"Excellent food and good waiter"

"We had the unfortunate experience of dining at this restaurant last night, and it was a complete disappointment"
One of the saddest and disappointing experience I've had for a long time, if not ever. With utmost excitement I went to this restaurant to satiate my craving for Halwa puri for breakfast. The restaurant was quite empty which I put to the fact it being a weekday morning. Ordered my Halwa puri and aloo paratha and patiently waited for these to arrive. Took a very long time ( which I attributed to these being cooked fresh and them being extremely busy with someone who they had hired for PR/advertisement) for my order to come to the table. But what I wasn't expecting was being served uncooked puris and a very mediocre choley. On pointing this out to the person serving me, he did bring me a new puri which was hard and drenched in oil. Since I was still hungry and unsatiated, I ordered for tea( which I had asked for as soon as I had entered the restaurant and was assured of it being available) and vegetable pakoras. The pakoras did come dripping oil which I told one of the other server who told me " pakoras are meant to be oily" and that tea never arrived. After a really long wait one of the servers came up to me and said that the milk is over ( mind it , this was all after I complained about the puris and pakoras). So finally I gave up, asked them to give me the bill, paid for all the uneaten food as well as the extra replaced puri and left. Don't know whether this is how they normally are or was this because of the fact that they were busy entertaining the man with the camera but what I experienced here was an extremely unprofessional behavior of the servers and the manager and a very mediocre food served. PS: I can't imagine a "restaurant " telling it's customer that they are OUT OF MILK for tea. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

It was my first visit to Lahore Spice for a take away order. Order was : chicken biryani, vegetable biryani and butter paneer. Nice and simple! About service: it took them 20 minutes to prepare the order. There was an internal miscommunication about 'butter' paneer. I could see the manager's/owner's furious body language but no one came up to me and explained that I need to wait a little longer. Other staff members were way polite than the manager. About food: the quantity was generous in the boxes. Chicken, the soul of chicken biryani, was dry and hard. Vegetable biryani had gone off and had to be thrown away. Butter paneer was delicious. Surprisingly, the mint raita and salad tasted fresh and crispier, respectively. Overall: Pricing is moderate and takeway orders over £12 get 10% discount. The place seems to have many regulars. (20 minutes well-spent, observing) Verdict: I haven't tried many items on the menu, yet. I might go back and dine in next time. But this visit wasn't very pleasant at all, for sure.
Excellent food and good waiter. Booked a large table for 10 and they did well, recommended. 4 th time eating: Had some good food delivered to my friend house. Very tasty and hot. What more do you want. Order now. I have popped a few times and very friendly staff and allowed me to use the toilet. The grilled meat is amazing and my friend ordered a few bits including a Dahl which she found amazing. Remember support local business there are many restaurants nearby and in the market. Also dotted close by are snooker halls, pubs which are good to go to before a decent curry. The place is about 5 minute from the large Argos and Sainsbury's store. August 2023 Ask to double check your order and tap them up after the starters to get get food in succession. These are my tips generally very good Go ahead make an order or just pop in and eat in.

Been there couple of times, I will highly recommend you to not eat there, the taste is rubbish specially for the Halwa Puri. If you are an Asian then you definitely know the what and how the Halwa Puri is and what's its taste. The Puris were under cooked and made by the wheat flour, Chaney was giving very bad smell and was not even fresh made, halwa was also not fresh. I tasted Chana Daal and chicken Jalfarezi as well, that was also under cooked, too oily and taste less. Staff is available but taking a long time to serve even no one else as a customer was present. I, personally, will not eat from there again.

All the food is taste less.
We had the unfortunate experience of dining at this restaurant last night, and it was a complete disappointment. The food was okay but I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy and Service at this restaurant is a joke. Our waiter was too busy chatting with coworker to notice that we needed anything. They were rushing us so much. Lastly we tried to order desert but one of the waiter came with the bill. Although we ordered desert Gulab jamun and rasmalai but it was tasteless and we asked for masala tea and the waiter said that we don't do tea after 6 pm., If you don't want to do tea after 6 pm then why don't you mention it in the menu. Shameless staff and the restaurant.

I regularly order from Lahore Spices and have been doing so for the last few years; given it’s the only local Pakistani restaurant in my area. I do enjoy the food, however on occasions it can be hit & miss! Sometimes the kebabs aren’t fully cooked and the biryani doesn’t have much chicken or meat. Although, majority of the time this isn’t the case, however there is definitely room for improvement in terms of the consistency of quality! Recently delivery times have been very long, and we’ve been waiting over an 1hr for the food to arrive. I hope this improves drastically in the future.

Ordered 3 mains and sides. The Tikka Massala I have never had one that was so watery and tasted anything like this. It was horrible. My sisters Biryani looked like it had been slung in the container with extra boiled rice and cooked in dettol. The Dansak was so watery and had a strange taste. Curry is my favourite takeaway and I have had many over the years but Never anything as disgusting as this order. I understand Saturday nights are busy but if you can't delivery a decent standard of food then done accept the order. Would never order again.

Chana Massala was tastless sag Alhoo was awful
I go and order from here quite regularly. It's my favourite Asian/Desi food place to eat. Location/shop itself could be slightly better but honestly, the food makes up for it and the staff/management generally tend to look after us, even if it's a home delivery. All the food is Halal here so no need to worry about that. I would definitely recommend the lamb chops, butter chicken and kheema karahi!

The first time I ordered, I got lucky, the food was fresh and pipping hot. Within a week, I placed my second order, thereafter, following week I ordered again. Both times the food was almost cold, and was not fresh. I called the restaurant, sadly the man that answered said the food will be hot and fresh. It was not. They charge for paper bag for delivery..., really down . It is hit and miss with food I guess.

Ordered before and it was pretty good. No issues. Bit of a mixture of things we ordered. Curries are a bit too on the watery side though. Ordered again last night and this time we got the mixed grill as well (only thing that was different). Today I have nothing but diarrhoea and painful tummy cramps. Maybe the mixed grill, maybe something else. All I had that day was granola in the morning and a ham sandwich and protein bar at lunch. So I’m pretty confident it was the dinner. Won’t be ordering again unfortunately.

Continuing on from my search for the best biryani, I visited Lahore spices. Well they didn't do too bad! Firstly the portion size was more than enough for one person. Secondly, the presentation; a traditional looking chicken biryani dish which was pleasing to the eye. Finally, the taste; I have to say I was impressed! They didn't hold back on the masala which gave it that traditional 'authentic' taste, garnished with fried onions. But what really stood out was the price! At £4.95 and that in London too, has got to be the best VFM biryani I've had so far. I'd definitely go back!
Ordered a kebab roll for lunch, freshly made good service, nice atmosphere with decent seating. Definitely a great spot for Sutton locals who want authentic Indian/Pakistani food without travelling out of town!

Overall a disappointing takeaway. The dry meat special was 1 good piece of decent meat for every two pieces of fatty / gristly meat, the chicken saag was good, the chicken dhansak was a little watery and definitely missing the sourness and flavour that are normally the hallmarks of a good dhansak and the portion of onion bhajis (2 bhajis) were disappointingly flavourless.

Horrible experience, we often order from here. On a a Sunday afternoon we ordered a few items, they missed one main item out - when we called them. The manger or main person who came on the phone was rude, unhelpful - took no responsibility for not sending the order. Will never order from here again. Be careful, they take the money for the item but do not deliver it.

If I had an option to give no Star I would have given that. I ordered veg biryani, Paneer Tikka Karahi,Tarka Daal and naan I am vegetarian but the Paneer Tikka Karahi which was listed in the vegetarian section has pieces of meet. I would not eat, I was unwell and was hoping to change my taste buds. This was very poorly of Lahore spice to use same gravy for veg and non vegetarian food.

Used to always order from here, will never use again. £100 order food was terrible. Jalfrezi was tasteless, Korma tasted burnt, tikka masala was bland. Chicken on all of them tasted old and reheated. Even the rice tasted rubbish. Only the naan bread was good. Don’t waste your money it’s terrible & overpriced

The experience didn't start well. The delivery just knock the door and left my food ON THE FLOOR, It only takes seconds to walk from my living room to the door ! Food wasn't great, 1st jalfrezi without green chillies I have ever seen and taste wasn't good. The prawn korma was a "pool" of sauce with few prawns in the middle, I am glad I had desert at home.

Great food to choose from an extensive menu. The onion barji were HUGE, these are definitely home made, not like your shop brought. The food tasted great with sufficient portion. Worth a visit and spending your money here. If you dine in, you can bring your own alcohol as they don't have a licence.

Hello lovely’s , ive been coming here for many years. my favourite dishes are kebab rolls, fish masala, lamb biryani, karahi gosht, veg somosas, and Nihari, good size of portions. very tidy and hygienically clean restaurant, the staff are really friendly, i do recommended this place. A++++++ …
Excellent Food - I thoroughly enjoyed my king prawn dish. It tasty and full of large succulent prawns! The service was friendly and faultless. I think the biggest bonus is that it is a BYO restaurant - so NO over inflated alcohol prices!! I would definitely recommend this good value restaurant.

Karahi chicken & daal mash highly recommended. Fresh naan and good service. Open spacious feel. Very clean. Toilet on first floor.
Tasty food and plentiful in portion. We were a group of 25, for social and the service , attention we received was excellent.
Good for a quick bite. Reliable standard fare. Collection is safer as delivery can be highly delayed especially on weekends
Really friemdly and attentive service, also great value for money, that table full of food cost 11 quid. Top nosh!
Not accepting card payment under £10.00 is a gimmick... however we like the food here, still come for them....
Can you tell the chef to put something on his head? How can you serve food with hair? This is disgusting!
I order chicken biryani and they give me lamb biryani. And biryani was completely bad
