Edited to add: they forgot to cremate my poor cat!!!!!! They left him to sit in the cremation centre for 17 days until we reminded them and they gave permission for AWL to cremate him. He sat there for 17 days even after we had paid in full 17 days earlier!! Please save yourself the heartbreak and NEVER use them. I can't recommend this company, please chose another vet service which is more compassionate, I regret my decision every day. The vet came over and injected my poor cat in the bum which caused him to cry and hiss and jump out of my arms. In his 14 years of life he never once reacted to an injection. My cat was then put to sleep and I asked for some time to say goodbye, the vet just stood over me though, and then told me to then go and get a towel for him. He wrapped him up and just walked out so fast like he had another job he needed to get to. I will regret not spending time with his body for the rest of my life. It's been 16 working days since he was taken away and I still haven't heard anything about his ashes even though the email says it takes up to 12 working days. I emailed the aftercare team a couple of days ago but no reply. Contacted the messaging service and they don't know anything about aftercare. I'm now not convinced I'll be getting his ashes back, how can I be assured they are his? I also bought some ink so I could do a few paw prints when he had passed, but the vet told me not to because aftercare would do them. Another thing I wish I had done, cos I'm now not convinced it will actually be his paw print I get back. I assume again the vet just wanted to leave to get to his next job, and make sure I had to pay extra for the pawprints. (Just heard back from aftercare - they said they will 'try' and deliver his ashes this week, or maybe the weekend. This will make it at least 20 working days we've waited. There's should be no "try" with the amount we paid) It's been such a horrible experience for me with so many regrets. I wish every day that I had the peaceful goodbye for my best friend. Please consider using a service that has yours and your pets best interests at heart and genuinely cares, not just wants to make money.

They seemed professional and kind and the reviews looked good. However the web site is not clear about the pricing. I struggled to make a booking and once they get your number they call you incessantly. When I made the booking, the price list seemed convincing. It was $399 for home euthanasia and another $400+ for after care. I was confused. I thought I had selected the higher price that would include everything. But that is not the case. When you select an at-home euthanisia you expect the price to be inclusive I vaguely remember the vet telling me that there was an extra cost for the injection. I was too upset to pay attention. Our family is in grief and I received an email to tell me that my after care now includes an extra $100 or $200 for a package. I know I already paid over $400 for after care and I assumed my pet would be returned in a special urn with paw prints. But no. I have to pay extra on top of that. They are not transparent in their costs on their web site. I have also noticed this about other mobile pet services. They take advantage of how much we love our pets. Now I have to make the decision to spend $100 or $200 for how my pet is returned after cremation. That added cost was not mentioned at all and I assumed it was part of the after care package. It is outlandish that this is going on. My total price for a decent good bye to my pet is now close to $1000 if I have to choose an additional package for a decent and respectful return. I am so deeply disappointed by them. I have made a review in product review I paid for what I thought was a full service and to try to gouge out another $100 $200 for a basic urn, her paw print and her hair is terrible!!

I Called Pawwsum Vets on Saturday evening to have my dog put to sleep as she was suffering. I was told a vet would attend that evening after I paid the $598 fee. The vet attended and proceeded to sedate my dog by roughly jabbing a needle into her kidney region. This caused her immense pain. The vet said he was trying to sedate her. (If paying almost $600 for 10 minutes work wouldn't you think a humane service would include sedation? Apparently not for this company). As 2 days later I look at my bank statement to see they have debited a further $49.20 fraudulently. When I called them to ask what this charge is for they told me that is for sedation. At no time did they tell me this would be charged and the vet in attendance said nothing about any further charges. The person I spoke to said she would type a report while I am on the phone and her supervisor would call me to discuss this issue within 2 days. 6 days have passed and there has been no contact from this company. I am totally disgusted with the service they provided, totally disgusted with the amount they charged me in my time of grief, and totally disgusted with the fact they feel they have the gall to fraudulently keep charging my card for a total of $638.20 to euthanize my suffering pet. Do not use this service, there are several more humane caring vets around.

I was originally happy with the service until we had to have the vet back out.another $159. We were told our dog has a genetic disorder and will need to be on medication her entire life. Didn’t get the name of the disorder no information about it. Vet said he would email the prescription, I had to chase it up and then it wasn’t even correct. Petscripts won’t dispense the medication because they only come in bottles of 100. Vet is apparently sick but told me he was off to Sydney for the week and didn’t want to leave of dog in the lurch. This morning she woke up in a puddle of urine. The sooner she gets the correct medication the better. Not happy at all. Will definitely use a regular vet next time. Still have not received our refund as we were charged full price when said I’d get online booking prices. Adding more info 7/6/23 Our dog come to the end of the prescribed dose. I messaged on may 31st to ask what we do now as the medication seems to be helping. To be told to take our dog to a vet for an ultrasound and surgery. What?!! Are you kidding me. First it’s an infection $60 on antibiotics, then it’s a genetic condition that needs medication for the rest of her life $29 a bottle and now surgery. I would not take any advice from Dr Bahaa. $389 to still have no answers. Take your pet to a real vet!!!

The vet service was fast and flexible. The vet came to our home, so our cat, who can be anxious, felt safer. He didn't have to go through being shut in a cat carrier and driven to the vet. The price was very reasonable. The service was excellent. The vet provided the necessary medication for a small additional charge and taught us how to administer it. He also clipped our cat's nails for us, again at a small additional charge. This was very useful as our cat is indoor-only, so his claws don't wear down naturally, and the vet was very gentle with him and much better at keeping him still and clipping his nails than I am. Very pleased with this excellent and professional service. Update: Thank you to Pawssum Mobile Vets Adelaide for taking the time to reply to my review. This review relates to services received in February 2023. I accidentally posted the review back in February for a company with a similar name based in NSW. I realised my mistake yesterday and corrected it. I received a lovely reply and acknowledgement from Pawssum within 24 hours. Testament to their work ethic. I've added a photo of our fully recovered feline companion out exploring our neighbour on his leash, getting a "birds' eye view" of his territory. A very happy lad!

I could not recommend against this group enough. We called over the weekend to have our beloved cat put down after he deteriorated quickly over night. The girl on the other end was laughing with a colleague the whole time, even after we had stated that we needed a vet to put our cat down and were clearly crying. Super unprofessional and rude. Ended up going with a local vet who had a heart and a semblance of self awareness. If you want professionalism, compassion or even a basic level of customer service at all, go elsewhere. Obviously I cannot comment on the veterinary quality as we didn't get that far but the reception was traumatic and heartless to say the least. The owner probably will cite that they don't have my particularly name on record because my partner called, which is good because I don't want to be gaslit like other people who have left low reviews have received.

For a start false advertising said $139 for a call out and $20 off if you book online, what they don't say is the $139 is the discounted price is the $139. Then my cats got arthritis, they come in saying she needs a blood test to check if her kidneys ok cause of medication which is fine but they don't actually do the blood test, so who are you meant to go too?? They want money before you've even seen them how are you going to know their even going to come this way my first time going. The vet hurt her, I get has to check but was rough with her, supposedly then for more medication you have to get a prescription, for nail clipping it costs so basically spent $215 for someone to hurt my cat and give me medication and supposedly have to see them everytime need medication! Never had to see a vet everytime have been able to just get it if needed. Won't be back

Do not use this service to euthanize your pets. My friend booked online her family waited for over 2 hours until she made contact to be told lies that someone tried to call her (I had no missed calls), was then told when they tried to call her number to receive this service is disconnected - funny they called her on that same number after I checked online as to when a vet would be coming to her house & then on that same call it turned to her booking was for the tomorrow (22/08). Her email confirmation clearly shows it was for today. NEVER use this service or recommend them with the way we have be disregarded & treated. If you want compassion & care when saying goodbye to your beloved family member - don’t use this place At an already stressful time for her family including her dog you made this time even worse for us all.

I was in great distress when I first contacted Pawsumm to ask about home euthanasia for my 15 1/2 year old Pugalier Tilly. We knew it was time but I was afraid we would not be able to get her seen to for a day or so, so it was wonderful that they stepped in straight away and had an appointment organised for us that same afternoon. The staff were so caring and compassionate, and the vet Tamara was so good and gentle with Tilly; this is still the most difficult day you ever have to go through, but the service provided by Pawsumm made the whole process less stressful and a gentler was to say goodbye. Also the follow up was much appreciated. My heartfelt thanks to all involved.

No stars if possible. Called as our cat was having fits every 3-4 mins. Got told it’s $600 on a weekend, but our cat needed urgent assistance so we went with it. This started at 8pm, got a call back after 9pm that nobody could come until 9am. What a load of rubbish, we didn’t pay obviously and told them to forget it. Money grubbing scammers….urgent assistance at a premium price my ar*e. Update after reply……booking was under my wife’s name….quoted $400 for the consult then an extra $200 for the weekend. Don’t try and talk your way around the rubbish service and absolute rip off attempted. Our cat was unfortunately put down 2 hours later for $350….Scammers.

It was the worst day 1st April 23. I hadto get our Amber put down. I had the vet from Pawssum come to our home so our poor doggie was as happy and comfortable and not stressed as possible and had our other dog , her best partner in crime, close . Dr Bahaa was wonderful. We live in the Barossa valley. We had Amber cremated with AWL . Pawssum sorted all that out and took Amber. She was beautifully handed back to us at our front door by a lovely young lady from AWL on the 5 April.. She's home with us again.

We had our first home visit today for our cat Marco. I had no idea we could get home visits so I'm glad I come across these guys because it was amazing. Dr Edward was extremely kind, great sense of humour, very professional, excellent communication throughout and very gentle and loving to our boy Marco. Dr Edward is most definitely going to be Marco's veterinarian from here on in. I absolutely recommend this service, you will not regret it.

As soon as you fill in your number on their website you get a text. Before you can even finish filling the forms out they call you. Very very annoying. Then you book for a certain time and then they message you trying to book a different time.. why give the option for booking a time if the appt doesn't even get booked for that time slot? Then after finally confirming they tell you they want a deposit.. definitely wouldn't recommend.

What a wonderful service. Couldn’t get a vet in time on Sunday non urgent but promptly gave me an appointment in the morning. My 11yr old Shadow GSD does not like vet surgeries nor do I hv to try to lift a 43kg dog into the car so this was perfect. The vet was patient , kind and understood how to handle her. Will definitely use them from now on and it was so quick. Thank you to lovely Janey for being so helpful on the phone.

  • Kelly Burdett

My cat is very distressed by car trips, so this service was very helpful to allow her to be seen with minimal stress. The attending vet (Dr Bahaa) was very friendly, gentle with my cat and clearly explained the treatments she needed. I was unsure about booking a mobile vet service, but now would definitely recommend to others who need or prefer a home visit for their pet.

Our much loved 2 and a half year old cat Jinx became very ill and deteriorated rapidly on Sunday morning of June long weekend. Dr Estafanos attended promptly and was very kind, considerate and highly professional. The care and attention he gave Jinx and both my partner and I was 5 star. I would definitely use this service again. Thank you.

  • Tanika Smith

The passing of Bob the dog In many ways it was more than we could have hoped for. Bob passed away very peacefully. Dr. Bahaa was a calming presence - explained what would happen clearly - then gently sent him on his way. If only we could have such humane treatment of humans! Thank you Dr. Bahaa and pawssum.

  • Laura Haywood

Made a very sad day a warm memory. The kindness shown to us and our beagle, Alfie, at such a sad time will always be remembered. Dr Bahaa was so lovely and thoughtful. I am very relieved I chose Pawssums over visiting a vet surgery. Being at home was 100% better for my family as well as for Alfie.

  • Carol

Thank you for such prompt and caring service. My little dog sustained an accidental injury to her face and teeth. My usual vet was unable to see her and she needed pain relief. Pawssum mobile vets arrived at my house within an hour. Thank you. I will definitely recommend your business.

  • Wayne Paterson

Had 2 appointments and asked for same veterinarian for the 2nd when booking. Good communications all the way through. Very professional and passionate veterinarian. Easy and less hassles to get a vet to come around for a home visit. Will use again if getting another dog.

  • Heidi Lichtenberg

Very quick response, kind and supportive. The vet that visited was gentle and made the experience comfortable for my anxious cat. Glad I went ahead as it was just a check up that would have caused a lot of stress had I have taken my cat to the vet.

  • Kate Ross

No stars, a booking was made 4 hours later no communication, if a person needs a Vet to the house its important. I dont believe the good reviews & the call centre staff member was over the top as if the situation was funny. Disgusting.

  • Vicky Hunt
