The bar itself is pretty nice, the food was pretty good (the fish and chips were actually fantastic), and the overall athmosphere can best be described as a lil chaos but fun! My only gripe with this place, is our service was atrocious. We got helped with decent enough speed, but then once our server took our order she was never to be seen again. We each ordered a drink, a meal and a water, the drink and meal came just fine, the water did not. And it's not like we could ask her when she came by because she never did. We had to go to the bar ourselves and beg for the bill, which the table beside us, with the same server mind you, did not have to do so we know that's not how things work at this pub. Cherry on top of this is when bill time came, the server got tipped accordingly and then she confronted me and made a whole scene about how the tip should be mandatory. I wish I had her name as she never gave it to us so if you do choose to go here beware this could happen to you.

Two available pool tables if you're hanging out with friends Charged us more than the menu prices without letting us know beforehand, then argued that is the client's responsibility to ask for prices, even though we explicitly pointed at the menu items. After pointing out that this is a scam, kicked me out on the basis that i'm "cursing" since I included the f word in my conversation. A typical move to avoid the main subject which is the scam. Manager and waitress pulled the "a man is attacking a woman" card to gain empathy. Imposed a 20% tip on the rest of the table and stated that it's the rules in Montreal (we were speaking english and we're mostly foreigners so they had assumed we're non-residents) The most, and I emphasize on most, blend, tasteless, stale 25$+ food you will get in Montreal

The bartender upstairs was very accommodating through the night, getting to know our names and drink orders w/ attentive refill requests. I wish I could remember his name, but I will definitely be back for another night of pool in the near future. The pool tables themselves are a bit small and there is only two. Cheap to play for $2 a game, however the balls sometimes did get stuck here and there on resets - this as a non-issue and served only to show great service from the bartender who was immediately there to help unlock the table and release the balls for us. One of few bars in the city to serve Guinness as well. Edit: his name is Nez, great guy, went back a cpl weeks later and he remembered us right away and was fantastic once again.
I would give this a 4.5 but the excellent service from Adrienne put it over the top. She was quick, attentive and funny. Now the 007 burger was great. It had a little charred taste which was awesome. Bacon crispy and it was quite a big serving. It was hot! That tells me it was just off the grill. It literally took no time at all to get it. The fries were a little overdone, but I’m not expecting perfection at a Pub. The Cider was crisp and cold. Wasn’t a fan of the music, but my EarPods saved the day. Fun atmosphere. In the end...Adrienne made it the more special.
Your typical sports bar, serving good beer with lots of bar food, even has some Vegetarian friendly options . Surprisingly they have Indian food menu as well! Haven't tried the Indian food, but will surely visit again to try that. The service is also good, and although it got busy we were looked after well. Only thing that might bother some is small patio, but its September and the patio season is anyway going away ❄️

When the beers arrives found mine kind of flat..nice taate but light body, no carbonation that normally amber had...my friends asked the waitress to change it...and she take it when she comeback with my glass said that I was drinked already and they will not change it..I didn't wanted the glass back...I finish my food without nothing to drink..not even water....very bad service.

Came here after work one day. It was a really hot day. They do not have air conditioning but it was still cooler inside than outside. And the beer helped. I had the "spicy" burger. It's a good burger but it was not spicy. The only thing that is done is add some jalapenos to a cheese and bacon burger. Maybe it was just the jalapenos I got that was not spicy...big that's the case, your experience may be different.

Maclean’s Pub is a fantastic spot! They have billiards on the second floor, which adds a fun dimension to your visit. The service was top-notch, and it's a great place to unwind with a beer. While the music can get a bit loud, it contributes to the vibrant ambiance. Situated on a bustling street, the presence of security at the door gives a sense of safety that's reassuring. I would wholeheartedly recommend it and look forward to returning for more enjoyable evenings.

Went here on an early Saturday evening with my sister, and we made a fantastic choice!! Great atmosphere, lots of music and great food and drinks!! If you can get a seat in Adrian's section, definitely do it!!! She is an amazing server, so full of fun energy and so much fun to talk to!! Julian at the bar is also super friendly and has a really great sense of humor! Really, all of the staff here are friendly and helpful, you cant go wrong if you're looking for a place with great food and drinks on a night out!
Severely overpriced bad food. We ordered nachos and salsa to share and a couple beers. The chips were so stale they could break a tooth. They tasted like they were at least 4 years old. And they were $9. The jalapeño poppers came with a side of Kraft strawberry jelly, like the kind you get with a continental breakfast at a hotel. The bartender was super kind and that was the saving grace.

Look, this is the prime example of a pub that’s sticking to the core principes of what a pub should be. Delicious food (at a reasonable price) that will clog your arteries very fast, plenty of beer and a bunch of TV’s. The staff was friendly and the ambiance warm and inviting. Would definitely recommend visiting!

Great place with great vibes. They close the kitchen down before midnight on Friday, the night we went. They also have two types of really cool beer dispensers that they can bring to the table with a choice of beer they have on tap. They do a 10L one and I believe a 7L one. Our group did the 10L and it was a struggle to finish, it was also pricey at $143 Canadian. Would go again though!
My hockey team seems to find this place every November during our hockey trip to Montreal. Good, cold Canadian beer selection. Cool options for a group of hockey players (see picture), food was good bar food - everyone enjoyed what they ordered, good place to watch the canadians play hockey. You won't find your favorite team on the tv, unless they're playing the canadians...
Traditional Irish Pub. We had fish and chips and a beer. Everything was good. Great atmosphere. Our server appeared to be working alone. 6-8 parties came in just after we did. She really hustled and got everyone served with a smile. Reasonable prices

The place has a good energy, lots of beer options and good food. Great for watching any sport! I did have a bad experience with one waitress who was pretty much alone to serve everyone and took 20min to take our orders and only gave us attention again when we were ready to pay the bill — and we wanted to order some more stuff. I would go back and give it another try
Awesome service, food was great too. I had pizza. The beer was served with our own draft nozzle at the table, the thing had about 2.5-3 pitchers worth of beer in it. ~55 $ depending on beer brand. Pool tables upstairs were not in the best shape and the sticks had no weighted ends, however, tables were free and we had a blast playing. It's a great pub.
I don't have enough words to describe this place. It's an Irish pub but the best food they surve is Butter chicken and pizza. Good fries. Nachos were very ordinary. The beer they serve in huge towers. The servers are really good and kind. The pool tables and music both really good. The prices are very reasonable as well. More
Two stars, I would give it one! I spilled a draft beer on my laps, 90% full, I had just ordered it. It was completely my fault. They wouldn’t give me another beer for free, bartender said you can order another one. So it was absolutely my fault but I know most other bars would have replaced it for free. Never coming back!
Great place to have some drinks, watch some hockey, play pool and eat some good food.. We had the healthy chicken, butter chicken poutine and onion rings. I would say the food is a step above typical bar food. Our server was really nice. Had a great time - would recommend for a casual night out.
Had the chicken fingers because I had been craving them. They were overdone and the fries were a little undercooked. I love plum sauce however I did not like their plum sauce. The rest of the menu looked good and our waitress was nice so I might go back. Good portion of chicken fingers though!
The food was great but the service on the upper level is non existent. In almost 3 hours the server/barman came to the table 3 times, and one of those was for paying the tab.

Great sports bars with heaps of TVs. The wings were delicious, the beers are large, and the TVs have sound. Don't need much more. Is a bit of an Eagles bar, or at least was for the Sunday afternoon we were there. Lots of Eagles fans.

Beer is good. As expected. Service is great. But the food. Yuck. Eat at the shawarma place next door and save yourself. Nachos have a layer of cheese on top and then it’s just chips. The chicken wings and fries must be cooked in month old oil, because basically burnt to a crisp.

A waitress here was very rude after I left her a $24 tip and told me I was suppose to leave 15% (which would have been $33) but we only had nachos and drinks. Then told my friend “you know there’s other pubs you could go to”. And we were quiet and polite the whole time.
Good cold beer. Friendly service. Food was fine. Didn't enjoy the Butter Chicken Poutine as much as poutine in other places. Chicken sandwich was good and enough for two people.

Food and Beer here was perfect for lunch. The locals swear to come to Montreal, you have to try their fries topped with gravy . Location was great, beautifully centered right in the heart of Montreal. Visitation center located directly across the street …
Great sports vibe , atmosphere and inability to eavesdrop on others conversation is a +. Friendly and invitational service from entering - exiting. Definitely a place to be highly entertained with sportive action with several TVS to give massive follow-ups.
Don't go Saturday! Insane with a line down the block. I went Sunday evening for NFL, and it was perfectly chill. Staff is extremely nice and accomodating. Lemon-pepper wings were fantastic. Next time I'm in Montreal, I'll be back.
My friends and I arrived right before a group of fifty showed up. There was one waitress, her name is Maude (I think), but she made us feel like we were her only customer. The food was delicious and our waitress was top notch.
11/4/21 So happy to be home with old friends. As always, service on point, food tasty as always. Beer, nothing can beat a cold pull in a clean cup. My friends, I have missed you. Hopefully we're all back to normal soon.
Had a great time at this place before the hockey game! Great wings and the beer tower was awesome! Our waitress Adrienne definitely made our experience there a really good time! Would definitely recommend going there!

Nice old rambling pub to in Montreal. Very friendly staff and interesting view from the patio with Dorchester Square park right across the street. Convenient to the metro stations and St Catherine St.
I loved this Pub! Such nice ambiance - it’s loud but not too loud. Food is amazing! Specially the deep fried pickles! I stayed working up until late and had no problems. Loved my coffee with Baileys !

Nice old-fashioned Irish pub. Beers cold and atmosphere great. I'm sure that most of the menu is great pub grub, but the fish was not good. Soggy heavy batter around some sort of fish blend.

Ordered the beef burger. Worst burger I’ve ever had in my life. Bun was dry. Patty was dry. Such a simple thing to get right. Definitely not going back.
