We were visiting Montreal for three nights and were looking for a place to eat near our AirBnB. After checking on the local options we chose Pizza Nino and although there was a large family gathering that evening they fit the six of us in. We went in planning to have pizza but ended up with just one pizza order as two couples ended up sharing the specials which included a starter, main, dessert and coffee, all for under $23. We enjoyed everything about the place: the food, the excellent, friendly service, the relaxed atmosphere ( it was like being at a big family gathering with adults, kids, a birthday cake). We liked the fact we could take our own beer or wine which the server opened and poured, all without a corkage fee or additional charge. Two nights later, we were back again for our last night in Montreal. This time everyone ordered and shared the specials. Once again, the same friendly service, great tasting food, home made sauces and value for our money. I hope that Nino's is there for our next Montreal visit as it is becoming harder to find long-time family owned and operated restaurants with a focus on the customer service and quality food.

Went to Nino's today with a group of elderly ladies . The service was fantastic. The waitress was pleasant, helpful (one of the ladies could not open a vinegar packet and the help was done efficiently, with humor and without anyone else noticing) The service was fast, the portions plentiful. When most could not finish their meal the waitress quickly suggested that the remaining portions be taken home and take home containers soon lined the table. Tea and coffee was served with dessert and everyone ate at the same time with no one being forgotten or served late. With such a group usually there are some negative comments. Not at Nino's, only good things said and suggestions that we return were plentiful. Thank you for a really enjoyable eating experience

Great local Italian family diner serving awesome handmade and fresh meals. They make everything from scratch, even the sub bread! We love their pizza, the cheese one is very flavourful and the vegetarian is quite generous (kids love it with extra bacon!). I had the pasta, the fish and the parmigiana veal and everything is fresh and delicious! It is our regular choice for delivery since we moved here about 20 years ago. Moreover the staff is very friendly. It is an institution in Ville Emard.

A long time family run Italian restaurant in the monk street, this is the place to go if you want to try authentic Italian pizza. It's gonna be really pricey, my friend and I almost went broke after this haha, but it is so damn tasty and melts in your mouth! We tried their cheese pizza and Alfredo pasta. The whole experience was amazing. We got to speak with the owners children, they told us a little about their story. Must visit for a delicious cheesy pizza!

finally had a date night and chose to go to pizza nino as it’s walking distance and a byob! we were NOT disappointed. we didn’t have a reservation (which we’ll make in the future- it was busy!) but were lucky to be seated right away by the lovely Annie. The food was de-licious! even given the busy atmosphere (there was a party in one half of the restaurant) the service was A+ and Annie was super kind and personable. We’ll definitely be back!

I had high expectations for Pizza Nino considering the authentic Italian management and reputation. I decided to sample a quintessential Italian dish, a minced meat lasagna. The texture was pleasant and flavorful albeit overly salt. The huge let-down however was the missing ricotta and not mozzarella between the layers of lasagna....we asked the waitress to check with the kitchen if this was forgotten to which a "this is the recipe" was shared. Wow, for a $19 plus tax lasagna, it was a real disappointment...bring your own wine alleviated things though.

Horrible customer services with waitress on the spectrum!! A tiny little 4ft pip squeak owner that thinks not being served what was order is the customers fault lol typical short man syndrom!! Food is basically what McDonalds would be if it made pasta and pizza except McDonalds most likey would have more flavor! If you want good Italian food look somewhere else cuz Pizza Nino is over priced microwaved meals :)

The cheese pizza was not bad, the meat lasagne tasted like chef Boyardee. The sub was sub-par, not exactly generous portions of meat yet a colossal mess to eat even with a fork and knife. I hadn't noticed that I needed to pay about $3 more for mozzarella cheese therefore my sub came with cheese whizz or Velveeta or some such spread. On the positive side the staff seemed nice and the delivery time wasn't bad. Perhaps a different experience in restaurant but I will NOT be ordering from here again.

I’ve always loved the pizza but had my first dine in experience. Amazing!! The pasta was very generous, tasty and hot. I had the fettuccini carbonara. Huge bits of bacon leaves one with no complaints. Fresh bread as a side and the absolute best service! Try the Montezuma cake if you like chocolate. Deliciously devilish. The service made us feel like VIPs. Very well done. Decor is cute and charming. Cozy and comfortable. A little dark but it is a great atmosphere for dinner.

We enjoyed our whole experience! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Then the food came and it was delicious! We’re looking forward to returning soon to try other dishes and enjoy the atmosphere. They made us feel like family. Thanks for everything.

Dough used for the subs and pizza is brilliant. Service cordial and prompt. Decor harkens back to a different time, in a good way. The only knock on this place are the prices, which have skyrocketted in the past 5 years. Perhaps that's just the cost of food in general but $60 (includes tip and tax) for a sub, medium pizza and a small fry is pricey no matter how you cut it. Edit: Two two year olds and two adults shared the meal.

  • Jakub Pustol

Nice little place to go with friends or a casual eat. Super open atmosphere with a neighbourhood vibe. Food is good, better than you'd expect from a local joint. Specialize in pizza and subs (subs made from pizza dough). Decent quality for the price. Our waitress Cindy was amazing!!! Put up with our eclectic group, friendly but not intrusive, knew how to crack a good joke and made us feel at home for our first time.

Every visit to Montreal MUST INCLUDE a “Special Nino” !!!! Ask for the 14” option. Trust me !!! Coming from Niagara Falls, Ontario to visit family here many times and the quality, flavour, service and hospitality has never disappointed!!! ❤️️ THANK YOU !!! We WILL be back !!!!

Check out this restaurant for good food and a charming ambiance. We had soup and pasta for dinner, which were both delicious. The bring your own wine option was also nice. The servers were friendly and professional. We will go back again soon.

Never been disappointed. This family run gem in Ville Emard is one of the last remaining pieces of proof that Ville Emard once was home to a large and thriving Italian community. Homemade recipes, and great service make this a place to come back to over and over. Hard decision between pasta and pizza but you won't regret either. Absolutely love everything about Nino's

  • Jim Jazman

Sadly, the last couple of times ordering from this restaurant have proven to be disappointing. This evening, Alfredo sauce tasted sour, and rosee sauce had very little taste at all. It's too bad, because Nino's has long been a neighborhood favorite.

We went to a birthday party and while gifts were being opened, we were told it was time to leave. They close at 10:00 pm. They couldn’t wait for the birthday girl to finish. Furthermore, the servers rushed us to finish dessert so that they could clear the tables. Definitely not returning.

I love this place, grew up in the neighbourhood, know the owners, staff is dedicated, food is awesome, can't find a better sub anywhere in Canada. Everytime I come back to Montreal, it's my first stop, like today arrived at 530pm, and I am at Ninos having a sub. All the food is great. Tarte au Sucre for dessert. Yum!

  • Circo9

Very homie and quaint place. You must try their pizza! The dough is sublime! Soft and chewy yet crunchy on the outside! And they are very generous with the amount of toppings (at leats for the pepperoni pizza I had). A small 10" pizza fill up a dinner place and gives 4 slices. They make pretty good wings too.

  • shahin MB

i paid 20$ for a bowl of rigatoni's with alfredo sauce and it was honestly one of the worst alfredo sauces i had ever tasted. very thick watery tasteless goo. an insult to italian cuisine. maybe the cook wasn't having a good day. because i mostly see positive reviews. anyways all i know is i got let down.

Hands down the best pizzeria in the world! The pizza and subs are beyond delicious. A five star doesn't do any justice it should be 100 star. We are headed back in April. The gem of gems in Montreal. Everyone needs to go there. Trust me you will never be disappointed! All I have to say is YUM!!

  • Nickelle Sonmor

Had linguine with olive oil and garlic Thursday night. Was very tasty. Was glad parmesan and red pepper flakes accompanied the dish; was a nice extra touch. They have 20% off half portions which is nice and a jukebox at each table to add a bit of nostalgia :). Will come back again.

We weren't impressed with the pizza and Submarine we ordered! Was expecting more after reading all the reviews! Pizza sauce was sour and submarine was not tasty and was lacking lots of flavour! This time the cook must have been away on holidays! Won’t return and don’t recommend!

One of the best pizza places in montreal! Recommend! Whether take-out or dine-in. Dine-in has a large enough seating area - good for groups. A variety of pizzas and pastas available! And all are awesome! Flavourful sauces and delightful textures. :)

  • Pierre Lavergne

Friendly service with fresh quality food. Not your standard pepperoni. They have the good stuff here. The submarine buns are made fresh with pizza dough and are not overwhelming in size. Whether for delivery or eat in, I reccomend this fine eatery!

Amazing restaurant with the best Italian food I've had in Montreal. definitely worth to try it if you are into Italian food. The service is great and the owner is very friendly. I especially liked their pizza and sub. great place for any occasion.

With a group of 20 people. The menu was severely restricted. Every price was inflated. Bruschetta and soup were forced on us. Just waited 45 minutes for my soup. Even if the food is great I'm probably never coming back here.

I live dangerously close to Nino's, and it's a good thing they're only open at 4pm because I could easily eat a sous-marin for every single meal, every single day.

Food was good however, we were rudely told by the server to pay our bill and leave at 9:30PM. I now understand why it was empty on a Saturday evening.
