Visited ladies salon at Havelock today, had a terrible experience with Shiranthi. I placed an appointment at 09.00am and was able to reach there at 09.40am. We caught with a huge traffic and we couldn’t drive fast as we were with the baby. I was ready to wait there too as I reached the place little delay. When we went in, there were 5 girls and no one didn’t know how to do a hair straightening. The receptionist called Shiranthi (one of the staff) and gave their landline receiver to me. Because Shiranthi wanted to speak to me. At once she started yelling by saying “09.00 means 09.00. How could you come whenever you want, we have other appointments too. I can’t help now, if you want you come tomorrow”. She doesn’t bother asking why what happened or tell that she has other appointments in a nicer way. They didn’t even bother to call me and ask why are you delaying and when I reached the salon, there weren’t any other customers except me. Due to this 3rd class behavior, I do not recommend this place to anyone. Then we went to Salon 7th Avenue and had a great service. If you continue this behavior at the ladies salon, you will tend to lose more customers. My husband was a regular customer of scissors gents salon. Even for the wedding he dressed from there. We’re so worried for today’s incident. Hope you would take necessary actions

I don't even know what to say. Read other one star reviews and most of them will say that they were ignored and they take in regular customers or people they know before you, even if you come first. It's ridiculous... There's literally no customer service for new people. I haven't had this problem with their other outlets And no parking available at this place have to find a place to park near by And the hair cut was quite ok Beard cut was not UpTo mark And cleanup and facial is costly Barbers are money mind guys are here And They say some price and final come out other price Twice I wend for hair and beard cut But end up Clean up and facial and massage Barbers said some price while cutting ✂️ And the final bill is 500-1000 higher May be with tips . Lol I have given 300 rupees tip too. Only hair cut is ok Nothing else

I took a mens cleanup at scissors. they have torn my skin with instrument they used to clean pimples. I realized it next day when it got infected only. they knew it already they were telling me to do facial as well after the cleanup but the truth they wanted to cover up the mistake they have made. Just because they have fancy infrastructure and equipment don't think they are perfect and professional and they are too costly. I recommed you all to go to decent saloon near your homr whom you trust.

It's been 4 year of living in Colombo and I have not visited any salon twice, as to haircuts were not satisfactory. Mr. Ruwan at Scissors is definitely very talented and gave a superb service. He took time to listen to what exactly I want and from first few seconds I knew this is going to be my stop for haircuts in future. I greatly recommend anyone to visit this spot for a decent affordable haircut in the town. Cheers to Scissors the owner and the entire crew for a great future. Stay safe

Whenever I need to get a haircut, my first and only choice has always been Scissors. All the hairdressers are very professional and they follow proper safety guidelines during this pandemic as well. Specially, I must mention that if you get a chance always book an appointment with their senior hairdresser Niroshan. He is one of the best hairdressers in Colombo and will always provide a worthy service for your money. Scissors Salon is also good for Groom’s makeup and styling as well.

The person who cut my hair literally ruined it. I showed him a picture to show what sort of a hair cut I want to get. He said he already know how to cut this haircut but ended up cutting something entirely different. Doesn’t worth for the money we pay at all. They said a different price to the initial price they said. The person who cut my hair was focusing on the cricket match more than the haircut. I do not recommend anyone to get a haircut from this place. Worse experience ever.

Great place. A bit pricey but Very satisfied. I went since it was recommended by a friend of mine. The place has several barbers operating and u can sit in a nice comfortable waiting area. Once i had a seat available I told them to do what they thought was good and it came out great. Got a beard trim to match. The whole process took around 45mins- but the results are Worth It. Costed me around 1600 for mine but would definitely go again.

Desde que llegué a Sri Lanka hace 1 mes y medio me he cortado el pelo en este salón de peluquería 4 veces. He de decir que hace tiempo que no me cortaban tan bien el pelo. Son cuidadosos, están el tiempo necesario y te cortan el pelo sin prisa. Unos profesionales. Volveré al menos 2 veces más antes de volver a mi país! Ah! Y el precio muy bueno, entre 1000 y 1600 rupias . Muy recomendable!

Not happy. The cutter made my long hair too short contrary to my request. He didn't have any idea about my style, even though I showed few pictures of mine and the style. And Finishing wasn't neat at all. Didn't make side burns at all. Hair cutter's service wasn't courteous and spoke unprofessional impolite manner like a road side barber shop. Don't patronize again and not recommended.

Not recommending the ladies salon. Yesterday I took an appointment for a hair color today at 9 am and 8.50am they are calling and asked to come on a later time as their hair dresser couldnt make it on time. This is the second experience of mine same incident. They doesnt care about customers requirements. Staff working their works as individuals not as a team. Just passing the ball.

Scissors was amazing, but such a hifi place doesn’t have a TV. It used to have a TV before, but now they don’t have it. They are earning so much money. But please put a TV. Moreover it was amazing cut only missed the watching of TV. Every salon has it. But this unfortunately does not. Please make sure you put one before I come next time so I can recommend my friends and families

Absolutely horrible quality of service. The lady didn't know how to thread properly and she was constantly struggling throughout the process. She didn't even do a proper job and I kept pointing out many areas she missed to thread. Even after that, she missed a lot of areas. I've heard great reviews about the men's section but the ladies section is definitely not reliable.

I knew there are so some talented hairdressers are there in the salon, but I'm not satisfied with the person who cut my hair for my special day, he ruined my hair and beard, he is not even well trained and not even asking my request Please train your people, Don't ruin the name of your salon, expensive but not recommentable place to visit don't waste u r money

Very poor service here. They say they don't get by appointment but the barbers have their personal contacts and and they always personal contacts first even though we are waiting for hours. Zero professionalism not even their counter guy is responsible about it. I was waiting for hours but I didn't get my hair cut. Poor services. Not recommending for anyone.

This was my first experience with Scissors Salon. I absolutely love the hair cut i got from Shiromi. Staff wad bit busy and less but super friendly and gave me lots of tips how to take good care of my hair. Five star service. Before you visit call their hotline and get an appointment. I clearly showed the length of the layer haircut I wanted but she cut it way shorter. The layers didn't even look like it in the end. I've been going to professionals for nearly 10 years and could say she wasnt doing it the right way. Really disappointed with the service and I'm never going back

I got my hair dyed at the ladies salon and they did it very well. She applied it evenly and even did extra service by providing me advice on how to maintain my curly hair. Thipika was very kind and professional. I would definitely go there again. Their manicure service is also worth trying.

One of the best saloon I visit in Colombo. For men and Women. I have several experience in women's section. They have professionals who are well trained and mastered. I always prefer Ms. Yasmin's service since she is a best amongst. I'm thankful for their friendliness and comfy environment.

If you are looking of a late night hair cut or shave this is a good place because they are open till midnight. Their charges are insanely low. I went for a hair cut at 11.30 pm and only cost me Rs. 600/-. They had 3 to 5 service chairs. The service men are well trained and professional.

You may get a good hair cut or you may not. All depends on the barber you select. Many people can take services at once. Recently made an appointment for a hair and beard trim and barber didn't appear for a one hour. Due to uncertainty cannot recommend.

Such a waste place this is for tourist. They don’t understand basic English. Face pack they put and forgot for half an hour, I told to remove it as it was completely dry, they did not. I would never recommend this place for facial services.

Unprofessional behaviour from the staff. The guy who cutted my hair using sniffing powder and spitting on me. There is no any use of making salon interior better. Make staffs behaviour better. hope this helps.

Good place for a no fuss haircut where you don't need an appointment. Probably not the best place if you're looking for something very specific. Easily accessible location and open till late in the evening.

Useless service! Pure political way of attending customers. Phoned before I went. They said they do not need any appointments. Waited for 1hour. No one attended the new comers. So waste of time!

The staff were well trained and professional. Even when I was confused on what style to cut my hair the staff suggested a style based on my facial structure. The result was great.
