Woodneath is a great library, there is much to say. We love kids' story time, participating in both infant and toddler sessions. Programs such as 1000 Books Before Kindergarten and Kindergarten Readiness Program give us ideas and motivation for teaching and reading to with our kids. The children's play area is wonderful with lots of hands-on and learning toys, and somehow the library is still quiet with all the kiddos running around! We go once or twice a week, and our 2 year old begs to go every other day. The technology is very up-to-date for check out and return processes. The website software is well-designed making it easy to renew books, place new ones on hold, or rent ebooks. The staff has been available to answer any question or help us find the solution. We have used the drive-up window a few times, which is convenient when kids need a nap and time is limited. My husband and I have also relaxed outside the coffee shop. There is a place for everyone at Woodneath.

This is an amazing library! Friendly staff make it a gem of the community. This location has lots of great programs for kids, teens, and adults. It has a locally owned coffeeshop, lots of study rooms, lots of inviting space overall and of course provides a great collection of materials to check out. And it is the location for the library's special mission program called The Story Center which helps people share their stories as oral, written, or digital stories. Lots of programs are hosted here to do this. They also have an Espresso Book Machine that can print off a self-published book in 5 - 10 minutes. Also the library is attached to a 150 year old antebellum home. You really should check out this library! That pun was intended.

Temperature inside the library is 68.5° F according to their own thermostat. Internet is lightning fast, the fastest I've seen. However, I've had one download failure in three. Those took their 5-star rating away. Plenty of tables & electrical connections. The building looks new. Two single-user gender-neutral restrooms, plus a mother's nursing room. I asked if food & drinks are allowed to be consumed. One person said yes, but later, another said "snack food" is allowed. I was eating a canned food straight out of the can. My simple unheated canned food is not a "snack food", I guess. On the door underneath "Library Hours", it says "No Food or Tobacco". The staff and/or management don't know what the library policy is.

Great library with very helpful employees! I love the Woodneath Library Center! It is a beautiful and spacious library with a wide array of free resources and services for all ages. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the programs are engaging and informative. I especially enjoy the Story Center, which is housed in the historic homestead on the property. It offers many opportunities for writers and storytellers to learn and share their craft. The library also has a great collection of books, movies, music, and online resources that I can access anytime. I highly recommend this library to anyone who loves reading, learning, and exploring!

So good for kids! This place is absolutely wonderful and a godsend for anyone with kids. The storytimes are fantastic. Ms. Melissa is incredible. She’s just so good at what she does. The toys are always clean and in good condition. The kids area has four kid sized tables with interesting toys are activities. There are computers geared towards kids with educational games they can navigate on their own . There’s even a little outdoor patio with chairs and chalk. Every librarian I have met has been helpful, friendly, and understanding. I am so grateful to have this place in the community. I can’t believe something this great is free.

Woodneath is a excellent library. It is clean, spacious, and the librarians are very helpful of you help with anything being books to copies to their computers. I like being able to sit and relax in the library if I have extra time because it is very cozy. Their book drop off is great and you can also drive thru and drop off which is very convenient. The after hours drop off is indoors though so don't try looking for it outside like other branches. The cafe is also a really nice touch and it's great for having club meetings or finishing school projects in. They also have conference rooms you can book if you need them.

Wednesday at 10 a.m. and sounds like I’m at a preschool. I am sitting at the most distanced area of the library (away from the kids zone) and it is still so loud that even headphones aren’t drowning it out. People come to the library to quietly access public information/computers, to study, to read, to work. I don’t understand why it’s suddenly a daycare. Is a low noise level no longer enforced? The adults seeking a quiet refuge to read/work here are paying the tax dollars to keep it running and that should be taken into consideration. I would give 5 stars to the cafe separately, staff and coffee are great.

The facilities are top notch. But it seems as though every time we utilize this library something happens. From a parent telling my 18 month old they are putting toys away wrong to someone grabbing him that we don’t know and not letting go until the 3rd time I loudly say to let him go. It’s quite unfortunate we truly enjoy the facilities. The coffee shop is amazing, but I know other parents cautioned me against going to this branch due to the other parents disregard and lack of mutual respect and boundaries. Unsure if we will continue to use this branch for their Storytime.

Nicely made library that is very quaint and clean. The internet services do not work so my drive was useless. The front desk didn’t know what to do and just figured it was my computer but no one was using a laptop today except me. Anyways, the male librarian there saw me waiting at the customer service desk for a few minutes and just kept walking around aimlessly. I wanted to give these guys 5 stars but sadly, they were useless for me on my visit today.

It is a beautiful facility and I was thrilled to find it. I also am happy that they have a lovely children's area, but today it was so incredibly noisy the whole time I was there, I couldn't even think straight and there is nowhere to go to get away from it. Very disappointing. Better planning for sound management of large classes of gradeschool kids would have been a plus.

Mid-Continent Public Library has great staff, a collection that can be accessed easily through holds or even digital downloads, and a strong set of programs that support the community, creativity, and education in a balanced way. Kudos for such great use of funding and thus support, encouragement, and education of all library patrons in the community.

  • David Fugazzotto

This is my favorite Mid-Continent Public Library branch (though they're all very good). Great book selection, lots of useful spaces (rooms, etc.), study tables, and helpful, friendly staff. Haven't been there for a while, and the coffee shop that was there appears to have been a casualty of Covid. Hopefully someone will resurrect it.

I travel out of my way to bring my grandkids to this library. The activities that they do with their kids during the story time is fantastic. I would have loved something like this available when my kids were young. You guys are the best! The staff is so friendly. I enjoy everything about the library.

  • Danielle Painter

Great modern library and very spacious. The only reason I would not give it 5 stars is because it can be noisy. There is a large children’s section and frequently many children running around loudly. I recommend renting a small study room in advance if you’re looking for quiet :)

First time in a library in roughly 20 years! You may think libraries are boring but this place has kept up with the times. There's relevant movies and music to check out as well as a nice cafe area. They feature all sorts of events and they staff are entertaining and helpful!

  • C Johns

The LOUDEST library I've ever been to.Very hard to concentrate at times due to noise of children. Or ppl listening to videos without headphones.Feel more like studying in a play area at a mall than an actual library. Sometimes noise comes into the study rooms

  • Teresa Hurd

The people that work there are so nice and helpful. Very knowledgeable. They are so accommodating with their study places. Keeping everything quiet. The place is beautiful too. But it's the workers outstanding desire to help that does it for me.

  • Sue Williams

This is, bar none the best library ever. Very helpful staff, nice selection of reading material, pleasant atmosphere and Art classes which I love, yesterday pastel chalks. Also there is a coffee shop inside with patio seating too. Sue W.

  • Jerry Snyder

This is the best library ever. So much to do for the kids and adults. Lots of fun events and story telling time during the week. Also, having friendly bean coffee with super reasonable prices helps

  • Crystal Patrick

It looks great, but I have never seen a library team in such a rush to run everyone out. Borderline rude and the woman was out of breath trying to move so fast to check me out because it was 5:59.

  • Heather Yates

I love the drive though option for pick ups and drop off! My kids love the story times, and I have loved coming in for the writing classes. Beautiful, historical building, too. And lovely cafe.

  • Carlos Seoane

I love a well stocked and staffed library. It is comfortable and quiet, something that is missing in the new libraries. I am able to watch wild deer out of the rear windows, on occasion.
