Came in for a quick bite to eat with my partner as it was close by, and it didn’t seem to be a very busy night either. They ordered their food and had no complications. I ordered a regular quesadilla and asked our waitress if it would be okay to substitute the real chicken for the plant based chicken, we were told she would ask the kitchen first, which I thought was no big deal. Server never came back to clarify whether it was okay or not, so my partner and I assumed it was fine and that the substitution was approved. Quesadilla came out with no plant based chicken in it, just sautéed veggies? made a comment to our server who told us it would be dealt with. The manager/team lead for the evening came over to apologize and said a portion of our bill would be discounted for the wait time. Before the second quesadilla came out, my partner stopped our server and asked to clarify, “it’s the regular quesadilla substituted with plant based chicken. Not the vegan quesadilla.” We were assured that it was punched in correctly. However, got my second quesadilla, and it had vegan cheese? :/ Our server came around to ask if everything was okay, I said yes because I didn’t want to cause a fuss. However paying $20 for something I won’t eat seemed ridiculous, so my partner told our server about the mistake again and simply asked to have it taken off of our bill. Unfortunately at the same time heard one of the other servers talking about our table :/ Not a place I’d recommend

I really wish I wasn’t giving this 2 stars but tonight was not great. Showed up around 845pm for the roof top patio. Right after I got there my brother showed up and they wanted to charge cover. The patio had approx 6 people, one of which was the DJ. They didn’t charge him thankfully. It was wing night, but apparently if you’re on the patio they won’t serve you wings (too difficult for the kitchen is what we were told). In fact there is a bunch of stuff on the menu they give you that they don’t serve if you’re on the patio. Which makes me wonder why they don’t have a “patio” menu. After our drinks we decided to go downstairs to get more drinks and wings. When we got to the main floor via the elevator we went to the door to the restaurant and the security guard told us we couldn’t enter and would have to go around to the street entrance. Again, this place is basically empty. So we exited the building, walked around on the street to the main entrance, passed around 5-6 security guards and re-entered the restaurant. Why so much security at that hour? I was there from 9-10pm and the place was at most 10% full. Why cover? And why can’t you order food off the menu on the amazing roof top patio? Pictures I’ve posted are from this time frame.
First time at this Tavern and will never be back. Absolute worst experience. My fiancé has never been there so we wanted to check it out for our 9th year anniversary. We got there and had an awkward greeting by the guy at the front. We went up to the rooftop and things went well for the first bit. We ordered drinks and then ordered food (enough so we could bring it back to our hotel). The nachos we had ordered looked like the cheapest nachos I’ve ever seen. No flavour, no toppings, no cheese. We ordered wings as well and they came out at the same time as the nachos. They were ice cold all the way into the centre. When we told our server she had said she would get some new one made. She never offered a discount on our bill, for them to be taken off our bill or anything. Instead the manger came and asked how things were and we said not so great, our wings were ice cold. He as well said he would get some fresh ones made. Well by the time our warm wings came we were full from the “nachos” and didn’t even want our wings. Again no offer to take them off the bill or anything. Super disappointed and will NEVER be returning. Do your self the favour and try one of the other pubs around the area.
We were very happy with the presentation of this poutine. It tasted very good as well. I wasn't expecting to like it as much I did. I think ultimately their sauce must have been pretty good as it melded and combined everything in unison. The Speedway Poutine $15.99: This was squeaky cheese curds on chips with hot dogs wrapped in crisp bacon topped with beef chili and an American cheese sauce, loaded with jalapenos and crispy fried onions. This was a solid entry. My previous visits have been a mix of great to average. I did have one of the best nachos there in my life, but subsequently returned only to have a very subpar version. Tavern United is located in the Bell MTS place (as it is stated in the name). You can access it through the skywalks however, so you don't need to go outside, which is nice. Park and slowly meander on by if its cold and you don't have to see the sun.
My bestie took me out for a late lunch and the food was delicious. Let me tell you all the chef or chefs is what makes that place worth checking out . My bestie had a chicken sandwich of sorts. I believe it’s a Nashville chicken and I had the Celtic club . And even though that sounds simple or was absolutely delicious.Excellent portion sizes . Decent price , $6.00 nice size glass of house wine ( decent wine) happy hour . As far as the service I think it was good not great but not terrible . One thing I’ll have to ding you guys is the table cleanliness. I realize that it was very quiet but tables weren’t super clean. Nevertheless, this is by far the best tavern in Winnipeg. Support downtown businesses if you can and stop for a bit . Food was delicious and we will definitely be back with more friends. Cheers

Had a fabulous Rueben with a HUGE amount of perfectly cooked golden french fries. The menu is very extensive, with some great choices of appy's (which are on sale all day Tuesday, along with All Day Happy Hour on beverages). The Chicken Wings menu will blow you away, 28 flavors, on an easy to read flavor chart, see pic. Again I found a nice place to hang out and watch a game where ever you sit, they even have TV's in some of the booths. There is not a bad seat in the place, 2 levels of seating and enough room for a good gathering of friends, before, during or after the JETS crush the visiting team! Thanks to Bree for helping me with my food allergies to cheese and dairy. Oh, you have to try their St. Mary's sauce with your fries, very unique and tasty. Had a great time, my first visit to Winnipeg, love your city, hate the wind!
Were on the rooftop patio on this gorgeous day. Our server was a lovely young woman and very helpful. This is the most beautiful patio in wpg. They have music and dancing on Wed and Thurs eve. It had nice lounge chairs and couches and very elegant. Very nice for the young set. Food was good had perogie poutine . Happy Hour drinks from 11 to 7. 4.50 Plus tax.beer wine and shots. A very good experience in downtown peg. Were here for lunch with our nephew for lunch. Waitress very friendly and helpful. Food very good and cheap drinks. Went today for burger week 2018. Their hot dog burger 1 out of 5. Their lovely roof top patio has been spoiled by the new true north buildings. Blocks all the sun nearly and on a windy day it is quite cool and windy up there. They do have heaters tho. Only would go on a really hot day now.
I was impressed how good the flow of the service was here on a really busy night watching the Jets game. A friend of mine wanted to meet here before we went to the game inside the arena. Got the double smashed cheeseburger with fries. I like the way they cook it here, the cheese was nice and melted and just oozed out once you grab the top and bottom. It can get messy, but it was a tasty burger. The fries are nice and thick. The service for drinks was pretty good too, our waitress came back every 20 minutes to check up on us. It can get pretty packed in there during game nights, but I would come back here for sure to try their chicken wings, have heard positive feedback about their winds.
The roof top patio is the only patio you need to go to. Wow so exciting and fun. The drinks are basic the food is garbage. However the views and vibe are second to none. They have warming heaters and that helped keep us out till almost closing. Book your table for the patio in advance or you will have to wait 60-90 mins for a patio table otherwise. Also they lost a star because the wasps were terrible especially in August. We had sangri and we realized the wasps were only at our table and got beers and tomato based drinks. They need to try and help customers and put thinks to keep wasps away. Also elevators weren’t working and walking like three long flights in heels sucked.
I had reservations for last Sunday on their patio for a table of 8. We got there and they had closed the patio and said we had NO reservation. Very disappointing. The whole point was to sit together and enjoy the day. The person that talked to me was so clueless and deflected any responsibility as to why my reservation was not there. While my party was deciding what to do, 10 other people walked in and out as the patio was closed. The reason: it had rained for 2 seconds. Will not go back. Had a great time at Hargrave St. Market. So thank-you for that.
Had to ask for Cutlery, more water. Etc. Place was not busy but seemed unable to check in on us to make sure we had what we needed

I wish I can give half a star since it’s a good day. The service was horrible and the food took way to long over 1hr for 4 burgers and fries. We originally wanted wings on wing night but since it’s a jets game they wouldn’t do it which was odd. Food came and it was mediocre but the server didn’t give us any napkins or cutlery with out food. Server kept on saying food would take a few more minutes 3 times. I personally wouldn’t go to this location every again. Super disappointed
I love the wings and food here ! But service is a hit and miss. I usually eat on the second floor because it's less crowded but service is way faster on the first floor & rooftop patio.. But it is a lovely place that has a diverse mix of every type of ethnicity usually. I dont get weird "you don't belong here" vibes here like you do at some places downtown like Earl's, or Shark Club etc. I also like the music they play here. It's my fave place to go out too
Had a good dinner here with friends I highly recommend this place if you guys just want to relax with friends and have FUN As for the food! The food was cooked properly and was really hot when it came from our table! Also customer service was a wonderful experience as well so I will definitely going to go back here with friends again! THANK YOU for the wonderful service and see ya next time
Maria was our server on Friday night and she gave us a great experience! She was so welcoming and friendly and she made us feel at home! She was very helpful and willing to answer all of our questions and special requests. She said she was a vegetarian and she was very helpful explaining the vegan options to us! We don’t usually leave reviews but she did a great job and we think she should be recognized for it!
For my first time here, my experience was pretty great. Portion sizes were great for me, and their rooftop menu is more bar food than their dining room downstairs. The options are more limited, but still enough to satisfy a picky eater. The view from the rooftop is great and they have their own bar and kitchen so we didn't have to wait long for food. Would definitely go back when I have the chance.
Sat on the rooftop patio. Service was terrible. Had to wait half an hour for just a cup of coffee with no offer of refills. Meal missing coleslaw which suppose to come with it. Beer and meal not worth the prices paid. Servers were miserable. Even chairs were wet when I arrived and had to ask for them to be wiped down. All little irritants on their own but added up to an overall bad experience.
Had happy meal. Burger was good. Draft beer was included in happy meal but a coffee isn't? Or did the server not want to serve coffee on rooftop?

Good place to go for wing night. Unfortunately, their wings have gotten significantly more expensive (though, admittedly, I haven't been to a Tavern since COVID started, or maybe only once). It's now $10.99 with a beverage purchase. I may not go as often since that is pricey and I think there are other places to go to, but the wings are good. As are their corn dogs, chips and corn dip.
awesome spot to hit for bar hopping! also i think this is one of the only places in Winnipeg where you can get very pretty buildings in the background without too much clutter, if u need a place to go for insta pics this is it! the service is great considering how busy it always is and the drinks are great! it will be packed so call ahead and get your name on the wait list.
It was super packed due to the jets game, but our server still managed to keep up with us the whole meal which was super impressive! Definitely could never forget the CRATE YOUR OWN CAESAR! I've never had that before and it was worth every penny (same price as the traditional caesar!!). To have it personalized to my taste was incredible and the goblet was massive!
The restaurant was extremely busy as there was an event in the arena. We were pomptly seated and our drink orders taken right away. On event nights, the menu is condensed in order to keep the kitchen from being bombarded with items that take more time to prepare. Service was great, considering how busy the restaurant was. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
The food and drinks are good, and the patio is great during the summer. The service at the restaurant can be a bit slow and there is consistently very little if any dressing on the ceaser salads. Overall still a good place. Edit: -1 star as the frequency in which the restaurant is nearly empty during lunch and we get poor service still is a bit much.
Beautiful venue but experience could be much better, waited almost an hour for a couple orders of lukewarm wings which were then placed on a table beside us where they sat until we moved them to the table ourselves. Weren't even sure it was our food. I get that covid is a concern but every other restaurant will at least put the food in front of you.
Food was fantastic. Had the pulled pork poutine was great. Terrible service. Asked for cutlery 3 times. Napkins twice. I tipped but asked for 5 bucks back. She never came back for the rest of my money. Just terrible service.

Great spot for sports and beer, but food is not good at all. Wings were tiny and ribs might be the worst I’ve ever had. Extremely tough, I could barely pull them apart to eat. Skip the food and just come here to watch the game with a few beers.

The bar is usually quiet but has its rowdier nights for sure. Very laid back atmosphere, decent bathroom (only downstairs available) and the gaming lounge is upstairs and fairly ample amount of machines. The food is good and drink prices are reasonable as well, and the staff is very kind and personable. Definitely recommenz
Went inside to dine and then on the rooftop for drinks. Nice atmosphere, not too club-like and quite a bit livelier than the average bar. Wasn’t too loud or too crowded even though there were lots of people. Would recommend. Wings are good, drinks are good, service is good, and atmosphere as well. What more do you want.
Terrible food, and on top of that came out cold. Burger was super dry, and the cheese barley melted. Jerk wings.. had ZERO flavor, absolutely no spice or kick. it was dead, and our good took long. someone else had to bring it out. Terrible expirience

I am highly impressed with the management, staff and security from Nov 19th, I had a first date turning bad! (Very scary situation!) I Have gone to the I believe was the floor manager and security, they quickly and quietly handled the situation with expertise and professionalism! Thank you so much!!
pleased with my experience - great sports bar with lots of TVs, beers/drinks, and a very extensive menu. Everything i tried off the menu was very tasty with fantastic execution. service was very good and attentive. vibe was just right for a sports bar setting. prices were fair. would recommend!

Pros: great patio in summer time - although unsure of how much sun there is now because of the new buildings around it. Hydro really blocked it out quite early. Recommend buying a bottle of something and pouring it for yourself. Cons: food is subpar. Service is slow. Inside decor is dated.
Me and my buddy went on the rooftop patio. He got a beer and i got water took little while . Got the wings .they were very good 4 11 bucks. My buddy ordered another beer it took 15 min. There were 3 waitresses and only 5 tables occupied. Way to slow. Food good .waitresses super slow
my server was great, she is the best server in Winnipeg ever Her name is Jessica. that was my first time who wrote down 'thax' on my bill. her service was awesome!!!! I really hope can see her next time. Also food was perfect. I had a wonderful time with my friends caz of Jessica.
A beautiful patio in the middle of high rise downtown buildings but 3 floors above the street so it's a peaceful roof patio. It could get cold in the evenings but their heaters work just perfect. Overall the menu is fulfilling, few options for vegetarians and vegan also available.
As others have mentioned lunch time service is terrible. Takes forever to get a server. Takes forever to get your food. Drinks are quick, then again it's drinks they should be. But the lack of accomodation while waiting well over an hour for food is simply unacceptable. Get good.
We were in town and met up with a friend at this reasonably central location. It was quiet, we had good service and the happy hour / appy hour pricing was great! The food was served warm and tasty. The house white was nice. We would go back. I highly recommended this place.
The rooftop patio was awesome, despite it being very hot outside. Our server was friendly and checked up on us often, however the boneless wings were a little flavorless and seemed a little undercooked. Glad I got them during happy hour and didn't have to pay full price
Food was good! Servers were kind. But for some reason it took 20 minutes for them to get to us and then another hour for our food to come. We ordered simple dishes to share. The restaurant was not even that busy. If you go leave LOTS of time to sit there and wait.
A little quiet later on a Friday day before a hockey game but still a good place. Honey bbq chicken burger was very good and $10.99 triples (can't drink a lot of beer) were very reasonable! Visit once a year and go here at least once everytime! See ya next year.
Always a good experience, at the 2 locations I've been to. Cocktails are pretty much good for the most part, seems to always have a happy hour at the different times I have been there. Pub/ Bar food always good. Really great burgers. Always great service.
Came here a few times over the week staying at Winnipeg. The night of the local hockey game was ver exciting the place was jam packed and the dj was very good. A lunch I had was Asian style honey beef and it was brilliant. The bulldog cocktail is a must.
Patio was amazing, the food was wonderful but for some reason on a really slow night our group of 19 had to wait over an hour for meals. We weren't in a rush so no big deal, but you might want to make sure you give yourself some extra time when you go
The first time I came here I just had strips of steak with a shocktop and it was pretty decent. So I came back to get an order to go, 4 orders to be exact, and expected it to be the same quality and service. When we got back and opened our
They just care about selling booze and have to serve food because of it, and it shows. Great drinks and very nice servers but the food is horriable and the prices are high tourist prices in a not so great downtown Winnipeg area,. You also
Cheap with large portions and a decent beer selection. If you're looking for a quiet place then go somewhere else, on Jets game days this place is very busy and has a great atmosphere. Food was pretty average but you get what you pay for!
Unfortunately service was not good. Our server was not attentive to us, eventually another waitress from a different section had to come serve us when she noticed we weren't being served. Our server accidentally gave me a drink that I
I go to this location approximately twice a month. The waitresses don't always acknowledge you when you first come in because they're usually busy talking to each other. However, once they've noticed you, it's all positive from there.
Only reason this is 3/5 is the lunchtime service is terrible. Considering the options in the area for lunch, this is the slowest. Food is ok. Roof top patio is great. Some nights they will have a DJ. Good on them for mixing it up.
It's okay. Food was cold, manager quickly offered up a discount on the bill. I think on busy nights the staff are spread out pretty thin and being a physically larger establishment it's tricky to keep track of when food is ready.

Started with their special Blueberry Lemonade soo good. Had happy hour Chicken strips and Calamari. Overall it was okayish. It’s more like a bar place if you wanna have couple of drinks and chips.
Terrific Mediocre food prepared by under-trained youth. The first time was abhorrent, but this last time the children managed to whip together a quarter decent hamburger and side of french fries.

Great place! serving personal were so fun, food was ultra amazing, couldn't finish it as the portions are great! Try the fish, it wasn't frozen highliners, it was pure scratch made, delicious.
Great place to stop for a bite before an event at Canada Life Centre. They have a smaller menu on event nights, which I understand. If their full menu was available, they would have 5 Stars.
I mean, you know what you’re getting here. The food is decent pub food, but the atmosphere for games and events is always alive. Service is always great and it’s easy to just chill out here.
The rooftop patio makes this place. A great place to sit and enjoy a cold drink on a hot summer day. Service is good, food selection is so-so. Large slot machine area if you're feeling lucky
Ordered honey garlic wings and that's not what we got. Told the waitress and she insisted that's what it was but it definitely wasn't. Besides that service was good and pricing was good.
First off Tionees our waitress was awesome none of the issues we encountered werent her fault and she did her best. I cannot say the same for the manger on duty oct 29th at noon.

Our hostess was awesome. Wasn't busy at 1:30 pm. Practically empty except for the 2 of us and staff. Food plater was hot and fresh. Taste was excellent. Would go again.
The server was great, but my chicken fingers were tiny and not very good, and my wife's fish and chips were horrible, I don't think I've ever given less than 3 stars.
Great food, awesome drinks and wonderful staff to sum it all. I loved the fish taco. The atmosphere and ambiance is great. You can watch game from anywhere you sit.
It was okay. Food was so so. The drink I ordered was on the menu but made rather poorly. Service was good once we were seated. Being seated took a really long time.
Expensive and poor quality food, poor service (waited over an hour for food to be served), and poor food options. Highly recommend choosing another restaurant.
Was only there briefly, but the atmosphere and service were both great. I was there in the summer on the roof top patio and that was excellent, I'll be back.

They called last call before the Jets game was over, not cool. We simply crossed the street and went to the Shark Club. That's a real sports bar.
Was very busy,.food service was a bit slow due to the event going on however they did a good job of getting drinks and food in a timely manner.
