"This place was awful"
"Great experience personally, and the only reason I rated 4* is when I went majority of the mains I wanted to order, was unavailable"

"They have done well with this place, it really is a little gem in the heart of Sudbury"
This place was awful....the food took ages to come and was not worth the money(it was extremely expensive) there was a £13.00 SERVICE CHARGE which was a joke because the service was poor for example....we booked for 6pm to 8pm only to find out that the kitchen did not open until 7pm....so we complained and we were given extremely time but my point is why take a booking for that time knowing that food would not be available for an HOUR....my food was awful I ordered the lamb Shish wrap....the lamb was so chewey that I had to cut it up like baby food to swallow it and i think i had 5 pieces of lamb ...there was no salad and when I asked for garlic sauce it came as some sort of paste and I couldn't even identify it....and then they charged me £2.50 and I couldn't even eat it....the food for myself was not worth the money...no one explained that the kitchen did not open until 7 o clock I will never go back again and when I got home I was still very hungry, and that's a first for me....my family who had other dishes said that there food was OK but mine was awful....and one more thing is I asked for chocolate fudge cake and cream....they said "we only have ice cream" but I don't eat ice cream how can a restaurant not have cream , anyway I ordered the cake plain and I couldn't eat it as it was too sweet without cream.....anyway I won't go back ......its not worth the money the service was slow I did not like the food it was not enough and it was chewy and tasteless if I did not have some sauce from my sisters food it would have been unpalatable they had no cream and that is a standard topping with a desert in any restaurant, and as I said before I left hungry....I won't be back

Great experience personally, and the only reason I rated 4* is when I went majority of the mains I wanted to order, was unavailable. I will say that I ended up ordering the lamb shish and it tasted lovely, and the pasta dishes I saw the table next to me had ordered, smelt and looked incredible. The menu actually has a decent variety I would say, so there's something for everyone. Now the cocktails 10/10 they are a whole new experience if I'm honest, deliciously mouthwatering. The service was good and most of the staff try to be attentive to your needs. The decor, atmosphere and entertainment of the night also 10/10, the place looked great literally a influencers dream. On the night I attended it was so ladies night so they had male dancers, clothed sorry to disappoint those who got ahead of themselves lol, but seriously the guys was great, they dance very well literally put on an in sync, playful show. Also Aura had a saxophone player for the evening who was also talented, he doubled as the dj which created a great atmosphere for night with everyone working as a team. On the night it was 2 peoples birthday, so Aura staff sang happy birthday, with a lovely light, sparklers and dancers display for the lucky birthday guest, with I thought was really nice touch. On the night Aura was also nice enough to give me and my friend a complimentary shot, as we had to wait a little long for a drinks, personally I'm the type of person to complain about bad service, and I hadn't felt I'd recieved that on the night I attended. Overall I'd definitely return to Aura as they have other themed night, I'm Interested in experiencing. Also I would recommend going to Aura, it's good quality for a reasonable price, and it's personally a good dining experience.
It can be hard to get hold of the venue to make a large group booking. They do not return calls. Once I did get through and make a booking, the communication seemed really good. A deposit was required, which was not a problem until it was not taken off of our bill. We queried it, and then they removed part of the amount paid, not the full amount. After asking for the bill a third time, they then asked what deposit we had paid despite requiring a screenshot of the payment and text confirmation of the amount in the booking process. We were told upfront would only have the table for 2.5 hours but informed we could move into the club area. Despite only booking the day before, at no time were we advised that we would need to pay to enter the club area. We had the set menu option 2. The food was good. There is plenty of food served in each course; however, we were given the option 1 food instead of 2. When we raised this, we were originally challenged, and then the staff bought out some of the missing items, not all. As a group of 9 the extra £90 for 2-3 prawns per person across starters and mains, in my opinion, was not worth it as other items were missing. We did not receive the spicy potato and one of the starters. The mains were good; however, it seemed like the food was on the grill a little longer than it should have been, and the meats and prawns were overcooked. While eating dessert and waiting for our bill, the next group came to our table stating they had booked the table as they were waiting. We were not finished for reasons beyond our control and had to explain that we were waiting for the bill. This was a bit unprofessional to let them through the restaurant to do this. Despite some of these issues, I would recommend The Aura.
Visited here over the weekend for a friend's birthday, after travelling from South London, disappointing night to say the least. The falafels one of our party ordered were overcooked, extremely hard and couldn't be cut. The staff member offered her another plate, disappeared then came back with another plate...Which was the exact same plate he had taken. Waited 1 hour for food. Main arrived in 2 parts. Prawns arrived first, chips arrived 35/40 minutes later. We had finished our food and a friend's food had not even arrived. Explicit music playing throughout our meal. A late arrival to our party ordered 45 minutes after us and ended up being served before our food had even begun to arrive. £5 for a bottle of Water. £3/£4/£5 for a can of Redbull depending on what you look like and which member of staff serves you. I feel I need to warn anyone visiting here. If you need to go outside for anything you will not be allowed to re-enter, again dependent on what you look like. We witnessed multiple people frequently going in and out, on the phone etc with no issues. A member of our Party is disabled and had to change the time on the badge. The security advised them as long as they are there and back within 5 minutes they could re-enter. Whist I understand why this policy is in place, no where on their website is the "no re-entry policy" displayed. Considering this is so important, you would think it would be stated clearly. Disappointing night out, we went here last year and it was a throughly enjoyable night.
They have done well with this place, it really is a little gem in the heart of Sudbury. ID is requested on the way in and during busy times you need to book. From the entrance through to the restaurant it is a instagramers picture heaven. Our waitress Andrea was beautiful as well as her personality very warm, friendly and chatty. Took our order and had great knowledge of the menu and cocktails. She was able to suggest a variation that was not on the cocktail menu which is great as it shows excellent customer service and attentiveness, it came promptly as well as our starters and main. Prawns were to die and the beetroot sauce that was one of the 4 dips you get with the prawns was perfection we had lamb chops and the lamb shawarma all were very tasty. The decor and music at this venue is on point and the evening entertainment was a nice touch and you can order shish to your table, it really made you feel like you were in a Mayfair restaurant. Don't let the surroundings outside the venue fool you as when you walk in you are in another dimension. It has a big club area which you can go to after you eat apparently gets very bust from about 12 as they close at 3am if your into that, I am not. Will be back for food again most definitely as the food was delightful and the customer service from our waiters and servers Andrea, John and Henry was wonderful, there was another great young lady but didn't get her name. This is a place you must visit at least once.
Venue, food and drinks are lovely Service is more than terrible which is such a let down Examples : -no menus to order food (so guests are required to download menus in a dimly lit restaurant) only to order with the waiter ? Unnecessary hassle, and if we are moving to paper free why can’t we order drinks/food online ? Took so much time and effort . - food arrived at different times, vegan guest received meat, and mains served then told one main dish wasn’t available -calling the waiter to order more drinks, provide napkins, cutlery etc was falling on deaf ears. Asked several times but staff was very unorganised -birthday package purchased and staff forgot to bring out cake , chased several times -bar staff in club area was unable to make cocktail as there was only one bartender that knew how to make them -bill was nothing to what was expected. Did not detail the deposit and included items we did not purchase Lastly, the DJ in the club didn’t allow the music to play more than 10seconds. He definitely wasn’t playing for the audience Such a shame as the idea of the venue has so much potential. I went there before in Jan and was met with much the same experience- service was terrible… I don’t think the staff are organised or care But if you did receive the dish you ordered and was able to try their cocktails… they are delicious! And a great place to take pictures! So much potential …so it feels much like a waste I wouldn’t recommend
Let’s start with the service, I think staying at home for the past year due to the pandemic has made the staff at Aura lose their ability to actually serve customers with a smile. It’s like people have forgotten how to communicate. The food was cold, bland and basic. No flavouring on any of the dishes we ordered. Asked for ketchup and mayonnaise but it never turned up. Tried their bang bang sauce which cost extra £2 let’s say I wanted to leave the restaurant with a bang after the disappointment. The chips was so over cooked and oily it felt like it was scraped from the bottom. £8 for a mocktail that was basically rubicon mango with a bit of grenadine sunk to the bottom, topped with a curled orange peel to make it look fancy. You can’t charge customers central london restaurant prices in a dingy area by serving £1 rubicon mango in a glass. The food and the service is just appalling. Don’t be fooled with what you see on Instagram. Save your money and avoid this place.
1. The communication is the worst I've ever seen in this place. I've been trying to call for 2 days and they couldn't even pick up. Which is embarrassing. 2. The restaurant looked closed from the outside which felt uncomfortable as I tried to open the door and it was 5pm but it was locked and no one was opening the door until 5:10pm. Our booking was at 5pm. They made us wait outside for 10 minutes. They even answered the door and still didn't open. 3. The interior design is nice however it was a bit too dark. 4. The golden prawns that cost around £10 was just tempura prawns from Iceland... And it was just 4 prawns already dipped in different sauces which I didn't understand why they would do that because the dip wasn't even good and we couldn't choose the dip. 5. Also the lamb shwarma could definitely be better. They were cold too. Overall I'd say that there r better places to eat. Aura is better for pictures rather than the service...
We had a table booked here for a friends birthday last September, there was about 10 of us. From the outside it looks as though the place is closed or doesn't exist but once you find the door and enter the decor is amazing, its definitely instagram worthy. The cocktails are 10/10 they taste amazing and some come in really cool funky glasses. Food was stunning, most of us had chicken with rice and salad and at first glance the portions don't look that big but its more than enough, my plate felt never ending as no matter how much I ate there was still loads of food on my plate, I shared mine with the birthday boy. The restaurant has a really good vibe from start to finish front to back. The music was on point and like I said from the entrance to the toilets the dance floor and the restaurant part the decor was amazing, we thoroughly enjoyed taking pics throughout the place.
I am still absolutely devastated by this experience! My friend and I went here a few weeks ago, we had 1 'Killing Me Softly cocktail' each and I ate some food; fries and prawns. The next day, from the moment I woke up, I started throwing up multiple times throughout the day. I then called my friend, who confirmed they too were throwing since they woke up also. I then called and emailed to try to get through to staff and finally spoke to management once they were open to get answers as to what exactly we ingested. The bar man ended up giving me details of the mixture and what was in this cocktail as the manager failed to do so! Something was clearly off! maybe it was the guava juice or the rum proof mixture was too high, but I have never in my life had this experience after drinking 1 cocktail. Maybe the head shaped mug wasn't clean properly. I guess I'll never know!
Absolutely disgraceful treatment by very rude staff. Went there for my wife's birthday and before even greeting us the lady very rudely said "your booking is only for 2hrs and you have to leave the table then". We hadn't even sat down properly before she repeated it again. 30mins later someone else came over to do the same and all they seemed to care about was turnover. Meanwhile everything we ordered either came very very late or never did all together. Later in the night we were effectively kicked out with 3 staff again taking turn to ask us to leave and even refused to bring over the birthday cake. If that wasnt enough they also wanted to charge us £135 more by pretending to forget to deduct the deposit we had already paid from the bill. Definitely stay away and would not recommend to plan any group events in this place.
More for aesthetics? In? Terms of the special fruit infused shisha it wasjokay but not that special for £50 aswell its Mainly for the looks. The normal shisha pipes were a Bit better. The decor was really? Nice with tropical rainforest vibes. The pasta was okay but i got the chicken pasta i didn't expect a bowl of pasta with a side of chicken, that didn't have too much flavour the pasta wasn't bad but didn't have tons or flavour, was expecting a rich creamy chicken pasta,. Was a bit disappointed. Cocktails were okay the berry one was better than The mango tasted mainly like rubicon mango. The dessert was okay but they gave us one which was a bit burnt so we Asked for a New one. Overall nice experience decent shisha but mainly for aesthetics.
It was my friends birthday yesterday and we went out to celebrate. We were very disappointed as we spent £400 and an additional £50 service charge which goes into the managers pocket and not the actual staff who was lovely. We were then told we had to pay an additional £100 for accidently tripping and knocking over a shisha which then broke we managed to negotiate the price down to £50 as we had spent so much already. The waiters came up to us and apologised for their managers behaviour they were clearly trying to make more money out of us. They called security to watch us for the remaining time and made us feel very unwelcomed we will never be coming back.
I booked my table online 20mins before arrival, but it did look like they would have space for walk-ins, 8pm Thurs evening. Very nicely decorated, the DJ was amazing!! The heater system is great, I didn't feel cold at all. Drinks were half price - I'm not sure why. I had the lamb burger which was delicious, and a mango mocktail. Very filling. I did see some people order a dry ice decorated dessert which looked fun. And a few birthdays - the staff come out with candles and birthday music. The shisha was great, smooth, disposal pipes - Using a heat management system, lasted 2hrs. I would visit again.
Visited on Saturday. Place looks lovely, brilliant decor. Service was a little slow, possibly due to how busy the place was. We ordered a bottle of gin, they didn't have Hendricks or Tanqueray, the waiter advised we try bombay bramble, we eventually agreed after being told that not many people drink gin hence they don't keep the popular brands. When the first bottle finished, we ordered another, only to be told they didn't have the same we ordered. It's not good, but we saw past that. The entertainment of the dancer and fire eater was really good. Didn't try the food, so I can't really comment.
If I could give this lot 0 stars I would. Visited here around 3 weeks ago if not longer, me and my friend both received cold food. Sent it back and it came back, reheated. Calamari couldn’t have been more chewy, we were both up all night vomiting with food poisoning. Sent an email and was told someone would get back to me, still waiting for that, which is appalling! So instead I thought I’d leave a review for everyone to read prior to ordering food here. Sort your food safety standards out and customer service. If you say you’ll be replying to a complaint - you really should follow through.
Celebrated sister’s big 3 oh here. Food was okayish and the menu was limited. The prawns were a bit disappointing tbh but liked the chicken shish and hummus. The entertainment, decor and shisha were just amazing! The staff was nice and accommodated our requests. I also ordered their birthday platter for my sister and loved the birthday song and cheer but the dessert was literally cream cheese on a whole digestive biscuit and a bit of caramel sauce on top. Loved my evening out with girls because the entertainment and sheesha was really good.
Nice decor, but the food and service was very poor more than 2 hours just to get nachos. The server had the worst attitude, she brought the bill before we got any food and said that other people have waited longer. We ended up waiting 2 and a half hours to get MOST of our food and they completely forgot about two. They also had the audacity to get rude afte we complain about the food which is unacceptable.managers could not attend to our delay in food. Compensation would not compensate for the managements attitude. Would not recommend.
It's my first visit here and pleased with ambience of the aura as justifying name . Pretty team and good quality hospitality especially like to add that In my whole stay here i saw 3 birthday celebrations and all three times they done different one slim girl small one is so amazing and energetic throughout sorry as not aware of her name. Overall good food and had good time. Thanks to daniela if i am not wrong who made dessert for me even kitchen closed and she made warm brownie chocolate dessert. Recommended for those who love shisha.
Our booking was delayed by 1 hour as they hired the venue for an independent party. We got no alternative and were led to sit in the quiet room for 1 hour without service. The staff sat at the opposite table and started to watch Youtube videos and eat their food. It was an extremely unprofessional start. The food was better but small in portion. However, it was transparent the staff were low-paid and overworked, so they looked run down and tired. Unfortunately would not be visiting or recommending this venue.
What an experience ! Its a perfect place for the date night. Me and my wife enjoyed our experience. This was our first time in The Aura. Food : its good for startes bits as some may say ! Mains Could be better ! And more optins could be added ! Drinks: cocktail are amazing the bartender is great at what he is doing. (Didn't meet him) work is great. I ordered around 4 or 5 cocktail and all were great ! I would recommend this place any day !
Came for a birthday celebration over the weekend. The staff were very very slow - took an hour for 2 shisha pipes to come and a round of drinks. We ordered food at the very beginning too, but weren’t able to eat as they were taking too long. Was hard to call the waiters/waitresses over as they were never around or would be too busy talking to each other. It’s a shame as it is a nice venue and the DJ played really good music. Shouts to the DJ.
Great decor, nice food in a nice atmosphere. I recommend the Sea Bass. As a side note, this restaurant puts “service charge” on the bill - I’m always happy to pay it in the knowledge that it is shared amongst the service staff, however on this occasion one of the waiters made clear that this charge goes back to the owners/managers rather than the waiting or kitchen staff - poor show, do better for your people.

The Aura lounge is nightlife venue, the spot has a spectacular interior & fresh ambiance. Their menu features casual, fresh and delicious bites, perfect for eating alone or sharing with friends. Location is perfect and their drinks menu has chakra cocktails that are really refreshing. The Dj plays music, that addes to the perfect vibes with great shisha Bring your friend or partner and enjoy the beautiful aura Highly reccommended!!!!!
Honestly, this place was so pretty inside, the drinks were fun and the food was delicious, well the chicken wrap that I had was delicious. The music was also really good! Honestly can't complain about anything, well except we booked for 25 but had to sit staggered as there wasn't enough space for us all at the tables we had

My parents came to visit me yesterday from Italy and I took them to the aura. They completely loved it . The manager Douglas and the waiter dhruv in particular were super nice with us and let us feel At home . The owner raj was so nice to find me a table last minute for my parents. I really enjoy and love that place and I really recommend everyone to tried. It’s very nice and relaxed for spending a night out there .
What a lovely experience. My girlfriend enjoyed her birthday so much. We couldn't ask for anything better for her birthday. We had our food and drinks in the lounge and then we moved to the club. Both places are such a vibe. Aura is a different realm you enter when you visit the place. I will be bringing my girlfriend again. Shout out to JayP who took care of us from the start till end. AURA you are a vibe.
I came here alone for Valentine’s Day but I have to say was the best Valentine’s Day I spent alone treating myself. All the staff was so nice. Gave amazing service and Sam was also really amazing. They took a nice pic for me. Food and atmosphere was amazing. Will revisit here for sure. Money well spent. Such a busy day and I came as a walk in but treated with so much care. I only have good things to say.
Never go there in big groups. The manager is rude and demanded we leave the table due to there mess up of overbooking. We had to have our desserts in the night club with no plates or spoons. They charged £100 for four sparklers. The customer service was atrocious and poor they lacked communication and didn’t enjoy the experience and would never go back here again. The food wasn’t that great either.
Horrible food and even worse service. Had to wait 1hr for a glass of water... I asked multiples members of staff and they kept saying OK. We had a group of 15 and reserved the set meal. We were given desserts to eat with no plates or cutlery. Had to eat dessert with my hands. Worst experience I ever had in a restaurant. Please don't to and waste your money. Food was OK. Not worth the price.
I was so excited to come to this place because was my birthday… but it wasn’t a very good experience to be honest. Firstly the DJ couldn’t accept any music request which was bit annoying and secondly they made us pay £100 just because my friend broke by accident one of the shisha glass which for me me was a unbelievable. On top of that our bill was £455 so it is not a cheap place to go.
The Aura is lit. Came here on a Sunday thinking iy would be chill but they had a saxophone player. A saxophone player ffs. VIBES . The food was the type you wanted after a night out clubbing. To die for. Vishal was our server and he was so kind. Honestly guys come here. It was also packed so the vibe was high. Thank you THE AURA for helping me celebrate my birthday
Disappointed by their services and overall manner with customers. They were supposed to get a cake for my friend on her birthday and they completely ignored us regarding the fact that we’ve asked them to. Nearly got kicked out terribly after our reservation time was finished. Rude staff at the front door as well as serving staff. Overall terrible experience.
Went here for a night out with friends. Spent around 2+ hours doing shisha. We had the Strawberry Mojito and the Fanta Fruit Twist flavours. For food we ordered the regular fries, sweet potato fries and cheesy potato mash. Also had the Demitasse Martini as well as the Jasmine tea. The staff is very friendly and quick with their service, always being around.
I visited The Aura Loughton on a dinner date this month and I am lost for words. The food was amazing especially the starters and the customer service was exceptional. The cocktails were great as well, GET THEIR LONG ISLAND ICE TEA !! Definitely would recommend. The total bill for the night was roughly £150 but we ordered a lot of food.
Highly recommended, amazing restaurant with friendly and professional staff. Food was amazing and atmosphere was just lovely. Celebrated my 40th Birthday here and will return again next Friday for a party they are hosting.

Love their cocktails and service. Shisha is good too. Loved the concept change but had prefered the previous place as Ayla was more chilled out staffs were more friendly and could go anytime when we felt like, now u can only get in if u have prior bookings where mostly its full coz the seating now have reduced too.
Our first time in The Aura, an environment very different from the outside! I really enjoy the food. Big positions, good quality and lovely staff. Drinks were lovely and classy, Meet (one of the staff) suggested us two drinks based on our taste... I am still dizzy thank you Meet for the recommendation. …
I have visited here previously and again recently a fantastic vibe, amazing drinks also. I actually was celebrating a promotion and they accommodated though I didn't have a booking also great for both a chilled or club night

The food was disgusting. Ordered shawarma but was served a cold doner and the salad was literally just lettuce with pickle on top. Chips were drenched in oil and had no potato flavour. Although we waited almost an hour for the food it came out cold and wet?! It was my first and last time in this place.
This place is lit we had so much fun! Very good food, good ambiance, good entertainment and excellent service by daks and the rest of the team. The only thing that is need to improve is the loo, quiet small and needs improvement with cleanliness. Aside from that, everything is very good. …
@aditya @payal helped in making my day special as it was my birthday and made a good show and the food was also awesome and we will keep on coming and the changes of the vip table were something new and it gave vibe of jungle

.the environment and shisha was great . Customer service was very poor, communication was zero while waiters got the orders. They didn’t have most of the food and desert we wanted to order in their kitchen in day week . .and price is too high for that area . Don’t recommended .
Had a amazing valentines with me and my boyfriend, the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious it was big enough for me and my partner to share we spent a very reasonable price for what was delivered. High recommend and thank you for the champagne …

Seemed lovely , but me and my partner waited 1 hour for our food that was never put through after asking 3 times, asked the server for updates and then she never came back , seemed dumbfounded when I mentioned that she never put through our order.
This was my 2nd time going there and I will be going back. The service was amazing the lovely Dhruv took great care of us ones aging. The food came quickly. Everything was cooked to absolute perfection. I would highly recommend The Aura.thank you
A place to avoid if you are seeking for the quality of food and customer service. I had to wait for each drink and food order for about 30-40 minutes. There were plenty of staff members available but they all were busy watching pole dancers!
Aura is amazing place I visited in London, i can give 10 out of 10,I would say best shisha i had it in my life, food is very delicious, I recommend it for for everyone, price is reasonable, @Adi is amazing, He gave me excellent service. More
Great, fresh food. Amazing shisha! Service 10/10 and the belly dancer was incredible and the most beautiful women (amazing skills, amazing performance) 100% recommend. Me and my friend coming back here every time, it became our usual place!
Had such a lovely time at Aura! Been here several times and they always look after me and my friends! I recommend the food/drinks/vibes in this beautiful place! A special thank you to Darshan and the rest of the staff working here tonight!
Visited here last Saturday for my birthday and had an amazing night! The food was amazing, portions were great. The vibes were lit! Our host, Mit, was super helpful and organised. It was a great night and worth the trip! Would recommend
Very nice setting, warm and welcoming. Comy seats on both sides. The food portions are on point and staff were very nice. Ashame we couldn't enjoy any shisha, but it's the perfect setting to kick back and enjoy a good date night.
I was there for breakfast at the hotel and to be honest I didn’t really like the food. However the staff were really friendly and helpful.

The shisha the vibe and the DJ were amazing, really enjoyed and Nora was an excellent waitress she made our night more special and was very helpful , will definitely visit again when coming back to London.
Fantastic service at Aura Lounge even for a Thursday evening. Food was perfectly presented and tasted amazing. The cocktails are perfectly balanced and taste fantastic! The saxaphonist was a great touch.
Went for a friend's 50th. Very nice decor from the inside, outside not so much. The food portions are delicious & plentiful as part of the set menu. There's a separate dance area with bar too.
Went to the club on a Saturday night. Venue was good, great entertainment and the DJ played an awesome set. Staff were friendly too. Great we could have shisha in the club. A good night out.
Good food, good shisha, good decor and good vibes. Docking one star due to very rude security at the door and for not having a walk in system and only doing reservations. Otherwise... Great!
This is the second time I have been here and it’s my FAVOURITE place to go Shisha is nice, food is so tasty, the drinks are strong and the music is A VIBEE!! Defo coming back 100%
