Remember when this park used to be filled with high school kids and you couldn’t walk ten feet without getting hit by a wall of smoke or some obscenity filled cat call by some pop tart of a teenager? Well I think it’s gotten better (depending on who you think you are in that sentence) and I really I like the landscaping they’ve done in the last ten years. Fun fact - from 2004-2008 this park was called Richardson park by the local youth for reasons that are unclear to me.

Nice spot for walking with friends, stopping and taking a moment. Located next to the Assiniboine river you can walk to the water and enjoy the view or walk along the frozen river in the winter months. Always interesting and enjoyable park patrons, lots of dog walkers and a nice free library located near by.

The park has been redone by the city and is very nice now. They cleared a lot of the bushes that people were hiding in. Cleaned it up. Planted new trees and flower beds. It has a nice sunny field and winding paths through the trees. They also redid the lighting to make it very bright at night.

I think this might be one of Winnipeg's older parks and it is lovely. It is bigger than it initially appears and is well maintained with beds of gorgeous flowers, lots of benches to sit & relax on, open spaces for gatherings & picnics and close to the Red River. No firepits.

Nice park along the city with an interesting history. No vehicle parking in the park, so either walk, bike, or park in the neighborhood across Wellington. Great place for a picnic or to meet friends, lots of shaded spots on hot summer days.

  • Beth Syrnyk

Love this park in the heart of the city. It is on the river. There is lots of trees and ample cleared space for poc nice or games. Benches throughout to sit and relax. The only drawback is finding parking as you cannot oark on Wellington.

  • Bill Lakie

Parking here seems to be a challenge with a sprint across Wellington. The park is very pretty and quiet. Unfortunately when we left one of our family members car was broken into. This was around evening dinner time.

Toujours très surprenant de voir de si beau animaux au coeur de la ville de Winnipeg MB laisser vous surprendre par la variété faunique présente à l'année dans cette superbe ville du Canada.

Nice park, lots of open space and shaded areas. Good areas for small space sports like Spikeball. Pathed throughout, dark after sundown, near the river so bugs can be bad in summer.

  • Chaingun Charlie

A good spot to picnic with friends, and one of my favorite places to sit by the river to take in some quiet alone time. Its also a great spot to meet laid back, friendly people.

  • Shez Rajan

Beautiful to ride your bike or walk through. Nice open areas to hang out on bench or the grass. Love the area. Go take a stroll down the pathways you will not regret it.
