I had never planned a funeral before needing to do so for my Dad. The team at Collins Clarke were wonderful. I never expected to meet the undertaker, Luc, but had the chance to see my dad in the days leading to the service to talk about how he would have wanted to look. Luc was so sincere and compassionate, and so generous with his time. We even met again the morning of the service to make final adjustments. Luc heard every word and my dad would have been happy. The team in Pointe Claire went out of their way to accommodate multiple special requests, from allowing my father's cushion of flowers to come from the wonderful florist Atelier Carmel, to arranging quarantine waivers for covid negative attendees from the USA, to the very thoughtful coordination by the funeral director at the burial which made a very difficult moment a really beautiful one... and lastly I completely did not expect Collins Clarke to file paperwork for things like the government pensions and survivors benefits but this was a sincere weight off our shoulders. And the cost was less than I expected it would be overall. I was very touched and genuinely impressed by the thoughtfulness of Collins Clarke MacGillivray White and Dignité.

Amazing staff— extremely sympathetic and empathetic. I emailed my representative, Ariane Menard, serval times in two weeks and she always replied promptly and with professionalism. Never once did she make me feel like my constant revisions to my father’s file were a pain to her. They even arranged a viewing of my father’s body so my sister, who lives abroad, could video chat to say goodbye since she never had a chance to. The night of the visitation — a Saturday— we had only three guests. Before they arrived, we had a lovely chat with the two ladies working reception. Nerlyne even wrote us a small note she stuck in with my father’s things which made my mom and I smile when we got home after a long, taxing day. I know death is inevitable and scary, but I have confidence that my mother’s and my own after-death care will be nothing but respectful and dignified. I highly recommend Collin’s Clarke MacGillvary White funeral home. Their Pointe-Claire location is top notch.

I would avoid this funeral home. There was no dignity for my father or our family. My father prepurchased his funeral arrangements and upon my fathers death it was a very unpleasant, unprofessional experience. They forgot to pick up my father from the hospital, and upon arrival at the funeral home for our appointment they changed it to several hours later, as they were not ready. When we arrived for our second appointment they were late by more than 20 minutes (we passed him jogging on the lakeshore on the way to the appointment). We had to provide all details again, even though it was already in the prepurchase contract. Since they forgot to pick up my deceased father from the hospital, it delayed getting his cremated remains in a timely manner. The funeral director personnally assured us he would deliver my fathers remains to us on a specific date. When we didn't recieve them on that date, we followed up and someone else delivered his remains to us days later.

The planning and pricing was missing some communication at the start. However for the actual day of the service it was A1 they went above and beyond. I don’t even know where to start! They took care of everything, they took care of you, guided you and the staff showed that they truly cared during the day of! The priest they recommended which was father Frank (catholic) spoke as if he knew my mother and gave an actual engaging service. A part of the Ms society of Canada was there everyone had room and felt comfortable! Apparently the coffee batch wasn’t tasting good, they went to TimHortons and got us fresh coffee. We thought to be only 30-50 people I think 150+ people showed up finally they where well equipped for the service and gave us the time we needed even if we extended our time there. No pressure. Honestly great place to have a funeral, nice staff you must take their service! Thank you to ALL the staff that day it couldn’t have been a better service.

The loss of a parent is difficult to accept even though we were cautioned to be prepared for the inevitable. Our mother, Joyce Lun, left us at this vulnerable time so close to the holidays which makes it doubly difficult to accept. Under the challenging circumstances of a family disagreement, Konodo Thepsenavong played a very important role in assuring me that my changes to the funeral arrangements would be beneficial to my grieving process. He made it possible for me and two of my siblings to see Mom one final time before cremation, and easing the burden of wondering if she would be alone in her final journey to reconnect with our Dad. Thanks to Konodo, she was not. His help was essential in providing comfort in this difficult grieving time. I will be forever grateful for his sympathetic personality. Thanks also to the staff at the Longueuil location for their patience, and for giving us even just a short time to say farewell to our Mom.

I only wish I could say the same glowing review as previous reviews...but this place couldn't have behaved worse for my family and I when my father passed away last year. The young girl that we dealt with was totally indifferent, cold and uncaring. For a funeral home , dealing with grieving family they chose the worse possible person. this place has been around for many years and I think they have lost their way. I have waited a year to right this review only because I have witnessed with the recent passing of my father-in-law how grieving families should be treated. Obviously, with other glowing reviews before me...people will wonder what went wrong in my case?...I wonder that also. Because now they have left me with sad memories and my lasting words are to apologize to my deceased father for not picking the right funeral home. I would never recommend this place!

We unfortunately would not recommend this funeral home. From the time we entered, we were turned off by the dated decor, with large guilded mirrors, carpeting, and old (not antique) furniture. The place felt old. Then our funeral director made us wait 45 minutes at the front door, during which time he slowly walked by three times without addressing us. There was no appearance of hurrying or being concerned about the delay, even though a verbal apology was later given. We could have gotten past this if he had been helpful and provided proper guidance during our meeting, but that was unfortunately not the case. After that meeting, we ended up only using this funeral home for the administrative paperwork and cremation that had been pre-arranged, and we went elsewhere (to Voluntas Commemoration), where we received service that was absolutely excellent.

I wish to congratulate you and your team for an outstanding job in the preparation and execution of my sister Margaret's funeral, from the first meeting we had with you Konodo we knew we were in good hands. you truly are a compassionate and professional person. From the pall bearers leaving the salon to the church and onto the cemetery the care and dignity were awesome, especially given the weather conditions at the time. The caterer which you recommended was absolutely fantastic. The food was excellent as well as the service. Those attending were very impressed as was I. On behalf of my family and I we again thank Collins Clarke and you very much for making the funereal of our sister proceed with compassion and dignity.

We ordered flowers through Teleflora (via the funeral home's website) for our Uncle's funeral that we were unable to attend. Very disappointingly, the flowers were never sent and a bit of a nightmare ensued with Teleflora. That said, the lovely funeral director at CCGW, Konodo went above and beyond to help us get our money back. He worked tirelessly to contact the uncontactable and get this sorted for us, as soon as possible. Neither party should have encountered all this incompetency and stress (my advice is to use an alternate florist), but Konodo could not have been more helpful and accommodating. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this funeral home, if you want top notch service in your time of need. Thanks Konondo!

Our family has had a lot of grief this past year, losing several members. Having used Collins Clarke to say goodbye to two of our loved ones, has been a blessing. For handling the passing of my mother, the staff were top notch, both in terms of professionality and sincerity! Everything was clear from the start and all went as planned. My only issue is that the building itself is in need up some updating/upgrading (this is not the immediate staff's fault, they truly were wonderful). We used this funeral home for our latest family funeral. While there was an initial problem of room overbooking, our funeral director, Konodo, was able to find a creative solution that turned out beautifully. Konodo was kind and caring. During these difficult times of the Covidvirus and social distancing, the process of dealing with my mother's death and cremation was a little strange. I never realized how important it was to talk to someone face to face during this emotional endeavor. A distinguished place to hold a funeral. Staff is very understanding and professional. Little touches, like purse sized tissue packs, coat racks, and all the modern amenities like a flat screen for showing videos of the beloved deceased combine to make for a peaceful send off. Parking lot is small, street parking close.

Our family was very pleased in the end with the services provided. We got off to a bit of a confusing start but it got straightened out once we asked for more help.
