I went to this place as it had a 4.3 rating here. I was not satisfied with the service. To begin with, the price I was charged was higher that the one announced on the website. There was no manager to take responsibility for that or explain why. Then I made the mistake of paying beforehand. After I was told that the car has been washed I started checking the work done. There was dirt and stones on the floor in front of each seat, front and back. I had to call the employee operating the vacuum to come back three times as he would come, clean in front of one seat and leave. I asked that the dirt spots on the plastic ledges under the doors were cleaned from dirt stains and was told that what I was given was good enough. I was also told that that was what I would get for what I paid and if I paid for shampooing they would do more. Then I was rushed out with the argument that there were other vehicles waiting in line. I have uploaded pictures of all of the dirt and dirt stains left on the car. The trunk was also not vacuumed well, as I found out when I was already out of the building and in the yard in front, so I had to call one of the employees to do that which he did reluctantly and begrudgingly. When I asked for the phone number of the owner I was not given that but some customer service number where I only got an answering machine (it was Sunday, so that maybe was not that strange, but they do claim to be open 7 days a week). In conclusion, there were dirt stains on the body of the car, marks on the windows, the vacuuming was superficial to say the least, the attitude was not customer friendly and there was no one to take responsibility and address and resolve the issues. Probably I would have done a better job washing the car myself.

UPDATE 13th April 2022 As promised, the good people at 88 Car Wash made it up to me and compensated for the service given the first time around. Staff was still as friendly as the first time and did a really great job in detailing my car in record time when I brought it back. I understand that we are all human and mistakes will happen. It is how we handle them in the end that shows good character. The people at Lave Auto 88 Car Wash indeed, showed good character. I will definitely go back as this mistake was handled well and with grace. I recommend this place as I believe they are trying (and will try) their best to make you satisfied with their services. There were major areas missed inside my car. Splash (mud) marks from the cleaners all over my gear space and front doors. Controls were not dusted at all. Massive streaks all over the windows. I tried to windex the greasy steaks off when I got home (first time that I have had to clean my car after paying a “professional” to clean it) but had to do it 3x to get the grease off. They were obviously using dirty and oily rags to clean. I had such high hopes for this place but was sorely disappointed. Staff were nice but I was paying for a clean car. The woman behind me remarked that no one seemed to know what they were doing and that this place had really gone downhill. She had been there before. Do not recommend!

I actually started using this car wash maybe 2 years ago due to the high reviews (4.6 at that time) but it has been all but downhill for them since and I can see why...was going to leave a review at my last visit because I waited 90 minutes for my car with not really a lineup, just no manager and the employees talking and being on the phones and doing a very avg cleanings for a very high new price...but today they really made me leave a review. Took the most expensive option and was really surprised when paying that they charged me $4 extra for "dog hair" without even trying to tell me. First of all I always had dogs and the dog stays in a "dog hammock" on the back seat which absorbs almost all the hair and which I clean. In the past 25 years I never had once a car wash try to charge me for such a thing, including this car wash. And there was no excess dog hair compared with any previous visits...what changed was is their new high prices and less tips due to it and this is a simple money grab….this car wash deserves a big zero for their dishonesty, avg cleaning, high prices and customer service. And let’s not forget their techniques with change if you pay with cash they always try to force you for tips…

I’m giving them four stars for the person who was behind the counter . so while my car was being washed I asked the guy behind the counter about the services that they offer on the board and his answer was why you care about the services ??!! In a way he says Why u ask about things only males do !!!!. I responded I need to know what you offer in case if I need something for my car which I did spend $60 extra after he explained his services in annoyed attitude. And i will be back for salt removal. And yes ,u should never be annoyed when someone ask you to explain ur services not everybody knows whats the bird poop stained called. And if u didn’t explain it i wont buy it. Overall, they didn’t a great job cleaning my car comparing to other car wash I’ve been to. I will definitely come back for car wash . When you come in they add extra charges for the car being dirty outside lol - 40 dollars in total. To respond to your response - after I stayed in line for about 20 min and finally reached the interior, your employee told me that my wash will be extra 10 dollars because the car is extra dirty on the outside and certainly not for for any of the services you mentioned in your response (its a sedan and I use it in the city only - yeah it gets dirty in winter quickly). The total ended up at 34 dollars which is definitely over the average price. Yes, I was angry because I couldnt argue too much after waiting for it and also didnt want your employees to do a bad job. Looking forward for a free wash though. How can I contact you?

My last visit wasn't satisfying. They used dirty clothes to wipe out the water. So, when I got out from the place, on the way home I saw many dirty spots on the glasses. I didn't feel to go back. I had to spend more than 10 minutes to clean those spots at home. Not happy this time. After this review, the owner offers me a free car wash. I want to thank him for his generosity. But I don't want any free services. The reason I wrote the review is to improve the quality of job. The workers should have better communication between them. The manager charged me 32$ (for inside outside and armors). But I had to ask the workers to do the armors. Without doing that they ask me to leave

The person who attended me initially was kind and I appreciate that very much. But the guy who washed my car partially put soap in the car and at the end I could see the dirt on the car, not everywhere but in high places. (Height is not an excuse) when the guy decided that the car was finished, he came out and lit a cigarette and I said: 'it seems that he is not finished' He just blew out the smoke and said: 'you know, nothing is perfect in this life ... it's very difficult' I went back to my house and I had to wash it quickly, it was supposed to go there to remove the wax left by the trees and my surprise is that my car still came out with the same wax. Very sad!

I’ve been washing my cars here for more than 2 years now, but recently I think the staff or the man in charge changed and they’re trying to scam people by charging them more. Inside, it shows 22$ for regular interior+exterior cleaning, but they claim it’s now 32$ and +2$ for each mat !!! I used to think I found where I will be washing my car forever, but now I’m not going back there anymore. Response : that is straight up lies and you respond this way to mislead viewers. I drive a 2022 mercedes amg and I’ve never needed any help to start it. You left a lot of scratches on my car’s paint because of your reckless job and I don’t recommend you to anyone!

UPDATE: I brought my car back and they did a fantastic job. I have a dog and we do a lot of camping, but they made the car look as close to new as possible. I appreciate that the owner really cares about the customer experience. It's truly cleaner on the outside and inside than I could have expected. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Overall, I was disappointed, but they also only charged $20, so I think there was a communication issue. I was hoping for full shampooing, cleaning all surfaces, etc. and I was pretty disappointed even for a $20 quick job. But the owner heard my complaint and was willing to spend the time and effort to remedy the job.

my husband brought our car there for basic interior and exterior car wash and cleaning that costs 22cad. before going there, I made sure I removed all the trash and large debris, and removed all things in the trunk inside our car that would obstruct their cleaning , even the car seat. I was actually quite satisfied with how they cleaned the car. it's not 100% spotless to be honest. I would rate it 80% clean because I still had to do some wiping and finishing touches, but it's good enough. at least they did vacuum fairly inside the car . overall , I am happy with the result and would go back again in the future. I returned today and I was pleased to see a couple of people washing and a young gentleman preparing the waiting cars with signs to indicate the level of cleaning they were interested in in order to stay organized. I saw an employee give unsolicited and helpful advise to another client about drying their car seats and the price was reasonable. Orignial***I sat in line for 45mins at 8:30 am on a Saturday to find one older man washing cars. I finally had to leave because there were still two cars ahead of me. They could be far more efficient with their clients time.

I had no idea I was only paying 19$ for both IN and OUT hand wash ! Wow ! I promise I will bring more tip next time ! It was fast and the guys worked hard so thank you for reminding me what my car actually looks like in our nasty Montreal winter ! I can’t believe some of the comments and pictures I’m seeing on this…You get what you pay for so obviously, if you’re only paying 19$ at a bumper-to-bumper car wash, they’re not gonna spend an hour on your car, deep cleaning every nasty spill. You should actually clean the mess yourself when it happens. Some people are just DIRTY people and their car will always be too!

Slight mishap with my car wash experience. The wash was great but by accident my dash cam was damaged. Peter not only installed the new one but gave me free car washes to compensate me for the situation. Honourable and honest businessman and he runs a terrific business. I recommend the car wash wholeheartedly and I also truly love to support local businesses. If the wait is a bit long it’s only because they are really busy which says to me that they do great work. I trusted the reviews and they're 5 minutes from my house,so I brought my car to be washed, It's a brand new car that I got 5 weeks ago, it was not a 10-year-old car with accumulated dust and dirt, just normal wear and tear for 5weeks to be washed! They did a terrible job according to the condition of the car, I wish I could get more pictures of the glasses, bud it couldn't show, some parts were full of soap...the interior as well I shared some pictures... for spending 25 minutes in the line just to get in it didn't worth it at all

Wonderful service. Best car wash so far. This was 3 months ago. Today ,Victoria Day weekend, I am so DISAPPOINTED at their services. I paid $37.00, an all dressed clean only for me to tell them on many occasions that the trunk was not cleaned, the back seat was not touched, the whole drivers side had not been wiped or vacuumed. VERY HESITANT to come back. Not sure because They were busy, but I should get refunded at least partially. I've been here since 2pm and it's now 5:06 and still not done.

Go here if you want to pay for your car to get dirty. This by far the worst car wash in the area! I would give it a -1000 stars if I can. Imagine getting back your car with mud scratches all over. I asked to get my rubber mats washed with soap because this is apparently something they don’t do. They still did not do it. As soon as the mats dried, it looks like it was never washed because they just spray water on it. Who washes without soap?!?!? This is modern day scamming! I paid $28 to get my car dirty.

They are very much professional. However, I still found a few times they did not clean the car properly. There was some dirty places at the lower part of the outside body. Sometimes the car was not dried properly. Last winter I had one instance when they used wax and they did not dried the car after wash and when I was outside after the wash I found wax was frozen on the car body. Apart from that they are very good at interior cleaning. They are more professional than other auto wash in Montreal.

Be carful, faites attention! ,they are not professionl at all .looks like they are giving you the price randomly, and there is a misleading 14$ price at entrance . when I asked the guy he says this is from.last year !! now its 28$ int and exterior . I said I did it for 19$ last month he said we can do it for 22$!! The cleaning was fair last time though ,not very good but correct . So I didnt like their practice and had to leave.

They do a good job, but check your car before driving away as I noticed afterwards they had missed many areas, especially around the windows and mirrors, the place can get busy at times , keep in mind you will have to wait a little, but they do move along quite fast . and like everything else the prices have gone up a little, but this is to be expected. The end result is you get a very clean car . I recommend this car wash

Don’t be fooled by the 4 stars. One of the worst service I ever get. Their cleaning was very poor. My back seat never was never vacuumed. All the inside edges remained with dust. They forgot their wet towel on my back seat !!!. And the worst part is their attitude that they have to work on and learn how to talk and respect people as we live in Canada NOT SOMEWHERE ELSE. Don’t wast your money and use it wisely.

They are not using a lot of car foam and maybe the quality of this foam is not the best and all over the car are stains and even places where the dirt and dust is not completely taken away. I don't like the location very much but there are not many options in the surroundings.The employées should be paid more maybe and that way they will be more involved.

Excellent service. I took my car to get it detailed inside & out and for a hand wax. Although it took a little longer than expected because of the dog hair, the car looks great. Very happy with the end result! And the price is very reasonable compared to other places that I looked into. The staff is courteous and conscientious. Highly recommend!

Waited 1 hour for a car wash. Outside of the car was washed fine. Inside of the car is still dirty. For the amount of time I waited, it was a real disappointment. I could have done a better job. There is dirt all in the cup holders. Back of the seats still had shoe marks and scuffs. The floor carpet still had dirt and crumbs. Staff are friendly

I went for a car wash there. First there is a lot of wait time which is okay, but then they don't clean inside properly. One needs to tell that this/that is not done. He called me second time for a free wash when I went there the Guy named Garan* started abusing me which is totally unacceptable. One of the bad car wash in the city. ☹️

Great high quality and efficient service, at a reasonable price, the guys washed and vacuumed the car thoroughly inside and outside. They took their time to make sure that everything was spotless and well worked the wax finish and tire application gave the car a very nice look. Very pleased with the service and results, thanks!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Typically this location is quite busy on the weekend, but the weather was turning bad so there was no wait. Cash preferred here. Inside cleaning was good, but I did have to touch up the front and rear windscreens (they are always awkward to get to). I recommend Auto 88 to family and friends

Fast, friendly and beautiful service! I have three kids and my jeep gets very dirty ( looks like squirrels lived in it after a long cold winter) and when I picked it up from Lave Auto 88 it looked and smelled brand new again! They worked twice as hard to get it ready for me before I flew out of country. Thank you!

Not crazy, the price is good but service is extremely slow. I understand they are thorough but damn, 45mins to clean the exterior without drying?!? Plus they leave you car to dry in the sun which leaves marks and makes your car look dirty right away. would not recommend unless you have couple hours to spare.

What happened to this place? Horrendous car wash! I used to pay $20 for an amazing cleaning and excellent service. The cost was $32 and my dashboard wasn't even cleaned pffff and I tipped ha! Never going back! I'll just buy soap from Canadian tire and clean my car in the parking lot. Cheaper and done right.

I find that the service at this location is sometimes really fast but can also sometimes be really slow.. i never know what to expect. Although they are very friendly, they always make sure to get the spots i specifically ask for such as the inside of the front windshield, the cup holders and the trunk

Exterior was fine, price was competitive but I was not happy with the interior. Carpets were still dirty, plastics were half done and windows were greasy to the point it was almost dangerous to drive at night. I spent 15 minutes at home, just to clean the windows. I'll try another location next time.

Superb work! I took the vehicle in the worst condition possible and the cleaned it so well and in details that it literally looked like new after. The hand-washed all parts of the car superbly. I've been to many other car wash locations but this one is a definitely recommended one. Thanks again!

Great location! The garage was super easy to find. You cannot miss the “88” even if you tried. The staff was super friendly and made me feel super confident leaving my car in their hands. Now my car looks brand new!!! So happy and will definitely be back. Keep up the fantastic work fellas.

arrived and was able to get a complete clean inside and out. Very efficient service, very fast, they had 3 guys cleaning my car, which got it done quite fast. A few spots were missing, but am satisfied nonetheless. Cost was $24, for inside and outside cleaning + $8 for carpet cleaning.

Went there yesterday to get my car cleaned, there was a bit of wait but the staff was kind, and complete hand wash + wax on the rims for 24$ is almost too good to be true. I will definitely go again and highly recommend you do as well. Just keep in mind they only take cash.

Very well organized, and their hand car washes are reasonably priced and never rushed through. Although there is usually a wait line, it's worth the wait if you want a job done thoroughly. Had 1 car waxed last summer. Not one spot missed. Very impressed.

I want to believe that there is a change of management . In all, It's ok, good wash and a great service. However, the place only accepts cash and nothing else. If you don't have cash , not to worry,there is an ATM machine located in the office.

My favorite car wash so far. They actually do what you ask unlike other places. They raised the price up a bit but I feel like the quality of service got better too (more detailed and thorough cleaning) so that's okay with me.

They do a good job cleaning the car, but charge you more than the price on the price board. The last time I asked the price they would charge me beforehand and the guy said 40 dollars only to apply a decontamination spray.

Probably one of the best car washes in Montreal. The Service is on a high level; Staff works fast and well at the same time. And last but not least, I can always find an amazing smell (refresher) for my car!:) Recommend!

These guys are great, took only 30 minutes for a complete cleaning! They were even able to do the lining of my trunk that had a fair share of messes. Definitely would spend my money here than at an automated car wash

They can’t wash a car properly. I found my dashboard untouched and every time I tell them exterior only I end up up paying for the wax of the tires ( them: oh I thought you said - no you didn’t scammy).

Not 100% satisfied. Their interior cleaning is good job. But for outer surfaces, the insects that died and stuck to my car are still there. Soil in the wheels is still there. Look at the pictures.

The outside was cleaned fine but the inside of my car was still dirty. The dashboard was not cleaned and the trunk never vacuumed. Mats were cleaned well, but the sides inside were still dirty

Did a good job cleaning my dirty Honda Civic. No smelly products used on dashboard. Windows clean. Trunk and floor vacuumed well. I looked for telltale signs of sloppy work, found none.

Awesome place. They have a cleaning line in place, everyone does their part which makes it very fast and good. They are very good and respect you and your car. It is affordable as well.

Got my truck washed and waxed, wash was average but wax job was terrible, a lot of residue and hazy spots. Better to just go through an automated car wash for the money in my opinion.

Finally tried this place after driving past it many times, and was welcomed by the very friendly staff. My big truck was cleaned beautifully! Will definitely return and recommend.
