An Enchanting Evening at Lyrebird Restaurant, Southbank Brisbane. Pre-show dinner at QPAC My evening began with a glass of Pewsey Vale 2022 Riesling from Eden Valley, SA. This refreshing and aromatic wine offered the perfect prelude to the culinary journey that lay ahead. The first course was a delectable focaccia, generously drizzled with Italian olive oil. The bread boasted a light texture, a delicate flaky crust, and was beautifully punctuated with herbs and baked garlic pieces. The result was nothing short of perfection, each bite melting in the mouth, leaving a trail of rich flavours. Accompanying the focaccia was a truffled mushroom dip. This wasn't just any dip - it had a lovely silky texture, with an excellent balance of flavours. The truffle and mushroom were harmonious, neither overpowering the other, creating a subtle, earthy delight for the taste buds. The main course was a Black Angus Scotch fillet, served with grilled asparagus, watercress, lemon, and a red wine jus. Although the fillet was quite thin at approximately 7mm, it was tender and pleasingly flavoured, demonstrating the remarkable quality of the meat. The asparagus, grilled to perfection, added a charming char flavour that complemented the robust nature of the fillet beautifully. My server for the evening, Ceri, was excellent. Her professionalism and attentive manner were exceptional, making the evening not just about the food but about the overall service experience. Her delightful demeanor and in-depth knowledge of the menu added a personal touch that truly elevates Lyrebird to a league of its own. In conclusion, Lyrebird offers a dining experience that goes beyond the plate. a testament to the power of exceptional service. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or a casual diner, Lyrebird offers a pleasant experience.

Disappointing Food was ordinary with extra-ordinary prices. Unfortunately I did not enjoy the food at this restaurant apart from the oysters & the Barramundi. The food had a particular taste that was not to my liking it tasted unusual. I also had a taste of a dessert which I found to be unappetizing I asked if I could exchange it for something else & was told NO.. so I paid for a second dessert...poor customer service. Do yourself & your pocket book a favour & eat at the QPAC Cafe or one of the many other nearby restaurants.

Extremely disappointed about our allergy experience. I noted on our booking a few months in advance that my partner has a tree nut allergy. For the high tea, they brought him the same vegetable croquette for every item he couldn't have. Desserts? Veggie croquettes. Savories? Veggie croquettes. And it was all identical croquettes. We gave months of advance warning and that's the best they could do? He has never been so poorly treated at a high tea before (we go to them often). 0/10, will not be back. Literally half his meal was vegetable croquettes.

We booked for 5 o'clock so we could relax before the show. We were seated and had water served to all 6 of us but we had to ask a waiter to serve us. We finally got our meals but we only had 10 minutes to eat it. Some at the table were having dessert so once again we had to ask them to hurry up. The food was amazing and worth the wait but when it's a pre show dinner I would have liked to be able to stroll into the theatre not rush for programs and seat's. Would go again food was delicious.

Ox tails pasta was fine, however the pasta is not very good quality. Tiger prawn pasta with crushed calamari sauce, to be honest, not so impressed, one prawn only. Olive with rice crackers is good , serve in warm , good idea and bring out the favor in cold weather Service is good, friendly waitress and good response. Actually this is one of the choice before you off to the show at QPAC

Came here for dinner before a 730pm show. Arrived at 545pm and placed our order before 6pm. Drinks and entrees arrived very quickly, but we waited 40 mins for the mains. As many others have mentioned, we were told there wasn’t enough time for dessert (though we weren’t planning to any) and was given the bill without asking. Food was actually delicious but let down by the service.

Arrived at 5:30 pm for 7:30pm show. Wait staff were wonderfuk and confirmed that we had a show booking. Entree was tuna that was melt in the mouth perfect and a wonderful mushroom truffle dip with bread. The main was duck that was cooked to perfection. We finished up by 7 and went up stairs. Perfect start to the evening.

I think this is worthy of five stars. We came for dinner prior to a show so it was a pre-booked sitting. But honestly the staff were lovely, the food was excellent and we were served efficiently so that we were ready in time for our show. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely come again.
A clean upmarket restaurant, with good service from friendly staff, there is a good selection of dishes from entrees to main courses and desserts. There is also a good selection of wines to enjoy with your meal. Have dined here several times over the past 12 months and will do so again in the future More
The staff were professional, kind, and made sure we received our meals in a timely manner before our show. Food was lovely and the decor and atmosphere was really nice.

Amazing food, but the service was non-existent. We were offered water at the start and nothing afterwards. They very clearly wanted us to leave at 7:15pm as 2 of our plates were taken away from us whilst our friend was still eating. No dessert offered either. More
For a 4* restaurant the plain tables resembled a bistro. The oysters were not very fresh and the vinegarette was overpowered by onion. The main was so salty we couldn't taste the oxtail and sent half of it back, even the chips were so salty
We pre-booked dinner as we had tickets to a show at QPAC like many other people do. The staff were great, and confirmed our QPAC tickets from the start to ensure our 3-course meal would be completed in time. The wait time for each course
Booking was 6:30 pm and we arrived at 6:15 pm. Our performance started at 7:30 pm. I asked for the two course set menu and we told there wasn’t time, so I ordered the lamb which was very small and had a lot of fat. It came with a carrot,
Very positive surprise. After checking the rather average reviews we were reluctant to have our dinner here but the experience was superb in every way. Fast, efficient, attentive service, a nice romantic location and food that was just
The menu is innovative! Such a delight to be presented with a good variety of choices. I have eaten here twice and both times my dish was cooked to perfection, the presentation was lovely, the service excellent, the waiting time
The food is always nice, you order and pay inside and get a table number. Get there early as it can get very busy. Typically a meal costs around $22 for crumbed fish and chips. Menu has gluten free options.
What a beautiful experience! My parents and I dined before a show and from the moment we stepped in the door we were blown away by the impeccable service, amazing food and lovely ambience-
Yes I have a question. Where on the website does it say the Kitchen Closes at 7.10pm? As we live in the area, we’ve decided to try all upmarket restaurants for an
