Stopped in here for a mid week brunch with my wife. I am glad it was mid week, as I am sure that this place would be packed out on weekends. The Kitchensmith menu has a fantastic selection of meals you simply couldn't whip up at home. I opted for the pulled pork with poached egg and cornbread while my wife had the baked eggs. Both were delicious. The food is fresh and flavoursome and servings very generous. Freshly squeezed juices and lovely coffees and iced coffees add to a fantastic brunch.

(Speaking purely on coffee and atmosphere) Has potential. Coffee needs improving. Coffee tastes like Grinders coffee, that cheap chain stuff you get at sports stadiums or a deli. It's similar to a spend money to make money type improvement. Spend more on better coffee and/or milk, while keeping the customer cost the same, and the coffee's quality will improve out of sight. When the coffee improves, the customers will increase being the only cafe in the south-western section of Mawson Lakes. Menu is standard, although the food looked good. I'd love to see some native ingredients used in innovative ways in some dishes. Do that and I'll pay for food there too.

Not sure what happened to the friendliness service this place used to have. I was having breakfast with my friend this week at KS and the staff who took our orders was terrible and rude, both she and the chef just couldn’t be bothered to put friendly smiles on their faces. Our food was good and great portions, coffees were great too. Less banging dishes and utensils at the background would be even better though. We still want to return hoping to see a better service with a smile when customers enter the door.

Looking for an unforgettable brunch experience? Look no further! This local cafe has it all: - Perfect serving sizes - Amazing staff - Delicious fresh juice - Seasonal menu for variety The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and provide excellent service. The food is fantastic, and their commitment to using fresh ingredients shines through in their delicious fresh juice. With a seasonal menu that keeps things exciting, this cafe is a must-visit for a memorable brunch. Can't wait to go back and enjoy their exceptional hospitality again!

I honestly do not understand how this place gets a good review on coffee. The coffee I got yesterday was just honey flavoured warm milk. Couldn’t taste the coffee at all. Common sense if your coffee is weak use a double shot or calibrate your grinder or get a stronger coffee blend?? I get you pride yourself on using a good quality milk and coffee but it didn’t leave a good taste or experience to me at all. I think your Barista needs a lot more training and listening skills. Sorry. Won’t ever be returning.

The joy of finally finding a local Cafe in Mawson Lakes that actually makes good coffee. My reviews are sometimes tainted by post exercise highs, but I'm confident that this one is actually a winner. Sister Cafe to 303 by the Sea and Oar, this one seems to carry similar quality attributes. Situated on a corner of Elder Drive, I observed numerous locals grab a decent coffee on their way to work. Looking forward to trying some of the other menu items in the near future.

Quaint little place in Mawson Lakes. They do cute little faces in coffees, weekly specials and are reasonably friendly. Eggs benedict were different with cold ham (sliced deli ham) and not warmed.. Pancake (when they're on the menu) are a 3/4 inch fluffy cake about the size of a small plate and cooked in a actual cast iron pan so it's crunchy - which was good.

Tucked inside of Mawsons this is hidden gem can be easily missed. Glad I stopped by and got brunch. Eggs Bennie with salmon was the order. Eggs poached perfectly. Hollandaise sauce spot on, not thin and runny nor too thick. Perfect balance of creaminess. Good spread of spinach and a tasty toasted croissant to finish. Juice fresh and tasty. Great pricing and a must try if your based in the North. Best breakfast joint in Mawson's!

Hidden Gem in the backstreets of Mawson Lakes. Had driven past a few times and always seen people inside or heading over to this cafe. Today I thought is the day to try new things....and boy was I not disappointed. Staff are very friendly, the food was great in both presentation and taste. Coffee was of a high standard and juice was quite a treat. For what we got.... Pricing is quite good. Would definitely go again.

  • Ross Guerin

An absolute hidden gem. Judging by it's size I'd assumed it was just coffee and takeaway sandwiches. Nope. It's got a full menu! Amazing! Muffins and other treats to die for. Service is top notch. Also, it's right next door to a homewares / clothing boutique - Luvely (the sister store), worth popping in to have a look when it's open too on Fridays and Saturdays.

Amazing Cafe run by lovely staff. The food and coffee is fantastic and always consistent in taste and presentation. Their hand made sausage rolls are the best I've ever had. 10/10 for the jungle juice as well. Highly recommend Kitchensmith!

Tucked away spot in Mawson Lakes but had a great brunch Iced coffee was served with whipped cream which I liked, and the Japanese savoury pancake kept traditional flavour combinations with a fun addition of salmon, very filling too! Staff were friendly and the place is small but well-lit and well-decorated :)

A beguiling hole in the wall that doesn't simply do breakfast but unreservedly and apologetically takes up a notch. And more importantly they know how make coffee without making a mess of it (aka not burning it or making it bitter)

Had breakfast here over the weekend as I heard it was nice here. It was not a good start to our day. My partner and I were very dissapointed. We had horrible customer service and the cook was rude when placing an order at the counter. It seemed to be an issue that we wanted sauce on the side with our meal. The food was average. I wouldn’t return.

  • Kelly Spendlove

We ordered the pancakes with lemon curd which were very tasty and a decent serve. The coffee was very nice. Parking can be a problem with parks filling up fast in the local area. (We went for breakfast)

It's okay, and local. Some bad food and atmosphere experiences. Food from fridge was over-microwaved and possibly old, angry - what I assume was management at new staff, very stuffy and smelly space inside - 10mins inside while waiting, and I had to wash everything I wore.

I don't know what the other reviewers were smoking but I went here based on their reviews, and was really disappointed with their unfriendly service and subpar food/coffee. Food was ok, undertoasted bread, cold hollandaise() and poorly presented. coffee was also 2 star. Iced latte served in a mug() and very weak …

  • Philippa Jerram

The coffee was lovely and smooth but the show stopper was the pina colada waffles! They looked like they should have been overly sweet but they weren't. The passionfruit curd added a delightful zesty tartness, the cream is not at all sweet, but still flavourful and the macadamias added a lovely crunch to the whole dish.

  • Iris Marginean

The avo on toast and green juice to start my day was perfect! Great bread, great coffee and great staff! Was very surprised this place was only a 4.6. Thanks for the food!

As Yogi Bear would say... Better than the average cafe! Sunday outings for breakfast tend to have the same good quality of food and coffee but we were blown away by this place. Whether it is sweet or savoury, the food here has really impressed my wife and I. Give it a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised. …

  • Enza D

My favourite place to have coffee and breakfast or lunch. The coffee is always good! The smashed avocado is the best in Adelaide and the Halloumi salad is so tasty and fresh. This place is definitely a standout and I highly recommend it for the good fresh produce, friendly staff and smooth coffee.

  • Catherine Skoulis

Omg the most delicious and beautifully presented brunch. We ordered Japanese pancake with salmon, and the toasted sanga with poached egg and hollandaise sauce. Fresh juice and coffee also very good. Very generous serving size too.

This is a hidden gem. Beautifully prepared coffees and delicious food. Highly recommend. Note, the mugs are a delight to drink out of too, which is a simple but appreciated detail in any coffee experience. Gotta try a muffin or baked good, the chef knows what she’s doing.

  • Brett B

Coffee was just ok. I got a soy latte and the soy milk was heated far too hot. Soy should not be overheated as it can spoil the milk and ruin the coffee, this milk burnt my tongue. A little education for the baristas could go a long way.

  • Marta Orlowska

Great small place in a middle of nowhere. Amazing food and friendly staff. We had ricotta hotcake and a blue crab scrambled eggs and both were delicious. They also serve absolutely magical Mork hot chocolate. We will definitely be back!

  • Isobelle Kerr

Absolutely beautiful little place in Mawson Lakes, each meal I’ve gotten with my partner has been fantastic, the Chef even without another staff member put all efforts into serving, making coffees and other drinks, as well as the meals!

It's OK. Opens at 7 on Sundays but you are greeted with "kitchen doesn't open until 730" which is not advertised anywhere. Service was underwhelming and it felt like we were an inconvenience. Coffee was good.

  • Nate Gil Barshad

Nice chic little local cafe in Mawson Lakes, interesting as they offer Mediterranean & Asian breakfast. Nice try but sad that both of what we order are a bit too salty for us to finish. Rest is good. More

  • Anke Bester

We have been at Kitchensmith heaps of times and were always very happy with the food and service we received! Definitely one of our favourite brunch and lunch spots. Great portions and really tasty food!

  • Michael Connelly

Great small breakfast, one of the few cafes that will actually give you 2 bits of bread with 2 eggs, coffee is not bad. Edited, 1 year on buffins are excellent highly recomment egg and bacon one

  • Leah Ryan

Asked for a vegetarian option of their eggs Benedict and was made to feel like a burden for not wanting ham or salmon. Food was okay, but would have preferred a more accepting atmosphere.

  • Dion

Kitchensmith is a renound cafe for quality meals and drinks, the staff are excellent and enthusiastic. Absolutely no quarrels with this Cafe and is amongst my top 10 in this area.
