Even with current "mandates" the staff have always been kind - they accept non-mask wearers (we've never worn one in there) and it doesn't change their service delivery. Always polite and helpful. In this current day, this is extremely important to know that this is a SAFE and INCLUSIVE store. Have purchased an array of tropical fish from them from Mothers Day 2021 until now - they are our go to place for all fish related stuff. Live fish have always come healthy and adjusted well into our home tanks. Approx 18 fish of our collection have come from Marine Plus. We have also had 2 lots of babies born recently. Purchased 2x aqua one filter systems, drift wood, gravel/rocks, plastic and fresh plants and an assorted mix of foods both frozen, live and shelf variety. Water treatments, stuff to help keep fish healthy after water changes and new arrivals. Staff knowledge on products and fish are always detailed and accurate. Spoken to all the floor staff at one point or another. In process of arranging collection of our large custom made fish tank (made by marine plus) and all the accessories soon. I've always liked your store... UNTIL TODAY, I went to pay off and pick up the saltwater setup I have had on layby for four months, (as my partners birthday present) I told the staff during the last payment I made that I would be picking it up today and was told that this would be fine as everything was in stock and the tank would be put upstairs ready for me to collect. So you can imagine how angry and disappointed I was when I showed up today to find out that my tank had been sold and there would be no stock available until after my boyfriends birthday. As far as I am concerned this is very very poor treatment of a customer and I will not be returning to the store again. Luckily Something Fishy had the same tank in stock (with lots more stuff added in and for $20 less than you were charging me) or else you would have completely ruined my partners birthday and I would be allot more pissed off than I am now!

These guys are amazing! I've had really bad experiences with other aquariums in the past but these guys go above and beyond to give you good, helpful advice. I am just starting out with Marine and they have all been really lovely in walking me through it step by step. All of their fish and corals are so incredibly healthy. I will only buy livestock from this aquarium. They have never pressured me once into buying anything from them, but I always end up walking out with something because of their really friendly advice. I think his name is Luke but he is one of the best workers there and has helped me and my friend so much lately on how to keep a reef tank! I take up so much of their time by asking questions and they are more then happy to give it. Even about stuff I've purchased in the past from other Aquariums. If I could give 100 stars I would. Thanks so much guys!

Great shop in Lonsdale, I am not an owner of fish and do not claim to know anything about them or how tanks work but i do take my niece to this store. I find the staff are helpful and friendly and very attentive. The shop itself is tidy and easy to find things, with a big variety of fish, some cute turtles and I did also see lizards They also stock aquariums and cabinetry along with plantlife and from what my niece tells me reasonably priced. The only downfall here is the parking we need a disability park and unfortunately there isn't one available so have to try and pick our times when its not too busy. I am almost at the point that if I keep coming here I just may end up with an aquarium . PS Not my tank my neices purchase today more plants and a few fish (their names escape me

I normally have very positive things to say about marine plus. This time isn't very positive. I brought a expensive angelfish from these guys 1 week ago got him home no issues settled in well but around day 5 to day 6 he stated not eating, swimming slowly and seemed unhappy. Day 7 he could no longer swim he was sinking to the bottom of the tank laying upside. I rang marine plus and was told there is NOTHING THEY WOULD DO. THEY WOULDN'T RE FUND HIM OR EXCHANGE HIM OVER and if he died that's not there fault. I tried to help him but despite my best efforts this morning he had passed. I am VERY disappointed in marine plus I feel I have wasted $65 and these days that isn't money to sneeze at so I'm very disappointed I got pushed away and nothing got done on there behalf.

Marine Plus is the first aquarium shop we visited on an ongoing basis, their helpful and knowledgeable advice about salt water and tropical aquariums is fantastic. I highly recommend them, based in the southern areas, located close to the Southern Expressway and the Lonsdale highway makes them easy to access. You can purchase corals, plants and faux plants, a good selection of rocks and other accessories for your aquarium too. They also have turtles, Siamese Fighting fish, lizards and pond fish too. Stockists of tanks, and can custom build tanks too. Loads on display. It's even a great place to take the kids (under a watchful eye as the floors tend to be slippery) to see the tanks and the colourful fish. And the store is always changing.

Olivers sold us fish with Anchor Worms. One passed. Took photos and video of fish number 2 and was introduced to a man who was very professional and said 'lets treat what I can see but your fish is very unwell' which he was. Well. Glad to say we are still treating our tank but the fish has made a remarkable recovery. He is still not out of the woods but defiantly thought one night it was the end to now less red, eating and swimming around again. Thank you so much. See you in a week to see what we are to do next.

Firstly. No one reads these Google reviews so the whiners and 1 star legends are wasting their time. That said. It has a good range, friendly staff and good knowledge. Pricing is also very keen. Their marine stock is excellent quality. They don't deserve the BS 1,2 &3 star reviews. Total nonsense as is the moron who claims Alex is pushy or indifferent. Utter nonsense! Alex is a top bloke who is very eager to help and has plenty of time for everyone. Well done guys. Keep the good work up!!!!

Bought a aqua one tank six months ago the power adaptor failed on the light system went in to buy a replacement even though might have been under warranty but was told not available have to buy another light and retro fit piss poor service not carrying spare parts and not really caring attitude I suggested myself that I would try jcar and guess what in an out with the right power supply last time I’ll buy from marine plus sorry

Absolutely wonderful service , great prices and very healthy fish , excellent knowledge and happy too take the time to explain things if you are having troubles , I was having problems with high nitrite and with the information they provided my nitrite reading after following their advice declined after 3 days to a perfect reading of zero , thank you so much for all of your help , this is my go to fish shop , highly recommend

HAD been a customer for years, but literally seen this place dissolve over time into mismanagement and poor staff attitude. Just looks like it has become a priority to make money with customer satisfaction coming second. Once upon a time I would drive 40 minutes to get what I need from you, but in recent times; if it should be in stock, you don't have it! Not worth the drive anymore.

The venue may be a warehouse setting, but by no way do you get warehouse service. Brilliant customer service not only at the point of sale, but ongoing to help you establish this tricky by wholesome hobby. Luke and Troy are the gurus who offer personal service. Not to mention they back what they sell not like 'Pet' shops that you should avoid. In South Australia they are at the top.

Bought 2 Oscars. ($35 each) 1 died within 12hrs of bringing it home the other one layed on the bottom of the tank for a week and somehow come back too life. Water was checked by the shop before we bought them. We rang and told them what happened said they would call back and organise a refund and they never rang back that was 10 months ago. 3 star because I love my surviving Oscar

Most amazing customer service I have experienced in a long time. The time they took to explain it all to a man that’s new to aquariums. Will definitely come back to get whatever bits and pieces needed. 5 stars is not enough! Didn’t try and sell me things I didn’t need, was happy to show me the ropes with stuff that I had bought 2nd hand.

Friendly staff, offered me assistance but also let me wonder for 2hrs while I decided if I wanted to set up a little tank or not. Because of the freedom & none pressure I decided to go for it. They then helped me pick the best fish for what I wanted & when 1 passed away within the day they replaced him for me :) Love this place

This place is one of the best fish shops in Adelaide and definitely the best place down south. The staff are knowledgeable and super helpful, tanks are clean and the fish and plants are all healthy. I have been buying fish from here for years and have not lost any of them, can't say the same for some other places down south.

As I am fish. It was nice to be shipped to a tank that was well maintained, I was fed regularly. My stay in their tank was cut short as I was picked up pretty quickly by a Japanese couple. They're sweet. They looked at me and smiled just before and said they were gonna have sushi for dinner what ever that is, sounds tasty

Good knowledgeable staff, huge range, healthy looking live stock, all round a pretty good store. Spent over 2 hours there and still didn't see everything they have on offer, only downfall would be that they are on the higher end of the average pricing and actually the opposite side of Adelaide to me! But worth the trip!

A great place to go if you need anything for Tropical or marine aquariums. Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. They also have a great range of tanks, tank stands/hoods. I set up a 290 lt peacock cichlid tank from scratch, including the fish, tank, light, filter etc without having to leave the shop.

Definitely recommended over and over and over! Great place with soo much experience that has truly helped me establish my aquarium the best way possible.. Beats any place in South Australia. Always rude! Never want to help or give advice to people just starting out. There is a guy named Alex who will try and sell you anything just to make a sale. Store looks beautiful and stock looks good but the overall customer experience is EXTREMELY POOR! If I could give zero stars, I would!

We don't really have an aquarium at home, we were just driving by and decided to peep in for the kids and it was totally worth it.... its huge and has a great variety of fish and aquarium accessories.... Take the kids just for a look or go buy, either ways you will love it I am sure!!

They have an amazing selection of marine and freshwater plants and fish, not to mention other water creatures... And with COVID-19 restrictions and concerns being so in focus, there is a lot of room to move around and hand sanitizer available too.
