. I went again today and asked for fresh cupcakes. A chocolate Oreo cupcake and a red velvet. I asked multiple times, were these made today? He assured me they were. After getting home they were dry and falling apart, not good at all. Unfortunately our family won’t be going to their bakery anymore. Their store is clean and well kept but their quality of cupcakes are very poor. We ordered a graduation cake a few months ago and it was good. Would not recommend cupcakes or anything that’s not made fresh for you.

I was looking for a bakery nearby and found this bakery on Google maps. It was great to discover that they're celebrating their 70th year! There were so many choices! I got the chocolate coffee cake to have for breakfast. It was not too sweet at all but I was thinking that it would be more chocolatey. We had a family lunch and I got the chocolate meringue pie and a dozen of cookies - chocolate chip cookies and snickerdoodles. The cookies were such a hit with the kids. The chocolate chip ones disappeared quickly. The chocolate meringue pie was a tad too sweet for me but I loved the meringue part. When I told my husband that I picked up baked goods from here, he instantly knew of this bakery. Our best man and his wife had gotten their wedding cake from this bakery many years ago!

We went in to buy cookies today to try to cheer up my daughter. She is on the Autism Spectrum and she had a challenging day today. She was crying when we entered the bakery and the young lady at the counter invited her to pick out a cupcake of her choice -- on the house! So KIND!!! Thank you!!! She picked a watermelon style cupcake and we bought 2 dozen cookies for our family and for a friend who is celebrating her birthday month. Great cookies and great people. Thank you again for your kindness towards my daughter. She was frustrated as she is part of a vocational program to prepare young people with disabilities for College and beyond. She's ready to go back tomorrow and keep trying. She'll be in 10th grade and she wants to work hard so she can go to College.

I come here all the time and usually love it but the last time I went was probably going to be my last . I asked for key lime cheesecake. The worker first stated they didn’t have any then went and found one piece. As I looked at it , it had appeared to be a piece from something else because there was a green decorative spot they tried to cover with frosting . I accepted anyways . As I left they store and took a couple of bites I realized the top was crusting as I looked further I realized they was white fuzzy mold on top of the whole cheese cake . I looked further to the top and there was green fuzzy mold . It just makes me wonder how long do they keep things on display for customers to eat before they throw them away . It made me sick to my stomach!

Please note, this review refers to the store on Washington! Three times I have tried to enjoy this place and I was disappointed all three times. One time I ordered the lemon cake. It was so dry it was hard to swallow. Last night I ordered the salted caramel pecan pie. The pecans were stale and the filling was grainy and toooooo sugary! AND, OMG the espresso coffee was just awful! They had no bread and no poppy seed roll either. NOW, I must mention that the two employees were very accommodating and helpful. But they need training on how to make espresso drinks (I didn't order anything technical, just an Americano). The ambiance is nice and that is why we went there after dinner, to enjoy coffee and dessert in a quiet place with friends.

One of the best bakeries to find fresh, baked goods. The smells are intoxicating and so worth every penny. We have celebrated many birthdays and graduations with Three Brothers Bakery. It's a family tradition at this point. Although I live in Arlington, Texas, I've made a few special trips to Houston just to get a cake for my colleagues. So let's talk about the cakes. They are GREAT! I knew I wanted a Three Brothers Bakery wedding cake for my wedding. Hands down. The cake tasting is only $25 for those looking for a special event cake. And I drove back to the bakery the following year to get our one year anniversary cake (I don't eat old cake). I truly can't say enough about how special this bakery is to the community it serves.

First of all I really wanted to try this place for a very long time ! So today was the day !! We got the Death by chocolate cupcake Coconut cupcake Cheesecake cupcake So how hard is to satisfy a seven year old with chocolate? My kids review “ This taste like it’s been in the fridge for a week “ ( a seven year old, chocolate) DRY I had the coconut cupcake, the bread was dry and had very little coconut flavor. So we saved the cheesecake cupcake for last ( how can you go wrong with cheesecake?). Cheesecake cupcake was guess what ? DRY also frosting not much better. Desert Gallery is by far better. Crave cupcakes is most definitely better. Sam’s cupcakes are probably better. Maybe cookies is the the thing to go for.

This place is great! My family has been coming here my entire life. I’ve eaten hundreds of loaves Challah for Shabbat and everyone has been perfect. Next is the Babka, what a phenomenal piece of baked good. Every thing in the bakery has always tasted great, and has never changed. Black and white cookies are great! Pick anything.... it will be delicious. Even now my daughters love this place and especially loves the gingerbread men with sprinkles. It can go wrong with anything. I’m writing this review cause I was sharing this place’s information with a coworker, and I was shocked at its rating. After thousands of times visiting, I’ve always had a great experience. Such a great place with soo much nostalgia.

Thank you Josh and the bakers at the S. Braeswood location for creating for me an amazing cake for my 48th year of life. This far exceeded my initial vision for this cake. Thank you for the attention to details and really walking me through this "cake experience" as upon my initial visit to the store I had no idea about icing selections, size of the cake, etc. only just the design that I wanted, and you guys held my hand through the entire process...even going as far as drawing mock-ups of what I was asking/hoping for. I'm very happy and well pleased. You get 10 stars from me and definite recommendations to all in my circle of the world. Thank you again.

I can't believe I live so close by and hadn't been to Three Brothers sooner! I loved it and can't wait to go back. There are SO MANY pastry and dessert options and all of them look delicious. I tried the cream cheese danish and it was amazing, but honestly, I would be excited to try anything from this bakery. They also had a lot of different coffee options, which also tasted great. The atmosphere was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. They do offer curbside at the moment (by phone) or takeout. There is some parking in front and to the side of the store, or you can walk / bike in since it connects to the bayou trail.

  • Dee Matthews

The young lady who works there had a wonderfully cheery attitude, even early in the morning! Ruggalach is $1.50 each or $5.99 for 6. These are great with a cup of tea or coffee. They are a somewhat crumbly cookie with very little filling compared to other stores. I personally enjoy that it's not very sweet. The apple coffee cake was also really good and large enough to share! The cake slices are generously sized three layer delights at a cost of around $6.50. The cake smelled wonderful, the lemon filling was plentiful and not too sweet, the cake was soft and fluffy, but the icing was way too sweet and thick. Overall, a true delight!

I was pressed for time and popped in here because it was closer than my normal bagel place, but DO NOT buy Three Brother's bagels. These are not like any bagels I have ever had and it tastes like they just use their dinner roll dough and shape it into circles to LOOK like bagels. They are crusty, dry and tasteless...which is also my opinion of their dinner/hamburger/kaiser rolls. Now if you want AMAZING bagels go to Bagel Shop Bakery Hillcroft. Their cookies and pastries look amazing, but I don't want to be disappointed again. I'll update if I do try some other things here. Their high school staff is very helpful and friendly.

Horrible... I had such great customer service at the Woodway and Chimney Rock location... We wanted to order Biales: gentleman there called main store and said it's a weekend item.. order required.. 6 min.. Was so exited when we went to Braeswood store and we're told by 2 employees: we don't have this.. one was the manager to boot... I insisted and told her about my discussion with Woodway store gentleman. Now all for a sudden they have it but won't sent to Woodway Please please educate your store employees about your products.... And a little customer service wouldn't hurt ..

  • gayle morrison

I drove from Baytown to the bakery just to get a king cake. I assumed they would be better than the grocery stores. Worst king cake ever!!! Was hard and stale. Tasted so old. Paid $30 for something that was not edible. The girl working behind the counter told me they were making fresh ones. I told her to get me a praline pecan. She came back and told me the bakers said I would have to buy one that was on the shelf out front. I also bought some pastries which were good but I wasted my money on the king cake!!! Will not go back. DO NOT BUY KING CAKE AT 3Brothers bakery

  • Rene Mays

This bakery has the best Challah, rye and pumpernickel bread in Houston. Lets not forget their sweets! I have ordered many cakes and pies for various occasions from here. They have the best TASTING cakes and pies. However, I wouldnt rate them high on decorations, but they are not terrible. But no one ever, will turn down flavour which is the most important. Pretty much everything from here is delicious, and they have everything! Everything tastes homemade with love, and held up with excellent customer service. Will always come here or to any 3 Brothers locations.

  • Vazken Kalayjian

Based on all the great reviews people left online I ordered several pies to arrive for my daughter's birthday on specific date. Three Brothers shipped FedEx ground! which is so unwise for a perishable item and I never received the pies. Three Brothers Bakery so far has not take responsibility for their mistake nor refunded my money. Their customer service has been terrible. Please note: After several attempts and negative comments on social media they did refund me for the pies. It's too bad apparently they make the best pecan pie. Thank you for my refund.

  • Mermaid

I used to love Three Brothers but now their cakes taste like they use the cheapest ingredients in them and are dry. Not to mention their attitude is unacceptable. I ordered a birthday cake for a dear friend that was supposed to have a Nescafe design on it. I went to pick it up and it didn't have the design. I spoke to the manager and he was so rude. He brushed me off and turned his attention to a Jewish couple. He told me he didn't care and I could tell all my friends it wouldn't matter to him. This was at the Braeswood location. Unbelievable!

  • Glory Yoani

What a cozy little bakery! Decided to try it for the first time on a cold day in January. The lady at the front desk was so nice and welcoming. She explained they don't have donuts but suggested other options. They have a bunch of different cookies and flavors for everyone. I even saw a brownie labeled made without sugar. Which is a great option as well. I truly liked what I got. They also have souvenirs and T- shirts. Absolutely coming back and bringing my friends over. Give it q try if you live close to one of these bakeries in Houston.

  • Nicole R.V.

Three Brothers on Braeswood is my absolute favorite bakery. The service is wonderful and friendly every time I visit, and it always smells like bakery heaven inside! I was put in charge of creating a Valentine's celebration at my office this year. I ordered petit fours, chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate-dipped pretzels, a chocolate chip cookie cake, and heart sugar cookies. It is impossible to name my favorite confection as they were all AMAZING! Thank you, Three Brothers for the always amazing service and delicious treats!

  • cs296

I ordered from Europe a birthday cake for a friend (sorry, I don't remember which of the 3 Shops it was plus it was like 2 years ago I think) it was a customized cake. And it rocked! The service in helping me to get the right cake plus to settle the payment from Europe to the States was incredibly amazing! The only bad thing about it was that I couldn't try the cake, it would have been bad by the time it arrived here, if there had only been left a piece for me! So yes, I absolutely 100% recommend the 3 Brothers in Houston.

  • Erika Garcia

I was attended to by Sarah today and she was super friendly and helpful. I noticed the entire staff was the same as well. It's a pleasant environment to walk into. Lots of sweet treats and breads to choose from. The gingerbread man was soft, chewy and yummy. I went with some canolis and those were really tasty as well. Haven't yet tried the chocolate cake Sarah recommended to me, but my mouth is watering just thinking about it! Edit: the chocolate cake was really delicious and moist. Birthday boy loved it.

  • S Ruby

Most excellent bakery in Htown and beyond. Truly class. And most excellent story of survival (Holocaust and Hurricanes). This places has European delights of Gingerbread men and Italian cream. Jewish essentials like Hamantaschen and Challah, American spin of Jewish goods like black and white cookies and cheesecake. Southern classics like bourbon pecan pies and Texas favorites such as beef sausage kolaches with jalapenos. Three Brothers hits the target everytime! Truly class :)

  • C'est La Vie

My mom has been coming here since she was a little kid in the late 1940s. I have loved this bakery since I was a little kid in the mid-70s. The selection of parve items is INCREDIBLE. I have a dairy allergy, but don’t keep kosher. And take it from most of the Houston Jewish community- the loss of the kosher certification means NOTHING to us. We still love Three Brothers immensely!!!!! I look forward to devouring a chocolate bourbon pecan pie and some hamentashen soon!!!

  • Ann S

Tried their cream danish and a Jewish pastry that I can't remember the name. It had cinnamon sugar on top. Both were good. They serve a variety of pie slices, cookies, cupcakes, cake slices, bagels, and pastries. They also serve coffee. No donuts. No regular plain brownies. Just fudge brownies. The staff are welcoming. I was greeted once I entered in. I'll have to come back and try more of their sweets some day. A lot to try for sure!

  • Will Iba

We had placed a special order for the decoration of our cake, providing them with specific instructions. However, upon arriving at the store, we were dismayed to find that they had mistakenly prepared a regular cake instead. Although they attempted to rectify the situation, the end result was far from satisfactory. Regrettably, not a single guest at our event was able to consume even a small slice of this overpoweringly sugary cake.

  • David Cipriano

I live close to this place and decided to check it out for a family occasion. I never tried any of their products and asked if they had any samples, which they said no. The only way to try their food was buying a cupcake. That was a pretty trashy cupcake for like 3 bucks. The bread was dry and the whole icing chunk fell off. The place looks nice and stuff but it really wouldn't hurt to give the customer a sample. Just go to Kroger.

  • Sam Rayman

I wish I could give zero stars to them. Really bad service. I got an appointment for 10 am on a Saturday but considering Houston traffic we got there at 10:16 am. We talked to the manager too and they would not let that one minute go and didn’t even get my $25 refund. We’ve always ordered birthday cakes from them. But this time there was no absolute sense of customer service. It was a really bad experience. Never going back again.

  • Gahriel Montague-Charles

We went here because they are next to Burger Bodega. The shop is really nice and the food looks amazing. However, I got the red velvet cupcake, and it tasted no different than a box of cake mix in terms of texture and fluffiness. Maybe the vanilla would have been better. Although the price is fair considering the sheer size of the cupcake and the craftsmanship. I will try them again, so maybe I will be able to update this review.

  • Sara

Price was very good for the quality and variety of baked goods. When mentioning that it was our first time, a nearby customer gave glowing recommendations for the gingerbread and mentioned that he has been a regular for years. All of their bread is baked fresh daily and their pastries were delicious. Management wasn’t around but I wanted to especially compliment Justice on her great recommendations and wonderful customer service.

  • A Freilich

My family has been enjoying Three Bros for the past 50 years. In addition to my favorites like cherry danish, blueberry danish, cheese pockets, and various cookies, they have the best challah in Houston! Recently, I had the pleasure of tasting their chocolate pecan pie and apple pie. They were delicious as I expected they would be . This continues to be my favorite bakery. Everyone is friendly and helpful.

  • Kathryn Hatfield

I've been a fan of the Kingsride location for a while but this was my first visit to the Braeswood branch. It's another winner! A stunning array of gorgeous baked goods and a lovely clean and attractive place to sit in, if you want to consume them there and then. We bought a king cake and were very pleased to get a strawberry cream cheese one; there were tons of flavours. Excellent store all round.

  • Phil Howard

If you're in search of pastries, breads, or cakes with quality ingredients, you've come to the right place! A huge assortment of goods available everyday that are outstanding! They can also prepare coffee beverage to go with your desserts. They also have other locations around the city. If you happen to be near Bellaire or Meyerland, it's a must visit for those who enjoy the sweet stuff!

  • Nancy Ghisalbert

I ordered two Cakes for Christmas. The first Cake was for my Grandson’s 12th Birthday; Minecraft Cake. The second was a Large Yule Log Cake. They both were decorated so nicely and both Chocolate Cakes were so good. Will definitely go back to get other pastries, cookies, cakes and Bread.!! So grateful for the Yule Log; the grandkids were so amazed, Thank You for a wonderful Christmas.!!

  • Cheryl Metherd

Three Brothers Bakery did a fantastic job on our wedding cake and grooms cake! The lady who took our order, drew the cakes exactly how we wanted them to look. We did the taste tasting before deciding on which flavors, and they were all so moist! Delicious and Beautiful cakes! Great customer service, and such attention to detail. I highly recommend Three Brothers Bakery!!!

  • Lexxi McBride

My friend and I are looking for red velvet cupcakes for her birthday coming up. We were so excited to try Three Brothers. How disheartening to discover that every.single.cupcake we tried was awful?! Dry, dense, crumbly, stale, etc. I wish I would have asked for a refund. I would give it 0 stars if I could. We’ll give the 1 star to the “award-winning” key lime pie.

  • Maya C.

We tried this bakery for the first time yesterday because we had heard lots of great things about it. However, I’m sorry to say that we were greatly disappointed in the cupcakes we bought. 3/4 of it was frosting and the bread was dry and crumbled into chunks when touched. Our expectations were greatly let down and we are probably not going to buy from here again.

  • michael wasserman

I've been going to Three Brothers Bakery for years and have never had a disappointing experience. The gingerbread men were incredible. I'm not the biggest fans of raisins so I asked if they would consider making them with chocolate chips instead. Low and behold, the next time I went they had my request there! Great customer service and really nice people.

  • Bea White

I have been coming to your bakery fir at least 40 years! The rye bread is the closest I’ve found to be like German bread! It would be wonderful if you could open a location in the Clear Lake/League City area so I wouldn’t have to drive so far. I do buy around 20 loaves at a time and freeze them. Thanks for still being here! Sincerely, Beatrix White

  • Toni Bubb

WOW! I was so impressed with the cake that was done for the CEO of Own Your Voice who turned 40 recently! This unique cake done by 3 Brothers and Macy Ulbricht with Henna Love Houston certainly made the day very special and wowed many guests with how beautiful the design was and how delicious the cake was. Thank you so much for everything!

I have been riding my bike by this place for years and finally stopped in to get a gift for our hosts in Tennessee. Katie was professional enough to thoughtfully package our cookies so they could make the journey and was a joy to deal with. Can't wait to try the cookies. Three Brothers is back in business after Harvey and ready to go.

Yum! Located right by the Brayes Bayou trail, the bakery makes a perfect place to stop and grab a snack. I tried the pecan bar and a blueberry hamantaschen ... both were delicious and not overly sweet. They also sell coffee, lattes, and tea. This place would be great for a quick breakfast or brunch. I will definitely stop by again!

  • Sarah Bausinger

Stumbled upon this quaint little bakery but was surprised by how much variety there was to be found! I ended up getting a rum ball, a funfetti cake ball, a double chocolate cookie, and a latte and that was making some hard cuts because everything looked so good! The cakes were very moist and the cookie nice and chewy .

Ordered a red velvet cake once which was ok, And then tried death by chocolate and yeah better to die than eating it. Looking at all the reviews I think they either gave old cake or it’s already like that! Too dry and stuck in mouth while eating Either way they didn’t even pack it properly. Not gonna try any cakes here

My family has loved Three Brothers for a long time. The gingerbread cookies are always a hit - we can never buy enough! I recently got a cake for my son's birthday with a beautiful design of the Texas state flag. It was delicious!! The staff are always nice and friendly. I always have a great and tasty experience.

  • Fatima Kinard

Tried this place out for the first time today it was awesome so many sweets to choose from!! Opted for some cupcakes and Dino cookies. The German chocolate cupcake was my fave. The kids enjoyed the Dino cookies. Will definitely be coming back soon!! Highly recommend this place to ease this sweet tooth cravings!!

  • Tanya B

Had a great experience here at 3 Brother's. I ordered my birthday cake here and it was ready in just 3 days. I sent a few pictures of what I had in mind, and they created a beautiful cake for me! It was honestly more delicious than it looked! I recommend this bakery, I'll definitely return for upcoming events.

$3.50 for a cake ball?... I'm good... I'll just keep going to Phoenicia's where the prices are reasonable. $9 slice of cheese cake was just okay. $3.50 for a small dry cookie you can get for .50 at the Mexican bakery was heartbreaking I wanted this place to be good, but it's more of a tourist attraction …

  • Georgia Nelson

I ordered the almond croissant, and I was so excited. From the outside, it appeared very doughy. This was the lowest quality croissant I have ever eaten. It resembles a croissant, but tastes like bread… I will not be returning to any of these bakeries. I recommend not wasting your time trying their pastries.

  • Chau Tran

I have been here several times. Each time I had a different cashier. They were all friendly and answered all my questions. They were also patient when it took me a minute to pick out things that I wanted. Product knowledge was A+.

What a treat coming in here. There are so many sweet options! I couldn't decide what to try. The service is amazing and everyone is friendly. I definitely will go back. They are currently making some sweet changes to their area and it will be a cute lil sweet date option or after school treat for the kids!

  • Alexia Donnelly

They have a great classic feeling and they have some really yummy cream cheese brownies. They have friends faces to great you. In my opinion some of their items are a little over priced and the beagles were more fluffy than normal beagles. I would recommend trying them out though. They are worth the trip.

  • Charles Vernters Jr.

Couldn't wait to visit this place after I had seen it on IG. There's a lot to choose from & everything is baked fresh daily. Everybody was nice & they explained all the different options & flavors. Trust me it was so much we got a lot to try! LMBO. Everything was well flavored & pretty. Go try them out!

  • Manny Flores

Very clean establishment, the staff is super friendly and ready to assist anyone. I think ive had just about everything they offer by now lol but everything is delicious. Ive never had a bad experience. What makes this location even better is that its located right of the cycling trail for good fuel.

My partner and I decided to attend a great aunts birthday With 3 hours notice ahead of time. Just so happens 3 brothers bakery had my aunts favorite cake, “Italian cream.” Leo helped us pick out the cake and some other cupcakes for the party. Everything was delicious and Leo was such a gentleman!

  • l amber

The service was excellent! I went in close to closing time and the young man who was helping me was very polite. First time trying this bakery and the smell of homemade icing hits you when you walk through the door. I love their petite fours and red velvet cupcakes. Definitely will come back!

  • Angel Richard (Angel)

I had the keylime pie.....it looked good.. so I bought a slice for $6.50. I opened it up when I got to work which is right around the corner the topping had no flavor nor did the filling! So I tried the crust it had a burnt butter flavor so this will be the first and last time going there

If you’re driving by with your windows down, be prepared to make a U-turn. The aroma coming from the bakery is enticing. Nice pastry selection and good customer service. Tried the Cinnamon Ruggalach. It was okay. Could have used more cinnamon and sugar. It had a sour taste to it.

  • Roswitha Firth

Best sourdough! Friendly service. I was glad to see the employees masked and being very conscientious about social distancing for the customers. The croissants are flaky and generous. The chocolate in the chocolate croissants was superb...not some overly sweet gunk. I'll be back.

  • Fatimah Khan

Chocolate chip cookie was extremely hard and stale, and didn't have any flavor. And it cost $2.99. Vanilla cupcake had an odd flavor. The creme horn was also very stale and had an unpleasant aftertaste. The petit four was the only thing that was good but at $3.25, not worth it.

  • iMonikah

My family ordered from this bakery for my birthday and my SIL said the woman she called the cake into was extremely nice and helpful. I got the carrot cake, and it was AMAZING! Soooo good, best carrot cake I've ever had and it came in a beautiful cake box. Definitely recommend!

  • Ashley Lapaglia

I ordered our wedding cake recently from them and loved it! All our guests loved it and said they'd never had such delicious cake before. Jasmine was so easy to work with during the process and made it so stress free for me! I recommend them for wedding cake or any occasion.

  • Elle & Elan

This was just the perfect birthday cake! Three Brothers bakery really did deliver I’m so impressed. We all love how rich and delicious the chocolate buttercream and cake. I’m glad I found them, my new go to customized cake place! Thank you Three Brothers bakery! …

  • L. G. Siller

Solid bakery that I've been coming to since I was a kid and now have moved close by. Three words for Three Brothers: Danish. Danish. Danish. The best, simply divine cherry, blueberry, lemon, coconut creme,,,they do it right,,,along with everything else too.

  • Hal Halladay

This is a classic bakery filled with cakes, breads, cookies and pastries. It’s fun just to walk in and see everything that is available. The staff is friendly and helpful and we’re happy to see me even though I was just passing by and a new customer.

  • Zelal Doğan

We bought a birthday cake and it smelled really weird and bad. Our guests also didn’t like the cake much either. It’s like the cake is old and hard to cut. It was decorated nicely and they provided very good service. But we didn’t like the cake.

  • Michael Comer

Best key lime pie in Houston. Also best chocolate croissants and blueberry muffins in Houston. I’ve come back three times since the key lime pie and Three Brothers Bakery is now a part of my life. I wholly recommend this establishment.

  • peepoJuice weee

used to be really good.. a household staple. now the icing is really bad and almost tastes like wet fur. icing also smells unappetizing but the cake of the petitfours is good if you scrape the icing off. missing the old recipes :(

  • Sarah G

We had a custom cake made for my son's 1st birthday. It was a design to look like his favourite stuffed animal. The cake was beautiful, much bigger than I had imagined, and tasted wonderful. Thank you. I will be coming back soon.

  • Banana Red

Great pastries! If you're cutting back on sweets, this is not the place for that. You could go in a sugar coma. They did say they had sugar-free, but with the taste, it's hard to tell. Good or bad? Go try for yourselves.

  • Bre Gilder

Oh my goodness Mrs. Joann is the best she fixed my cake from a misunderstanding....she was busy when I came but she treated me so nice so this is my new bakery....I live in the medical center and happen to come by...

  • Rena Reneaa

First time here today and my husband & I loved this little bakery. So much variety from cookies to cakes we couldn't even decide thank you so much to the cashier Jordan for picking out our yummy cookie box! …

  • L E

This is my go-to bakery for years. They have the best vanilla & butter cream cake I've tasted. I ordered at least 4 every year for various occasions. They also offer a lot of others pastries all equally delicious

  • Marie Bailey

A little pricey, but the cupcakes here are SO good and they’re pretty big. Cheesecake and Lemon cupcakes are awesome! Chocolate one is a little rich, but if you’re a die hard chocolate lover, go for it!

  • Riva Ap

I love, love, love its Key Lime Pie. Not too sweet, just enough tangy-goodness. The smell was heaven while driving home. I bought twice from this story and the quality hasn't changed. Really good.

  • Leopoldo Dorantes

Finest Kosher pastries, bread, and bakery in the Area! Don't even think about it, just go and experience the taste! Once is all it takes, and once is all you'll ever need! Have at it, and Enjoy!

  • Robert Turney

My wife and I love Three Brothers Bakery. Our favorite item is the Death By Chocolate cupcakes. If you love chocolate you must get one. I've never been so overwhelmed with chocolate!!! OMG.

Stopped in to get a break from the hospital and this is a great bakery with even better staff! This bread and danish are wonderful. And bonus for having great coffee as well! Thank you!

A great bakery in Houston. All the bakery things to gain weight. Moderation is the key. The staff are fantastic and friendly.

  • Elizabeth Ashley Buck

Small little shop to sate your most intense sweet tooth. The selection is overwhelming, but that’s always a good thing.

  • Han BB

Among the worst chocolate cake ever tasted, too much butter cream and the cake itself is dry, didn’t like it at all.

  • heather koerner

Wanted something rich and indulgent for my birthday dessert. Three Brothers Bakery cupcakes did not disappoint!

  • Carl Carreira

Outstanding bakery. Not only delicious treats for everyone, but also beautiful, clean, and very organized.
