I recently moved to the area and I needed washing doing desperately and decided to try this local launderette around the corner. My initial thoughts as I walked in was it is tiny, and, it is, but, once you get over the first walk in to a new place, it's very friendly, well set out and plenty of machines and clearly popular. The lady running it that day was busy but helpful and the machine I used large enough to take a decent wash load. It took roughly 20 minutes to wash and then around 15-20 minutes to dry. I had change with me but there's a machine for notes if you need change. There's powder you can buy but I brought my own. Had a nice chat to the lady and a customer, just current affairs etc and all in all, an experience I was dreading was actually a pleasant hour passed and new people met near my new home. Very much recommended.

Arrived at 5:30 to do a wash and dry. Was told to hurry up and do a wash as the lady wanted to leave soon. I asked her what time she shut she told me she was leaving at 6:40 so again I should hurry up and make my choice. Didn’t bother in the end as I felt like I was an inconvenience and a nuisance. All I had asked was do I have time to wash and dry and was snapped at. When you’re tired and have limited access to washing machines (ie travelling or living in a hostel) this is really frustrating. Also this was my second time coming to this place in two days. The previous night I was too late and understandably so as I arrived closer to 6pm but when I asked what time do you open in the morning I was told around 10am. Would be nice to be given something a bit more definite so to be able to organise my hours around the laundromats hours.

It is very convenient, however, the customer service is poor. Today, I went to do my laundry not realising that I had just missed the last wash. The elderly lady (who works there) happened to be there. She was very rude and impatient and told me to ‘hurry up’ as she wants to go home (this is not the first time that she has responded in this manner). Perhaps, the times for the last wash/dry should be made clearer as it is an inconvenience for customers and for the business as could be deemed as unreliable. I understand that she wants to go home on time but she should still be polite to and value customers (whom bring business to the laundromat). Poor customer service is off putting - it is not only bad for the customers but it is also not good for business...

Clean, well kept, two sizes of washing machines, spin machine and large dryers. The attendant was very polite and helped us navigate the spin machine (it was new to us). There was a change machine, laundry detergent and baskets for use there. It took a little over an hour for us to complete one full load of laundry (30 in the large washing machine, the spin machine, and 30 in the dryer). There were benches in front of the machines that we sat out while we waited and plenty of room on top of the machines for our backpacks. We paid 8 for the large washer, 50p for the spin machine and 3 for the dryer. They also allow you to drop off and use their full service for an additional fee.

Our washing machine broke down, this was closest to us. Parking available on the parade (Mon-Sat 8am-6:30pm first 20 min free, 10p every 20min upto 2 hrs) The launderette has washing machines and dryers. I used a washing machine for £5(£1x5) programme 2 (warm with prewash) which surprisingly took all my washing. There are upto 6 programmes available. Dryers are quite disappointing, 20p for 3 mins and I came across a few dryers which were not heating up properly. The place is not manned so if you have any problems your basically screwed. Hope this helps

I am writing another review to replace one that was erroneous Sorry to the owners, thanks for checking whether it was for the correct establishment as it wasn't, I got confused! Highly recommended launderette in Southwark, not far from Borough station, good opening hours, affordable prices, quiet in the morning on weekdays & lovely lady happy to help first timers. Handy machine to change your banknotes if you don't have coins (I don't think they accept card payments, so bring cash). Thank you & my apologies once more!!!

Good launderette. Clean and efficient which is important for a launderette. Located near Bermondsey Square so very convenient if you need to do your laundry while staying London. There is a good fish and chips plac next door if you are hungry. They offer service washes which includes washing, drying and clothes folded together with detergent. Cost is GBP10 for a laundry bag full load. Takes about 2 hours and option to collect at convenient time up to 7 pm when it closes. Used the service washes twice and have no complains.

Arrive about 15 min before by 8:07 was in the Launderette and started. The lovely lady who opened the launderette was about her business but nice. One of our washers decided it wasn’t for it today and she was quick on her feet to payback for the wash when our first load was done and even provided the soap as well. There are 6 typical load washers for £5, larger for £7, soap is £1, and the dryer is 50p a spin. There is a spinner to use before the dryer it’s 50p as well. In and out, and happy to have clean clothes.

Great launderette. Had a tonne of ordinary laundry and towels to wash, decided to try Laundrapp and they didn't even turn up! Popped round the corner to this place and all four bags were done in under two hours (rather than the 48hrs on Laundrapp!). Lady in the shop was v helpful and friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking for a very good, no frills service wash in the Borough area.

Paid for a 2 full service washes - colors and whites. Was told it would be ready in 1 hour and 10 mins. Came back in 2 hours and it wan not ready. The girl working there removed my clothes from the washer, where she had mixed the whites and colored clothes. Said she could not help that it took longer and that she had not mixed the clothes. Terrible and dishonest service.

When my washing machine broke this place rescued me. They do a service wash or self service. Machines are quick and it costs £4 for a wash and about £2 to dry the wash. Parking outside is limited to 30 minutes which is just long enough to wash (buy not dry), however if you have a Zone D residents parking permit you can park for as long as you like just around the corner.

Website says it closes at 7pm. Went 5.50pm and the women (whom did not seem very interested on working) said it was too late for washing and suggested I should leave because it was too late and the water supply was already cut off. This should be advertised, I walked almost 20min to get there... Just awful.

Great little laundrette with a superb attendant! I was having a bit of trouble figuring out how everything worked, and the spinner machine threw me for a loop. The attendant showed me how to use it, and was quick to help me out! £5 to wash, £1 for soap, .50p to spin it dryer, £2 to dry. Easy! Thanks!!

Clean, open even on Sunday. You can buy washing powder for 1 pound inside at the machine. No stain remover or conditioner or other detergents or products. 4 pound for a wash of 16 minutes about, rinse included. Water temperature selection. Dryer 50p 10 minutes about. Staff really kind and helpful.

Detergent 1£ Washing 4£ (20min) Dehydration 0.5£ (4min) Dryer 1 - 2£ (10min - +10min) Total 6.5 - 7.5£ also you can use a service that you can leave laundry and pick it up later costs 10-13£. There’s a exchange machine so don’t need coins just bring a bill but not credit card. She is very kind.

The owner is super helpful. Though it is a self-serviced laundry, my son and I didn't need to worry about not knowing how as the owner is very much willing to provide support. My son will definitely come back to use the service again and highly recommend this washing Centre to anyone! …

  • Van Yeung

Easy to get to, Loads of machines to use. They have Laundry detergent for 1 pound and its 4 pounds to operate the Washing machine (16 minutes including rinse). 1 pound for 10 minutes in the Dryer. Perfect for Travellers passing through London.

  • NY99 CLOUD

Used wash & fold service and it was absolutely horrible. They did not fold any of the clothes. They threw the clothes in the plastic bags. Some of the white shirts were damaged as they were washed with other colors. Do not use this facility.

As I work in the landscaping profession - I require my weekly clothing to have a commercial wash and dry. The ladies are incredibly helpful - the prices wonderful and it sets me up for the week knowing I’ve used proper washing machines etc.

  • Welcome to

Fantastic local launderette. Was staying at the Hilton hotel which is a 15 walk away. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The launderette has everything you need for washing your clothes. There is washing soap, change/coin machine. 6

  • Karyn Clarke

Beware - advertised as closing at 7pm, we arrived at 5.45pm and were not allowed to even use the washer only, despite it only being a 30min cycle. Also £2 per load more expensive than the launderette 200mtr up the road. Wont be back.

  • Tilly D. F

They have a coin machine that makes it easier for customers to get coins for the washing machine, the floor is constantly cleaned with hot water and the staff are always at hand to help when stucked. The spinner and dryer are amazing

  • oscarilly Diaz Rodriguez

The tall lady is very nice and good people, but the little one is very rude, she always speaks badly to the clients and says that she always closes early to leave early and doesn't let the clients finish drying their clothes.

  • Shaun Allen

Walked 2 mile to get here at 530pm and the old woman rudely tells me that the last wash is at 5:15 then points out a small hand written note on the front window. Disgraceful. Place was filthy. Would recommend for anything

  • Daniel Harwood

I have used many Launderettes over the years and this is by far my favorite. Bernie the lady I generally see there on a Sunday is wonderful. Makes the experience enjoyable and a pleasure as a opposed to a chore.

  • Geoneet Garcia (Beauty)

It was a great to be able to do laundry! The attendant was exceptionally nice and very welcoming! Will visit her again when I’m in London just because she was excellent with the service she provided!

  • Fari Wesen

After seeing the crazy prices of hotel laundry i went to this place and got the laundry done in an hour for a fraction of the price. Thank you so much to the nice person of the staff that helped me!

  • ApeX

I arrived at 5:10pm on a Saturday and was told the last wash had passed, only to come back the following day. They close at 7:00pm on Saturdays! It takes 15min to wash and 30min to dry. Ridiculous.

  • Janes Twocents

Friendly staff, convenient to self serve (change machine and soap) Both wash and dry. You can drop and have it done, but we are accustomed to self serve coin op, so felt right at home.

  • Alia Pathan

Good if you're doing your own wash - they have damaged/lost too many of my clothes in their spinner in service wash and don't take responsibility so not worth payin for that sadly :-(

  • Elna Reggie

As a tourist was grateful to find them in the area, the staff member took us right away and washed two bags worth of laundry at a reasonable price in two hours. Thank you!

  • Tom Minney

Used this for first time today to wash a duvet. Clean, plenty of spare machines in good working order and friendly staff. Happy to recommend it, very pleased with result.

  • Saneli Carbajal Vigo

The Lady was very nice and helpful, I would definitely recommend this place! Prices: £4 self wash (+£1 for detergent if you didn't bring any) and 1£ for a 10min dry.

  • Rachael B

With our machine broken it was very handy to have nearby. Rates: £6 for a large washing machine £4 for a standard size Dryer £1 for 10 mins of drying. Helpful staff

  • Michael Cupak

Very helpful folks. We were traveling and needed laundry done quickly. They were able to accommodate us and folded our laundry and packed it back in our suitcase.

  • Jessica Doehle

Fine launderette, but last time I went the employee closed early without any warning. Just started pulling the gate down. I went home with a soggy duvet.

  • Dan Loven

On vacation and needed to wash clothes. Just wanted a selfserve laundromat. The person working there was a great help. Ended up saving time and money.

What a place. If you are visiting London and staying nearby, drop a big bag of laundry and pick it up in 2 hours for 14£. Highly recommended.
