I recently spent a few days researching CrossFit and other types of gyms near the downtown SLC area. Because of this research an advertisement for a "Free" month popped up on my Facebook feed. I filled out the form for my "Free" month and was contacted the next day by someone from the downtown Orangetheory location. I asked them if it was really a "Free" month and they said yes, as long as you buy a heart rate monitor. She said there was an option for around $75 and another option for around $125. I can't remember the exact numbers but I think these numbers are fairly close. I let her know that the heart rate monitor was not mentioned in the Ad and that I thought they should honor what the advertisement says. She had Angela, the studio manager, reach out to me on FB messenger. Angela said the that ad I clicked on takes me to their website where it mentions the heart rate monitor. I let Angela know that the ad is not actually set up that way. I let her know that once I filled out the form it gave me 2 options. It said I can exit the form or I can go to the website. I let her know that I exited the form because there was nothing that told me that their was a "Catch" to the free month and that I should go to the website and read up on it. If there had been any mention at all of a "catch" or "bait and switch" I definitely would have wanted to read more about that. Angela said she would have the owner reach out to me. I'm still waiting on that and will update this review once I have more info. I should also note that I kept getting these advertisements on FB so I filled out the form again on my phone and there is a part in the process that says "Show More..." I clicked on that and it said **Terms and Conditions apply. It named those terms but did not say anything about buying a heart rate monitor. It also did not say to go to the website for additional terms. It said stuff like "Offer Valid for Non-Members only." And when I did click on the website option it did not take me to the website. I'm not sure if this had something to do with my phone or a Glitch in the promotion itself. I then filled out this same promotion on a desktop computer and clicked on the "View Website" option and it did take me to the website. Once you get to the website it says free month in small font at the very top. There is a little star next to it and when you click on that you can eventually make your way to a section that talks about the heart rate monitory. Other gyms in the area are very straight forward about what they offer. They usually offer one month at a very reduces cost. The important thing is that they are very clear up front. This ad from Orangetheory is very misleading and says something about the character of the company.

Great workout. TERRIBLE front desk experience. Consistently. Pre and post-pandemic. But especially surprising now given the readily apparent loss in membership. Seems Orangetheory’s are disorganized or disconnected enough that I have been offered free classes to “come try it out” from various studios (like this one) *while a member* — I have 3-4 voicemails demonstrating this. One as recent as two weeks ago. Yet very strict on policies. At least at this studio. They had a policy that you could arrive 10 mins into class pre-pandemic. Today I was late for the first time post-pandemic where I was told I signed a contract re a 5 min policy and couldn’t *legally* be allowed in at 8 mins late. I’ve been at local studios where people have walked into class much later. Orangetheory has trimmed down class offerings due to decreased membership but this studio didn’t show a lot of care today for members who are trying to make the limited offerings work. Happens to be the one who called to offer me a free trial class too. Today I was first told “I can’t let you into class since *you’ll remember* in the contract you signed that there’s a policy…” Then I kept being called ma’am in a derogatory tone until I asked “please stop calling me ma’am” and was then only asked for my name when the person at the front desk wanted to describe the “situation” to their manager. If the manager sees this, here’s my name and how I experienced this as the member/customer. Hopefully helpful for future interactions with members and hopefully how I was treated is unique!

The Trainers at this location are amazing, and I can't speak highly enough about them. If I was able to simply have classes with them and not have to work with the front office, then things would be much better, to be honest. So 10/10 for the trainers. That being said, the front desk at this location is awful and will tell you things that aren't true or will not follow through on things they say they are going to do. Due to my work schedule becoming an absolutely nightmare, I tried to work with them a few times to freeze/cancel my membership. This resulted in a drawn and back and forth. Multiple times, I'd request an emailed form or the ability to freeze/cancel my account to no success. At one point, I was guareented a month credit due to the issues and the problems I encountered. Only to find out that said credit was never a thing. They then proceeded to charge me for the month I was planning to unfreeze. Multiple times, I had people promise or guarantee me something only to then have someone tell me that wasn't the case in the rudest most condescending way possible. Even if it was for something simple like an email or phone call. I would never recommend anyone to go to this location. If I was ever going to go to another orange theory fitness, I would avoid this location like the plague.

The classes are AWESOME! In 19 years of working out, this was the first workout I couldn't finish AND it made me throw up! I loved it! The reason they are getting one star is because they insist on your email address AND I was told you cannot purchase a membership month to month. I only wanted to buy a one month membership but if you sign up, you have to provide them with a credit card (they won't take cash) which they automatically bill and require a thirty day billing cycle to cancel. Mind you...not thirty days but a thirty day BILLING CYCLE. When I called another Orange Theory studio, I was told they would allow me to purchase just the one month so I could see what my results would be in a month. This one is closer to where I live. But since they can't accommodate me, I'll go somewhere else. I'll be driving out of my way, but at least I won't have to put up with that. Also, the folks at the front desk don't seem to know what they are doing. It also seems the people giving them 5 star reviews are their employees. I hate giving people bad reviews on their business. But given I now have to drive 25 minutes out of my way, I felt it justified.

I am honestly sad to write this review as I have been coming here for almost a full year. I am fit and love working out! I am always looking for something new, fun and challenging. I was getting that experience from Orange Theory. However, the other day I had a SERIOUS accident falling of the treadmill. Sometimes the workouts require moving from one machine to another in a quick manner. I tripped off a moving treadmill and have serious friction burns on my legs and 2 fingers on my left hand required extensive stitches. I understand accidents happen, but there are other safety measures orange theory could take to prevent these injuries from happening again. Considering my friend who I took also sprained her ankle moving from a treadmill to a rowing machine. And staff told me others have fallen before. I haven't had ANY owner or staff reach out to me to see how I am recovering. Just be VERY careful while working out here, don't let staff push you too hard! Don't be consumed by the heart rate monitors! Focus on finding the instructors who are there to help you get fit while having fun.

Orange Theory Fitness isn't just a workout...it is an experience. One of the best things about OTF is, while it is a group workout, it is customizable so each person can receive the maximum benefits for themselves. I am in my 50s and go with my 20 year old daughter. We both get an amazing workout...she runs, I power walk, her lunges are deeper and she jumps higher...I lift heavier weights :). Everyday they change it up and you get a fun, new set of exercises or series on the rower or treadmill. You can track your progress in class with your heart rate monitor during class and you get a nifty summary emailed to you after class. The coaches are motivational and encouraging...it's like having your own personal trainer. I don't feel out of place...there are men and women of every fitness level. Best of all I leave each workout feeling great and everyone from the front desk to the coaches and even the other customers are friendly and happy. OTF is the best thing I do just for myself.

I never ever ever write reviews!! Seriously this may be my first one ever. But I just had to write something about SLC OT! My husband has a very inflexible and busy work schedule and we have three little boys. These factors make my life a little hard to work with. But Angela and the staff have been soooo patient and kind and understanding and helpful. Jeff and Melissa have been AMAZING coaches and really made me want to work harder and better. Jeff always makes sure I’m doing my exercise correctly and they are both so motivating and helpful if I don’t understand something. Gyms are tricky and I feel like there is always this hidden agenda behind what they offer, and hidden fees that they will just throw at you randomly. But not with Orange Theory. The are the Chick-fil-a of gyms. Quality, helpful, efficient, kind, clean, and just make your life better! (At least coming from a moms perspective! THANK YOU Angela, Jeff and Melissa!

It's challenging and it's different each day. All I have to do to be fit is commit to showing up and giving an effort, which makes it easy and effective. The coaches are incredible which also helps. For instance, Taylor always notices when someone is pushing hard and throws some encouragement their way. She also cracks jokes and corrects my form on the weight floor. It really helps me bust out more reps when I'm tired, and makes me feel good about what I'm doing. Coach Julie's high energy carries my sluggish self on days I'm feeling off. Sometimes she's the only thing keeping me going when she's running back and forth calling out encouragement during the last all outs of the day. Just looking at Ali's physique is all the fitness motivation I need for a class (for real who would it not motivate?). She's also kind and knowledgeable. Evan is also great, he cares and puts a lot of consideration into his coaching.

The workout at OT is always great! New every time and pushes me harder than I would ever push myself. Every month there is always some new adventure i.e. : DriTri, Transformation Challenge, etc. But what I love the most about the OT at Trolley is the staff! Truly! Not just saying this for brownie points! I have been a member at a another location so I can say that the staff at Trolley has made a huge difference in my experience and my interest in going 3-4 days a week. Jeff, Emily, Greg, Zoe... and the front desk staff remembers your name and make you feel welcome and at home. No toxic vibes. There are more folx here that make this a great place to workout. I love that there is always fresh hair ties in the bathroom when I forget something at home and it is always clean too!

  • Julia Wong

I'm really not the type to leave negative reviews but I've never felt so unappreciated as a guest. The trainers and workouts are good but the desk staff gives conflicting information regarding membership and the manager treated me like a criminal when my auto pay failed. My wallet had been stolen and therefore cards canceled. I went in person to pay with cash because that's all I had and she said they'd only accept card. I told her my situation and Vanessa hounded me about when I'd get a new card (like getting my wallet stolen wasn't stressful enough). It's a real shame the staff is so unkind (Jill, the owner is a total sweetheart though) and I'll probably never return to this location. I'll be driving 45min out of my way to South Jordan where the staff is actually kind.

I recently travelled to SLC from Canada for a conference and attended this studio twice. There is a glitch in the apps as some US studios have turned over to the new app (including this one). As a Canadian I can’t access the new app as “it isn’t available in my area” on iTunes. As a result I can’t use the app to register for classes or see whether I had made it off the wait list. The crew at OTF SLC was super friendly and accommodating. Cam even texted me personally when he left the night before at close to tell me I had been taken off the wait list and made it into a 730 class the next morning. Had a very tough enduro work out with Jeff. Even though the class was full Jeff was excellent about giving pointers on technic and correcting form. Very positive experience.

  • Jill James

Going to OTF has become one of the most important self care things I do each day. And the best part is that each time I walk in the OTF doors at Trolley Square I feel like I’m going home. The staff at the front desk always presenting an excitement that all of us are there to be challenged and that we are all valued. The coaches, interested in making sure we do our best for that particular day. There are people of all ages and all different abilities and when I leave I feel we all think we’re champs for completing the workout. OTF of Salt Lake City thank you for being there everyday. And BTW, thank you for insuring our safety this past year. Your hard work did not go by un-noticed.

  • Rocio Z

I absolutely love this Orange Theory location. Jeff is amazing! He truly shows how much he loves helping people accomplish their fitness goals- he is profesional and his energy is contagious, I appreciate greatly his input in my workouts. The Front Desk and rest of the team are simply awesome, all very profesional, they greet you by name which makes you feel as a part of a family- recognition goes along way- I love the energy and environment. Also, I appreciate all the measurements this location has taken to ensure everyone can workout safely, with all of this going on... I will say I have been in one other location and NOPE, it was definitely not the same. This location and staff members are THE BEST.

  • Marlene Gonzalez

I joined Orange Theory this week and attended 3 classes already. A friend highly recommended it after I told him I’m looking for a good workout place, be it a martial arts school or gym. At OT, a trainer leads a group divided into 3 sections: weights, treadmills and rowers. We keep track of heart rate, calories burned, steps and distance. And we work on strength and endurance. The trainers pay close attention to each member which I really appreciate as a new member. The classes are always different which makes it always fun! I’m hooked and I’m the better for it! We have no control over our age, but we have control over our health. I intend to stay healthy and OT helps me do it. Thank you, OT!

  • Alli Lees

OTF is one of my favorite places to workout - it’s always challenging and there’s a lot of variety and options to modify, when needed. It’s a great blend of cardio and strength/resistance training. OTF at Trolley Square is my go-to location. The coaches are top-notch - they get to know you, are always willing to help with injuries and modifications and they do a great job of personalizing a workout even in a group setting. Jeff and Melissa are some of the best! They were possibly the cleanest, most well maintained studio in SLC during all of Covid and have kept up many of the cleaning protocols. I always felt safe and comfortable coming in here. Try them out - you won’t regret it!

  • Andrea Cutspec

I love orange theory and their whole process! I usually go to the sugarhouse but I came to the downtown location due to scheduling and ended up taking one of Jeff's classes. He is AWESOME! Really skilled as a group fitness trainer in hyping the class up and really ensuring you feel welcomed. He gave me some great tips in how to improve my form and went out of his way to ensure everyone was safe while doing different exercises. I really appreciated that given that i'm new to different weightlifting techniques. I'll definitely be going again! Shoutout to peter and Julie who are also awesome at hyping up the energy. Super helpful on days when it's hard to motivate yourself

  • D Buck

I hate working out, but got tired of feeling out of shape. I reduced sugar and workout at Orange Theory once a week and in two months have lost nearly 4 inches of my gut. Working out is getting easier, but it still kicks my butt every time. I compete against myself and my personal best and the trainers that lead the class show me what to do and how to accomplish my health and body goals and then it's up to me to push myself as hard as I am able. If my forum on the weight floor needs help the trainers kindly correct me - It's almost like having a personal trainer.

  • Cristhian Toruno

Awesome Coach guidance, you might repeat an excercise but we never do the same workout routine twice, or at least it feels that way. I started in June at 250lbs, I've lost 20lbs but have also gain more muscle. My injuries are not hurting as much as they used to, my mobility, flexibility, strength and endurance are improving faster than i can even notice. Its so nice to show up to class not worry about what your going to be doing, what muscle group, what excercises, etc. Just by showing up you are half way there

  • Casey Staker

Great coaches, great mc's, thankfully they reopend when the state told them they could in May 2020 and saved my sanity. At home work outs just aren't the same. There is something great about groups classes for sure. Jeff, Liz & Melissa are great motivators and push me to do more! I love the challenges, they always keep me motivated to keep going. The email and app summary of our work outs and all time highs are great and make you feel awesome about your progress. Thanks Orange Theory!

  • johnny New

What an AMAZING place to workout, the equipment is always clean, and the staff is friendly. All the coaches I have worked with give great feedback and ensure that my workout is giving me the maximum benefit! I started orange theory about six months ago, and I feel so much better about myself and my body. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great workout! Can’t say enough good things about what Orange theory has done for me!!

  • KaYz8o0o GG

I absolutely love OT. Started 6 weeks post-natal and it’s really helped me get back into shape and drop the lbs. I feel my strength back especially in my core which weakens during pregnancy. It’s expensive and I have to take a couple months of a break sometimes. It’s an all over body workout that I just can’t get at the gym. (Not on my own) The staff at OT is super nice and the trainers always give you options on the free weight portion of the workout.

  • Kassie Scribner

I love the coaches, the structure of the workouts, and the feeling that no matter what, you are welcome. When I first came to Orange Theory, I was SO afraid, because most group workouts are really intimidating. At the end of the class, I knew I had found something special. Almost a year later, and I am so glad that I went to that class. It's so much fun knowing that over the last year I've gotten stronger, and more confident in my abilities in class.

  • Jennifer LaPorta

LOVE OTF! Sugarhouse Studio is FANTASTIC! Particular shout outs to Jeff, Julie, Evan & Taylor (but all the coaches are awesome!) I have never been a big "group workout" person but I love, love, love OTF! 12 pounds down, 18 to go! Recommend for anyone and everyone, regardless of age, weight, athletic ability, etc. It is the best workout. I've gone to other studios in the area (as well as one in NY) and Sugarhouse is by far my favorite!

  • Abi Kennedy

I like it’s different every day and that I move for a full hour. I’m a plus size woman and my fitness level wasn’t high coming in. I was treated like everyone else and I’ve never felt less than when I need a modification or if Im walking on the treadmill instead of jogging or running. I workout within my ability but still feel challenged to push myself and get my 12 splat points. I leave having had a great workout every time!

  • Deborah Hoekstra

Orange theory fitness has honestly changed my life. I was in SUCH a workout rut prior to starting. Now, I'll never look back. I love the fun atmosphere and coaches who push you. I love that the workouts are always different and the use of target heart rate zones. Challenges are also super fun and makes it competitive! OTF makes me feel so accomplished and I can see myself getting better physically and mentally each workout.

  • Rachel Burnett

I wouldn’t be at Orange Theory if it weren’t for my brother. He invited me to try it with him. I had my own exercise program that I was happy with, but he wanted to do it to get in shape and lose 30 pounds. I decided to check it out and support him. He’s lost all the weight, I’m a ton stronger, and we’ve had a blast together. I love going because I get to spend time with him and I love our instructor, Liz! Thanks, OTF!

  • Landon Fullmer

I have been a member here for a few years and continue to love it. All of the staff members are great and help create a fun environment to exercise. With a busy schedule I have a hard time creating my own workout plan and sticking to it, so it is very convenient to show up and have it ready for you. All of the classes are challenging and have helped me reach a lot of personal goals over the past few years.

  • Sara French

Encouraging coaches, friendly desk staff, and an all around unbeatable workout! I have tried many different fitness modalities and none compare to the physical & mental challenge (and drive) that OTF offers! The coaches want to be there and that shows by way of their engaging presence in the studio, attention to form, and making each client feel SEEN in the studio. My only regret is not trying OTF sooner.

  • Thea Evans

I moved here for NM and I was so sad to leave my OTF gym because the coaches were awesome. I can’t tell you how incredibly happy I am to have found another studio with equally amazing coaches! Everyone is super friendly and is always helping members reach their goals. Not to mention I never walk out of there feeling like I didn’t get an amazing workout. Highly recommend this studio and all their coaches!

  • Kim Elzey

Orange Theory is a great 1-hour workout where you leave it on the dance floor. It's quick. It's difficult. You get, what feels like, a personal trainer for an hour butt your sharing her with the rest of the class so, it's not so expensive. There's not one class i've hated. PLUS, the is the first time in 20 years, i've had definition in my arms. And i've only been coming a little over 3 months!

  • Sarah Trevino

I started Orange Theory almost three years ago to slim down for my wedding, but it very quickly became a way of life. Orange theory is not only a killer workout, but has also introduced me to some of the greatest coaches and friends I could ask for. The coaches always provide great support and are really good about helping me stay accountable to my goals. I can’t imagine my life without OTF!

  • Rebecca Cunha

The gym is hard to find. Tiny little sign out front. We only found it because we saw people in work out attire walking down the alley. Parking is terrible. Once inside it is nice. Multiple showers and bathrooms. Different size lockers and a coat rack which was nice. The coach was greet and came around and helped instruct everyone when they needed it. Overall I liked the vibe and personnel.

  • Ray Taylor

When I go to a regular gym, I am overwhelmed and unsure of what exactly to do. And honestly, I’m pretty intimidated by the regular gym, too. However, I don’t feel any of that with Orangetheory Fitness. I love the group atmosphere, encouragement from coaches, and informational breakdowns of each exercise. I always leave feeling great and encouraged to keep doing better moving forward.

  • kyra herrick

Honestly, this OTF has the worst customer services and front desk staff. If you want a good workout Coach Jeff and Coach Liz are amazing, but the front desk staff ruin the overall OTF experience, the Studio Manager is beyond rude, dismissive and condescending. There is a reason I canceled my membership with L5 and joined an OTF owned by a different franchise much further away.

  • Brooke Shankland

Have been a member for about two months, and love it so far. The instructors are wonderful, pushing you with the positivity and encouragement that's really effective. Seeing your outputs in real time throughout the class fuels the motivation to work harder, but you always have the flexibility to scale the workout intensity based on your fitness level and how you're feeling.

  • Melinda Kenagy

Best gym I’ve ever joined! It’s nerve racking joining a gym but at Orange Theory I felt so welcomed and cared for. The class are amazing and the coaches do a great job making sure you understand the workout. They answer any questions and aren’t afraid to push you! The staff is amazing!!! They know us by name and make sure we are doing good. This gym is worth it!

  • Katie Fortner

I’m a long time OTF fan and adore the coaches and MCs at the Trolley Square location. They make it a very personal experience every single time and made sure we were safe through the pandemic. I’m especially thankful for how much they helped me modify exercises after a serious injury, so I could continue exercising and further my rehabilitation. Thanks, OTF fam!

  • Tanya Schmidt

I have taken many classes over the years and by far this is one of the best workouts. It is challenging and I get a great workout every time. Even on days when I am tired and don’t push myself as much, I still feel that it was a good workout. I can see the progress I am making and know I would see even more progress if I was disciplined with my diet.

  • Katie Bastian

I've tried everything under the sun and this is the first thing I've ever been able to stick to. Not to mention the best workout. The accountability of the classes and the coaches makes me keep going. I love that I only have to think about a few minutes of the workout at a time instead of constantly thinking "How much longer is this workout ugh."

  • Jaymison Petersen

First of all, I love your trainer Spencer! He has just the right amount of sass and sweetness that pushes you to be your best - he's like a drill sergeant with a sense of humor. I enjoy the workout because I don't have to think, I know that I am receiving a workout that will maximize my time at the gym. One hour, that's it - in & out, simple!

  • Sheree' Setz

They treat all member the same way. Arthritic, back pain patients are treated like everyone else, it's dangerous and I'm shocked they're still open! I would NOT recommend joining a "one size fits all" club and they pay employees low wages so they also are not taught on injuries, baxk, knees etc... Find quality and a knowledgeable health club!

  • Jessica Beere

Had a blast for my first workout at Orangetheory fitness. What I liked best was how frequently the workout changed & the high intensity motivation from the personal trainer. I felt like I could go at my own pace or push myself into the orange zone by gauging off the Orangtheory heart rate screen. Loved it & signed up for monthly classes!!!

  • Maggie Bradford

I love Orange Theory! The workouts are intense and are adaptable to people of all fitness levels. You are able to be competitive and the team aspect of the workout ensures that you’re not alone in your fitness goals. The instructors are wonderful! They are encouraging and great at explaining exercises and helping with correct form.

  • Daniel Murphy

Since starting OTF almost two years ago, I am in better shape than I have been since highschool. The trainers recognize my fitness levels and push me harder than I have been. The staff is friendly, kind, know me by name, and ask about how my life is (it's been a difficult year). Joining OTF is one of the best decisions I have made.

  • T F

I thought the class was a great cardio workout but I was looking for more of a strength training based workout. It was a good workout but I really didn't appreciate how much they called me after to join. If people want to join your gym they'll do it right away. I didn't like them not taking no for an answer.

  • Mia Leonelli

OTF has been the perfect workout for me. As a former professional and competitive dancer I love having the coaches and heart rate monitors there to push me through my workout. I also love how each workout is different and allows me to target different muscle groups each time I go in. Highly recommend!

  • Derek Beemer

Great workouts, friendly staff and excellent coaches. This location is also taking safety precautions very seriously during the COVID pandemic - I feel perfectly comfortable going here for workouts. I actually really like the smaller class sizes - maybe that can stay beyond the pandemic ... ?!

  • Shibb

I can’t get enough of OTF! I’m finally somewhere that I look forward to going every single morning, I don’t dread it! And if I don’t make it in the morning (it happened once) it changes my whole work day. I’m not as motivated and I just don’t feel as good. OTF makes working out fun!!

  • Sara Brunken

I love going to Orangetheory. I love how I feel after I work out. I enjoy the competition against self to keep your heart rate in the orange or red. It's a great way to stay on track during the whole work out that is always new and different every day - rowing, weights, treadmill.

  • Jennifer Coppersmith

My coaches, Liz and Gina, are great. They often monitor and correct my form while I'm doing the weight floor exercises. I appreciate their enthusiasm and encouragement. I also like the energy and atmosphere, it is motivating and helps me to get the most out of my workout.

  • Mazharali Udaipurwala

Its systematic. I didn't have to think about what my next workout or set is gonna look like, everything was laid down for us to follow without much thinking and wasting time. I wish the workouts would little more strength oriented instead on being cardio most of the time.

  • Maureen Morris

Staff friendly and energetic, great structure to kick start your health plan, love the work outs which change every time. Coaches get to know members, it is always fun! Love the concept of this gym, I really feel like staff care and are interested in your personal goals.

  • Aubrie Maxwell

I love this place! The coaches and staff are friendly and caring. They do what they can to push you while watching out for your health. In 5 years I've never repeated a workout. I am always being challenged. Definitely recommend this studio, they feel like good friends.

  • Spencer Thompson

I thoroughly enjoy working out at Orange Theory Fitness. It is more money than I ever wanted to spend on a gym, and yet I find it completely worth it. I am challenged new ways each workout and pushed in ways that I normally don't push myself. It's a fantastic workout!!!

  • Tom Walker

We've been sidelined for a while - first due to travel, second due to Covid! We're nearly ready to get back into it and are champing at the bit to return. Great OTF team, enthusiastic participants and dividends aplenty in terms of our sense of personal wellbeing.

  • Olivia Franklin

The staff is attentive, friendly, and helpful to newcomers. It is very easy to become involved in the program or sign up from individual classes. The orange theory is a fun and effective way to measure both progress and success. Interval training at it’s best!

  • Taylor Lines

OTF has completely changed the way I feel about fitness and working out. Not only do I get a killer workout every time I go, the coaches are motivating and supportive and the staff is so friendly and helpful. I have loved every minute working out at OTF

Love coming to OTF - I have an elite membership, so 8 classes a month, I go 2x a week. The classes are really good, you work lots of different muscles and I can absolutely tell I'm getting stronger. Great coaches and helpful front desk staff as well.

  • Eric Catmull

This place wins all the awards for amazing people that really care. The front ladies are so much fun to joke with and they are super nice. The coaches and trainers are next level incredible! Jeff, Liz, Emily, Mellisa some of the best in the country

  • Laurel Hanks Morgan

I like that Orange Theory always keeps me accountable. I like that the workouts are different every day and that all of the coaches are very motivating! I am pregnant and each coach also helps modify workouts to my needs which is very helpful!

  • Mandy D

Great people, great work outs. Unfortunately had to leave, because I moved across country. Minor inconvenience with my payment after that, but that was all solved quickly so they have great costumer service and are great problem solvers too

  • Caylin Lagoon

Orange theory changed my life! I went from not working out at all and being stuck in a rut to working out 5 days a week and the commitment to move forward! They always have fun challenges & events. It’s a great community to be a part of!

  • Jeff Brunken

A positive way to start the day. I like the energy and variety. This is like Cross-Fit but without the injuries (and knee socks!). The coaches do a great job keeping the pace and keeping things fun. This is a sustainable workout program.

  • Madolin Witte

The entire staff at Orange Theory Trolley are terrific - professional, friendly and always helpful. I have attended classes at OTF studios across the Salt Lake Valkey and in many cities across the US, and the Trolley studio is the best.

  • Natalie Brower

I've been a member for over a year and I love this place. It's a fast paced and fun environment. Workouts seem to go by really fast and it's really easy to fit into my schedule because they have so many every single day. Great place.

  • Jay Ma (Jessie)

Came from out-of-town for a single drop-in lesson. It was my very first time at any Orangetheory Fitness gym and the employees at the front desk were very enthusiastic and clear in explaining how everything works. The workouts are

I’ve been with orange theory for a long time. This studio in downtown is definitely the best! I recently moved so I had to go to some other studios. None of these are as motivating as the one in downtown. I miss here so so much!!

  • Carrie Mayne

This is the only workout I’ve ever been able to turn into a long-term habit (going on 4 years now). I’ve been to OTF locations all across the state and the U.S. but none of them even come close to the coaching quality of OTF SLC!

  • Emily Major

I LOVE OTF!!! Just started about a month ago and I look forward to class every time I go! Always a good workout that goes by so fast! Plus the staff and coaches are incredible and make the gym such a positive environment!

  • Cindy Jorgensen

Love the workout! Does not feel like you are there for an hour! Instructors are motivating... cardio and weight lifting in one ... I leave feeling like I have accomplished something! The best workout I have experienced!

  • Alli

The workouts are efficient and motivating. I used to feel “too busy” to workout but the scheduling system makes it easy to fit a workout into my schedule and I’ve seen great results since I started 1.5 years ago.

  • Shelby Green

12/10 would highly recommend OTF downtown. Amazing staff and coaches who always cheer me on and push me to be the best I can be. I would be lost without this place and these people. Can’t say enough good things.

  • Sarah Munro

Love the coached workouts, energetic atmosphere, individual experience in a group setting, and combination of cardio and strength training. I push myself harder and get stronger at OT than I ever would on my own

  • Austen Keithley

I love the workouts! The staff, coaches, and other members are so nice and helpful. I've only been here one week and I haven't felt out of place or too unfit to be here once. Loving this Orange Theory location!

  • Andie Mueller

I’m always impressed with how quickly coaches and staff remember everyone’s names! Been going for years and the workouts never get stale. Love that everyone is so supportive and the vibes are always so good!

  • Sally Khalid

I love OTF. I have sports induced asthma and always avoided cardio workout like the plague. But with the heart monitor and the coaches understanding my limitations i am able to break a sweet without dying

  • Jennifer Throndsen

I really like the frequency of change in what we are doing and that I don’t have to think as the coaches have it all planned out. One of the few places in my life that I get bossed around and welcome it.

  • Adam Bale

The space is lovely and clean. The studio is much more than a great place to work up a sweat. It's a wonderful community of fitness friends who always encourage me to work hard and be a better person.

Orange Theory is my favorite way to exercise. I have been a member for 2 years. It is challenging and always pushing me to do my best. The coaches at the SLC location are so helpful and nice.

  • Beth Dobkin

Great staff and coaches, thoughtful and science-based workouts, positive atmosphere. Perfect for people who want an intense exercise program calibrated to improve individual performance.

  • Brittni Sneyd

Personalized attention, everyone in class is friendly but minds their own business - doesnt feel judgy like other gyms. Work out everything - all your muscle target areas plus cardio

  • Sarah Young

Great coaches and friendly front desk staff. I started with 8 classes per month and jumped to the unlimited pass after 30 days because I was enjoying it so much. Highly recommended!

  • Dori Knight

Such a well-run gym with great, friendly, helpful, and sincerely kind staff. I've recently begun working out there and love the structured workouts I've had in Melissa's classes.

  • Madison Cranmer-Krall

I’ve been attending classes at the Trolley Square location for a few weeks and have been loving it! Haley at the front is so friendly and the workouts always keep me on my toes!

  • Susana Zankiz

OT Salt Lake is amazing!! Everyone is very friendly and the coaches push you to help you reach your goals. I reached my ideal weight just in time for my wedding …

  • Susannah Porter

This place is seriously the best! Every time I go Grace remembers me by name and makes my experience so comfortable. It’s always a delight to see her and get my sweat on here!

  • Masa Miscevic

OTF Salt Lake City at Trolley Square has the BEST SAs and coaches!! They always encourage you to give your best, and are your sidekicks on your fitness journey to more life!!

  • Heather Johnson

Orange Theory Fitness rocks! Every class is different, it's like having a personal trainer at a fraction of the cost and I love earning Splat Points for the afterburn effect!

  • Chandler Hall

I love the fact that the workouts are difficult but keep me motivated to keep pushing harder throughout the class. I never leave Orangetheory feeling like I wasted my time.

  • Catherine J Dent

I love working out now. Something I never thought I’d ever say! I feel stronger, my posture is better. Everyone is so nice. I never get bored with the variety of workouts.

  • Devon Huggins

Orangetheory is a very well-balanced workout. I love having the strength and cardio components included and the exercises are different every time so I never get bored!

  • Russ Tanner

Best 1 hour workout in town. Great staff, trainers and program. I'd strongly recommend for anyone looking for a change up in their workout routine (or lack there of)!

  • Darin Gilson

Signing up for a class creates commitment, and once there the coaches, music, heart rate monitor and other participants make for an excellent 60 minutes of good pain.

  • Michelle Rasich

Great programming! Great coaching! Great playlists! Great classmates! I’ve never found a program or routine that sustained my interest until I joined Orange in 2016!

  • Wesny Aliance

Amazing experience. The best place and the best coaches to work with. I’ve been training for 3 months now and never felt better. I highly recommend Orangetheor!!!

  • Lorenza O

Great work out. Great follow through by dtaff. Great coaching staff. The entire experience has been super seamless from the technology to getting to the location.

  • Annabel Sheinberg

I enjoy the variety of workouts and the fact that everyone can challenge themselves to do their best individually. The instructors are knowledgeable and helpful.

  • Brenda Lang

Challenging workout each time. No two workouts are the same. The instructors do a great job of walking us through each activity. Clean facility. Pleasant staff.

  • Marissa Fisher

Great OTF studio. The staff is fantastic and Coach Jeff is great at challenging you, and helping you meet your personal workout goals. Best hour you can spend!
