I never write google reviews, but as a hifi/vinyl/music/cocktail nerd I felt inspired to weigh in on Dallas' newest Kissa style lounge. First off, the good, because there's a lot of it. The atmosphere is fantastic. The space already feels cozy, inviting, and lived in. My kind of joint. Walking up to the spot, you can start to hear music, a disco ball on the patio lets you know you're in the right place. Inside, the furniture is cozy, the room is spinning with beautiful golden disco ball light, the decor is spot on, and the lighting fixtures feel fresh and authentic - not overtly trendy or cheap like a lot of new bars can feel. I usually stick to my classics these days so I ordered a rye old fashioned and it was very well made. Nothing frilly or cutesy about it. Just a solid, classically made cocktail. Well done! Our server was kind and attentive, asked for my whiskey preference (they carry Rittenhouse, another green flag!), and was happy to stick around to fill us in on more info about the bar, things they want to do and offer in the future, etc. Now, my only real complaint about the experience, and it's a nitpicky one, admittedly - the sound. My partner and I tried to sit at three different tables and immediately moved because the bass was just too much. And this is coming from someone who *loves* some low-end. The tables on the little side stage suffer the most as the woofers flank either side of it and the lower frequencies just reverberate in the open space underneath. Up there, the bass literally drowned out everything. Granted, the DJ was leaning towards modern hip hop/trap/club as the night went on and the bar started to fill up. However, it was still a Wednesday night and the sound seemed much too knock-y and boom-y for a bar where everyone was seated enjoying craft cocktails. Our server informed us things are a little more mellow and listening-focused 4-8, so maybe we'll try popping in then next time. But I think the bar could be damn near perfect if they dialed in the sound a little better! Overall, still leaving 5 stars because it's rare to see a bar hit the ground running as well as this one has. Can't wait to come back!

The general appearance on the outside is very mysterious, when walking in. It has a completely different atmosphere. Somewhat like a private social club, but the ambiance and vibes calm you after a while. It is self seating, so if you walk in and are a bit timid you may try to be line for a single bar seat or one of the direct tables, but there is a small lounge area in the very back near the restrooms that has more comfortable seating like couches. Overall, it is a good place to grab a drink and hang out. There is DJ's that do mixes with the vinyls inside of their establishment. Sadly there is no request unless a vinyl is available. Overall enjoyed it they only downside was considering it was a weeknight. The bartenders seemed a bit bored and unenthusiastic, I cannot say much about the food seeing as it only had one of the appetizers. Dip trio, hummus was mediocre missing salt or lemon, the onion dip was much more flavorful but not overbearing and not strong enough to require a mint. The only downside to the environment itself is that sometimes the DJs do not know how to regulate the volume of their own mixes and you have to attempt to shout over yourself. Come the next song you're able to speak in a normal tone. Definitely would recommend as a weeknight activity. Weekends can get pretty crazy with long lines.

An absolutely beautiful spot with beautiful and welcoming staff. A place I didn’t know I needed. A place that’s great to lose yourself in. Everyone that works at this establishment is kind and hospitable. DJs are always on point. Love visiting during the weekdays for a more chill atmosphere where I can enjoy a cocktail and great music. Weekends are definitely packed, but where you want to be when you want to experience dancing, good vibes, great music, and great cocktails. Time is both frozen and moving fast at the same time. This place is a gem. An ode to a time in the past I never thought I could experience. I’ve come here both alone and with friends and have always left with a warm feeling. Heather has been my favorite person on staff to have met. She’s funny and bubbly and has a way about her that makes you feel welcomed and loved (by a stranger nonetheless). This is a spot I bring everyone to and recommend to everyone. CDMX is my favorite drink and the mushroom sliders, with or without beef, are to die for.

They’re located by a big parking lot so parking is pretty easy…you might have to circle a few times, but you’ll find something in about 10 minutes if not immediately

Pros: The bar has a nice ambiance. The music was pretty groovy too with a solid dance floor. The backside has tables and somewhat of a lounge area but it does get packed so get there early if you’d like to snag. Cons: The previous reviews were going back and forth on attentive and negligent service. I sadly had the latter. It took about 20 mins for me and my friend to get drinks. Then when I got someone’s attention, the bartender complained that I ordered a LIT. I thought it was a joke at first but then another bartender got involved and made a comment along the lines of “she doesn’t have to [make the drink] if she doesn’t want to.” That definitely killed my vibe so we left after that. I’ve been bartending for about 3 years now and have never heard of such disdain for LIT. Aside from that, it’s unprofessional to complain about doing your job to your customer or at least not clarify that it was a joke. There are quite a few bars within the block with more attentive, friendly, and less fussy service so doubtful I’ll be back.

Not Ladylove; from location, to its retro decor (complete with dance area), ample seating, craft cocktails, comfortably priced, unpretentious cuisine, and magnificent, (owner supervised) staff; attending your needs while you enjoy the sweet sounds of DJs spinning vinyl nightly are paramount at Ladylove. The rotating theme nights, offer the diverse clientele, an opportunity to be transported to that perfect era, and genre of music, their inner groovy, so desire. Although the address is on 7th st, the entrance, and patio seating are, off the large public parking lot around the corner; which makes entering, even more convenient. I heard about this place in a blog and said it was where "cool kids" go, so decided to give it a try. We stopped by for brunch, which is served only on Sundays, the menu is a bit reduced but every dish is carefully designed so everyone of us were very satisfied. The decoration is like vintage/retro, and there was a DJ playing music with only vinyl records. To drink we got the Disco Bubbles which is basically a whole bottle of sparkling wine and it includes juice (unlimited) so you can make your own mimosas. To eat, I got the Stuffed Chicken Blueberry Waffle, it was a very interesting combination of flavors, I liked it a lot. My partner got the Brisket Hash which came with peppers (including jalapeño so it was a bit spicy), onions and a couple of Sunny side up eggs, it was very good as well. The service was fast and prices are accessible. Plus it's a great spot for cool pictures

They’re hustlers & Scams! We were hustled by a waitress in a $9 Target dress! Don’t use your card in this establishment!They charge for the liquor in drinks, ordered old fashioned and they charged $10 for WELL liquor then charge you $15 for the old fashion. Ordered 2 tequila Sunrise with an extra shot of tequila they charged for 4 tequila sunrise. We were a party of 3 the waitress was suppose to separate the tickets, before and after we gave what we had, she waited until one of us was on the dance floor and I stepped out and targeted the inebriated party sitting at the table and gave her the entire ticket. Not to mention, the waitress charged her own $50.80 tip. We were there for 3 hours 1 hour she was on a break! She might have gotten $30 but definitely wasn’t worth $50

After prayer and fasting for forty days and forty nights I heard the lords voice. He instructed me to go to Lady Love. I brought two goddesses and we were asked for 10$ per soul at the door. One goddess said, “wait let me call Jimmy” (the god of taco and vino!) I quickly interrupted with “ten dollars a head is a small price to pay for heaven.” Once we walked in our ears were blessed with the most Sober of music. The space was cleansed from the burned herbal sacrifices of lord David himself. The most flavorful libations were poured upon our mouths ceremoniously. The redheaded goddess of karma floated amongst all of us mortal beings gracing us with her piercing hazel beam. I transported back to my dwelling pondering “was this all a dream?”

They’ll double charge if you’re not aware. They tried twice to overcharge us. After we tried clearing up what we thought was an honest mistake of having 10 drinks instead of the 5, server who ignored us in the very empty bar yelled at my friend, then the owner was called over and the 5 extra drinks were removed from the tab. Then Heather (the owner) started reading out someone else’s tab to my fiancé. He had 1 beer and closed his tab at the bar. When he tried telling her that she said “you’re drunk”. UPDATE; Heather Poile who recently left a review is the same Heather from my review. She’s pretending to be a patron on here or pretending to be the owner to our face and complimenting herself when her service, standard, and business was far from complimentary.

I grew up unable to dance… just naturally no rhythm. So tragic… never felt like I belonged in any venue or bar, especially in Dallas. Then one day I came into this bar and was handed a cocktail from Heather and my hips started to sway. The DJ spun Donna Summers. My feet suddenly were possessed by the power of music or the devil. Not sure which one. I danced all night. I left with abs and an ability to speak 5 languages. Once in a while when I go my sweaty drum circles I think about Heathers soft kitten eyes while she handed me a drink at this establishment. Thank you for the ability to dance. Ladylove me please. If you’re going on a weekend - rideshare. Bishop Arts is always banging and parking can be tight, plus, you’re gonna want to drink more than one and it’s better to be safe than locked up.

The vibe and the music is too good to have such bad bar service. Of course the bar is expected to be crowded and have a wait on a Saturday night but after waiting for my turn and clear eye contact with one of the bartenders, she literally walked away at my turn then stood around at the other end of the bar. I had to wave down another bartender and he took awhile to make the drinks. Hopefully they can get the bar together because the music and the scene is amazing! It reminds me of a 70s version of what the Beauty Bar used to be.

Ladylove is a combination of femme curated warmth and dark mysterious club energy. It's a local bar despite the amount of folks who swing through internationally, great spot to meet out of towners. DJ Booth, Kitchen with sharable bites, Cocktail menu that's changes with seasons. Good spot to go to with girl gang or on a first date. Every night is a little different musically, so check the Instagram out to know what's happening. Favorite thing is the disco balls and the record lounge vibe of vinyl spinning.

Love the record spinning concept. Staff is super sweet. David (the owner) is probably one of my favorite DJ’s ever. Drinks are super yummy. Ashley makes the best tequila sodas. Come here before 8pm for cozy vibes, the staff is usually spinning their own record collection until the DJs get in and yes there’s a DJ every night!

There I was, sitting at the bar. What would I drink? My goodness, I wasn’t sure. Then, suddenly, Thomas the bartender said “want a beer?” And I said “yeah”. I quivered. The atmosphere is great but the service is NOT! The service is pretty terrible. They are either under staffed or don’t have a good rotation. I waited at the bar for 8-15+ minutes each time and had to remind them of my order. Once we had a table, the server came by ONE TIME to take our order within 1.5 hours. Not acceptable in my opinion. So I summary, fun place but expect to wait for service, regardless of where you are!

We were overcharged last night and the waitress added her own tip of 50.80 bucks. I specifically asked the price of my drink was told 13 bucks they separated the type of drink and bourbon which made the drink total to 19 bucks a piece. LLL&S was the best night I've had in a really, really long time. Cozy, lovely, kind people just there to dance & have a blast. My margaritas were amazing and the Japanese beers were delicious too. Our waitress Lindsay was so considerate and knew exactly what we would want to drink. No uptown frat boys, no bullying, toxic bouncers. You can tell this place is owned by women FOR women.
