The shop is not bad but I had some heavier furniture items to buy so I put them in a trolley. When I got to the checkouts there was no human powered ones and when I scanned them the process wouldnt work because it kept asking me to put the item in the tray. Also the trolley locked up before I even got outside the door of the mall. Luckily I found a trolley from another store that had been abandoned and used it to get my stuff to the car. Overall I didn't enjoy my experience there and probably won't go back! An update. I went there to swap a Soda Stream gas bottle and they tried to charge me $35 which is the price to buy a new one. I tried to explain to the two service desk people that I was only swapping an empty bottle for a full one and that the correct price for the refill was $19 but they were adamant that I was wrong. I got my old bottle back and walked out in disgust, went to Coles a few metres away and swapped it there. Coles price..... $19. It'll be a cold day in hell before I go back to Kmart at Fairfield Forum.

This Kmart was ok before, but now when I came somewhat late at night. The service was horrible and everywhere I went there were employees complaining. Also, the position of the self service of Kmart is just really...it can’t possibly get any worse, it is legit in the middle of the store, and it’s so annoying having rude employees bother you about your bags every time and not waiting for you to tidy up the bags that you’ve open for them to see. What’s worse was that the impatient employee checking our bags, claimed to be the manager of Kmart. If the manager of Kmart acts this way...what hope do the customers have with other employees. I am throughly disappointed and am NEVER going here again, I suggest going to another place and I’m even willing to drive far away just for a place that does not disrespect there customers. I seriously relate this -3, too bad that the system doesn’t let you do that

I had such a Horrible customer service experience today. The lady at the main check out redirected me to the service desk for an exchange after a long wait. Fair enough, I went to the service desk to exchange my item. After another long wait, I was told that they can only refund my item. I would need to go back to the main check out to make another purchase. Guess what, the main check out was packed and I was the 13th person in the line after all these. Customer service is meant to be efficient, time effective and aims to get customer satisfaction. The store looked like it was terribly under staffed. If store cannot roster enough staff on for the weekend, it should have been closed for the day instead of letting the customers wait for 45 mins for a very simple request. Never been so upset with other kmart branches.

I had an awful evening experience with a worker tonight 23rd April, worker name ASH who is very rude and unreliable to be working with your store. WE ASKED for assistance if she can locate this particular item. Her advice was there are 3x of this item and going to locate it at the back. We waited for at least 20 minutes when she left us from that location. While we waited we looked around for other things to buy. UNFORTUNATELY ASH the worker on the floor she hasn't come back to let us know the outcome rather she passed her simple job to another staff who is working at the front door who has also a job to do by greeting customers and checking their receipts upon exit.

I had $1000 stolen from my credit card, and used to purchase gift cards at Kmart Fairfield. When someone buys $500+$500 worth of gift cards with out a credit card you would expected staff there to question such a sale. I called the store twice within an hour of noticing ( because the first time the person couldn’t care less ) and gave them the exact time of transaction, they could have very easy cancelled the gift cards making them useless to the thieves hence enabling a refund to my credit card. To my dismay they were unwilling. In my opinion this store and staff should be investigated for fraud. It seem that this is a regular occurrence at this shop.

This review is for K-Mart Fairfield, NSW. This store is destroying the K-Mart name. The quality work that K-Mart does to design, source, make and distribute is all undone once it reaches the Fairfield store. Management doesn't care less - they have no respect for the customer at all. I have complained and sent photos on three occasions over the past two years - nobody bothers to fix the problem. These photos of the Change Rooms and Customer Check Out were taken in July 2023. Don't blame the cleaner - this is very poor management and it goes right up the ladder. If Management loved the K-Mart brand and loved their customers this would never happen.

i would rate 0 star if it possible .bad exp.an irritated staff popping out of nowhere angrily sayin she have to tidy up the rack every 2 minutes and flung the jacket from the skincare shelves on to the floor and it nearly hit me as i walk passed her.went to self checkouts to pay off my stuff , scanner stop functioning.called for assistance , the staff at the checkout seems so unhappy bout it she stared at us and used force on the screen monitor and walked away.simply understandable.due to shortage of staff exhausted long hours pressure and all that but expressing their anger to customers that did nothing bad to them —

Fairfeild Kmart is the worse Kmart I’ve been to. The baby section is not organised properly, I remembered I would always see a pile of clothes and shoes all tangled up on the floor because a lot of customers would like to open the pack of undies etc to see if its good and they will just throw it around. Everything is just every where and very messy and un-organised. The changing room section that have that old lady is very rude, wasn’t happy to answer my questions, gave me the face and attitude when I was with my kid. This is my local Kmart near my house sadly I have to change to Wetherill park.

I really like the newly refurbished shop and the increased range of stock. I was very disappointed with the check out procedure and the location of the checkouts in the centre of the shop. The self check outs were constantly flashing red lights and needing intervention by the single operator. It was a frustrating business waiting for a check out and then being held up by the constant messages asking to.place my purchase in a bag when it was already there. I would like more checkouts at the exit of the shop with an increase in the number of check out operators.

Depending on what your looking for you might find it here or not, this Kmart is not very well stocked on certain items, if your planning on buying toys for birthday or Christmas gifts for kids then you will be disappointed but clothing seems to be in good supply so no need to worry if u want to buy a sweater,socks & underpants as gifts for kids, this you will definitely find at Fairfield Kmart unless there's a sudden rush in panic buying in underpants and sweater I think you will be good in that front! Lol!

Nice to stroll around, especially now after its attractive new look. Prices are pretty good & affordable. A downside is that it can be too crowded. Some clothes sizes are not always available and it is a bit untidy here and there. I really hate how the checkout is all in one place with people lining up at in one long queue, and those checkout machines that can be really confusing and at times may not work properly. Staff is alright, besides one or two you may encounter who may be arrogant and snooty.

Friendly staff. Book section was atrocious and unkempt. It is a place where I as a kid loved that section. It was a mess. And it's location was difficult to find. Not to mention that the no.1 selling book in the world (The Bible) was nowhere to be seen or any fun educational books for children. Again. The staff I spoke to were very friendly. The store was disorganized badly. That's my honest opinion and suggest to keep books close to front entrance for the kids to get excited reading.

I had a bad experience with a particular employee (female brown hair with Harry Potter glasses) she was very rude and judged the situation I was in even when I wasn’t doing anything wrong and I asked another employee previously (named Ethan) who was very nice to me and my friend. I was upset with the way she treated my friend and I so I left immediately in a bad mood however kmart is a great place to save money it just needs better employees that treat customers with respect

Generally when you leave Kmart, the worker at the exit of the store will ask whether you’ve made any purchases or ask to check your bag. That’s fair, I can understand that. Today at lunch time, a short old aged lady just looked at me and said “Nothing?” with the worse sour attitude. What is that suppose to mean I said. Then she says “did you buy anything?” How do you expect me to understand what you mean when you say “Nothing” well she thought otherwise. Use your words hun.

Absolutely disgusted with the service I received. I am quite familiar with self serve and the service lady at the checkout was so intent that I was stupid that i couldn't scan my items myself. I had to do 2 transactions and she insisted I do it all in one. I haven't been to kmart in awhile your customer service skills really need to be looked at. Find out what your customers needs are before you decide for them. Will not be going back.. only regret I didn't get her name

K-mart Fairfield has most of the products you will need such as clothes, select grocery and electronics. The stores are a bit packed and their inventory is more than overstocked for their floor space. The decor and ambience is still trapped in the early 90s and the locals are a bit rough around the store and as a result the store looks really messy. Otherwise the customer service is fine and the staff are trying to do their best to keep everything in order.

Such a shame that the customer service here is horrendous. I was literally interrogated as I was leaving the store. I opened the bag to show the door person as I was walking out. She said "where's your receipt?". I said in the bag. She demanded to look at it and inspected the items that I have purchased. Seriously, get rid of that damn middle check out system and have it at the front. You're treating everyone like criminals!!!

Not happy that the fitting rooms close an hour before the store does & the store now closes an hour earlier too. I wasn't prepared to buy the 3 bras I wanted to try on, as there are signs stating this item cannot be returned for "change of mind". Even more annoying, there was an attendant at the closed fitting rooms & several customers who wanted to try on before purchasing. Poor form Kmart, why bother staying open at all!

I want to give you a zero, but that’s not possible. So I give you a one. I have called you 4 times today, all different departments and no one answered. Get your stuff in order, you’re constantly understaffed, you always have just one person at the registers and she always looks flustered because your self checkout machines never work and that poor girl has to rush around every single one. Answer your freaking phone Kmart!

Irritating and inconvenient. I bought 4 items from you guys through click and collect and it said all the items were available. Then I get notified that only 2 out of the 4 items are ready to pick up as the remaining items are unavailable. If that was going to be the case I wouldn't have bought anything from your store. Stop inconveniencing your customers and get it together. Fix your website while you're at it too.

Areyan that works at the service desk? That kid needs a raise, I kid you not one of the most amazing customer service representatives I’ve ever came across. Actually willing to help and assist unlike a few others in the Fairfield Store. Shared my opinion on the Kmart website too under store feedback so hopefully the recognition is offered where it’s due as some companies struggle to see an employee’s worth.

Extremely helpless and disappointing staff, to say the least. I asked staff if they have a particular set of pants of a particular size and brand, only to have them either dismiss me or say to me that that is all we have over there. I was expecting one of the staff to at least search on their computer or device or at least provide me specific advice. I do not recommend this Kmart store AT ALL.

Someone used the virtual card which was linked to my credit card to do 3 transactions ($800+$1000+$495.98) The staff member was kind of lack of awareness of doubting and couldn’t feel the transactions were suspicious. I tried to contact the Kmart multiple times to inform them this incident but nobody picked up the phone. No offence but I feel upset about it so I am writing this review.

Heard an announcement over PA that the shop was closing in 10 minutes time. About a minute after announcement, 2 staff kicked us out. When we headed to the exit, 2 seperate customers approached the store and the staff told them they had 5 minutes left and to be quick. Inconsistent customer service from the team. Disappointed at the different treatment towards different customers.

Kmart has the worst website ever. I added 12 items into my cart & 11 of them are not available online or for click & collect. How is this possible?! We aren’t allowed to go inside to shop because of lockdown but then items aren’t available for delivery OR click & collect but it’s available on the website for you to select. Kmart, what are you doing

The lack of reception in that place is ridiculous I had to leave my children alone so I could go and find reception to transfer money. The stress that I had to go through not work it. Not going to this Kmart again. And another thing clean up the craft section it is filthy saw used tissues and food. The worst kmart I have been too.

Absolute best customer service of any Kmart I’ve ever been to!! Staff are so friendly and caring and there is a manager with red hair who is so polite and honestly so good at her job. Other customers honestly ruin the experience and can be rude and very irritating especially when they make mess everywhere!!

We have had a bad click and collect experience. The counter in click and collect were unattended, and when a girl yell out wait I'm coming with an attitude as if we have bothered her. Maybe she need more training to deal with customer services. Maybe try a new job where dont have to deal with people….

I do not like how the cashier checkouts are practically in the middle of the store, where you stand in one long queue. On top of that, in the exit there is that bag checking person, where exists another long line. What a joke. A lot of us who have purchased stuff don't need to stand in another queue.

Poor customer service. I had called them up to know the availability of an item and the lady put me on hold to check if they have it. I was on hold for 20mins. I hung up the phone and called them back again - the same lady picks up the phone asks me of the product details and hangs up.

The clothing section especially for the under garments section was a mess. And alot of electrical/home appliances were low in stock. Exercise equipments found very low in stock and cannot find anything I require. Would be great if they can stock up for the weights and dumbbells.

They've got that ridiculous layout where the registers are in the middle, so some poor scared teenager has to approach everyone leaving the store to check their receipt against the things in their trolley. But they do have all the things I expect from Kmart at low prices.

Younger staff yelling across the store at each other. Its more like a high school playground dont bother asking staff for help theyre more concerned about their conversation than helping customers. The only person that was helpful was the guy at laybuy.

Store was well maintained with all the stuff but one staff member was very rude there I think she is the manager there and her name was vee. She doesn’t have the manners to talk with customers. Manners and way of talk is everything in customer service.

The only negative thing is that they never answer the phone. I understand that they are busy however it would really be appreciated if they can answer the phone. Otherwise, staff are friendly and the newly renovated place looks good and clean.

Kmart is fabalous with the vast selection of products to simply update your home and clothing in all sizes that are available. Love the specials, there’s always a section with clothing of 50% off and we all love a bargain!!!

Not a bad Kmart store. It is much smaller than other Kmart stores I've been too. Customer service is okay and often a hit and miss. Just depends on who serves you and who is willing to help you out.
