"I'm so disappointed in this store"
"Worst customer service at a Macys location I've see "
"Well this was a very sad experience"
"This was a very nice Macys"
I went to browse and ended up buying a summer dress last night around 830pm. I was trying to find the nearest cash register and the employee named Patty was near and I asked where I could pay. She directed me to the register that she was attending. When she rung me up, I put my card with the chip and it declined. I could tell she was very anxious and not patient. She was also speaking to me in an abrasive tone. She might as well have been yelling at me. It was inappropriate. I tried my card again and it declined. My boyfriend used his card to pay for my dress, which was no big deal and this was clearly a debit card issue. Patty was alluding that it was my fault and I had told her there were plenty of funds on my card since I had used my car earlier at other locations. Finally, when she handed over the receipt, I asked her for change for $1 and when she did that, she slammed the cash register drawer. She was not professional and I did not appreciate the manner in which she was treating me during the transaction. It's almost as if she expected me to know how to use the credit card machine since I was trying to run it as credit. Overall, not good customer service period.
I'm so disappointed in this store. NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER SHOP AT THE RIVERCENTER MALL MACY'S. I was looking forward to purchasing a black leather jacket on sale for only $23 and because I am a black woman they accused me of stealing. I was going to another register to pay for the jacket, due to the high volume in the store (AKA)Christmas season. They followed me, to make sure I was going to the register. I turned around and looked at the gentleman, ( sales rep) and I was so disappointed. I threw down the jacket and walked out with my daughter. #lifelessons for my 13yr old daughter about being BLACK IN AMERICA.
Worst customer service at a Macys location I've see . Had to return a suit from an online order and went into the store to try and gather options before just returning the whole thing. Would've still spent the gift money here as I wanted a new suit. The cashier was busy ringing something up and when I approached him, he gave me no other options.....just had to return the suit and get it credited to my card. While I understand this is what needs to be done, he wasn't her customer friendly and I don't believe that should be the only option when I tell someone I just need the pants in a 42.
Well this was a very sad experience. One the place needs to be cleaned. Like yall are months passed due on that. The floors and walls from the moment you walk in are disgusting. Smells like the carpets have been soaked and no one bothered to clean them. Went to the restroom and walked right out. Dust for days and let's just say McDonald's is cleaner than this. This was my first time walking into a Macys and my last. The impression was horrible. Clothes and shoes were thrown everywhere. I hate to give one stars but that's truly what it was.
This was a very nice Macys. I wandered in here, expecting to look around and see the same old things. I was surprised at how nicely they had their products organized. And the staff was friendly, especially when I needed directions on how to find a specific area. The only thing I was a little disappointed in, was the bathroom facilities. The ladies room was not in the best shape. But other than that, this was a typical Macys, which to me means it is well-lit, and everything was nicely laid out.
We had to Return an online order, so we went to the nearest register in the intimates section where the associate Patty was standing. We asked her was she open she said yes, we pull out the return , and she then said the register was close and she then point to the macys Inc section,to do the Return. After we went to the INC, We noticed Patty ringing up a Customer less than 5mins after we interacted with her. Sad Customer Service is declining at Macys.
I love that they added a register for returns and merchandise pick-up. Somebody seems to be there when I needed them. Now if I can find someone on the floor to help me, my shopping experience would be complete. I usually can find what I like in the store but not the size I need so I have to order it online, that way too I can see what it looks like on the model in the picture, hate trying stuff on in the dressing rooms.
Very helpful staff in the mens dept. You dont realize how important the "checkout" process is to both the customer and the sales associate when purchasing merchandise. The type of interaction with the shopper and sales associate really sets the foundation on how the customer will "perceive" the store from then on. Thank you for reminding me what shopou g is supposed to feel like
We had to go to the rivercenter location to remove a security tag left on my daughter in law's dress left on by the North star location...this occured literally 15 minutes before the event. The staff was all courteous and very helpful. Staff did everything possible to accomodate us. So very grateful for the assistance. My son and daughter in laws night went great after that!!!
Very very helpful staff. I went into the store looking for a minibackpack/purse-backpack, and managed to snag the last Guess one. However, my card was declined due to me having traveled there from another state, and the lady helping me at the time was very patient with me as I called my bank and had to wait around 15 minutes for my bank to fix the problem.
I'm not a big Macy's fan, because you have to work too hard to find something to wear. No offense, just too conservative and plain. By the time I find something I like, I'm so frustrated, I need to go to bed. For me, it's a place to buy home goods, not clothes. They have a nice selection of items for the home, and you can find some good deals too.
I like Macy's but for some reason it just did not feel like a Macy's. More like a discount house. Perfume counters had no one attending them, the sample perfumes/colognes were all put up behind counters. Sale items definitely need to be labeled better, a bit confusing. Did find some good deals and the sales person we did find helped out a lot!
The store is ok. The staff dress code is really going downhill. The last time i was there the staff was all in leggings and t-shirts. They looked like a bad neighborhood 99 cent only store doing inventory after a black friday sale. I started shopping at Macy's as it was a bit classier then Walmart. I am now rethinking that.
This is a Mac'ys on the riverwalk. I find it fun to walk around department stores and see everything they are selling. sometimes you can find great deals on random items you never realized you needed. Macy's is always a good place because they have a large selection of products and some random items throughout the stores.
Bring your Plenti Rewards card and rack up the points. It seems this location always has a wicked deal going on. The kids section has the cutest workout clothing. There are running pants and exercise bras for all ages. When you make a purchase, you usually get a coupon to use for future purchases. Check it out!
This location is convenient and spacious. However it is very dated and resembles a store from the late 90's compared to other Macy's I've been to. The sections are easy to find and there's room to maneuver when browsing. Overall it's a nice store but, it would be nice if they updated the look.
I have a good friend who works here he's a he's a great guy I would recommend you go in there and talk to him his name is Ryan. The place is nice clean courteous very accessible they have everything a person would need and it's not as badly priced as you would think love this place.
Came in for a suit for a navy ball and had no clue what I was doing I believe her name is Rhonda in the men’s suit department helped me with everything was very happy with my purchase and her patience and customer service makes me want to come back thnk you again
Of all the Macy's in San Antonio the one at Rivercenter Mall has the most friendliest employee's!! As soon as you walk in you are greeted and helped if needed! The store is also one of the cleanest of all the stores. I give Macy's at Rivercenter Mall 5 stars!!
I love Macy’s but this one at river center isn’t very attractive. They have good sales and the staff are friendly, but the place allows the homeless to sleep in the restroom and the fitting rooms aren’t very well kept. I hope they resolve this issues.
fantastic selection of clothes on multiple levels. However both escalators are out forcing everyone to walk on the one that was not blocked. People going up had to wait for people going down. Challenging situation that hopefully will be fixed soon
Convenient location for Marriott Riverwalk Hotel guests as Macy's is located in Rivercenter across the street from the hotel. Good sales and friendly service the mid-morning after Christmas. Not many shoppers while we were there, which was nice.
Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable of their men's wear items. She helped us work our way through a nice collection of coats and gloves for my friend's trip. I wish I had gotten her name to mention to the manager.
The staff was insuficient and works were in course. Sorry, I think is unacceptable that the clients must breathe dust and walk in working areas. I reffer only to my experience in Macy's San Antonio River Center
Worst Macy's I ever saw in my life. Terrible selection. Staff only at cash register. The fitting room was piled high with discarded clothing and the floor was very dirty. This place gives Macy's a bad name.
We were unexpectedly caught in a very cold, rainy day while on vacation across the country! So we ran in and bought jean's & sweaters & coats & raincoats: all on sale! I love Macy's. Saved our vac.
One of the smaller Macy stores, they have a decent variety of merchandise, the employees were friendly, but the store needed a good cleaning, and the women's restroom was disgusting and very dirty.
Always a reliable store. They still have someone to help you find what you need which is good. Sizes need help though. Whoever does the ordering needs to learn what a human size is.
Unfortunately going out of business. Due to Covid, fitting rooms were closed, making it very difficult to purchase clothing. Did not end up purchasing anything here, unfortunately.
Beautiful Macy's store sits on the Riverwalk downtown San Antonio great place to take photos out by the Riverwalk going to Macy's do some shopping spend the entire day.
It's a clean environment store and they have a lot of awesome sales everyday beautiful merchandise they can't go wrong with Macy's I love it love it love it love it!..
I encountered excellent customer service from the Juicy Couture and Coach counter and was supremely impressed with the level of service excellence given to me today
Macy's always has everything I want. It's a very dangerous place for me because I could spend a lot of money there. And I always feel like I'm getting a great deal
8:30 pm Christmas eve was quiet, but our sales rep helped us find a Christmas gift in the men's wear dept...offered to gift wrap...that's called customer service
The Bathroom (women's) is Atrocious! Broken faucets and hand dryer. Dirty stalls. I was sadly disappointed in its state of disrepair. Hope they improve it.
I was so happy to be back in this Macy’s! It’s similar to the one we had in Phoenix and we loved it… Everything is easy to fine and the prices are amazing
Mostly convenient tourist shopping, not for locals to shop. It's congested area downtown with limited parking unless you pay $20+ for garage parking.
Much like other Macy's across the country this department store is stocked with fashion, cosmetic and household products that you would expect.
This is my go to spot for purses for sure! I also get my beauty products occasionally and perfume deals here. Shoe selection on point ladies!
This is a Macy's inside RiverCenter mall. The mall is nice, Fogo de chow, the steak house is close by, so is the theater. So, it all works.
This place in San Antonio TX is highway robbery going out of business talking about 40% off so not true please quit lying to the consumer
major bargains and I truly appreciated the attentive staff. But we did not get any assistance when needed most to move items to vehicle.
Great service in store and at the front desk. Was surprised to see such a small clothes selection. Cashier did a great job with help
The employees here are very nice and sweet and helpful. Thank you Lupe for helping me get a discount by applying for a Macy's card.
A very nice Macy's that has a wide selection in all departments, the associates a very friendly, and the store layout is very nice.
Lots of merchandise. Current prices are not always correctly marked. No place to check prices--have to wait in line at a register.
The Pearlridge Macy's is right in the center of the island, kind of hard to get to, but way more selection than the Kapolei store.
The store was very neat and the staff was very helpful. The mens restroom is in the children's section which is somewhat strange.
I love Macy's even though some things are overpriced but I still enjoy going there and buying a little something here and there.
The employees are very respectful, nice and they don't judge because what you look like the Facilities are very clean.
Never can find help, when you do it's not their department. Just left clothes on counter. Never shopping there again.
I got No 50% off. Got charged all at regular price. And the store is closing. Just got home and saw this. …
Starting to remind me a lot JC Penny's, nothing wrong with that but I use to think of it as being more upscale
It was good but The Mall Really Sucked had NO HAND SANITIZER...... maybe 1 out of 4 dispensers had Sanitizer
Never been before thought it was ok just like jcp or herbergers only father away and had higher priced stuff
Big roomy department store with good brands and ongoing promo. Check its website for promo and discounts!
Some parts of the store felt like a flea market but I did get good deals especially when using coupons.
Going out of business sale went in for a coat. And got a great deal. Sad to know they are closing.
This store is great I I used to work here , and it got way better after I left, huge improvements
Sales at Christmas... Always a good place to Shop... Last Year's clothing clearance sales...
Awesome customer service ..everyone there greets you with a smile and ready to help you out
Great store the deals weren't that great. The place is great for my girls so I'm happy.
The River Center store is MUCH improved! Sadly, I didn't find what I was looking for :(
Decent shoe sale...but nothing extraordinary stood out. No super great experience...
Not many clothes for plus size women. Also, can never find a bra that's my bra size.
Awesome. Iconic Macy's of San Antonio on the river representing a New York landmark.
My son wanted cologne. We are starting vacation and I was too tired to look around.
I found whatever I want and the prices was ok, but was hard to find someone to help
They treat me like I'm gonna steal when I walk threw with my drinks from the store
I have an appointment set up with Mac on Monday..Thank you for being so flexible..
Nice place got a coat and some shirts here and has friendly staff will recommend!
Tiniest Macy's ever. Limited selection and very few of the higher quality brands.
Great customer service. I like the perfume samples that were added into the bag!
Good shopping store for clothing, always clean and sales staff normally helpful.
Small inventory of merchandise. Tidy and clean. Not many employees. Disappointed
Nice and clean, and organized. Bathrooms very clean and associates very helpful.
They close at 8 but start closing up everything earlier. Had doors closed at 730
Limited choices of designer perfumes. Place has free wifi with good connection
Like I said that the staff was very nice to me even though they know that I've
Didn't see the price difference between the red and blue blazer both on sale.
It was fine workers very helpful considering they're losing their jobs …
Staff and sales were more than great!!! I found more and I was looking for!!
Nobody asked me if I needed any help, maybe I wasnt dressed right. ♂️ …
Going out of business hurry magnificent prices and deals. Ends this weekend
Waited there, wanting to buy a watch nobody came, went to Spencer's instead
My daughter couldnt find anything she liked in her size.. didnt stay long.
May's downtown needs more employees to help out. Restroom needed cleaning.
Macys San Antonio Riverwalk may be the least stocked Macy's I've been in..
Always dependable and great discount prices if you bring in your coupons!
One of the nicest macys ive been to in awhile brings me back to old times
Not a great selection of women's coats when I was there back in November.
Staff somewhat helpful. Can't blame them, place is huge, so that's good.
My visit was relaxing. The store customer service was polite and timely.
I got a $10 gift card for FREE on Black Friday! They do that EVERY YEAR!
Stylish clothes and large variety for men, women, and kids in all sizes
Big. Nice. Didn't have some brands I was looking for. But nice place.
This Macy's is pretty run down. Like a ghost of former retail glory.
Went to Macy's Rivercenter. Caught an awesome sale, great employees.
It was alright. They had closing sales, but they weren't very good!
One sales person per floor? No wonder Macy's going out of business.
