I love this café! Run by a lovely brother and sister, they take coffee seriously. It's always delicious! Although the place is cozy in size, they've created a wonderful atmosphere - with magazines hanging up for grabs if you'd like a read, seating by the window if you've brought your computer... and there's artwork for sale on the walls if that tickles your fancy. Worth noting, their decaf bean is also wonderfully tasty! Thank you for being a great coffee spot for us regulars in the Plateau :).
Good coffee and nice staff but always out of croissants by the time I get there, which is more my fault than theirs. Most of the low ratings come from the laptop rule, which I fully support. There’s younger generations that don’t seem to understand that you have to order something for a restaurant to pay their rent and staff. You can’t just sit somewhere riding a single latte all day. I watched someone be very rude to a staff member about it on Saturday morning when I popped in. Shameful.
Firstly, the location is simply perfect. We came in for un petite dejeuner and were simply delighted with le premier bonjour !! Greeted with the smell of coffee beans and fresh pastries - we had a difficult time deciding what to try. Ultimately we landed on a couple kombuchas (grapefruit and rosewater), a chai latte, croissant and un pain de citron et cannberge. Simply delicious! If you’re looking for a true delight, add Paquebot Mon-Royal to your must try list.
I’ve always enjoyed the drinks here as well as the foods. Particularly their London fogs. They’re music selection is on point (they almost always have their record player going) and it’s a great place (pre covid) to go sit and study, just be aware of their policy in which they will only have laptops in certain places in the cafe on somedays. Bonus for perhaps one of the most charming front views in the city.
Paquebot Mont-Royal As a frequent café-goer, I would say Paquebot has solid coffee options and calming vibes. This small coffee shop is located near Parc Lafontaine. The cafe was almost full in the late afternoon, but it was very quiet. Most of the customers seemed to be in their own world. The cortado was bold and smooth, so I enjoyed it very much. I liked their neon-colored sign hung on the wall. ⛵
Awesome little cafe by Mont-Royal! Great place for almost all ocasions. From getting a quick coffee before work to studying hours on end for finals. The coffee they have is great, and staff is very nice. I personally had a capucinno to start off my day. It's a cozy place and would definitely recommend checking out. They also have that signature neon sign that's very popular on insta.
Cute cafe with several interesting drink choices. Not a lot of food, but some, including a couple vegan options. I ordered the café limonade on tap, very cool! I was quite interested in the curry latte too but it will have to be next time. A lot of ppl were working on laptops but there wasn't that many places to plug in (outlets). Otherwise I would have stayed longer.
Such a wonderful cafe with friendly baristas and amazing coffee! Perfect for studying or socializing. Also love the environmental initiatives you guys have, like re-using coffee bags for re-purchasing beans. We always get our beans from Paquebot now. The vegan sandwich is so good, I wish you guys had vegan baked goods as well. 5/5!!
Best traditional espresso in Montreal in my opinion. Received a local welcome from the owner who is always sitting close by watching his cafe. Traditionally served on the counter, the espresso was finely prepared and I got the rudimentary biscotti. I love a good counter served espresso, crema and pour was perfect.
Incredible little coffee shop. I had the seasonal latte made with oat milk and it was one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. The vegan wrap and grilled cheese are also so delicious. We really enjoyed stopping here, highly recommend.

Went with friends and the place was full (it's really small) but some people gave us their table. I can really see myself studying or reading there since it seemed more like a quiet/calm space more than a café to eat and talk with friends. The grilled cheese was excellent and their coffee too. Would go back.
They treat coffee beans properly by not roasting the hell out of them unlike many other roasters in Montreal. They have a metric called "Funkiness", which I find quite intuitive and accurate. It is positively correlated with the hippiness level of your palate for brewed coffee :D
This is such an amazing café! They have the coolest drinks and the baristas are the friendliest in Montreal. The place is beautiful and trendy!!! They play music from a record player too. They do the classics well but favorite drink is the matcha tonic. I love their cookies too.
My favourite cafe in town! The music and ambiance are great, staff is super friendly, their sandwiches (you have to try the Plume bagel) are great, and of course, their lattes and filtered coffee are simply delicious :) I definitely recommend this place!
All three Paquebots are amazing but this is the most spacious and easy to visit if you are around the Plateau. Also the source of coffee for our family and friends because they carry the amazing Zab that’s probably the best roaster in the city.
Nice view of mountain, decent coffee and service, but strange rule that you have to sit at the front window counter if you're using a laptop. I initially sat down at a table when the cafe was essentially empty, but was asked to move. It was
Wanted to give it a try yesterday. Simply bad for the service. Coffee is OK but not outstanding at all. What happened is I tasted the coffee and asked for more milk. The guy doing the coffee said that it was the amount of coffee he always
At first, I was really impressed with this cafe, nice workers, good coffee, and unique drinks. However, after going early on a sunday morning and buying a latte and croissant, sitting down and beginning work, I was told laptops were not
espresso was good! tasty, and lovely crema. latte art was beautiful but the cappuccino (which is what i ordered) could have had a way more foam. very cosy place to sit down with friends can chat, since they have a small outdoor area.
It's a pretty nice spot and friendly staff but the lattes are usually not super great (often burnt espresso or milk that's too hot), and the treats are aggressively average.

Most if the time I love this place, the staff, the working/studying atmosphere, awesome bakery goodies on delivery days and as for the coffee, I have only once had a bad one and their coldbrew is probably the best in the area.
Delicious soup! The brownie is very chocolatey and dry so order a drink to wash it down.

Sweet vibe. Good music and not too loud so that you can actually handle a business call. Also a downstairs terrace to finalize that business deal or handle a private conversation. Good coffee ahaha but pricy!
Great kombucha! Today they had grapefruit and water which was delicious! The chai was yummy fresh you could taste the ginger. The pastries... Chocolate croissant and wrap poulet were amazing too! …
This is a gem, probably one of the best places I have found to grab an oat milk latte. They also make vegan croissants! The people are kind and service is a smooth. Please try this place at least once!
Poor value for money but good coffee. Went for a Mocha and it was flavoured decently with a good balance between chocolate and coffee. Paid 6.5$ after tips for a medium size cup. One size only here.
One of the best coffee in the city. Warm and cozy place.

Excellent coffee - both brewed and ground for brewing at home. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. It has quickly become my go-to place for coffee in Montreal.
Cute little café with cute symbol (origami boat)! The barista was nice, able to adjust my order after preparing it!

Lovely little cafe with wonderful service, seating, and food. I asked for a London Fog Lavande and a chocolatine. Both were yummy and the pour and plating was beautiful.
This place rocks! You one stop shop for all the little sugar-coatings of life! Coffee, Coffe Beans, Natural Wines, Coffe Tools, Frozen Dinner, you can’t go wrong!!
Really friendly people, great coffee, quick service. It's a great place to hang out and do some work with a respectful crowd who are probably doing the same.
Café Plume is a charming spot with fantastic coffee and delicious treats or sandwiches. The staff are lovely, efficient, and provide excellent service.
Coffee is quite nice. Cookie was good. Service was cold and moody. 4 people in the shop, I walk in and the owner shouts at me because there’s only
Super cozy and the paper boat neon is iconic! Had their london fog with lavender - it quickly became part of my top 10 favourite beverages ever
Delicious vegan grilled cheese options, miso latte and vegan croissants and chocolatines
