So, I recently visited 4 Kantuna in Zadar, I have to say, it was an amazing dining experience. The restaurant had a modern vibe that was very different from what I'm used to back home, but it was definitely a cool change of pace. For my main dish, I ordered the Grilled Calamari and Chard, and it was honestly one of the best things I've ever tasted. The calamari was perfectly cooked and had a nice char on it that added some great flavor. The chard was a great complement to the dish and added a nice balance to the flavors. It was a great combination of healthy and delicious, which is always a win in my book. For dessert, I had the Paradižot, which was a sweet, creamy dessert that was the perfect end to the meal. It was something I had never tried before, but I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere of the restaurant was really cool and modern. The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. Overall, I would definitely recommend 4 Kantuna to anyone looking for a unique dining experience in Zadar. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was really cool, and the staff was great. It's definitely a spot you won't want to miss while visiting Croatia .

Znaci moram jednostavno da pohvalim ovaj restoran izvrsnom hranom,uslugom i gostoprimstvom,stvarno sam oduševljena od ambijenta do hrane Dečko i ja smo šetali Zadrom i naletjeli na taj restoran,odmah nam se svidio ambijent,pa smo odlučili probati hranu koju nude,probali smo platu,izvrsna je, I sto me još oduševilo,konobari su jako ljubazni,posebno mi se svidio jedan gospodin konobar koji je podigao moj šešir kada mi je ispao kad smo sjedili,stvarno ljubaznost,jer u današnje vrijeme ima toga jako malo,a sitnice znače Maksimalna briga konobara oko toga dali je sve uredu i da je sve po ps-u Nakon toga sam bila toliko oduševljena da smo drugi dan putovali skoro sat vremena samo da bi ponovno došli u taj restoran,probala sam grdobinu sa domaćim fužima i tartufima,nikad finija jela nisam probala,zaista vrijedi probati i naravno vidimo se opet nekom drugom prilikom!

Nice atmosphere in middle of the city, if you like to be seen and enjoy the crowds of tourists walking around. You can be seated inside and enjoy more privacy in an more intimate setting. Service is excellent if you got served by an local professional waiter with a big smile and superb knowledge of the menue. Otherwise you will enjoy waiters that are seasonal workers and speak only English no Croatian, which is a minus for local customers .

Beautiful, very attentive staff. Nothing we asked for was any bother and they were extremely busy. The decor was lovely inside. Outside seating is available but extremely popular so if you want an outdoor seat you need to be quick or reserve or be prepared to wait around. Food was delicious, and the portions were very generous. The beef cheek was outstanding, definitely recommend. The shareboard was beautiful aswell plenty of selection. I had the beef and truffle pasta which was delicious and the portion was huge. It was incredibly rich and was impossible to finish, so if you want that you definitely need a healthy appetite.

Amazing experience in what is an upscale restaurant but surprisingly good prices, at least for tourists. The service was impeccable, extremely kid friendly, and our waiter, Ivan, was extremely professional and looked after us. We had the tuna and beef carpaccio which were perfect, followed by the penne with truffles and crunchy octopus. Both were excellent, with healthy portions. You won't leave hungry! The kids had the crispy chicken and gnocchi which made them really happy. We got a really nice sparkling rose, a really nice bottle for our last night in Zadar and it was was really flavorful and fruity. Highly recommended, just make sure to reserve in advance if you can.

We went here on a very busy day for dinner and even though we went here without any reservation the staffs were quite polite to give us a table on the terrace seating!! We tried their tuna steak and monkfish pasta and both of them were really very nice. We also tried their cocktail “Moscow Mule” and “botanist Spritz” which were unique in their own way!! Totally loved the food but the staff who was serving us looked very very lost when we were trying to order the food and even after that was unresponsive for a very long time when we asked for the bill. We were just there waiting the whole time to attend us and that was a lot disappointing. Apart from that I’d say everything was fine.

If you are vacationing in Zadar and don't visit this place, you will miss a lot.We were there several times with my friends. I speak as a person who works in the field of gastronomy - excellent cuisine, the waiters are very nice and friendly, the manager Marina always greeted us with a smile and offered to sit at the bar until a table was free. At the same time, the hostess girl with dark hair was very rude and every time we came she told us not to even hope to get a table and asked to find another place. I would pay attention to such an employee if i'd be an owner. Everything else was top notch.

This place is ok,not great,not bad,simply ok. It is so much bigger than you can expect.The service is fast,attentive and professional.Drinks are served in quite nice way and they do taste good. However the food is average,not worth the price you are paying. We had tuna steak which was dry and a bit stiff and fried calamari with way too much olive.We also tried beef carpacio and it would be good but there was a tone of mustard which killed the taste completely. A big minus js you cannot chamge potatos for rice or salad. Overall I would not recommend bc of the food quality and taste.

I absolutely loved this place. My 15 year old daughter insisted we go here. It felt touristy at first, and there was a long wait. After checking out the menu, we decided to wait in line for what felt forever. We got lucky as the people in front of us did not want a table in the garden behind !! And what an absolute treat this restaurant was. We ordered the Risotto with Adriatic shrimp and beef pasta with Truffles. We loved both the dishes. It was one of the best pasta I have ever eaten. My husband and daughter loved the Risotto as well. It was a lovely meal, and the service was phenomenal!

There is always a line to eat here. You have to make a reservation a few days earlier, but if you come early or later you may have a table. We were two and tried three times in different hours and finally they got us a table. We ordered a pizza and the famous black risotto. Both wer exquisite. Very tasty and good quality. The restaurant is very beautiful, the decoration is very chic and sophisticated. We loved it. The price is reasonable for the good quality. Highly recommend

Fantastic lunch here today - 10/10 and 5 full stars. Great welcome, quickly seated and provided with a menu which was explained briefly with highlights on certain key dishes. I had the Tuna Salad to start washed down with a glass of the local Malvese, which is produced further south around Dubrovnik. Followed up with the Charred Sea Bream, which was perfectly chargrilled, soft and flaky, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Special mention to my waiter Emille today who made my day with his friendly banter, stories and exceptional service - Thank you!

We ordered burratta salad that was incredible and fresh homemade spaghetti with seafood, the pasta was really good and the sauce/seafood was tasty. We also tried pizza tartufatta with truffles, really nice both the pizza dough and the ingredients. We finalize with a pavlova, was good, not the typical pavlova i have tried before,but was really nice the mix of the fruit, with the lemon curd and the cream. The food was good but the personnel was the best of the dinner, all the waiters and waitresses was really nice and friendly. Highly recommend

If you’re just looking for a restaurant with good vibes in Zadar old town then 4 Kantuna fits well. Service is nice and staff are very friendly. However, we didn’t find the food quality at the same level. We ordered the cold from the sea plate as a starter, plus sea bass and grilled calamari for main, and unfortunately we were disappointed. Most of the starters tasted not fresh especially the pate and the octopus (seemed like canned products), the calamari was tasteless and chewy. The sea bass was ok, but fresh sea bass tastes different.

One of the best restaurants in Zadar, hands down! We ended up going twice We ordered quite a few of their dishes - Tuna Carpaccio, Bianco Bruschetta, Monkfish in Truffle Sauce with Pasta, Gnocchi & the Grilled Calamari with Chard. The Tuna Carpaccio & the Bianco were absolutely incredible. Their desserts could potentially use a revamp but no complaints. Overall the food was superb, a must try!

This is a really beautiful that I visited 3 times during my 3 day trip. I loved the wine selection and found the servers to be very knowledgeable about the wine they serve. I had the Dalmatian sushi and it was *incredible*. One server told me I couldn’t put my personal water bottle on the table, and suggested I put my water bottle on the floor instead. This comment was disappointing as I was walking around the city all day and had water with me for the walk. Other than this, restaurant is highly recommended and worth the higher price.

One of the best meals we have had in Croatia. We had their bruschetta, pasta with truffles and beef, grilled hama with barley and vegetables. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and a nice change to the grilled protein and potatoes that we've been having a lot of on our trip to Croatia so this was a welcome change. Service staff were great and the restaurant has a great vibe. Would recommend anyone visiting Zadar to check this place out.

Absolutely fantastic experience. The quality of the food and service is excellent. Highly recommend that you get your dose of seafood from this restaurant. We started with the fish soup which was a good choice. My wife had the homemade spaghetti with seafood, I tried it and 10/10. Very intense flavours! I had the Octopus with Barley and vegetables and WOW! I did add a little salt to the Octopus which brought out the true flavour of the meat. Very satisfied and its such a shame I can't eat from here for the rest of my life.

I will totally recommend this place, but you need to be patient to get a table, we tried 3 days and finally we get one The food was top quality, the cold platter for 2 with sea food is just AMAZING, the Sauvignon white wine was spectacular and the truffle homemade pasta delicious We had the best 2 waiters on the place, a really friendly girl and a guy that speak 7 languages

We were lucky to have eaten here days before it closed for a short break. Loved our orders. Appreciated our very friendly and lively server’s offer to split our order of monkfish when we told him we were going to share. And so glad we did because the serving was generous and enough for two. So much so that we ended up just taking our pizza order to-go. The monkfish was perfectly cooked, and the truffle sauce was spot-on. Pizza was still delicious even after a few hours.

Even if the employees at the door seem a little bit arrogant, this place is totally a recommendation. We've had a pizza (wooden oven) & the crunchy Octopus (char coal grill), both of them were great. The Octopus was one of the best I've ever had. And it was a lot, I think like 6 or 7 arms/tentacles. The side dish (barley & veggies) was also very tasty and something special. Service was friendly & quick and the location was also nice. Prices are not supercheap but very fair for the quality and size of the dishes.

4 Kantuna was on our list of restaurants we wanted to try in Zadar for quite some time, but somehow it was always full when we walked by and we constantly failed to remember to make a reservation. Luckily, one evening we found an available table outside on the terrace. We really enjoyed the pasta with seafood and shrimp, as well as the meat which was tender and well prepared. Pricey but well worth the price tag.

Very nice atmosphere in the restaurant. The ally way to the front is very picturesque! The service was very good timely. Food was excellent. First time I got some rude service. We come with a family and waiting more than 40 min. I got a raw fish, when I complein they started preparing another one. Service was fantastic. Managed to find us a table on a madly busy Easter Sunday at peak time. Our food was fantastic and we've booked to go back on Thursday for round 2. The seafood sharing starter is a must! Update, we returned on the Thursday and had the most amazing steaks. My wife opted for the T-bone. The servings are so large she couldn't eat it (no worries - I had it the next day!). Another excellent meal with fantastic service.

We had a tuna steak and it was ok. Stuff was really friendly and helpful. The restaurant is nice and spacious with well air conditioned inside space (quite important for Zadar in summer). The only downside is toilet. It is only one female (probably male as well) and it’s outdated for such a huge space!

What can I say for this restaurant! Expect the fish soup that was just water and fish, all the other dishes were extremely tasty and exellent!!! One of the best pizzas that i eat on the coast. Size is okish but taste of tomato sauce and mozzarella are amazing If you want to try good Romana style pizza go for it. Also tuna stake was really good

We went to this restaurant because the recommendation of the guide of a free tour. Good service and excellent good. We ordered the cold sea starter, just delicious. As main courses te local dishes, black risotto and gnocchi, both just astonishing.

We recommend everyone to try the delicious dishes at the Four Cantons Restaurant. The fish platter was perfect, the staff wonderful, friendly and helpful. The ambience of the incredibly interesting decoration is definitely worth a visit. We will be back soon.

It is a surprising place, with very friendly staff and top food. I chose the tuna carpaccio and the monk fish with pasta and truffle. Spectacular! Price is reasonable for the quality and portion size. Full even in winter, book first!

Fantastic place at the very heart of Zadar old town. Delicious pizza as well as seafood. Staff super polite and attentive to each detail. Unlike at quite a few other restaurants in Zadar, here you as a guest feel wanted and taken good care of.

Try the Croatian red wine (€26 a bottle) very delicious and dark the pizza was incredible - such flavoursome salami and ham the mussels were good but the sauce was salty and the mussels had their beards still in tact so I had to remove these myself.

We had fish soup with just some leftovers fish in it, nothing wow, just a long soup with no taste. I had the sea food pasta, and it was good. My husband had spaghetti with beef and truffles and they were amazing. The waitress was professional and give us all her attention. I recommend this place!

Honestly, i believe the food is great here, having seen all the food that passed us.. however, what we ordered was a bit disappointing.. the homemade pasta was good, but we also ordered the mussels, they were salty and we had 3 that didnt open We also had an awesome waitress, but the host wasn’t so nice… Overall value for money wasnt worth it

Loved the staff, nice atmosphere, were able to get a place without reservation (I'm sure this might get more difficult during high tourist season). We had the tuna and it was amazing. Will come back for sure...

Way too overrated. Looks better than it tastes. Very mediocre food, maybe a touch on the downside. Prices aren't adaquate. Shrimps are clearly frozen. Soe flavors are ok. Not bad but wouldn't come again.

Amazing seafood with elegant decoration and attentive staff. The crunchy octopus is a must try. Seafood pot also amazing! The grains and polenta were amazing too! The ingredients are very fresh and the staff are very attentive. The quality of the cocktails can be better.

Such a good place, waiters made us feel like guests and not customers. Pricing is a bit on a higher side, but quality and portions are amazing. Ate here twice, was not let down, although had to wait for 40 mins on second time, but everything was made fresh and not microwaved.

Staffs are nice. I tried stew mussels, fisherman pot and pasta with truffle and beef, the pasta is very delicious, highly recommend. For stew mussels and fisherman pot even though the seafood is fresh but both are very salty.
