My son has football practice there 5 days a week. The park is very large, always clean, and cut. If iure not used to walking up and down hills, that might be the only problem due to the field itself being at the bottom of the hill. Getting back to your car or the sidewalk is an uphill walk. They have a large dog park lining the park as well, which is easily accessible for people with dogs. The only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is a lack of bathrooms.

Despite the areas of brown grass and dying tree's, I hear city parks all over town are in a state of not being properly maintained. This park has been fairly empty of homeless hanging out in fortunately. So it is a pleasant place to walk, despite the litter that scars our parks. Very few people bother to pick up litter. Would visit again, no drinking fountains, so bring your own water. Dog park has water May through October.

Nice area for kids and dogs. Plenty of space to toss a Frisbee or whatever and usually not bother anyone else. Originally designed as flood control so if it's rained much recently might be soggy.
Dog-friendliness
Lots of dogs in both the fenced dog area and grassy area depending on the day and time.

We love it because of the park/library combination. The park has large grass areas, some better than average playground equipment, and beautiful views of the mountains. The library has the magic of books, plus a bathroom and water fountain.

Love this park my children are always smiling because it has alot of fun rides and is also good for my kids to ride bikes around the trail way. My wife also loved it she also played some basketball with me and my older son.

Good place to exercise and has activities for kids. Lots of open space with a top and bottom. Top had a beautiful view of the city. I mostly go to play basketball. No restroom. Dog friendly. Playground on top and bottom.

The newer playground equipment on the South end of the park is great. However, the older equipment on the North end needs to be updated and replaced because some pieces are unsafe for little ones.

This is a good park with a huge dog park. Unfortunately, that's not enough for some people. There are SO many dogs outside of the dog park and without a leash. It makes it hard to enjoy the park.

My children love the playground and often meet new kids to play with. They usually spend most of our time there on the equipment and they are making use of the field lately to play catch.

My kids call this zip line park, and with the exercise equipment there too they are happy for hours. With the library next store you can run to the bathroom or refill a waterbottle too

This park is beautiful and fun. I love bringing my children here to play, throw a ball around and sit and relax. Thank you City of ABQ for keeping it so beautiful.

Nice small park with a nice playground. Great park to bring your dogs since there is a dog park onsite all. Library, grass field, playground and a dog park.

I love this park for my great grandson, he loves the Zipline. We drive 10 miles to come here. The park by my house is so old and tagged badly

We visit a lot of parks with my granddaughter and this is one of her favorites. We have to stop every time we go to the petroglyphs!

Great mix with the library and the park. Dog park is great when it's not crowded...but it is in high demand!

  • Debbie Perea

I've been to the library several times since visiting some relatives in the area and I really enjoy it.

The only thing that makes this place uncomfortable, are idiots with dogs off leashes.

It's a fun place to hang out. The little ones enjoy it, just as much as the big ones.
