Goggle Maps sent me on another wild goose chase four 2nd day in a role!!! I have no idea what the hell the problem is, but I think Google maybe would be better sticking to projects they might know about! I use this 4 work & it's just costing me valuable time and money running around in literally circles. If my company was even to do 1 mistake even by accident we wouldn't be in business very long and it wouldn't even cost the consumer a penny and we wouldn't here the end of it either!!!! Oh yeah and Bunn's Creek Park looks like a nice place to go in the summer time. So don't show and tell u the address that I would like to get 2 then direct me somewhere else. Just don't get it but I have 2 not be so ignorant and change nav. app. Thank's once again....

This place is like 2 blocks away from me. It's nice to have a forest in your neighborhood. It joins up with other walking/biking paths that goes forever. Just nice to walk along to clear your head. This summer I came across people filming a Halmark movie. It was fun to watch them. There is a play ground for kids. In winter there is a long slide for sleds and an outdoor skating rink. There is a building there to warm up in with washrooms. If it is raining in the summer you have shelter. Jan 6 2019 Just an update. There has been sightings of coyote in the park lately. Go with other people and make noise to scare them off or stay away from you. Find out what you should do if you come across a coyote before you leave home.

Went to this park for the first time today and absolutely loved it. A bit of forest in the heart of the city. Feels slightly wilder than most green spaces. Lots of dirt compacted trails; soft enough to be nice for running and hard enough to make pushing a stroller easy. Most of the trail is shaded by trees and if there is a breeze (like there was today) the water helps to cool things down. There are bonus wood chip trails winding through the bush. The only downside I can think of is that although there aren't any mosquitoes out yet I can imagine they would be bad here.

Good park, that has a nice playground, and several excellent walking trails along the active stream that runs through the park. Ducks, birds, squirrels, and many other species are present at the park, a lone coyote also has been spotted along one of the more dense trails. There is a covered area with washrooms and picnic tables if you so desire a sheltered eating or gathering area. Another unique acquisition is 6 or 7 different workout stations along one of the main paths, bench press, row machine, pull up bars, start machine and several others inhabit the trail.

Love this place! So serene and scenery is beautiful. Little piece of heaven on earth - nature at it's finest.
Playground
Nice play space for the little ones.
Restrooms
Restrooms definitely need to be tended to. Disappointing cause the rest of the park appears to be well cared for.
Dog-friendliness
Lots of people bring their dogs to enjoy walks on the trails.
Picnic area
Bring along a blanket for an old-fashioned picnic. Plenty of benches for seating around the park and near the trails/creek.

Great little inner city park & sanctuary. There's a trail that runs from Henderson to Gateway that is covered by forest for the most part and has a stream that it runs along. Sometimes the path is underwater in spring. The park itself has a great playground with picnic tables, a sandbox, swings, a big open field, multiple paths to explore or follow, a slide and ice rink in the winter, outdoor exercise equipment and beautifully painted bridges. Great place for activities and spending the afternoon.

This park has trails, along with exercise stations! Bring your own wipes.. lol Beautiful park, with some picnic tables ( could use a few more ). Also, a playground for kids. There is public washrooms, but I don't think it was open, probably due to covid? We did see a wolf there last year! So, just heads up. But, the wolf was more scared of us. If you love beautiful scenery, and walking, you'll love this park :)

  • c. martin

Lovely place to walk the dog or go for a bike ride. Fairly new playground and it is a popular place for gatherings as they have a public shelter with washrooms.
Playground
Received upgrades within last 5 years.
Restrooms
Washrooms are in good working order and are maintained well.
Dog-friendliness
Very dog friendly. But it is not off leash .

  • Rosemarie Sanchez McRae

Beautiful park, sad that the creek isn't as flowing like before, not a lot of water. We had a dry summer so that's a factor. Reason for 4 star review is for the lack of designated recycling bins along the trail when Winnipeg encourages you to recycle everywhere. Even at their picnic shelter, just a trash can. Nice place to immerse the dogs and kids in nature.

There are few places inside the city limits that compare to Bunns Creek walking trail. You can start at Gateway and make your way all the way to the river, or start at the river and make your way down to Gateway Rd. Once on Gateway, you can continue walking on a paved trail all the way to Talbot, about another 6K south along a nicely paved trail.

Bunn's Creek park is an amazing place you can visit most anytime. There is a nice park for kids and a warming hit and skating rink and winter snow slide in winter (Remember Covid 19 is happening so warming hut/playground/slide may not be available. Remember to take any garbage back with you to keep this little nature's gem clean

  • Petrus Josephus

I just love this trail. It’s right in the city but the creek and surrounding tree cover makes you feel like you are outside of the city. The area is quiet and there is a big parking lot for easy access. Not too much wildlife from my experiences. Just some waterfowl from time to time, squirrels, rabbits, small birds, etc.

  • I'm Batman

Take your dog for a walk, take your cat for a walk (I am not one to judge), see some owls, see some beavers, spin some stops, slip on some ice covered (but regularly plowed) paths along the creek, watch joggers run in the dark, whatever. Coyotes are a thing once or twice a year so try not to get eaten at night please.

  • Chris and Stephanie Ashley

Lovely walking trail right in the city. Lots of shady patches for sunny days. Very scenic. Not arduous in terms of terrain but we walked end to end about 7 km. Ends at the Red River. Plenty of benches. There is a public washroom about halfway. Trails are wide and we'll groomed. Not always paved but easy to walk on.

  • SKEJ

Bunn’s creek is a good hike for any skill level. In total for a full loop of all trails it is 7 km but you can do a much smaller loop. Trails are mostly gravel but there are a few dirt trail offshoots to explore. Close to the parking lot there is some adult body weight work out equipment.

  • Cakeman777

Walking by the creek is a joyous experience as you truly feel one with nature. The sound of water running, animals in the trees and the choice of trying out more rugged paths all add to this natural experience. There's even washrooms found in the middle of the park!

  • Jepoi David

One of the best trails in the city of Winnipeg! As long as there are no mosquitoes or wet/muddy spots, depending on the season. Our favorite time to visit is the winter, there is a skating rink and areas for tobogganing. And one can walk on the frozen creek too.

  • ISpy WithMyLilEye

Loved seeing the 7 sacred teachings posted up along the trail. 3km of trails in total. Lots of people with dogs going for walks. The toboggan slide was open as well as the skating rink. Great outdoor area for families! Highly recommended for everyone. …

  • M Fuller

Great place to adventure with your kids and ride around the many trails. There are normally ducks, beavers and other widlife for your kids to see. In winter they have a large toboggan slide, skating rink and a heated changing room. Our kids love the area.

  • Iain Ormiston

Beautiful park with a variety of trails that follow the creek or go through more forested areas. You're never too far away from someone's backyard, but the birds make up for it! Great place to find lots of cool and occasionally somewhat uncommon birds.

  • Alyssa Hetzel

Beautiful park for enjoying the outdoors. Paths and bridges were great for walking and the picnic shelter was great for a work gathering. The kiddos loved the park so that was a bonus. Very nice, well kept park. Will definitely be back!

  • Jeannine Lehmann

When I can't leave the city but want to feel like I escaped to the bush... I walk here. Very scenic, well groomed trails in Winter.. You can sometimes find deer, fox, coyotes, lots of rabbits and different birds. A must to visit! ❤️

  • Philip Mathejczuk

Fantastic spot in the North-East end of town. Unlike some of the smaller parks, it provides lots of shade around the play structure. A beautiful network of trails and lots of open space makes this park a welcome oasis.

  • James Dykstra

This is a great bit of nature right in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Yet somehow no one seems to know about it. It's a fantastically beautiful place for a walk, bike ride, or an improvised game of soccer.

  • Adele Mickoski

A great park to walk through. It is quiet and peaceful! It has a brand new play structure and walking/biking trails leading to Henderson Highway! This park is easy access & not too crowded for all ages to enjoy!

  • Matthew and Nicole Sawatzky

Great walking trails, awesome playground with lots of shade and bathrooms close by. In the winter they have a warm-up building with bathrooms, an ice slide and skating rink (no hockey nets)

  • Drew Brown

Public skating ice in Ok condition, decent size. Toboggan slide was fast and fun. The play ground was newer and my child liked exploring all of it. Looked like a good place for a walk too.

  • Miranda Kamenz

A nice long gravel trail with exercise stops, a park, and lots of beautiful foliage! Make sure to bring bug spray, and you'll thoroughly enjoy it. Great for long walks, runs, or biking.

  • Daer Moriel

An excellent green space, with walking trails, exercise stations, and a play area for children. During the winter, there is often a skating area groomed, and a toboggan slide available.

  • Jennifer Fisher

One is my favourite parks in the city. Albeit it's a little busy for my taste. There are wonderfully walking trails, and a place for children to play. It's beautiful in every season.

  • Daniel Rocque

Nice clean park for a walk in the forest, you can almost escape the city ambience here. With a rewarding sunset view at the end of the trail by the river after crossing Henderson.

  • Tiara

It's a nice park. You can walk, sit, children can play in the play area. Seesaw is good. Nice walking path and a small creek towards the right. Ample of parking space as well.

  • Evan C

Great place to the a walk. The trail can last anywhere from 20 mins to and hour depending on how far down it you are willing to go with decent parking and public washrooms.

Nice park with Bunns Creek running past. Very well kept with a nice shelter, trails with lots of benches to sit and watch the abundant wildlife that make it their home.

  • Ryan Cormack

Nice for walk, jog, or bike. Part of Trans-Canada trail. The weeds are starting to get bad in the native praire areas, but paths and grassy areas are well maintained.

Great place to unwind in nature. There are one or two steep slopes which can be a little slippery in the winter... some solid footage or cleats are useful.

  • Maureen Glacken

Beautiful park with playground and picnic area. Lots of lovely trails for walking with many trees for shade. Very large covered picnic area with washrooms.

  • Don

Best kept secret in Winnipeg. Escaping the city without having to leave the city. Lots of backyards along the path that you can creepily look into as well.

  • Richard Haugh

Nice day for a walk in the park. Not to hot and overcast enough to make it perfect. Went to check out the creek and bird life. Saw alot of dragonflies.

  • Kerry-Ann Robinson

Nice park with slope for tobaggoning. The warm up hut could use a plug in case you need to plug in a little heater. But maybe it's for safety reasons.
