I attended Scamps Hair & Beauty last Thursday which was my second visit to the salon. I was greeted by Pam Lavender (owner) at the reception desk. Pam has a bubbly effervescent personality I immediately felt welcomed to the salon. Pam was very kind and gave me a coffee and biscuit as I was feeling very cold. The salon's air conditioning was perfect temperature and I gradually thawed out. Kaitlin welcomed me and told me that Alex would be applying the colour. Alex, ensured that the hair colour would not run/stain hairline/ear areas by apply a clear liquid. Alex then applied the hair colour. I enjoyed looking through the magazines. I heard the haidressers discussing new products and ideas which is very proactive. Kaitlin then washed and conditioned my hair. Kaitlin trimmed, thinned and dried my hair. The result was wonderful. The grey hair was covered. My hair felt light and bright. The highlights which were applied on my first visit still looked fantastic. The salon had been repainted since my first visit and looked great. A friendly, professional salon 5 stars.

I wanted a colour and cut. Simple. I was a first timer so was given to an apprentice. I expressed my concern at having her cut my hair as I have had partial alopecia and thought it best to have a senior to do the cut. Happy with her to do the colour which she did and it looks great. But after the colour, she just asked if I wanted a full blow dry or just to dry it off. I said I wanted a cut. Her reply was that she felt "uncomfortable" to do the cut. I was then passed to her manager who said she couldn't have her worker feeling uncomfortable and they wouldn't/couldn't do my cut. My question to the Manager is "what did your apprentice learn from today?" It certainly wasn't to please your customer. At no time was I ever rude to this girl. So I left and will never return. Very unprofessional! I found the whole salon to be very very unprofessional. Awful experience!

Being of a "mature age" shall we say :-) over the years I have been to many hair dressers both in Australia and overseas... I would like to say that Mariola is one of the best hair cutters and colour technicians I have ever had the pleasure to experience... Many hair dressers have good technique, but also there are many that cannot apply their skills properly because they "don't listen" and/or don't interpret what the client is telling them so as to facilitate the right outcome... MARIOLA DOES IT ALL... EFFICIENTLY AND SO PLEASANTLY... NOTHING IS TOO MUCH TROUBLE AND IT IS OBVIOUS SHE TAKE A HUGE PRIDE IN HER CRAFT, ENSURING THE FINAL PRODUCT IS EXACTLY WHAT THE CLIENT WANTED....BIG THANKS TO MARIOLA AND SCAMPS... What an amazing salon and such lovely staff. After a disappointing visit to a different hair salon previous, who really made quite a mess of my transforming from long to short hair, Scamps saved the day. Nothing was too much trouble and no part of the process was rushed. I felt like my day at the salon was real treat and felt truly pampered. Don't be put off by the fact that this salon is not on the high street in the CBD, this salon is up there, if not better than any I have been to and paid top city prices. Well done girls.....I will definitely be back for sure.

My appointment was with Sarah, the manager. She approached me, asking 'what are we doing today?' I've expected a more professional approach, especially from the manager, who set the example. Sarah was friendly but interrupted me several times (while answering her questions about my hair and style needs) and also "managed" the front desk (by pausing to talk to/instructing the reception staff) while cutting my hair. I did not feel like a 'valued customer'. Haircut was okay (not amazing) and price to high for the experience.

I have been a loyal client at Scamps for a few years and I can always rely on them to make me look amazing. I've never had a bad cut or colour and I find the staff to be very engaging and friendly.When I need a service quickly and forget to book they always fit me in ( Im so grateful for that ) and they really listen to what I want.( Unlike many other places )They make you feel at home and a cuppa and biscuits is always a bonus. You can also buy great products in the shop. Thanks Scamps !

I needed a colour urgently and there were no immediate spots available. However, the staff were extremely helpful and managed to fit me in first thing the next morning (8am), although they were already full too. I had my roots done and my hair cut too! Left the salon feeling fantastic! Everyone was great and the cappuccino they offered was excellent! Been here a few times now and always left happy. Definitely recommended! Thanks Scamps!

Bree was my brilliant stylist! She understood exactly what I wanted. Bree made me completely at ease and her skills are amazing! She cut, highlighted and blow waved my hair. She blended my grey roots beautifully. Bree is a lovely young woman and I highly recommend her skills.. Scamps Salon was a warm and friendly place and I am extremely happy with their services and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this Salon.

Excellent haircut for my primary aged daughter. Hairdresser took time to listen and understand what she wanted and explained everything to her as she went along. I appreciated that the hairdresser checked in with me as a parent but also spoke directly to the child client. Her smile at the end said it all - we will be back!

I have been a Scamps customer for 18 plus years. I look forward my visits to the salon and find staff friendly and ready to listen to what I actually want. The quality of the hair cut and styling is always excellent. I walk away after my service smiling and with my head held high. Thanks girls - one and all.

I highly recommend this salon. It was my first visit and I was very very happy with my new hairstyle. Mariola is an excellent stylist and she is so good at cutting and creating a new style. You can tell she loves her work. Thank you also for the lovely greeting Pam. I will definitely be back.

So happy I found these guys!! I have finally found a hairdresser that actually listens to what I want and takes the time to discuss options with me. The salon is well lit and has a great vibe and staff are all very welcoming friendly and chatty. Would highly recommend.
