Visited this cafe while on The Parade looking for a place to have a coffee ☕ The tables outside were occupied and even though it seemed busy inside the cafe, there were plenty of seats available. The cafe has a very rustic feel to it, which is very relaxing but also makes it seem a lively place. You need to go up to the counter and place your order; which is then brought over to your table when it is ready. The caffè latte was very good and the service excellent. The man who brought the coffee also served me a glass of water without being requested The decor is very nice and this cafe seems to be quite a popular place. As I was leaving I noticed that there were quite a few people at the entrance waiting to be shown to their seats. Would love try out their food menu next time I am in the neighbourhood. Can definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice cup of coffee ☕ in a relaxed environment.

The cafe has been constructed by sectioning off a small courtyard, decorated with various oddments on the walls and the effect is to create an interesting space that encourages a cosy, friendly atmosphere. While it appeals to me, the popularity of Sunday breakfasts means a background of chatter that may not appeal to those that want to quietly relax - they should visit in the week. Average prices for above average food; interesting and very tasty smoothies, perfect poached eggs and a good menu selection all rounded off with great coffee. If you like to eat quality cafe food in unusual surroundings and don't want to pay extra for it, this is a little gem, almost hidden away on Norwood main Street.

Unreliable opening times. Walked a long way past one of their competitors to come and try this place out on a Sunday afternoon. Info says open until 4. When we got there at just before 2pm, they were closing up. When asked about their advertised opening times the waitress said "yeah, it just depends on how busy we are". Here's the thing, if you're not open when you say you are, how on earth are you going to be busy. The other thing that was said was "See ya later". Um, no. No you won't. We walked back to our regular, Argo, which was heaving with customers, and won't ever bother trying to give business to an unreliable cafe, again.

I was a customer here today. Food was great. Excellent service by staff except for the OLD BARISTA GUY, he was RUDE AF!!! I don’t know if he owns the place but regardless, his behaviour today was unacceptable, he did not want to accept any apologies from me (i have apologised so many times) as my dog accidentally peed on the cafe sign while I was in the queue to order food. He was just whispering whatever and was CURSING a lot. Will come back for the food and service by staff but not for the barista today who was rude +++++++++.

I've never had a bad experience here. The service, food, the coffee and overall experience is better than you would get in most restaurants. These guys are a cut above the rest. The respect of food and handling equals every silver service restaurant I've ever been to. Their hospitality emulation is by far the best on the parade and if you're in the area you would be a fool to miss having a coffee, meal or snack. Rimu the owner has dedicated so much to the trade and it is evident and paying its dividends. Congratulations on creating THE establishment to go to on the parade.

Best breakfast place I’ve ever been to I’ve been to multiple places but no where tops the atmosphere and friendly staff they have at pave should be rated 5 stars by everyone!!! highly recommend the happy hens with pouched eggs, smashed avocado with eggs, The recovery roll with a green or mango smoothie fair prices for food only thing I’ll change is that it’ll be open later

The food and service were good. However I didn't really like the place itself. The floor is badly in need of pressure washing. It looks like they are supposed to have white concrete pavers but they are basically black from so much dirt and grime. My chair was a stool with no back support so I had to swap it with another chair. There were a lot of dirty looking plants on the tables which I find a bit unhygienic when I'm eating. I would prefer the plants to be off the table.

A cute spot for brunch. I’m taking one star off because the coffee wasn’t great. A bit watery without much foam on top for a cappuccino. If the coffee was better then it would have been a five star review. Food was quite good. I have the smashed avocado with eggs, very nice.

Pavé cafe, a place of delight, Where croissants are fluffy, crisp and light. Black coffee, rich and bold, A perfect pairing, never old. The prices may not be cheap, it's true, But the food and drink will see you through. A patio for dining al fresco, Makes for an experience that is so. Lovely, a perfect way to start the day, Or take a break from the hustle and fray. Pavé cafe, a treat for the senses, A must-visit for all, with no pretenses.

Great little cafe with friendly staff too. Really enjoy going there. They a kids menu and crayons and paper for kids which is great. One of those places that you don’t want to tell others about only because it’s too good to share :-) I’ve been here with my 2 year old, with my husband and kid, and by myself and every time it’s just amazing. I have not met a friendlier place with great breakfast and brunch too.

  • Sally Smith

Wonderful, calm, casual cafe that is very much a value for money place. Set menu is not too extensive but that can be a good thing when too many options make life confusing! Specials are always another option, and are quite lovely. I had a $14 toastie that was on special and was quite impressed with the serving amount and presentation. Definitely a place I would be happy to go back to with friends.

  • Aidan Archibald

I went in with high expectations, reserving doubt for all the hype I have heard. Good coffee is achievable but great coffee is subjective, what you truly enjoy about coffee compared to the next person changes, but I think they have cracked it! Smooth rich Gorge Clooney esk. Worth stopping in and grabbing a cup of indulgence. Because this coffee somehow always make my day little less $hit.

  • 3xaaah

Lovely experience this arvo. Either the owner (?) or just one of the baristas who served us - redid my matcha latte (to my better liking) without me even asking (they listened from a distance and paid attention). They care about what they put out there and their customer’s experience. Will be returning for sure~ ✨

Food is good but a little bit pricey. Service is great and make sure if you coming on weekend you book a table beforehand. Love the vibe they design here. Unique and special. Parking making be a bit headache to find but considering the location is normal.

This cafe has a great location along The Parade and a cool outdoor setup.I ordered a jam croissant and smoothie. The smoothie was perfect and the croissant tasted good also, except the menu said it comes with Beerenberg jam and I received a different one (although this is not a big deal). Overall would be happy to return again because of the service and experience.

Sadly, from the moment we arrived staff were rude. We weren't told that you are required to go to the cashier to order (which is fine, but informing us would have been nice). The music was haphazard and not evenly distributed about the cafe. Bathrooms were dirty. Glasses for water were filthy. Coffee was good despite are going after our meals.

Really enjoyable breakfast..very good coffee (flat whites), and excellent breakfast...delicious and reasonable price. Service was outstanding. Only potential disadvantage would be on a very cold day..partly outdoots and could be cold, but just rug up...it's well and truly worth it!

  • Mars Cuts

Food is always good here, serves are quite generous and reasonable prices. The service is quick. Super effective heaters that make the place warm on a very cold day. I thought the coffee was 10/10 too.

A hidden gem on the Parade! I came here a few weeks ago with my partner and was very impressed with the food and the service. I believe the waitresses' names were Bella and Evie, their service in particular was warm and attentive. Would highly recommend this place!

  • Jason Kirby

I enjoyed my brunch here sooo much. The vegetarian breakfast was colouful, tasty and fresh! Really loved the banana protein smoothy too. Really cute garden vibe there. Only thing I would change is maybe having some commual blankets to take the edge off any wind.

  • Matt

Best coffee in at least a 10km radius. Lovely fresh food which is not too heavy and utilises local in-season ingredients. It's local for me, as are many other cafes in this area, but consistency in service, quality and friendliness keeps me coming back to Páve.

This place is so aesthetically pleasing with its recycled timber and green plants everywhere that I regularly come just to be in a beautiful spot, it's only outdone by the delicious food and super friendly staff. Highly recommend.

A freindly cafe without the production line feel of the others on the Parade. Comfortable for a client meeting or a quiet drink with a book. I'm currently trying out their interesting selection of teas. Lemongrass Ginger today.

  • Carlos B

This cafe is a gem in the heart of The Parade.. they make great soups and the kale, lentil and mushroom soup is one I’ll remember for a long time. It’s nice and cosy in winter with wall heaters providing a nice amount of heat.

Lovely little cafe. Would highly recommend the omelet or the classic piadina. Consistently delicious coffee (their own blend), friendly service and great food. Have been coming here for the last year or so.

Stunning. Food absolutely amazing. Full of flavour and colours that all compliment each other. Coffee here is well brewed with slight bitterness. Venue is a good size, warm and welcoming. Would recommend.

  • Cheriote

Selective, common sense choices with a plant based, fresh food focus. Quiet, restrained, refined, rustic. Too efficient for a hangout; feels like a refuelling spot for the health conscious. Good coffee.
