This place is horrible they stick too much in one bag causing a crack in the beer can, making it leak all over my bag (mind you this was within just a few minutes of purchasing it I did not drop the back or anything just simply set it in my car) so the bag leaks all over my car and the nuts I bought from them are soaked. I drive back to show them that I was just there and they stuck too much in one bag they said there is nothing they can do "legally" they wouldn't give me any credits or even a replacement bag of nuts for the inconvenience and lack of bagging correctly. They tried to even blame me for it wouldn't take any fault for their actions and manager refused to give me his name. Will never go there again.

Better prices everywhere else. The staff does not care that the homeless are asking for change while you shop. Selectively enforcing mask mandate. They will let you pay for the maskless homeless person's 40 in front of you (so he doesn't have to beg due to not having exact change) but will tell you no mask no service as the cashier literally isn't even wearing their mask properly or enforcing it on the full BIPOC patrons. Confusing since I can submit photos of various maskless patrons completing their purchase but that's a "privacy issue" but they will tell me they don't want my money but will take it when im donating it to other maskless customers. Sheep.

I honestly haven't been inside "The Bird of Paradise" Liquor Store or Bar ("The Bird" is what we used to call it) in many, many years. Then the bar was re-named "Antonio's" and now, it's re-named again, and my guess is it's still the same ol' hang out, but I just don't know and I don't drink or really go to bars or liquor stores anymore, so I cannot say with any certainty it's fine or good, or bad for that matter... Sorry about that!!

Disappointing, I love the Bird but tonight both of the clerks were not wearing masks. When I asked the one helping me to cover his mouth/nose he refused to help me. He told the other clerk to help me who responded by saying he was eating so could not wear his mask either. I just left but it was a much different experience than the great, friendly customer experience I usually get there. I won’t be returning until after the pandemic.

I used to love this place until I found out I was paying way too much for a pint of Yukon Jack $12. The place I go now they charge $6.50 + tax. I felt like going to the bird and show them my receipt and deman a refund for all the times I was charged $12. Oh and I've always been able to get me a couple of boxes with no questions asked. This employee yelled at and told I can only have one. I thought he was kidding. He wasn't. AHole!

Had a horrible experience. First time, I was just trying to buy one beer. Had to wait like 7 minutes because the cashier was busy eating. When I finally got up to cashier he proceeded to take one more bit of his boneless wings with his bare hands then went to touch my ID without ever wiping his hands off. Asked him to wipe his fingerprint off my ID and got refused service. It's all good. Took my money elsewhere.

I shop here quite often usually most of their prices are unnegotiably Fair. Not to mention conveniently located in the heart of the war zone so you know business is always good LOL but other than that the employees are fairly friendly prices are great I do wish there bar was a little bit better but I love playing pool here

I live in the neighborhood and come here to get a quick 6 pack or three. The staff here has always been chill with good costumer service. It may not have all the selections of beer, wine, spirits that you may find at other locations, but the vibe has always been good even though it’s located in the crazy part of town.

The Bird is a long standing go-to liquor store for folks in the Southeast in the neighborhoods between Gibson Blvd. and Lead/ Zuni.(roughly from Yale to Louisiana would be my guess given the locations of competitors in the SE). The prices are about what you'd expect, the store is clean, and the staff are very helpful.

Employee was really friendly, he asked if we had a mask I told him I forgot it I thought that meant we had to leave but he politely provided us with one. He told us he forgets his all the time my friend only speaks Spanish but , he spoke to her also and speaks better Spanish then I do. Really friendly and helpful.

Liquor store cashiers are really friendly and remember you and treat you like a friend. Selection is good. This business is a good neighbor in the area. The restaurant is good when you want something unique. The bar could definitely use some fixing up, but there aren't many other options for a neighborhood bar.

Went to the bird hotpot first. And that was quality . After when right next door annd grabbed drinks fast service . A lil empty but it works for what it is . im sure no one goes here and say " hmm that alot of clutter i think ill buy my spirits elsewhere" . but serioisly its fine

It's open til midnight but letting people walk in with a firearm that very obviously sticking out of their pocket in plain sight when there is a sign on the door stating "no guns allowed" still allowing them in is bad business for them and costumers also a safety issue

I give it five stars because the customer service is awesome they make feel welcomed almost like family. The only thing I don't like is the people outside sometimes harass you for some change other than that a great store for a quick drink and some snacks !

I went to his liqour store a couple times and they refused service to me and said that I was too drunk but did not refund my money on my credit card. The cashiers are gheto and allow just about anyone inside and they could care less about there jobs.

Nice neighborhood place. Only thing that would make this place better is to have more bands playing on weekends which they rarely do. But liquor store department is with large selection and awesome people who work there. Very kind to the locals

This restaurant figured out a way to do Mongolian hot pot that makes sense for diners. We have always done our own at home, it's nice to have a place to go that has done all the work. Lot's of flavors and heat levels to choose from.

I get out early this place is only a block from my house. Only problem whenever I do feel like a beer its never open on time. Ill just go to the gas station spend the extra on gas instead the higher prices here from now on.

Limited hard liquor. Asked for lime vodka on several different visits they don't carry it. Good beer selection though.
