I had an outstanding shopping experience at Safeway! The store's cleanliness and organization immediately caught my eye. The aisles were well-lit, and the shelves were neatly stocked, making it easy to find everything I needed. The staff at Safeway were incredibly helpful and friendly. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and valued as a customer. They were readily available to answer my questions and assist with any inquiries I had. What truly impressed me was the wide selection of products available. Safeway had a fantastic variety of fresh produce, meats, and groceries. Their commitment to offering both mainstream and specialty items made it a one-stop shop for all my needs. The checkout process was efficient, and I appreciated the convenience of self-checkout options. The store also had an excellent range of promotions and discounts, making it even more budget-friendly. Overall, my experience at Safeway was excellent. The combination of a clean and well-organized store, helpful staff, diverse product selection, and competitive prices makes it my go-to grocery store. I highly recommend Safeway to anyone looking for a top-notch shopping experience!

Sadly, only what? Twenty years after it was built? This place is just a craphole. Sure, they've been doing some remodel work, but it's little more than lipstick on a pig. Poorly designed parking lot is often gridlocked even when nowhere near full. To the credit of the management, they keep retail spaces filled and there isn't a huge amount of turnover, but seriously, it's little more than a high-functioning eyesore. Also, the Safeway that anchors the place has the worst produce in West Seattle. Maybe all of Seattle.

Came in here to sit in warm Starbucks while wife shopped. Doors next to Starbucks were left wide open and freezing air was coming in. Store just spent millions of dollars in renovations and told me they couldn't fix the doors!! Safeway store is still very cold inside but it's handy and carries a surprising amount of products. UPS store at Jefferson square is closed now and is some sort of private mailing. center. Went there to mail a package and was told had to go to post office now.

Very safe but customer service experience, they have no clue on taking care of customers. They told me to get a hold of the person on the receipt. Ended up going to Burien to take care of the issue we had, just changing a number used for gas, preferences. All they do for customer satisfaction is liquor, cigarettes, lotto, and counting tilts. Just a simple changing of number? Wow! Great place near everything. Customer Service have to get educated on new technology.

This is easily the finest parking lot/shopping center combination in West Seattle. Named after one of the best safeties in the NFL, Tony Jefferson, the options are almost endless - whether you're craving Taco Del Mar or Papa Murphy's...you need to ship something immediately at one of West Seattle's most convenient UPS stores...or need groceries at Safeway, one of the 10 best grocers in West Seattle, Jefferson Square literally has it all!

I only went to the office building here. It was clean, but the offices were very hot. In addition, the elevators were not working so we had to take the stairs up a few flights. I didn't mind the exercise, but there was a building security gaurd who did not even acknowledge the problem when though he had to take the stairs too so obviously knew about the issue. On the plus side, there was free parking and that was convenient.

  • BumpintheG

I only have two words to describe this place rude and unprofessional. In addition how would I know that the manager is the Manager because she doesn't dress or carry herself professionally and she never wears a name tag... So now what is she getting paid for This is part 1 of my review. I will get part 2 when I go back there and get proof: pics as well as video of the unprofessionalism of this woman and her store.

  • Ruth Reiser

Really quick place to go and access a number of businesses of varied functionality. I really like it in West Seattle with a drugstore and a supermarket anchoring it at either side plus a number of small restaurant businesses as well as other small businesses that are pertinent to this central part of the district. My only qualm is the parking is a little difficult and sometimes none existent during busy periods.

  • Kelsey Papst

The parking lot desperately needs to be resurfaced. Eventually, they're going to find themselves with an ADA accessibility lawsuit on their hands if they don't. The store fronts all look a bit run down, the signs need updating, and it's really hard to see pedestrians coming as you exit the parking lot. The signs look old. A security guard wouldn't hurt. The landlord needs to step it up.

  • Peter Schulte

Safeway and The UPS Store along with more retail in the West Seattle Junction. This is a smaller Safeway, but convenient and clean with friendly staff members. The guy at The UPS Store was super helpful as we scanned documents to email for my wife. He did it for us. The parking is plentiful and the place feels safe, with no homeless nor panhandlers in sight.

  • Malynn Cantleberry

Parking is always a problem at this location especially during after work hours. And the drivers are insane never look behind themselves when backing out. During rush hour Safeway is absolutely pointless to go to. You'll be in line for an hour. And make sure you pay attention to your receipt I have yet out of hundreds of times been charged properly.

  • Christopher N Schnee (Schlep Screendoor Carlson)

A growing, bonanza of grocery stores, Bars, Food, Restaurants, And a great collection of old and new, Ma & Pop stores. Awesome place for window shopping, and misc. eats. I would say that several blocks in north, south, and east directions from California and Alaska are a great afternoon of fun, shopping, and eating. I live here so I know...;)

  • John GIBSON

This shopping center is in the Junction in West Seattle. Wide range of stores with a nice Safeway, Bartell's Drugstore and a nice smoke shop owned and operated by a really nice Korean couple. Also check out the Taco Del Mar and Supercuts. The best Teriyaki restaurant in the area is down the stairs on the corner. Easy access, clean and safe.

  • BrIronman BTL

It's a cool area of businesses. Don't eat at Nikko Teriyaki however. They had a clump of hair in my food and wouldn't give me any money back without me giving the evidence back. (I had to wait and see if I fell I'll from it. Hopefully you understand in this pandemic. ) Clump of hair, first bite! No refund! They should not do business!

  • Hajir mohammed

I went to safeway here and it was horrible. They really need to hire more people. They are winning hella money, but they have just few workers. I had to wait so freaking long for someone to come in the bakery so that I can order a cake. The lines are so long as well. They need to put a self check out machines. Never coming back again.

  • Donna Weaver

I go to this area to do shopping mostly at the Safeway store & Bartell's Drug store. However, I sometimes go into the cigarette/tobacco store also. I just noticed today that there is a new chiropractic or therapy place named The Joint, as I drove around the big parking lot. So, there are a variety of places/stores in this area.

  • Krystal Schader

Nikko Teriyaki is West Seattle's best kept secret for teriyaki in my opinion. Fast, cheap, and super good! (I am usually disappointed with food around Seattle even at 3X the cost) Two choices for groceries, a drug store, Domino's, and random, niche shops and services like massage, and math for kids. A good pokemon go stop.

  • Ed A

This is convenient to my home, has a well laid out Bartels, tasty Mexican mom and pop place Baja Taco and convenient UPS drop off store. The downside is parking. Parking is a nightmare here and I only go here when I have to drop off a package at the UPS store. While I'm there I eat at Baja Taco. Usually there once a month.

  • Kimx Stacy

Safeway here open 24 hours. It is a good free & secure place to park if you're running errands around here. This Jefferson Square consist of a Sprint store, Bartell's Drugs, Papa Murphy's Pizza ,U frame it, Supercuts, cigar land ,Baja Taco, The UPS Store, Subway sandwiches and the teriyaki place and a couple of others.

  • eric rice

This parking lot should be investigated, it should be a crime to have parking spaces so tight, you can't get out of your car. I only go here when I absolutely have no other choice because of the parking. More times than I can count, I have had a bad experience because of it. Just go somewhere else.

  • Dark Hawke

Your basic strip mall, with the urban addition of apartments above. Nothing exceptional, but some good shops & eateries. What makes it worth your time are the nice Bartell Drug & Safeway that bound the "square.". Good enough to get what you need, but not exactly pretty while doing it.

  • M S

Parking here can be a real challenge, both from the way it's set up, the relatively low number of spots and the behavior if other frustrated drivers. It's a decent Safeway, and the package delivery place that USED to be a UPS store is staffed with very helpful and professional folks.

  • Dance Fire

There's several businesses and shopping that are within walking distance from each other. There's also a veterinary hospital and free parking from the main building (which is the Square) itself). The Square is close to the Alaskan Junction, California Junction and WS freeway.

  • Gabriel Miller

Has quite a few good stores/businesses...it definitely takes care of a bunch of my errands...theparking lot is a little crazy...the spots are smallish...and there is always a ton of traffic moving around and through it...but the parking is free and I always find a spot...

  • Mary Johnson

I don't go to this store often so I really don't have any hard opinion about this store it is a little smaller than the Ballard, Admiral stores that I frequent doesn't have a lot of the products I buy but it's still convenient to go to nice staff good store

  • Steve Johnson

Not friendly people. The lines are obnoxious. Also their shelves are like a dollar store shelf especially at Jefferson Square. All their beans section all their s*** is one row and it just they have no help. They need to add labor is disgusting.

  • Patrick Sullivan

Kind of a beat up old commercial/residential development. I've seen many a rat scurrying around the restaurant on the bottom floor near where the gym used to be. I think this will be completely remodeled and renovated within the next ten years.

  • Danny Hiltwein

My girlfriend goes there a lot and they help her they should help her shop finding something they will help her and I go there and they're just always clean and nice people most friendly people and how are you I am in there maybe 20 minutes

  • Jamie Brewer

A good clean place to get groceries but sometimes the employees seem to be a little too paranoid and stare at me alot..lol.. maybe I need to dress better or something.. they take my money easy enough though.. imagine that.

  • Zachary Sorenson (Mr. Zackster)

have gone to this Safeway for as long as I can remember staff have always been friendly and the convince of the nearby businesses in West Seattle is valuable especially with the increasing lack of parking in the junction.

  • Kraig Fisher

This is a cute little shopping center. The parking is pretty tight, and there is a lot if pedestrian traffic. If I lived in the area I think I would frequent this place. I was only there for a short time period for work.

  • Harold V Higgins

Our Rescue Dogs couldn't be in better hands than those of the "West Seattle Animal Hospital's Doctors and Assistants." My Shirley, myself and Family are truly ❤ in their debt. Our love and thanks . Harold V Higgins …

  • Paul Weaver Campiche

Love this shipping center. It has my tobacco, food and drug stores in it. The bartells is a bit overwhelmed but they are trying. Safeway is a useful place and is staffed by some down to earth, kind and helpful clerks.

  • NowI'mMe

There's not much here of interest except the U.P.S. store and a very nice Bartells Drug Store. Well, those are on the level that I visited. I think there's cool stuff on the other side. Your mileage may vary.

  • Toxy

Not a huge selection of shops here but theres plenty of parking and most of what you'll need on a daily basis. The safeway has a self checkout which makes their typically horrible checkout times much better.

  • Cynthia Clouser

I like this shopping area. They have a variety of shops and eating places. A Papa Murphy's pizza is located here. Bartells, Hair Salon, UPS, Smoke shop( where I but my incense ). And a Safeway store.

  • A User (FrugalSmith)

the teriyaki Is great here...The Safeway is clean good selection decently priced liqour and beer. one of the more economically affordable grocery stores in the area. Good selection of everything....

  • Jessie Morehead

Full of white people. White people everywhere. Like oh my God. Ive never felt so out of place on my entire life and I just wanted a Gatorade. Definatley not a place to go if you are ethnic at all.

  • Ruth

The Safeway store is clean and usually well stocked. I'm in and put fairly quick. Parking is good. The UPS store is still there, and I've dropped off packages there before. Decent mall.

  • Pterodactyl Treason

A great shopping center. Get your scripts at the Bartells. While you wait, you can get some shopping done at the Safeway!! For all you disgusting smokers, they even have a cigar land!

  • Pi Daddy

Lots of different types of shops here, but don't go here at the times Google says it's busy. This shopping center gets too full and makes it impossible to park, or get out of the lot.

  • Janelle Harsant

I like this store alot . But, if you go in the middle of the day . The parking lot is very busy with the other businesses customers . So, it can get difficult dealing with that .

  • Renine Starika

My favorite Safeway. I really like that it hasn't been renovated into an impersonal giant superstore. The employees are friendly and helpful. The store is always clean and neat.

  • Maria Stockstill

I've been coming here for over a decade now! The only thing I don't like about coming here is the parking lot always seems too small and hectic! Otherwise the stores are great!

  • Anthony Schlacks

Convenient cluster of shops. I tend to go to Safeway and Bartell's which are across from each other. There is plenty of parking in front of the stores and in a parking garage.

  • Barbara Ault

My Grandson did not enjoy math until he started coming to Jefferson Square Mathnasium. He looks forward to going and comes out happy and confident! Thank you JS Mathnasium!

  • Miss Ninja Girl

Conveniently located near California Ave where there's restaurants and shops. Park in Safeway parking and walk out since street parking is hard to find during busy times.

  • linda wells

Convenient and free parking for 0-3 hours. Best & cleanest Safeway I've seen so far in Seattle.UPS store there which is convenient for getting multiple errands done.

  • Marco Deppe

A parking nightmare on busy days. If you can walk or bike, do yourself a favor.... Or use parking in the side streets, but the main parking lot is often gridlocked.

  • Sharon Nelson

The Safeway there lets their employees just scream at a customer. I been a Safeway shopper for most of my life. I have never been treated so horrible in my life!!

  • Avishek Banerjee

Bartells, SafeWay, Supercuts and a few other stores out here. Nikko Teriyaki is also at the square which is a pretty good take out place. Plenty of parking here.

  • Andrew Gross

A fair amount of stores there... parking is a little too crowded, but that's what happens when more people move into the neighborhood.... which is fine with me.

  • Mother Tucker

Went into the Safeway. Parking was pretty easy to find. The store had a nice layout. With a lot more variety than I find at my local Safeway, in a small town.

  • Sarah James

No public restrooms. Parking is tricky. Always smokers around. If you have to get anything done within the shopping center- just make it as quick as possible.

  • Kesh Karan

This complex has many businesses. Like UPS, Bartell, Safeway, Starbucks, etc.. Any a block from the Alaska Junction (kinda a trendy bars, restaurants, etc..)

  • Sandrina Reyes

It can feel unsafe at times day or night. Be aware of your surroundings, try not to walk alone if you can help it. Other than that the businesses are great.

  • Elissa Mendoza

Great teriyaki place (Nikos, not sure on the spelling), free parking always a plus, also a nail shop, gym, bartell drugs, and Safeway just to name a few.

  • John Diggs

Parking is horrible, getting in and out during busy times is an absolute nightmare! The shop/store selections are really lame and uninteresting to boot.

  • Liuba Svatko

Safeway is ok. I wish there was a Fred Meyer in West Seattle. I guess Safeway is Kroger now, but Fred Meyer has more departments, so I like it more.

  • Super Genius

Typical Seattle retail architecture. Nothing about this place is very interesting. The layout inside is strange. Random stores under QFC are silly.

  • Richard T

Both shop side parking and underground (fee) parking for exploring the West Seattle junction. Multiple shops, food center, drug store, and more

  • Sarah Salvano

Never enough checkers during busy hours. Outside appearance of store and complex always has trash laying all over parking lot and entry ways.

  • G T

Baja Taco is right in the middle, great food, friendly service, very reasonably priced as well! Definitely picking up more tacos for the guys

  • Jake Hallock (Moonj64)

It's a pretty basic strip mall with a Safeway and a pharmacy. A few smaller shops as well. Nothing extraordinary but useful for daily needs.

  • Ben Kemkes

I can't say I've ever really had a stand-out experience here, which I'm okay with since I'm usually just trying to pick up some groceries...

  • Melanie Sinclair

Great shops, beware of the dreaded parking lot, sadly with all the population boom in West Seattle you can barely breathe in here anymore.

  • Dean and Mindy Anderson

It's smaller than the Safeway a mile or so north, and the parking lot is pretty small and awkward. Otherwise, a good, basic grocery store

  • Tina Ramos

Always long lines to check out, regardless of time of day. They never have enough checkers. Admiral Safeway is ran more efficiently.

  • Seattle Candy Company

Except for parking spaces which are so narrow you can barely get out of your car, but still love all West Seattle businesses here

  • Josh Lavigueure

Secret gem of West Seattle. Great restaraunts, safe and clean location, and offers a great variety of utility shops such as UPS.

  • Dan Rustan

Parking lot is a challenge to navigate. It's not payed out well. It's usually busy. There are a mixture of good and bad vendors.

  • Silly Whabbit

The parking here, like all the residential streets near here are horrid. Residents can't park anywhere on weekends or holidays.

  • Heidi Merritt

LOVE Jefferson Square.. Wish there was a entrance closer to Bartell's being on a electric chair.. …

  • Erik Denmark

Parking is difficult when it's busy. East entrance to Safeway is shut after 9pm because of theft. Convenient location.

  • Ari Yoder

Small Shopping Center with a great Veterinary Clinic, Safeway, Bartell's, a nail salon, UPS, and several other shops.

  • Gamzee Makara

No where has any baby changing stations, and nothing is very sanitary... Other than that, it's a great spot to shop.

  • Jan Pareja

Do grocery, refill your prescriptions, get teriyaki, and mail that package all in one area! Parking is a bit stiff.

  • Tom Petersen

Extremely busy, parking can be tough at certain times of the day. The Safeway is packed tight with inventory.

  • xana land

Best UPS store in Seattle. Bartells is nice and clean. Safeway is okay the lines are sometimes WAY too long.

  • Amy Hua

It has a phamacy, safeway, places to eat and drink, and send out your packages. It is a very useful square.

  • Mary Van Zante-Peiser

Great shops. Parking is ample with big spots..... design of traffic flow makes it frustrating at peak times

  • Erik Erickson

I like how the battles drug store and Safeway are in place. The stores across the street are nice as well

  • Kathryn Noel

Parking lot is too small, parking spots are too tight, too much traffic, don't like the Safeway there.

  • Priya Ball

Good location with easy access to multiple places. Convenient parking to run multiple errands at once.

  • Nancy Wright

I Love all Safeway s but this store could stand sum customer service training if you know what I mean

  • JessCuz SheCan Ferrera

Stocked and open during snow storm... appreciate all who worked thru the storm. They are appreciated.

  • Igor S

I shop at Safeway a few times per week. Some time it gets crowded and it's difficult to find parking.

  • Rudy Saavedra

An old fashioned grocery store. Excuse me for saying like the go old day's. Just feels right right.

  • Chris Kerr

U frame it store here has an awesome dude running it. And the spicy chicken teriyaki place is bomb.

  • No One

Love this Supercuts location. Ez to make appointments, friendly service and well done haircuts.

  • Roxane Julian

Same great store as when I lived in area. Easily located items i needed and service was great

  • Ronnie Larry

Very helpful staff at the PCC here. Gorgeous Setting. All retro, all natural, like the Brand!

  • Keegan “McNutters” Moon

Awful parking setup but overall good selection of stores with friendly and helpful staffs....

  • Danielle Newsome

Small shopping center. Some free street parking. Free customer parking can be full at times.

  • Stephen C. Hayes

Parking a pain The cigar shop refuses to get the filtered cigars I've repeatedly asked for.

  • Ipha Iphraim

Nothing to complain about. You have bartel drugs, Pho, nails, post office and so much more.

  • Erin Rose

Pros: Bartells and Safeway are located in the same place. Cons: NO more Papa Murphy's. ☹️

  • Dave Ford

Great location but the parking spots are tiny and it can be difficult to see pedestrians

  • Sarah Dougal

Parking sucks. The Safeway constantly has mold in the refrigerated section by the milk.
