"WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER"
"I am very sympathetic to the labour shortage that is affecting the customer facing industry right now and know that they are trying their best with the staff that they have"
"This is the second time I have gone during business hours and it's been randomly closed"
"Delicious coffee and staff friendly"
"We drove to this location from Vaudreuil on Thursday night cause the website site it was open till 11pm and when we got there at 958 we received a dirty look from the man and noticed that all the pasteries were removed form the counter"
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Avoid this branch AT ALL COST. The lady working there on saturday/sunday evening is the most miserable human being on earth. When the people in front of me ordered a drink with espresso in it, she almost threw a tantrum because she "just cleaned the espresso machine" (mind you it was 4pm and they close at 8pm LOL). The. It was my turn to order and when I did, she rolled her eyes and started "huffing and puffing" and mumbling some insults in her native language ( she was from indian/south asian descent). And when my drink was finally ready she almost threw it at me from across the counter. I hope everybody boycotts this particular branch because clearly the branch owner doesn't care. Next time I will go to the one on Sources Blvd where I ALWAYS get amazing service from the fantastic staff over there. AVOID THIS BRANCH AT ALL COST !!!

I am very sympathetic to the labour shortage that is affecting the customer facing industry right now and know that they are trying their best with the staff that they have. Issue is, the one area that cannot be compromised or be overlooked right now is cleanliness. This store has their priorities in the wrong places. The state of the Second Cup on Pierrefonds was terrible this morning: dirty/sticky tables , soiled garbage area and even worst was the bathrooms (the women's bathroom is out of order and the men's toilet was so putrid I couldn't use it). I haven't see a bathroom this bad in a long time. The only saving grace is that my coffee was decent. Please please put a focus on cleanliness at a time like this. The unboxing of the mugs/cups you received could have most likely waited as the store had a total of 5 customers in the 2 hours I was there. I will not be going back anytime soon even though the location is practical.
This is the second time I have gone during business hours and it's been randomly closed. Met with rude employees with a stick up their behind rather than a polite apology. I'm sorry for assuming your business is open during the hours its explicitly posted that it should be. The last time I was there the cashier also rang up a totally different drink than what I ordered but assured me she'd make the right one. It was like $3 more. I dk what game that was or if she pocketed the difference. Won't bother to return. Do better. Do yourself a favour and go to the Tims across the street. You can get two coffees for the price of one AND be treated like a human being :D
Delicious coffee and staff friendly. On the negative side, sometimes we cannot go in if we want to sit because students take up tables for hours on end. Today, 5 tables were taken up by one or two students at each table, books strewn on tables and coats occupying empty chairs of tables for 4 or 6. The students were there before we arrived and were there when we left an hour later. The administration needs to set a time limit on how many hours students can park at the tables with one cup of coffee, so other customers can also make use of tables. Whatever happened to libraries as studying venues?
We drove to this location from Vaudreuil on Thursday night cause the website site it was open till 11pm and when we got there at 958 we received a dirty look from the man and noticed that all the pasteries were removed form the counter. We ask if he was closed and he rudely said yes. We saw the door stated that he closed at 11 and we mentioned that the sign and site both said 11. He rudely responded 11,12 no it’s 10 and I’ll change it. I found that to be so rude coming from the employee. Will never go back. Site still says 11 buddy! Change it so people don’t waste their time.
This is the 3rd time I get coffee from this place. Everytime I go they would not have the coffee ready and I'd wait there 10 minutes for it to be done.1st time asked for caramel corrato half sweet and extra hot (it was very sweets and cold), second time I waited 10 min for the coffee it was so hot and so full I dropped it all.over my car and today (last time will go there) again waited 10 min to get my coffee and it taste horrible!!!!! 2nd cup js my favorite coffee ace to go to but this location is by far the worst

What an embarrassment for Second Cup. Sad when a franchisor has to resort to keeping franchisees that do not know what they are doing because the said franchisor does not have the legal financials to discipline their franchisees. Customer service was non existent. In such a business where competitors are on every corner, service should be a priority. When I asked for a particular coffee I was asked to go to another store to find it....enough said. Would have given 1/2 of a star if the option was available.
I go to this location often, as it’s close to home. The sign online and on the doors say it opens at 6:30. Just tried to go in (7:07am on a weekday) where all the doors were locked. The person inside saw me and ducked. I then knocked and was told it’s March Break and they aren’t open? However these modified hours aren’t posted anywhere. Next time I get out of bed and leave the house for coffee, it would be nice if clients knew these magical new hours.
Go there to study Saturday, it says they close at 11 yet we are all kicked out at 10 because the owner likes to close early when it's quite ( keep in mind there are 8 people still inside at 10 pm). Also plugs were taken away because they don't want students studying there. Not to mention the coffee didn't even taste good for 4$ .
They need renovations. The chairs are dirty and the wall distract you (can you paint it?)... for the students: if you don’t buy anything every hour you’ll get the owner coming to disturb you every 5 min. Staff is good though; friendly that’s why the 1 star. If I get time I’ll post pictures
Service is great, food is great although a bit pricey for some items. I don't understand though why they blocked off some wall outlets? The biggest customers of this place are students and when i came to sit where i usually sit, it wasn't possible because the wall outlet was blocked.
Serious health violations. Employees with mask below the nose and floor was dirty. I was the only client waiting with 4 employees and was not served within 10 minutes, so left. They are more interested in restocking items, talking and training employees than serving clients.
Ordered online and got charged for it. I get to the store and it is closed due to lack of personnel. Why are mobile orders still going through if the store is closed?

The girls behind the counter are more interested in their smart phone than serving the customers standing in front of them trying to get their attention to buy a cup of coffee. C,mon Second Cup. Get it together and learn some customer service
The barista Sarah is the absolute sweetest and best! She is so good at her job. Too bad her boss Marzola is disgusting and can’t run an establishment to save her life. She has 1 employee working while there’s a lineup of 8 people waiting
Excellent customer service provided from a young man with glasses and a ponytail today! He was very polite and treated me extremely well. This employee deserves a promotion honestly. I would totally recommend this place!10/10 experience!
Service, coffee, and food are alright, but I gave it 1 star because the bathroom (at least the men's) was filthy! It really looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a few days. This place has really gone downhill since it first opened.
I am surprised by the comments that the owner tells people off, never saw it happening, almost there everyday, i am sure there is something more in to it. Very good place, good service. Perfect place to Study or meet for business.
This is the best store, friendly staff makes you feel like you are at home. Lisa knows how to deliver exceptional! Try the deserts they are to die for and the fresh coffee, yum! Thank you

Went to have a sandwich and tea at lunchtime. The sandwich was off and smelt faul. The employee was excellent and offered an alternative that were muffin & pastry that were much better. Look elsewhere for sandwiches .
Attention! Owner does not want any students or working people at his second cup. He removed all the plugs so you can't even charge your phone or use your laptop. Not study-friendly. Go to Tim Hortons!
****Update***** The management has changed and I can say with confidence it is one of the best coffee shop in the west island. The employees are always helpful and coffee and pastries are on point.
They purposely play loud music so people don't study. When I asked to lower the volume, they asked "what are you going to buy?". Super rude owner. P.S I spend around $8 in 1 hour. Very reasonable.
Big windows let in lots of natural light, decent amount of seating, nice place to study or read. If you need an Internet connection you will need to ask the barista for the Wifi password.
i don't really constancy in the breuvage. Sometimes i bought a matcha latte and it's really good and the other i buy the same drink made by the same person and it tasted like water.
Great service, great drinks, amazing staff! I like that it's usually pretty quiet and there's never any obnoxious people. Would give a 5 star rating, however the wifi is terrible..
The right place to have your favorite coffee, smoothie and snacks. Very experienced staff and they are doing great. Thank you.

Very cozy place. I go there for breakfast at times during the week. Very good service & the gentleman who works there is very polite. Good place for studying as well.
I've been coming here for almost 3 years now. I come to this area once a month to help my mother. A great retreat, reliable access to wi-fi. Good mix of all ages.
I liked this place, they keep the vintage logo. It's cozy, nice and you can feel comfortable. They should probably pay more attention just to the table cleaning.
ordered coffee, recieved wrong size, and the number for the store is wrong so i couldnt call. do better

Quiet enough to study! Not like damn Starbucks with all the coffee snobbery, annoying music and yupiness. They can go "Venti" themselves ...
The Second cup on Pierrefonds Boulevard has a very cozy atmosphere with tons of parking. Always satisfied with the service and the coffee!!
The coffee, service, parking and the place are ok. The croissant is dry and not fresh and not made well & expensive for nothing.
Good place to get some work or studying done. Good coffee. Quieter than starbucks and not as obnoxious. Great terrace.
The second cup caffee is my favorite in Montreal
