This library is beautiful. I called to reserve a room to study and take a test. I needed the room for 4 hours on Dec 11, 2023. I was told that I could not reserve a room for 4 hours and to go somewhere else. I looked at the information about this library and it states that a room can be reserved for a cost of 10.00 + depending on the nature of the request. My mistake, I must have read the information wrong. I guess my request to reserve a room to take a Professional Certification was not valid and that is the reason I was denied the room reservation. Surprised by the callousness which is unheard of when dealing with library staff I went there to check out the place. The library is booming with activities and people. It is pretty much like going to a festival. There is no noise restrictions, so everyone carries on like they are in a park. The old time "speak in a soft voice while in the library and be mindful of others" does not apply here. Mothers bring your kids to the library; they will be able to run around, scream, play and carry on as they wish. That is my kind of library. Family oriented. Everyone, please give this place a chance. You will not be disappointed.

MCPL at Green Hills is a cozy and friendly atmosphere. Being work from home, I have been craving an area to sit and work for a few hours to get out of the house- and this is my go-to spot! The cafe area is a great place to sit and get some work done, but they also have rental spaces to use if you want your own space for meetings. Besides studying or working, this library is full of friendly faces and workers. It truly exceeded my expectations and I look forward to coming here every week, whether that's to grab a book or to sit and get some work done.

I have never ever visited a more spacious, well stocked library. A real nice open floor plan and features the most modern up to date electronic way to reutn books in building. The staff was extremely knowledgeable as well as friendly. Parking was more than ample. You owe it to yourself to at least visit this library located on Green Hills Road between Barry Road and Hwy 152 on the east side of Green Hills Rd. I promise you will not be disappointed!

Oh that new library smell! Very modern with a great collection of books, and a fantastic children's space. Several community and meeting rooms, a large computer lab, ample tables and comfy chairs with power outlets and USB ports for your devices. Large windows provide a ton of natural light and beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Staff is very friendly and helpful as always.

When I got the email announcing the opening of the Green Hills Library, I was delighted. I was able to see the finished products as soon as I pulled up. Once I got inside, the inside was much better than the outside. I'm really grateful to have a space to study and make use of this branch's facilities. The best library experience and I'm glad the wait is over.

This library is fantastic. Great for little kids. They have a kid play area with cool fruit seats, a play kitchen, and plenty of places to draw and color. They also have a fenced off area outside to where kids can do chalk. If you forget to back a snack you can go to the little coffee shop in there as a back up plan for snacks.

Wifi was out at home and I've been wanting to check out the new branch... it did not disappoint! Found a cozy spot near the gorgeous fireplace and got to work on my laptop. The view overlooking the meadow just made the mundane Monday emails so much more pleasant to wade through. I'm excited for the Cafe to open!

I love this library! It is probably one of the best libraries I have been to in my entire life. However, the noise in this library is just too loud. If you need to focus you HAVE to get a study room, but they fill up pretty quick and are limited. If they can get the noise down this will be the perfect library.

Sue has GODZILLA sized talent when it comes to figuring out online library card woes. I was having difficulty and her patience and calm humor helped me feel a little less….. dumb. . Bonus: I hear her helping another person in Spanish. A beautiful new library with excellent people helping. 5 stars! …

This place has wonderful seating, a beautiful interior with a lovely Café, and a very kind staff. If you want a place to get some work done, have some time to yourself, or pick up a good book with a cup of coffee than this is the place. I do wish that the Café was open a little longer though.

They have some fantastic study spaces- all tables have USB & and outlet! There are also no plain, hard wooden chairs so you can actually be comfortable & rolling white boards too. Plus a coffee shop!! 10/10 recommend for college students!

  • Kristin Schultz

Amazing! Beautiful, spacious library with a fantastic toddler play area, a cafe, cozy spaces to work, private meeting rooms, and larger community rooms. Not to mention a culinary center?! Such a great addition to the community.

  • Catera

What a cozy and cute library! There’s plenty of unique places to sit. You can sit by the large windows, in a cubby or even on a couch! Everything is always organized and the employees are always there with a helpful smile!

Oh Man, this place is so great. Cannot wait until the Culinary Center gets into full swing. Who puts a full commercial kitchen into a library for goodness sakes? MCPL at Greens Hills . . that's who. It's gonna be awesome.

  • whytewytch

Super nice library....coffee shop coming soon. So fun and many little nook and crannies to sit and read or use your laptop. I'm not sure what is going on with the cooking part of it...but it looks fun and I love it!

It was a happy feeling coming into the new Green Hills library. It's big and very nice. It's still being worked on but the main part with books is going strong. I like to bead here. Plus look at bead books. …

May be a little bit too sterile and modern for my taste but it's large and wide open and the staff is friendly and helpful. No real comfy-ness in the chairs and sitting areas.

I've been excitedly awaiting the time when this finally opened, and it's everything I imagined it would be! Absolutely fantastic! And such friendly staff!

Easy to access and the new library is beautiful! City needs to address the awful Green Hills road in front of the library now!
