Central Park area has been my home for 18 years when I moved from the suburbs in West St. Paul. It's a very multicultural and 'real' community; there's no facades - what you see is what you get including the good, the bad, and sometimes the ugly. But it's a place where you recognize and greet your neighbors, share experiences; look for ways to help each other. It may not be a perfect neighborhood but it's my community and I can't imagine living anywhere else.

This is a beautiful park that is really spiffing up the neighborhood! It has good amenities and is well used by families during the day time and also sometimes people with dogs. I can't imagine you'd want to be here after dark though not really because of the park but it's just not the best part of downtown to be hanging around late at night. Pretty much everything in the area closes at like 5: 30 anyway so it's pretty dead in the evenings generally.

Its a great park during the day time. They even have ice set up for skating. I have seen many people playing hockey or just skating as a family Having fun. It's a beautiful place. Although it can be a bit so enjoyable place to be in the late evening. There seem to be a few unpleasant people who like to hurt others and just cause problems for others. So please be extra care full at night. I'm the day time Have Fun!!!

I've been coming here for about a month now and I have to say it's a fantastic place to have a picnic. Lots of shaded places to sit, the fountain is beautiful! there's always kids playing soccer which is kind of enjoyable to watch!there's a children's play structure and a splash pad! The community there are all very lovely people! 10/10 would recommend for kids&Family!

This park is downtown Winnipeg so unfortunately the cleanliness isn't always well maintained and there's often a lot of intoxicated people stumbling/yelling around. Shame because their splash pad is awesome and there are a lot of families in the area who like to spend sunny afternoons with their children here.

An interesting place to go to observe human behavior from around the world. The park and neighborhood have changed in many ways and many times in the last 50 years. Back in the early 1970s during the winter they made a ice skating oval and the summer's it was a small patch of green in a dusty windy city.

People do not throw their trash at the trash bins even though it is all over the park...they just let the park get dirty. It is frustrating... when I was still living in that area I carry my gloves and trash bag to pick up trash so the park will be clean...

It is a nice park, although you could swing a cat and not hit a park security guard. That is because they sit on their asses all day long while the locals drink and smoke weed just a stones throw away from the kids who are trying to have fun.

Some people say this area is a melting pot,of people. A lot of diff. Activities go on in park like soccer. In the past it had a bad rep. for drug dealers. Cleaned it up a bit. But still there. Not recommended to walk around after dark.

Beautiful park during the day. Has a sunken astro turf for playing soccer or other outdoor games. Water park at the north end. Unfortunately the park can be a unsafe place in the evenings due to the type of people hanging out.

Really nice pool and splash pad. bathrooms are not maintained. Change rooms look so bad. Best park in the city you don’t need to book. Good idea to invite kids friends to join. Life guards should be maintaining toilets.

One of my favourite spaces and places to viait while I am in Winnipeg. Concerts and sports plus Knox United Church across the street it is a lovely open space in the heart of historic downtown Winnipeg.

Beautiful park in the heart of Winnipeg! A perfect spot for people of all different backgrounds to gather and socialize. This is the kind of place that is essential to building a healthy community.

Yeah Great park! I love The view of Downtown and the High rises while being with Nature in the park! it welcomes everyone in and it's a great place to just hang out in! I love going here!

The people around the area can be sketch at times, maybe keep away in the evening and early morning hours lol, but as far as parks go it's pretty nice, esp. for one so close to downtown

Large artificial turf area for sports, great splash pads for kids, public ice skating in Winter, BYO drum on Sundays (7PM - 9PM) park hours open til 10PM. Security is fairly good

Just have to knock the park for the washrooms, in which you have to actually be using the splash pad to use the 3 or so public washrooms in which they keep locked. Idiotic.

Passing by yhe park is always an adventure. There's always someone you know if not lots of character to see. Lots of excitement no matter what time it is day or night.

Took my babies to the splash pad it was enjoyable. Nobody bothered me or my children. It was your average day there, drunks, dealers, small altercations, and whatnot.

Nice park to chill . They have a field made of Astro turf which is cool .Some sketchy people come by and sit next to you , so if they do I just move on

Such a nice park. Best splash pads in Winnipeg. Not 5 stars just because its location. Too many people consuming alcohol right beside kids playground.

I like sitting here in the summer time. Love the new water park, alot better than old wading pool. And fixed up the fountain & the new soccer field.

Nice park. Finally the constant security and police presence made this park safe. Water works for kids, safe family oriented park, open until 10pm

Came to the park with my 3 yr old nephew recently, had a great time on the slides, on the jungle gym, and running around on the big soccer pitch.

the splash pad at the park is a nice place to visit during the day but you never go there during the night as it's very dangerous there

I would not recommend taking your children here. People sit at the picnic tables and drink. There is alot of trash on the ground.

Great for random meet ups with friends and fellow community members. Volleyball and soccer all night long. Untill 2 am some days

It's nice to walk through the park . It's also a good place to take my granddaughter to for the splash park …

Nice place to spend time outside in the downtown area if you just want to enjoy the weather or get some activity :)

This is awesome place to have your children play around during summer, don't miss next summer if you have children

Great splash pad! But it's not in the greatest/safest area of the city, and finding parking can be difficult.

Pretty basic park the only thing that's awesome is the kids play ground with the slide on a little hill

I was there for a quick moment and very pleased with the group of singers. They have beautiful voices.

City employees try to keep this park clean at all times. Please do not litter in park thank you.

This park has a very nice water park for kids and it has an artificial turf field for sports

It's fine to visit and watch games or take your kids to enjoy the aquatic play pad.
