Summary: I ordered over $5000 in furniture that was supposed to be delivered within 3 weeks and ultimately took 6 months and 4 delivery attempts to complete (see BOL photos) due to damaged pieces, missing pieces, & no show scheduled delivery dates. I ultimately filed a claim against the company and was awarded 30% money back on the transaction in line with the amount of damaged items and inconvenience. This company practices shady business operations . Detail: I order a custom Michael Amini bedroom set (over ~$5,000 value) that was claimed to be available for delivery 3 weeks after purchase. James Anthony made the first delivery attempt over two months later (with terrible communication throughout the whole process) and came with multiple damaged pieces (their delivery guys pointed out the damages to me and stated JA was aware and approved delivery regardless) and multiple missing pieces. The bed was unable to be assembled for about 2 more months due to missing pieces. JA stated replacement of the damaged pieces would take additional months, and I requested a partial discount lieu of the long lead times to replace the pieces. They offered me $500 off on a $5,000 purchase with 3 of the 4 pieces having been damaged. I demanded this was unreasonable and they needed to offer more, they blamed the low discount on the manufacturer (Amini) and I advised their financial dispute with Amini did not involve me as I was JA’s paying customer and did not at all deal with Amini during the transaction. Leticia, a manager, raised her voice and initiated multiple yelling matches about the subject matter over the phone. I ultimately opened a claim, submitted proof of the damages, and proof of JA’s unwillingness to rectify and was awarded a 30% reduction to the sale price. Overall a delivery that was promised in 3 weeks took 6 months to complete. JA does unhonest business and is ran by unprofessional individuals. Jennifer, the lead manager threatened me and called my phone to simply argue without intent of rectifying the issue of my missing and damaged furniture. Looks of the store are simply deceit.

Really uncertain how this place gets a review of “high end” furniture. We ordered 2 custom swivel chairs. A sectional. And an entry way console. The entry way piece was damaged. The sectional came without connectors. And the $2700 custom swivel chairs came with a 1/2 inch plywood base which I knew would not withstand the top heavy chair. The chair was beautiful. Loved the design and custom fabric as my wife picked it out. However the craftsmanship of the chair was exceptionally poor quality. My wife expressed this at delivery and was brushed off. With in 1 week the base of the chair broke. The manager/assistant manager will not return a phone call. The lady who answered a call, Amy, told us she was not a furniture manufacturer and hung up on us. Finally when James Anthony, the manufacturer of the chair agreed to remedy the problem, sent THEIR repair clinic to come out, they insisted that the price was too high and wanted a better quote to fix the chair. The problem with the chair was, they drilled the holes twice the size of the bolts and then put 2 inch long staples in the bottom to “hopefully” keep the screws in. Well, that’s what broke. We purchased 2 chairs. Both were manufactured the same way but would only authorize to fix the broken chair, and leave us with the other. The staples were so big that they surpassed the nubs on the chairs bottom and scratched our beautiful wood floors. I’ve never been treated so poorly. We spend 18k at Nathan Antony. No one will call you back. If you do get someone on the phone they argue, claim you are wrong, you are the problem and eventually hang up on you. Please save yourself and do NOT purchase from this company. Their customer service motto is “AVOIDANCE”

James Antony Home and my designer Eduardo Gonzalez have been key to the interior design of my home. James Antony has relationships with hundreds of manufacturers, which to a layperson can be completely overwhelming, but Eduardo guided me through the design process by listening to my needs and getting a sense of my aesthetic before narrowing down options for me to choose. Ultimately, I selected custom dining chairs, counter stools, living room chairs, sofas, and outdoor patio furniture along with a dining room table, side tables, lighting, rugs, and unique wall art. Now, custom furniture takes awhile and the manufacturers have their own time tables and delays that James Antony has no control over, but Eduardo kept me apprised at each step of the process. I don’t use the “f” word lightly, but my place is fabulous! If you want to look like everyone else, feel free to go to the big box stores. If you want to have a home tailored uniquely to you and that no one else has, choose James Antony and Eduardo Gonzalez.

If I could give negative stars I would. I have never had customer service as bad as James Antony. To recap my experience. I ordered a complete bedroom set in April 2022. I received no follow-up and only excuses each time I tracked down my sales rep, Eddie. After many calls and emails I finally received my order (long after my final payment of over $7K) in December of 2022. The furniture was delivered damaged at which time I was instructed by Letticia (then customer service rep and now manager) to take the furniture and they would either send a repair person out or replace the item immediately. It is now April, I have called, emailed etc... numerous times to only get the run around. I am disgusted at the service from James Antony Home Furnishings. I found the same furniture (less expensive) on Wayfair and I should have purchased through them. They definitely have a much higher level of customer service. BEWARE... and DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!!

I ordered furniture from James Anthony in Oct 2019. Beware, the contract has a line at the end of the contract indicating there is no deadline on their delivery date. Tomorrow is Dec 1, 2020 and I still do not have furniture or delivery date. Sara is very good at helping with selections. However, I feel her skills end there. Fifteen months is not an acceptable wait time. Trying to obtain follow thru has been impossible. I called Century direct and was told the problem was caused by lack of documentation and follow thru. If you should choose this company I strongly recommend inserting a progressive penalty for failure to deliver and a method to obtain a refund should wait also extend beyond reasonable. Also, the only way management will contact you is with emails. There is no one to talk to if you have a problem and no one who will follow up once you email them of a problem.

I don’t think these are real store closings. The furniture is okay, but they have no respect for the rules of the city sign laws and post cheesy yard signs as near as they can to their competitors up and down Preston Road, The Toll - Just doing as they please. There were 20 signs at Preston Royal in the median and more just littering the area Saturday. I saw store owners out trying to pull them up. The taxes these businesses have to pay for that area are huge. JA needs to clean up their mkt tactics and have some respect for the area that keeps them in business. Oh, never mind. They are leaving anyway, right?

Incredible experience with the design team (Sara) when selecting new chairs for my home. I had been avoiding buying chairs I really needed for extra seating in my living space because I get overwhelmed going to furniture stores, and never found anything I really loved anyway. I decided to leave it to the experts, and so glad i did! the entire experience from discussing what I wanted, to design aesthetic, to pricing was totally easy and pleasurable. the store is gorgeous, and the staff has expert advice in guiding you towards choices. Never felt pressured, and found the perfect chairs. Highly recommend!

We recently purchased a bed from James Antony Home and I cannot say enough good things about this company. The furniture in their store is very high end so expect to pay more, but it is definitely worth it. We are so tired of buying furniture and a lot of it is made with veneers, so it doesn't last. James Antony's furniture is the most beautiful and timeless furniture we've seen in the Dallas area. Jennifer was our sales person and she was excellent and the delivery people were very careful. It was a great experience!

I was impressed with this store the first time I visited 3 months ago. I thought they had good prices and high end furniture. Once I had decided on the piece of furniture I wanted, I went back to their store during their “store closing” sale. It’s a misleading advertisement, their prices have now more than doubled and they are selling things at the msrp price or above. Look elsewhere, you will find the exact same furniture without being ripped off. The excuse the manager gives is as ridiculous as their prices.

Beware: They are COMPLETE CROOKS. They have failed to deliver my order and have lied repeatedly as to why the order has not been delivered. You must sue to obtain a refund. Better Business Bureau lists them as unaccredited (very unprofessional). They DO NOT return phone calls. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL SALES STAFF AND MANAGEMENT. Most of the vendors they use can be found by using any furniture store (i.e. Stacy’s, Nebraska, etc.). This is NOT a fine furniture store.

Highly recommend Brianne at James Antony for any home decor and design needs. My sister and I just moved into a new home and needed a rug to tie in with a large painting. Brianne did the work to provide great options and ultimately the final recommendation, which we trusted whole heartedly.
