I initially came here for an inspection, and immediately got the feeling that these were good people. They were very friendly and genuinely conversational to me and the other customers in the store. It was a really old school feel for those who understand walking into a business and being on a first name basis with everyone. Decided to come back up get some work done on my 2016 Cadillac ats, and my experience has given me complete confidence that this will be my go to mechanic for as long as I live in this area. They are knowledgeable, very transparent, and did a thorough job of diagnosing the problem, and fully testing their work after it was complete. Upon picking up the car, they explained everything in detail and informed me on what to look out for over the next coming months. For anyone living in west Houston, I would recommend you come here not only for a hassle free experience, but a first class one better than you will receive at any dealership. This team offers incredible service and support. Their collective knowledge of the vehicles they service is amazing. Extremely resourceful for hard to find parts. The rates are competitive and their explanation of the scope of the work needed and the costs/options involved are transparent. The shop is incredibly clean, and your car will be super cleaned before it leaves. I dropped the car in for service last week and felt like I left with a brand new 2009 Saab, and it drove better than an equivalent BMW. I need it to keep this car running for a reasonable cost in the current situation and this team understands.

Hello my name is Jose and i own a Jr's transmissions in pasadena,tx and i own a 2004 saab 9-3 and i had my engine out of the vehicle due to a headgasket and i couldn't assemble the engine back to its proper timming and i called several shops in town and they all just hang the phone on me . I came across Texas Automotive Performance on google and i gave them a phone call and i talked to Thomas and he gladly told me he would help me out and i took my engine overthere and they got out of their way to help me out . I used to go to another nearby Volvo specialized mechanical shop for years. However, yesterday after I replaced a new battery, the airbag service light was on. I know the airbag system is OK, just need to reset the light using a software tool. I called my Volvo mechanics; they asked for $56 for a two-minute job. So I try this one, Texas Automotive Performance. They said it is FREE. So I went to there, and they did the job as they said. Thank you very much! I will come back if needed.

I found several good reviews about this place and all seem legit. Remarkable job done on our Saab by Thomas and his crew this past week. His estimation process was prompt and very accurate. Their work was top notch, prices are very fair, no false promises and the job was completed even before his very reasonable original estimate of time. I forgot, my car was returned completely washed. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I purchased my 1998 Volvo S70 from TAP used car lot. It was used and had many miles on it. I was apprehensive at first to purchase such a high mileage vehicle , however I am glad to report I just hit 200k and it runs like a champ. They have since taken over all the service on my Volvo as well as My Pontiac Trans Am WS6 I could not be happier with the service and care I get at Texas Automotive Performance.

Thomas & company took great care of me and my crazy requests on very short notice. Thank you guys! Update: Visited TAP twice in recent months for engine stalling and starting issues. After each visit my car died and had to be towed. Painfully disappointed that TAP was unable to identify the cause of my engine stalling issues nor able to recognize that my battery needed to be replaced.

Called to get a quote on clutch replacement labor. Fair price but i decided to undergo it myself. Justin who answered the phone was able to give me really good pointers on the job and things to look out for while doing it. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient with me. All of my questions were answered, i would definitely recommend this place! Nice and friendly staff

10/10 Amazing service! I came in after my car stopped on the freeway and decided to have it towed to TAP. It was such a stressful situation but Isaiah and his team were so helpful and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. TAP is officially my shop for all my maintenance needs and I will definitely recommend this shop to any of my family and friends!

Nickel and dime you. Did not complete my work. When I went back for an adjustment they found a bunch of new work needed never mentioned before. On top of all this they charged me 90 bucks to look at my car. They Installed a part Which is not working the way the owners manual states. Ghey claim the manual is wrong. Little too arrogant for me never go back.

They have saved my 9-3！My car was damaged by water, and they replaced the engine, in a short time. I have been coming to TAP for times, this shop does a great job on repairs. They do everything quickly and the prices are fair. Tomas and his crew are pro. Even though I do not live in Houston, every visit to them is worth.

Tomas and his guys not only fix my car I feel like they are looking out for me , like they really care. When is the last time a repair shop recommended not fixing something? Who does that? People who put their customers before the all mighty dollar! What honest men!
