"Great view"
Decent little park for running or cycling. Dog friendly. About half the people wear masks and half don’t. Lots of ways to get down to the actual river front and a lot of decent food and beverage trucks sitting around and doing business. And yes, true to the name, there are plenty of ruined mills to take photos of.
Very cool little park in downtown Minneapolis! Easy to park and walk down to and well worth it to see some of the historic ruins from the city. I highly recommend it for anyone, both visitors and locals alike. You can hit this up itself or in addition to walking the bridge to catch some cool views of the city.
It's a great place by the Mississippi river to walk and enjoy the view. During Aquatennial, it was the perfect place to watch the fireworks shooting from the Stone Arch Bridge. There were lots of folks there during that time but everyone was having a great time.
Followed the heritage trail around the park and had a great walk while enjoying the atmosphere of the ruins, the river, and the city. I wish the informational signs along the way were in better condition. Many of them are faded beyond readability.
Great view..poor maintenance..but unique setting if you appreciate the old and new ...not sure if the city realizes how powerful this park can be if maintained properly and revitalized with more flower beds, picnic benches and observation
This used to be a collection of shuttered buildings surrounded by parking lots... now it is a testament to Minneapolis' economic history and international reputation for architecture and design. Come see urban renewal and nature-sensitive
Mills Ruins Park in Minnesota is a captivating blend of history and natural beauty. As you wander through the park, the remnants of the once-thriving milling industry stand as silent witnesses to the past, creating a unique and intriguing
Mill Ruins Park is super cool and unique I love it! The history of the mill district is so interesting and I like how they have boards placed along the path that have old pictures and information about the mills and the surrounding area
Mill Ruins Park is right between Stone Arch Bridge and Gold Medal Park. Down by the water are some beautiful old Ruins where many people do photography at as well as explore. It's a great little area for walking and enjoy company
Fun park to explore, love when cities repurpose old buildings/infrastructure into a park or something else. In this case it's a old industrial neighborhood of Minneapolis that was a bunch of Mills/Factories along the river.
This is a must-see for anyone interested in the history of Minneapolis. Plenty of interpretiive signs. Great location for photography, in fact there was some professional shooting showing on during my visit today.
It's a really cool historical place to visit. I can't believe there are people that want to deface it with spray paint. When will people realize that ruining something through protesting only worsens the cause?
I noticed an ice cream truck, and the Park Ranger booth outside the walkway to the Lock. I'm sure there are rest rooms, just not obvious to me. Walkable path over the bridge; nice skyline to photograph. More
Love the atmosphere and look of it all together, I miss living downtown especially in this area. So every chance I have when in the area Hunter and I will go for a little reminisce walk.
Always a must stop at place when my family comes to town. Beautiful views over the Mississippi and of the last lock on the Mississippi (closed), easy parking what more can you ask for.
Beautiful place to walk and have a stroll. Can be crowded at times with all the joggers and people walking. It’s a must visit as you can have a good view of downtown Minneapolis.
Absolutely a must-see. So glad that Minneapolis had the foresight not to develop over the riverfront - leaving it open for the public to explore and enjoy is much appreciated.
. The park and museum are of historic and architectural interest. A visit to the Ruins can be a quick stop or a full afternoon of walking the trails and enjoying the museum.
Very cute! Maybe not the easiest to navigate or learn because of graffiti covering some of the signs, but a pleasant place to exist and a good quick stop to explore!
Right in the middle of downtown it's really beautiful. The trees line the river and the dam. Nice and safe area to walk and enjoy the summer days
It was cool to see an old bridge renovated for pedestrian use. Also to see the old Mills, the spillway and buildings around the park!! More
5⭐️ for the place and its significance. Must visit if you have 30 min in downtown Minneapolis. Dropped a star for
Very beautiful. I rode the Veo scooters & bikes around, a lot of bike lanes for it along with the walking lanes.
You can spend your day with a dog here. It's really nice walking on the bridge and seeing the city around.
What a beautiful place! This is a very popular spot to walk, bike, roller skate/blade, and more.
Nice historical area, we tried to visit the museum but it was closed temporarily the sign said.
