I love the store and completely understand how busy it can get. But I came to pick up a pair of shoes that were on hold and pay for them. Not once did any of the staff acknowledge me or ask what I needed help with. I was instructed to sign in to the shoe fitting booking, which has no relevance to my enquiry. Waited for 20 minutes while several staff served and paid for shoes. I did get the young trainees attention (very apologetic) and managed to pay for my shoes. There was very minimal eye contact, definitely no smiles or communication. All staff were serving the fittings with no-one available for anything else. Definitely better communication is needed maybe ask “how can I help you?” Everyone who enters the store is a possible paying customer. There was another lady waiting who also had to book in for a shoe fitting when wanting to pickup a click and collect.

It was a terrible experience to shop at Mt Gravatt store. I was there on Tuesday arvo (29/12/202). I understand that the store was busy in that afternoon. There were only have two staffs. I was there with my son waiting for a while, then there was a local staff who wore glasses said that if anyone was waiting for fitting the size, will need to scan the barcode and will be waiting the queue. I did whatever she said and still waiting to be serviced. And there was a screen shows my name was first in the queues. However, that local staff turned around and to service another customers, and they were waiting for sizes fitting as well and their name wasn’t even in the queue. I don’t mind that she went to service anther customers who stepped into the store after me, if so; what’s the point to ask customers to scan the barcode and waiting in the queues.

This has always been my go-to place for buying good quality shoes for my younger children. They have a wide range of shoes and always provide a friendly and welcoming shoe fitting experience and take the time to ensure a good fit for your child. The most recent time I took my nearly 2 year old daughter the lady was very patient and helpful despite my daughter being completely uncooperative and screaming the shop down. She was able to recommend a suitable pair of shoes that were within our budget and fitted my daughter well and we were in and out in a decent amount of time thanks to there being sufficient staff and their new queue system that involves scanning a qr code and booking a spot. I will always recommend these guys for anyone looking for good quality shoes for their children!

The staff member that served us, 'finally' was absolutely wonderful and we couldn't have asked for a more polite, well trained and understanding individual. However, I followed the rules and booked a place in the queue, as directed by the sign at the counter. However I was then met with 2 customers 'pushing' in front of us and being served. Either the store follows the process that they are asking people to participate in, or it is a free for all. Additionally, I acknowledge that it must be hard for the staff, as I noted that a number of the customers when I was there were very rude and just pushed they way in and past people. So overall, the staff member that served us was amazing and should be complimented. However many other aspects of the experience were not fantastic.

Fantastic shoes and fantastic prices however the staff are hopeless and so SLOW. I always shop here because of your product but always leave angry because none of the staff know what they are doing. Went in today to buy 4 pairs of shoes, waited 20 minutes to be served (2 staff fitting other customers which is fine however maybe they should acknowledge customers waiting) asked for the sizes and took the girl Atleast 10 minutes to find the shoe sizes and got them incorrect anyway. Everyone is purchasing School shoes now surely you realise you need more staff on or better yet trained staff.

Unhelpful, rude, careless! One bad apple spoils the whole bunch. I walked into the shop and she gave me a greeting which was nice but as I started to ask questions about school shoes, she became impatient. She insisted I need to bring the child in for fitting before she could give any advice. (Not all children like to be at shopping centres) I explained it would be inconvenient to bring my child and happy to pick a size for him and exchange if needs be. She gave me a look and said whatever then kept doing her work.

Honestly, Jeanine, the lady that assisted us, gave such a high level of service, that is certainly unmatched. This was the epitome of service. Thank you Jeanine. Jeanine was polite, friendly, knowledgeable, energetic and swift. From sizing up my kids feet to making honest suggestions, communicating with the kids and parents, to keeping the whole experience mind-blowing if I may say so for a shoe buying experience. Well done you your excellency Janine. Thank you

The staff were super friendly & helpful. My 7yr old niece loved the experience from having her feet measured to having the shoes fitted. The staff addressed her directly and let her be in charge of choosing and buying the shoes. (Unlike other places where they only talk to the adult present as if the child's invisible). They allowed her to wear the shoes out of the store as well.

Store was packed with people getting ready for the new school year but the staff and QR queuing system worked well. Staff were all very friendly, knowledgeable and eager to find the correct shoe and fit. I did note the inability to social distance in store as it is quite cramped, this was mainly due to the large volume of people. Keep up the good work!

The staff at Garden City provided a great service! They were friendly, knew their products and explained the fitting process as they fitted my son for his new school shoes. Their new fitting appointments are an excellent idea and worked well for me. Overall a great experience and very happy with our new shoes!

Was quick and easy buying school shoes this year! With the covid check-in you get placed in a queue, and as it was quiet, we didn't have to wait! The salesperson was knowledgeable and helpful and found us the perfect shoes. We've purchased from Shoes & Sox before, and we'll purchase again in the future!

Visited first thing this morning hoping that i could get my toddlers foot measured properly and Emma said she could do it there and then, she was wonderful, gave great advice and sold us a pair of adidas that were perfect for his feet. Will definitely return here for all future shoe purchases 5/5

We had a wonderful experience at the store. Emma was very kind and helpful and most of all she was great with kids. It was our first experience there and I know we will always shop here for kids shoes as a one stop shop. We will be there as soon as our son out grows his shoes ☺️

Amazing experience getting my 3 kids schools done. Maddi the manager was efficient and super helpful. I got my 3 kids 2 pairs each done in 20 mins. I even was able to book a time slot in so no waiting. Highly recommend.

An absolutely horrible experience! I went in to exchange a pair of shoes I had already purchased for my daughter. My children and I waited to be served for 45 minutes! We will never be going back there again!
