"There are 25 displays describing police heritage, Queensland crimes, police investigative techniques, medals, the history of police women, operational equipment and transport, amongst others"
"Popped in here on the way to a friend's and pleasantly surprised"
"I've been to this place a few times and the displays were all the same, but on the plus side, if you're able to get the kids here, there's a police motorcycle, when you sit on it the lights flash!! Just warning you though, there's also a detailed murder scene mockup so maybe keep the kids away from that!!"
"A lovely little free museum, I visited to escape a rain shower"
"Very informative place with lots of displays to get knowledge about the local police activities and history"
There are 25 displays describing police heritage, Queensland crimes, police investigative techniques, medals, the history of police women, operational equipment and transport, amongst others. The simulated murder scene is a popular attraction - you can come and try your hand at solving this crime. The Research Library is home to a monograph collection, as well as archival material and images that date back to 1864. Researchers are welcome to use these research facilities, but please contact the Museum to make an appointment. Museum staff can conduct research on your behalf if you are unable to visit the Museum in person.
Popped in here on the way to a friend's and pleasantly surprised. Open limited hours but you can just walk in and see the artifacts from the history of the police force from badges, a crime scene, flags and badges and more. They do have a store however that is open limited hours, but you can see online and then get this delivered. So very cool items. Well worth a visit if you near it.

Recently viewed the exhibit on a weekend, not very large but beautifully presented. The person on duty even went out of their way to present the exhibit, very nicely done. Highly recommend it.
An intriguing trip through the history of Queensland cops, complete with crime scene mockups, old uniforms, awesome cameras and technology.
Looking to fill in some time with grandkids before live play at city hall.Closed Friday's...annoyed because it's school holidays. Oh well.
Thank You to all the good Officers who have kept Australia Saveable year by year. My lil family loves you guys and stay safe !!
If I hadn't of been walking past I wouldn't have known that it exists! Good museum with lots of history and cool stuff in it.
Good displays, good customer service before the visit, and the tour can be done by yourself, so any time it's open will work
Good displays, hidden museum with lots of informative history and cool stuff in it. So repeat visits worthwhile
Super interesting! I wouldn’t make a special trip but if you’re already in Brisbane definitely worth a visit!
